For over 14 years I have been working on diversified nature of projects
including but not limited to capacity development of institutions and
community as well for development and corporate sector in Pakistan on
responsible roles. Some of the twinkling projects on my career were for
UNICEF, USAID – JHPIEGO, The World Bank, IWMI, Punjab Skills
Development Fund and Procter & Gamble Pakistan. On these

Key Projects at SHMA:
Recently been engaged as trainer and senior assessor (TNA) in a USAID funded capacity
development “Business Skills Training” assignment for MCH Services project of
JHPIEGO. The project aimed to support community midwives in business skills for
management of their private practices, through mentorship as well as class room and
experiential trainings. The training encompassed dimensions of Business Development and
sales, Business operations management, customer management and interpersonal skills.
Along with my major responsibilities I also performed as key team member in design and
conduct of TNA, training modules development, reinforcement training, coordination,
training evaluation etc.
Worked as manager field operations, moderator and Key Informant Interviewer on the
project of UNICEF Sentinel Site Research, Polio Communications, to track iterative data on
community sentiments and perceptions regarding the polio campaign in 15 High Risk
Districts of Sindh. These districts included Karachi (3 districts), Badin, Thatta, Sanghar,
Hyderabad, Sukkur, Khairpur, Shikarpur, Kambar, Kashmore, Larkana, Jacobabad and
Ghotki. The major activities were to manage field teams, conduct FGDs and KIIs and target
achievement with stringent quality controls. Also coordinating with key stake holders such
as district based KOLs and influencers, district based UNICEF teams etc. Field team
development, recruitment and training were also associated with my responsibilities. Also
participated substantially in Data Analysis, content analysis and report writing.
Worked as Project Manager and Key Informant Interviewer on a project of market study to
launch internationally recognized American degree of Master is Public Health in Pakistan.
The target respondents were Executive district Officers health, medical superintendants of
DHQ or civil hospitals from government and CEO/Directors of NGOs serving public health
sector. The geographic scope of the study included Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Sargodha,
Multan, Peshawar and Rawalpindi/Islamabad.
Been engaged as team member on institutional strengthening project to reinforce the for
IWMI (International Water Management Institute) a gender based study component of
Recently been engaged as key team member in two sector skill studies (food processing and
footwear sectors) for Punjab Skills Development Fund to identify the skills gap analysis in
Punjab. The study covered both formal and informal entities in Punjab. The geographic
spread of the assignment covers 19 districts from southern, central and northern Punjab. My
major responsibilities include coordination and management of field operations; training and
mobilization of field teams across Punjab; budget controlling and tracking. Other tasks as
team member included designing of sampling frame, study tool design, data analysis and
report writing after completion of field work
Worked as a team member on various assignments of HR Assessment for Pakistan
Petroleum Ltd., PTCL and SSGC. The main responsibilities were to assess candidates
against various competencies levels. The candidates’ profile was middle to senior
management of PPL.

Implementation and execution of various BTL activities for leading brands of Procter &
Gamble Pakistan, with 100% target achievement within the allocated budgets with regular
field monitoring and evaluation.
Conducted over 75 training programs on various direct marketing campaigns of P&G
Pakistan. These trainings involved trainings of campaign supervisors, back
checkers/monitoring officers and mostly female field staff from various cities of Sindh and
Lower Punjab.
Geographic of my assignments included extensive travelling to more than fifteen districts of
Sindh, three districts of lower Punjab and four districts of Baluchistan.
Coordination with key stake holders like education department, school and college
management, Police and Traffic police were also the part of my responsibilities as some
campaigns were schools and colleges based like “Safeguard School Program” emphasizing
on increased health and hygiene awareness among the students. “Always (Sanitary Napkins)
College Program” emphasizing to educate the girls for problems that they may face when
they reach the age of adolescence. Some campaigns were related to road shows, street
programs and home gathering programs for women
I experienced successful management of large teams - twelve direct sub-ordinates –
supervisors of twelve teams – overall staff of 129(Mixed gender) in Hyderabad, while in
Karachi the figure was more than 300 in almost 25 teams.
Furthermore, as area manger I was responsible for HR functions for these teams, office
management, inventory management, all the financial matters like budget tracking and
controlling and cash management etc.

Hepatitis ‘B’ Vaccination Project
Project Manager [Aug 2002 – Apr 2004]
Initiated, designed and implemented a Hepatitis B awareness and vaccination campaign in
under privileged areas of Sindh utilizing Direct Marketing approach. Major stake holders
were health care professionals, community, NGOs and others. The main objectives were to
raise disease awareness and provide vaccination at significantly discounted rates than that of
commercial organizations. All marketing, administrative, team development, financial,
regulatory and HR aspects were handled successfully for this project. The campaign in
various districts of Sindh focused on raising awareness for Hepatitis B and precautionary
health measures, motivating people for getting vaccinations generally and particularly for
Hepatitis B through organizing Vaccination Camps at famous hospital/clinic/ school/
NGOs’ office/ Nazim office etc.
