Separate Muslims from State Outline
Throughout the depths of recorded history Muslims have constantly committed mass murders upon innocent people in the name of Islam. According to
long established conventional Islamic views, Muhammad's revelations start the Qur'an off in 610. Dating back to as early as 627, the Prophet
Muhammad's followers have been recorded of murdering large numbers of "non–believers" and even believers for that matter (Ye 'or, 1985). While
researching wars declared in the name of Islam, the words "convert" or "die" (more often than not they surfaced together making the claim "convert
or die") surfaced exceedingly often. Despite the common belief imprinted into the minds of nearly every United States citizen/civilian whom
attended or is attending public school with the U.S., oppressing a people based off of their religious beliefs has the ability to be beneficial to the
world on a global scale. Muslims should not be allowed to act as political advocates considering Islam gives approval of segregation, provides
obligations of the religions followers to commit senseless acts of violence, and because of the fact that Islam allows systematic lying as a religious
policy. Throughout this research essay we will discuss facts in regards to traditional and modern Islamic ideology while deciding whether someone of
such beliefs has a place in a position

Anti Semitism As A Conflict Of Religious Identity And...
For many centuries the Jewish people were scowled upon in their society and have been physically and mentally tormented. Anti–Semitism was been
around for many generations, and it ranges from a conflict of religious identity and national identity. The holocaust took place 70 years ago and people
claim that it was the stem of Anti–Semitism, but Anti–Semitism goes as far back as the fourth century, and ultimately helped pave the path for the
Holocaust. Medieval Anti–Semitism took place during the time where the Jews lived under the dominant religion of Christianity under the Roman
Empire in Europe. The Jews during this period suffered from the crusade, blood libels, and hatred from the Christians. This then transitioned into
National Anti–Semitism, which took place during the Enlightenment. Many people during this time were almost "Patriotic" people believed highly in
loyalty to their nation, Jews being the outsiders, who did not share many of the attributes these people had such as language or history were a targets
for this National anti Semitism (modern Anti–Semitism). Thus Christian Anti–Semitism transitioned to modern Anti–Semitism: the enlightenment,
Jew–hatred did not end but rather changed from religious prejudice, god and law, to peoplehood/national aspect, unity of a nation (Why The Jews?–
Secular Antisemitism: The Enlightenment).
There was a period where many of the Christians fundamental beliefs were similar to Judaism, such as monotheism (Why the Jews? –

The Fire Next Time By James Baldwin
The Fire Next Time and its political message
"The country is celebrating one hundred years of freedom one hundred years too soon." (Baldwin, 10) The Fire Next Time, written by James Baldwin
in 1963 brings up the segregation in mid–20th century America with emphasis on the impact of history and politics. Although Baldwin's main focus
was not politics it is nonetheless an important aspect of the racial segregation because it was how the laws were interpreted that constituted the crime.
Even though the law was not on the black populations side Baldwin was hopeful for the future and through politics and history he believed that "we
can make America whet America must become," a state that sees people of all races as equal; and the best way of... Show more content on

Throughout the book Baldwin mentions the Holocaust and in particular on page 52 he writes "For the crime of their ancestry, millions of people in the
middle of the twentieth century, and in the heart of Europe – God's citadel – were sent to death so calculated, so hideous, and so prolonged that no age
before this enlightened one had been able to imagine it."
In Germany, The Jews were persecuted for their religion. In America on the other hand, people were taught that the white population was superior to
the black. The black and white population did not sit on the same side on the bus, the black housekeepers were not allowed to use the same restroom as
white people, and they were denied enrollment to the same schools as white children.
The persecution of many individuals in Germany was due to their Jewish ancestors, the persecuted were accused of having "Jewish blood" because
according to Jewish religion, one must be chosen by the religion from birth; meaning that if one's ancestor was a Jew, then that ancestors treacherous
Jewish blood was prominent in their offspring as well.
Similarly, in Louisiana 1896, Homer Plessy was arrested because he sat in a railroad car designated for the white population. Plessy was 7/8 white
but he was still seen as a black man by the supreme court in the

Should Religion Be Studied In School?
Should Religion be Studied in School?
Should it? Should it? It depends on what the religion itself imparts. If it imparts morals that can relate to success in your future life. Words of
spiritual leaders can motivate the people. You need to know some elementary wisdoms of the 5 major world religions. And I'm going to get a lot of
disapproval for this. We'll go principal to slightest.
Christianity was founded around 15 or 16 AD by a man named Jesus. You've probably heard of him. Some of his most famous teachings are loving
Deity, yourself, and your neighbors (Meaning everyone!) He was born the son of a poor carpenter (Or God, depending on your beliefs.) It is followed
by 2.4 billion people. It gets a pass. You should be able to study it.
Islam was originated in the early 7th century BC by Muhammed or Mohammed depending on spelling. A person is classified as a Muslim if the say
the shahada(Faith) and mean it. In English that is "There is no God but God and Muhammed is the messenger of God." This is affirming that
Muhammed was a prophet. Muslims are expected to follow four other "Pillars." ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Muslims are supposed to pray 5 times a day. Dawn, Noon, Afternoon, Evening and Night. When they pray, they face the Kaaba in Mecca. It is

Representations Of Religion And Western Media
Representations of Religion in Western Media
Islam
There is a current obsession in western media, (during the last decade) pertaining to "Islam and the West". This current obsession is filled with
negative signifiers with the global media's predominantly negative, and to an extent racist portrayal of Islam and Muslims. Muslims are generally
represented as violent, fanatical, bigoted, or as extremists and terrorists. Media coverage of Islam–related issues has changed drastically since the start
of the new millennium, both in quantity and quality. The events the of September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, cast Islam into
the forefront of global media: not only did coverage of Islam rapidly increase, particularly in news and entertainment media, but the way in which
Islam was represented by the media changed as well. The most prevalent Islamic stereotype in western media is the radicalized Muslim insurgent, firm
on waging jihad, or holy war, against the Western world. This stereotype usually depicts violence as an inseparable part of being Muslim, as well as
the religion being a justifier for the violent actions.
An example of this kind of a negative stereotype can be seen in the character of Sayid Jarrah on ABC's LOST. Jarrah, the only central Muslim character
on the show, previously worked for the Iraqi Republican Guard as a communications officer and interrogator, and is frequently shown using torture
techniques to extract information from prisoners.

Islam and Anti-Semitism: A Conflicting Set of Stories

Islam and Anti–Semitism: A Conflicting Set of Histories
History provides us with few disputes as entangled as Jewish–Muslim relations. Though it was not always such a pervasive problem, it has compiled
into one of the most divisive, exclusive, and problematic debates of the current era. Countless scholars have attempted to interpret the Muslim outlook
towards the Jewish people. Islamic anti–Semitism is one of the greatest oversimplified nuances of the modern Middle East and of Islamic theology. The
mere mentioning of Islam in conjunction with anti–Semitism, can act as a prism through which passes widely varying opinions, histories, and myopias.
It can be argued that it is a dire imperative that must be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In his work Islam and Islamism Tibi Bassam agrees with Lewis that Judeophobia existed throughout the history of Islam, but was greatly modified in
more recent times. He believes that the more genocidal form of anti–Semitism was a German creation and that Islamic form was much more harmless
(prior to the twentieth century). Bassam states that the Islamic world did not see a more radical anti–Semitism until the 1930s (by Arab nationalists,
not Islamists specifically per se). He does concede however, that the current form of Islamic anti–Semitism is a dangerous phenomenon. It should be
noted that Bassam believes Islam is inherently free as a culture and faith of this hatred, but it "is a basic feature of contemporary Islamism."
Another argument against true nature of Islamic Anti–Semitism comes from Bernard Lewis. Lewis contends that early Islamic Anti–Semitism was
mostly harmless. He asserts that while Muslim populations have perpetuated derogatory Jewish stereotypes throughout much of the history of Islam,
things did not escalate until more recent times. In comparison to anti–Semitism exacted by European Christians, Muslims lived not in fear of the Jews,
but made a mockery of them. Lewis believes that Islamic anti–Semitism did not become aggravated until the 19th century. If this is the case, then were

This picture was taken on the 13th of January, 1979, during a protest at Tehran University. Students gathered in the square holding up images of
Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. This was during the time of the Iranian Revolution which was a turning point in Iran's history. The reasons for the
revolution among the Iranian's was the lack of wealth and lack of employment opportunities. There were also religious concerns, foreign political
involvement, the use of the secret police and repression. Khomeini was the religious leader of the revolution and successfully turned Iran into an Islamic

We Should Reach out to Muslims Essay
Do we, the United States, the West, have an argument with Islam? We surely have an argument with a lot of Muslims. The media in Muslim countries
are full of anti–Americanism. Furthermore, most Muslim countries practice forms of government completely at odds with the political ideas cherished
by Americans. They are despotic and intolerant. Muslim countries seem to conform to the pattern of so–called "shame" cultures, in which the rightness
and wrongness of deeds are judged not by some moral compass, but by the reactions of onlookers.
And then there is the dreadful antisemitism with which Islam seems to be riddled. From professors of theology at Saudi universities to New York City
cab drivers, it sometimes seems you only have to scratch ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If so, why are all those Muslims being so nice to some people? Seeking enlightenment, I tried reading the Koran. This didn't get me very far. Frankly, I
found the thing unreadable. It seems to have no narrative thread, like the Gospels or the historical books of the Old Testament. It reads, in fact, like the
boring bits of the Bible: Deuteronomy, or Revelations, or one of the more tiresome prophets.
I don't know that this really signifies, though. Other people's scriptures are always a tough read. I had a go at some Buddhist scriptures once; they
were pretty darn boring, too. The Analects of Confucius is in my opinion a seriously dull book.(Analects) The thing about scriptures is that they are
not to be taken like any other book. You have to soak yourself in them, preferably from early childhood. For best results, you have to memorize them–
as devout Muslims do the Koran, and as gentlemen in Imperial China used to do with the Analects. One of those latter, the 11th–century scholar Cheng
Yi, reported that when he read the Analects his hands unconsciously began to dance and his feet to stamp.
Reading the scriptures of your religion is not like reading a novel or a poem. It is another kind of experience, one not available to outsiders.
Lacking the will to do a full textual analysis of Muslim scripture, can I perhaps argue from its well–known tenets that Islam is a nutso religion, that
requires its

Why You Should Be Religiously Tolerant
Why You Should Be Religiously Tolerant
Religion is a very sensitive topic, for many reasons. Since it is so very sensitive, it is often the most targeted. I believe that people are often blinded
by many factors and forget why we are the United States of America. People end up persecuted for theirfaith and maybe even hurt. I stand here saying
that religion is faith in which an individual finds comfort and safety; those with opposing views should not criticize, ridicule, or shun others due to a
certain faith. In other and simpler terms: strive to religiously tolerant. To begin with, I would like to point out that we have already promised the
world we will be an unprejudiced nation. This is how we are unique, and this is what we are known for. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, anyone can print, write, or say what they would like about other religions and the followers. They are allowed to hate every single
religion if that is what they want. However, deciding to be intolerant to other faiths is a rather difficult task as, "According to a 2014 study by the Pew
Research Center, 70.6% of the American population identified themselves as Christian, with 46.5%...considered Protestant, and 20.8% professing
Roman Catholic beliefs...Judaism, Buddhism, Islam, and Hinduism...collectively make up about 6% of the population(Wikipedia, Religion in the
United States). For clarification purposes, this 6% makes up for approximately 20,000,000 citizens of the United States of America. You can only
imagine how large the other percentages really are. From this study, one can also note that many people follow different faiths. Are you really going
to waste time and energy throwing whatever is in your power at these people? You are bound to meet one of them someday, for there are so many. Do
you not believe so? All–in–all, yes, you can say you are not required to be tolerant, but if you made the effort, life would

The Armenian Genocide In Maus By Art Spiegelman
Maus, written by Art Spiegelman, recounts the story of his father's harrowing journey through Auschwitz during World War II. Spiegelman uses an
unconventional and unusual genre, the graphic novel, to portray the gruesomeness of history's best documented genocide. Art Spiegelman chose to
depict the Holocaust because of his father's connection to it. However, the Holocaust is not the only genocide that has had a significant impact on the
world. Spiegelman could have used the Rwandan or the Armenian genocide as the setting for his story while still conveying the horrid realities of a
genocide. All three Genocides have influenced society's view of mass murder, but the Holocaust has several unique aspects that set it apart. Incidents of

Was Anti Semitism Justified
Anti Anti–Semitism?
Does "Judenhass" sound scientific? Not to the Germans, who In 1879 developed the word "anti–Semite" to describe "Jew Hatred", as the term
Judenhass, did not sound scientific enough to the Germans. Although the term, "anti–Semitism" was not commonly use till the 19th century,
unjustified hatred towards Jews seems to have been in existence from very early on. In fact, it seems the very foundation of the Jewish people was a
result of the their being singled out for no reason other than their ancestry to be slaves in Egypt. Ancient history is flooded with examples of Greeks
and Romans preventing Jewish observances, destroying temples and exiling the Jews. Pagan and pre–Christian anti–Semitism was ethnic in nature. ...

In both modern times as well as from 1071–1349 anti–Semitism seems to be a religious based hatred as opposed to racial or ideological based hatred
as anti–Semitism has been in other historical periods. While in 1071–1349 the anti–Semitism was justified based on Christian ideology, in modern
Europe anti–Semitism seems justified under to radical islam theology. Both today and in 1074–1349 antisemitism fluctuated by place to place. The
attitudes of local kings, or head of states determined how Jews were treated in a particular village, town or region. In some areas Jews lived in peace
and in other areas they were persecuted daily. In Europe today anti–Semitism varies region by region and the degree and intensity of anti semitism
varies. For example while Sweden did not have any anti anti–Semitic incidents in 2015, Germany had over 1,500. Another similarity is that anti
semitism in both modern times and in the period of 1071–1349 resulted in the relocation of Jews. For example, In 1290, after a massacre, the Jews
were expelled. In Europe today while Jews aren't expelled, the attacks have become so frequent that Jews live in fear and have begun to that have
began to emigrate from Europe. As noted by Moshe Kantor, the president of the European Jewish Congress, stated "Over the past few years, tens of
thousands of Jews have left Europe to seek a safer home elsewhere, and today, one–third of Europe's nearly 2.5 million Jews are considering
emigration. Whole areas of Europe are being emptied of Jews."

Holocaust Denial
Introduction Even though Holocaust denial was not a new–fangled phenomenon in Germany at the end of the 1980s, it was not before this period that
it was given such public attention. For the duration of the late 1980s and near the beginning of the 1990s Germany became the arena for perhaps the
most combined push for promotion that the Holocaust denial interest group has ever tried. Besides the annual conferences of the Society for
Historical Review in California, Holocaust deniers did not and by and large still do not, habitually become visible together at gatherings.
Additionally, in no other country have Holocaust deniers linked so often and so openly with the political far right as they did in Germany in the late
1980s and early on in the 1990s. Scores of important German Holocaust deniers were affiliates of German far right parties, together with every
German Holocaust denier observed in the current thesis. Additionally, a lot of the rallies and functions which both local and foreign deniers addressed
were planned by far right political parties with by other groups on the right extreme of the political scale. Starting as a sequence of restricted
engagements (distinguished for their sovereignty, most early deniers made no attempt to create ties between one another), deniers at the outset forged
no meticulous identity outside of the political stadium. To a certain extent, they were by now and effortlessly particular for their explicit anti–Semitism

Anti–Semitism did not become so popular until the killing of Jesus. People center the idea of antisemitism with the Holocaust and Hitler's influence to
make it happen but hatred towards the Jewish people has existed since the middle ages.

America the great melting pot. Some have argued that the melting pot analogy is inaccurate. Instead America is like a tossed salad. A person can see
all the individual ingredients that make up the salad. People will argue of what can go into a salad and what cannot go into just as people will argue
about the place of certain groups with America. Some find disgust in certain groups of people and praise other. The situation is dynamic. The way
people interact with groups are constantly changing and morphing due to different influences. Antisemitism is one of the ways people interact with the
tossed salad that is America. Antisemitism inUnited States is on a decline because other groups are being used as scapegoats instead, Jews are not seen
to pose a threat, a strong Holocaust remembrance, and the hatred of African Americans continues to be the predominate form of hate in the American
context.
The FBI website lays out the numbers. The site has hate crime statistics up to 2014. In 2014 there were 609 anti– Jewish biased hate incidents compared

Main Aspects of the Holocaust This project looks back at many of the main aspects of the Holocaust. On most topics I have focused in on one
particular event or place (like Auschwitz for the camps or Kristallnacht for the Nazi rise). I did this as I think the Holocaust has to be looked upon
on a more personal and individual level to see how bad it was and you can't really do this by simply over viewing a certain topic. I have chosen to
cover the main bog standard areas like camps, Ghettos etc. Because, although it is slightly unoriginal, I knew little about them and wanted to find
something out. Also, I don't think people appreciate just how bad some aspects (like the Ghettos) actually were. I... Show more content on

The party targeted the German people's needs and aspirations, promising economic stability and the rise of Germany to "where it belonged"
among the other thriving nations of the world. Also it provided a blame for the failure of their country and the loss of the war claiming that their
government, who allied with the Jews had thus given their country a stab in the back. Apparently, the Jews had weakened the governments morale
and will to fight. Finally, the party also claimed that only someone of German blood could be considered a rightful citizen of Germany, i.e. no Jew
should be allowed to live in Germany, which was what this message was discreetly implying. Throughout this time, Hitler was at the forefront of
the Nazi party's rise to power, using his likeable and persuasive personality, along with his ability to draw and win a crowd with his powerful public

the Nazi party attempted and failed to take over Germany, seeing Hitler land himself with a 5 year prison sentence, which eventually ended up being a

Causes Of Cultural Identity In North Africa
North African Youth's Search for Cultural Identity Many young North Africans struggle to find a cultural identity that fits them. There are several
reasons that this is issue is so prevalent in North Africa. Many aspects of the foreign involvement that North Africa has been subjected to have impeded
the regions ability to forge national identities. The results of this lack of identity have been varied and, while some young North Africans have turned
to destructive behaviors, others have made the most out of their situation. Against all odds, many young North Africans have found ways of creating
their own cultural identities and communities. Though cultural identity is not something that is effortlessly attainable in North Africa, the young people
have found methods of connecting with each other and their countries. One cause of the lack of national identity in many North African countries is
the fact that for most of modern history, North Africa has been ruled by other powers. During the 16th and 17th century, much of North Africa was
under the control of the Ottoman Empire (Hourani 209). Following very soon after Ottoman rule, North Africa was colonized by France, England,
Spain, and Italy (282). European colonialism was arguably the biggest setback for North Africa in forging national identities. Colonizers dislocated
cultural ties and created tensions in a variety of ways. The countries that now make up North African were created by the boarders that colonial powers

The History of Religious Conflicts in America Essay
The History of Religious Conflicts in America
Throughout its history, the United States has characteristically remained a country of two things: a country of immigrants, and a country of unmatched
religious diversity. And yet when compared with the rest of the world– where these two very factors alone have so often engendered horrible religious
wars and decades of enduring conflict – the history of religious conflict in the United States seems almost nonexistent.
That is not to say the United States has been immune to its share of conflict explicitly rooted in religion. This paper explores the various manifestations
of religious conflict throughout the history of the United States, from the Revolutionary War to the attacks of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Due to the distance from England and the room in the colonies, many religions were able to establish themselves in America, colony by colony. For
example, Anglicans, who conformed to the Church of England, populated Virginia. Massachusetts was home to the Puritans. Pennsylvania was full of
Quakers. Baptists ruled in Rhode Island. And Roman Catholics found a haven in Maryland, where they could establish themselves amid the other
colonists' protestant majority. Each of these colonies maintained a distinct religious character and favored one religious denomination's power.
The American colonists saw the revolution not only as a war for political independence, but to protect the religious diversity of the thirteen colonies.
Put in other terms, it was a war for religious independence and freedom. To sever ties with Mother England would be to ensure that the various
Christian denominations could co–exist on the American continent. The conflict was, in part, a conflict that pitted the various American religious
denominations against the Church of England, who wanted to impose a uniform, Anglican religion on the colonies.
Early Religious Persecution
The period after the Revolutionary War saw a lot of infighting between the various states and Christian denominations. Virginia, which was home to the

Was Martin Luther King The King Of The Civil Rights Movement?
Civil Rights in the USA: Was Martin Luther King the King of the Civil Rights Movement?
The Civil Rights Movement was a drive to secure equality for African Americans, giving them the same rights of US citizenship. The process was long
and intense, peaking in the 1960s. Martin Luther King once said, "Civil Rights activists should work together to reach a shared goal. " Yes, Martin
Luther King was a contributing factor in the movement, conversely, other people such as Malcolm X, Rosa Parks, Little Rock Nine, and Andrew
Goodman were also very important. I believe that it was the tactics of non–violence, which proved crucial in the fight against racial segregation.
Arguably, Martin Luther King can be seen as the most crucial figure in the Civil Rights Movement. Using tactics of non–violence through speeches and
civil disobedience, boycotts, protests, and marches. King's accomplishments are numerous, and he carried his work out up to his assassination.
Commencing his work in December 1955, he and Nixon planned 'The Montgomery bus boycott' which lasted 385 days. Among the participants was
Rosa Parks, who was also one of the most influential activists. The situation became so intense, that it led to King's house being bombed and him
being arrested during his campaign. Fortunately, his efforts were not in vain as racial segregation was terminated on all Montgomery buses. Perhaps
his most recognized achievement was his 'I Have a Dream' speech, which is widely regarded as a

Essay on THE NWA
N.W.A (an abbreviation of Niggaz Wit Attitudes)[1][2][3] was an American hip hop group from Compton, California, widely considered one of the
seminal acts of the gangsta rap and west coast hip hop sub–genres, sometimes credited as the most important group in the history of rap music.[4]
Active from 1986 to 1991, the rap group endured controversy due to the explicit lyrics that many considered to be disrespectful to women, and
glorifying drugs and crime. The group was subsequently banned from many mainstream American radio stations. In spite of this, the group has sold
over 10 million units in the United States alone.
The original lineup consisted of Arabian Prince, DJ Yella,Dr. Dre, Eazy–E, and Ice Cube. MC Ren joined in 1988, with ... Show more content on

However, the taboo nature of N.W.A's music was the most important factor of its mass appeal. Media coverage compensated for N.W.A's lack of
airplay and their album eventually went double platinum.[16] One month after Straight Outta Compton, Eazy–E's solo debut Eazy–Duz–It was released.
The album was dominated by Eazy's persona–MC Ren was the only guest rapper–but behind the scenes it was a group effort. Music was handled by Dr.
Dre and DJ Yella; the lyrics were largely written by MC Ren, with contributions from Ice Cube and The D.O.C. The album was another double
platinum success for Ruthless[17] (in addition to girl group J.J. Fad in 1988 and singer Michel'le in 1989). 1989 saw the re–issue of N.W.A and the
Posse and Straight Outta Compton on CD, and the release of The D.O.C.'s No One Can Do It Better. His album was essentially a collaboration with
Dr. Dre and notably free of "gangsta rap" content, however including the N.W.A posse cut "The Grand FinalГ©." It would become another #1 album
for the record label.
"100 Miles And Runnin'" and Niggaz4Life (1989–1991)[edit]
Ice Cube left in December 1989 over royalty disputes;[3] having written almost half of the lyrics on Straight Outta Compton himself, he felt he was not
getting a fair share of the money and profits.[18] He wasted little

Jews : The Forever Faithful

Jews: The Forever Faithful
Most people today immediately think about the holocaust when they put the words suffering and Jews together. However, there are layers of history
buried beneath the holocaust that is unseen by the common eye. Jews have been persecuted for what seems like the beginning of time for their beliefs.
It is ironic that today's most popular religions were so hostile towards their own origins. The holocaust is an add–on to truly confirm people's ignorance.
The Jewish people are sturdy enough to withstand the test of time and sheer faith has driven them this far.
Judaism is the first major monotheistic religion that set the stage for the growth of Christianity and Islam. Judaism is fairly simple when you look
at it from the surface and only a few of its beliefs directly conflict with both other religions. To start off, the basic guidelines for any Jewish person
would be Rambam's 13 Principles of Faith. The 13 Principles of Faith is a list of Jewish beliefs and is widely accepted across all branches of Judaism.
The principles confirm G–d's existence and his godliness, state that devotion to only G–d is mandatory, says that G–d cares for the good and disciplines
the bad, the Messiah will come, and that the dead will be resurrected.
Adding onto the faiths, Jews are required to adhere to the Hebrew bible without question or personal interpretations. The Hebrew bible is composed of
three sections and each has

The Nazi 's And The Middle East
Throughout history there have been groups that have forever shaped the world politically, socially, and economically. The Nazi regime left a
tremendous impact on the world; especially the Middle East. These impacts are still felt today. Indeed, the Nazi party had a tremendous impact on Arab
nationalism, Islamism, and the actions that were taken by the Palestinian Arab Movement, that were the genesis of the radicalization of today's Islamic
state. The Nazis were able to influence these aspects through the connection of their similar ideologies, along with intense champagnes of anti–Semitic
propaganda.
The Nazi party (also known as The National Socialist German Workers ' Party), is a group built on the foundations of Militant ideologies, German
Nationalism, anti–Marxism, and racism that included but not limited to antisemitism. Adolf Hitler was the leader of the Nazi regime who under his
leadership, were responsible for the massacre of millions of European Jews.
Understanding the Nazi's and the Middle East perceptions of one another is fundamental to comprehending why their individual histories are forever
intertwined. Though Hitler by no means saw the people of the Middle East as his equals he, along with his military leaders saw that his relationship
with the Arab world would be vital to achieving the Nazi's goals both militarily, and territorially. The Nazis were concerned with how they were
perceived by the Middle East. The Nazis believed that if they gained favor

Separate Muslims From State Outline

  • 1. Separate Muslims From State Outline Separate Muslims from State Daniel M Elliott (Jr) ENG122 Nancy Segovia September 20, 2014 Separate Muslims from State Outline Throughout the depths of recorded history Muslims have constantly committed mass murders upon innocent people in the name of Islam. According to long established conventional Islamic views, Muhammad's revelations start the Qur'an off in 610. Dating back to as early as 627, the Prophet Muhammad's followers have been recorded of murdering large numbers of "non–believers" and even believers for that matter (Ye 'or, 1985). While researching wars declared in the name of Islam, the words "convert" or "die" (more often than not they surfaced together making the claim "convert or die") surfaced exceedingly often. Despite the common belief imprinted into the minds of nearly every United States citizen/civilian whom attended or is attending public school with the U.S., oppressing a people based off of their religious beliefs has the ability to be beneficial to the world on a global scale. Muslims should not be allowed to act as political advocates considering Islam gives approval of segregation, provides obligations of the religions followers to commit senseless acts of violence, and because of the fact that Islam allows systematic lying as a religious policy. Throughout this research essay we will discuss facts in regards to traditional and modern Islamic ideology while deciding whether someone of such beliefs has a place in a position ... • 2. Anti Semitism As A Conflict Of Religious Identity And... For many centuries the Jewish people were scowled upon in their society and have been physically and mentally tormented. Anti–Semitism was been around for many generations, and it ranges from a conflict of religious identity and national identity. The holocaust took place 70 years ago and people claim that it was the stem of Anti–Semitism, but Anti–Semitism goes as far back as the fourth century, and ultimately helped pave the path for the Holocaust. Medieval Anti–Semitism took place during the time where the Jews lived under the dominant religion of Christianity under the Roman Empire in Europe. The Jews during this period suffered from the crusade, blood libels, and hatred from the Christians. This then transitioned into National Anti–Semitism, which took place during the Enlightenment. Many people during this time were almost "Patriotic" people believed highly in loyalty to their nation, Jews being the outsiders, who did not share many of the attributes these people had such as language or history were a targets for this National anti Semitism (modern Anti–Semitism). Thus Christian Anti–Semitism transitioned to modern Anti–Semitism: the enlightenment, Jew–hatred did not end but rather changed from religious prejudice, god and law, to peoplehood/national aspect, unity of a nation (Why The Jews?– Secular Antisemitism: The Enlightenment). There was a period where many of the Christians fundamental beliefs were similar to Judaism, such as monotheism (Why the Jews? – ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Fire Next Time By James Baldwin The Fire Next Time and its political message "The country is celebrating one hundred years of freedom one hundred years too soon." (Baldwin, 10) The Fire Next Time, written by James Baldwin in 1963 brings up the segregation in mid–20th century America with emphasis on the impact of history and politics. Although Baldwin's main focus was not politics it is nonetheless an important aspect of the racial segregation because it was how the laws were interpreted that constituted the crime. Even though the law was not on the black populations side Baldwin was hopeful for the future and through politics and history he believed that "we can make America whet America must become," a state that sees people of all races as equal; and the best way of... Throughout the book Baldwin mentions the Holocaust and in particular on page 52 he writes "For the crime of their ancestry, millions of people in the middle of the twentieth century, and in the heart of Europe – God's citadel – were sent to death so calculated, so hideous, and so prolonged that no age before this enlightened one had been able to imagine it." In Germany, The Jews were persecuted for their religion. In America on the other hand, people were taught that the white population was superior to the black. The black and white population did not sit on the same side on the bus, the black housekeepers were not allowed to use the same restroom as white people, and they were denied enrollment to the same schools as white children. The persecution of many individuals in Germany was due to their Jewish ancestors, the persecuted were accused of having "Jewish blood" because according to Jewish religion, one must be chosen by the religion from birth; meaning that if one's ancestor was a Jew, then that ancestors treacherous Jewish blood was prominent in their offspring as well. If it imparts morals that can relate to success in your future life. Words of spiritual leaders can motivate the people. You need to know some elementary wisdoms of the 5 major world religions. And I'm going to get a lot of disapproval for this. We'll go principal to slightest. Christianity was founded around 15 or 16 AD by a man named Jesus. You've probably heard of him. Some of his most famous teachings are loving Deity, yourself, and your neighbors (Meaning everyone!) He was born the son of a poor carpenter (Or God, depending on your beliefs.) It is followed by 2.4 billion people. It gets a pass. You should be able to study it. Islam was originated in the early 7th century BC by Muhammed or Mohammed depending on spelling. • 5. Representations Of Religion And Western Media Representations of Religion in Western Media Islam There is a current obsession in western media, (during the last decade) pertaining to "Islam and the West". This current obsession is filled with negative signifiers with the global media's predominantly negative, and to an extent racist portrayal of Islam and Muslims. Muslims are generally represented as violent, fanatical, bigoted, or as extremists and terrorists. Media coverage of Islam–related issues has changed drastically since the start of the new millennium, both in quantity and quality. The events the of September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, cast Islam into the forefront of global media: not only did coverage of Islam rapidly increase, particularly in news and entertainment media, but the way in which Islam was represented by the media changed as well. The most prevalent Islamic stereotype in western media is the radicalized Muslim insurgent, firm on waging jihad, or holy war, against the Western world. This stereotype usually depicts violence as an inseparable part of being Muslim, as well as the religion being a justifier for the violent actions. An example of this kind of a negative stereotype can be seen in the character of Sayid Jarrah on ABC's LOST. Jarrah, the only central Muslim character on the show, previously worked for the Iraqi Republican Guard as a communications officer and interrogator, and is frequently shown using torture techniques to extract information from prisoners. ... Islam and Anti-Semitism: A Conflicting Set of Stories REL–222–01 11 Nov 2013 Islam and Anti–Semitism: A Conflicting Set of Histories History provides us with few disputes as entangled as Jewish–Muslim relations. Though it was not always such a pervasive problem, it has compiled into one of the most divisive, exclusive, and problematic debates of the current era. Countless scholars have attempted to interpret the Muslim outlook towards the Jewish people. Islamic anti–Semitism is one of the greatest oversimplified nuances of the modern Middle East and of Islamic theology. The mere mentioning of Islam in conjunction with anti–Semitism, can act as a prism through which passes widely varying opinions, histories, and myopias. In his work Islam and Islamism Tibi Bassam agrees with Lewis that Judeophobia existed throughout the history of Islam, but was greatly modified in more recent times. He believes that the more genocidal form of anti–Semitism was a German creation and that Islamic form was much more harmless (prior to the twentieth century). Bassam states that the Islamic world did not see a more radical anti–Semitism until the 1930s (by Arab nationalists, not Islamists specifically per se). He does concede however, that the current form of Islamic anti–Semitism is a dangerous phenomenon. It should be noted that Bassam believes Islam is inherently free as a culture and faith of this hatred, but it "is a basic feature of contemporary Islamism." Another argument against true nature of Islamic Anti–Semitism comes from Bernard Lewis. Lewis contends that early Islamic Anti–Semitism was mostly harmless. He asserts that while Muslim populations have perpetuated derogatory Jewish stereotypes throughout much of the history of Islam, things did not escalate until more recent times. In comparison to anti–Semitism exacted by European Christians, Muslims lived not in fear of the Jews, but made a mockery of them. Lewis believes that Islamic anti–Semitism did not become aggravated until the 19th century. If this is the case, then were these ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. We Should Reach out to Muslims Essay Do we, the United States, the West, have an argument with Islam? We surely have an argument with a lot of Muslims. The media in Muslim countries are full of anti–Americanism. Furthermore, most Muslim countries practice forms of government completely at odds with the political ideas cherished by Americans. They are despotic and intolerant. Muslim countries seem to conform to the pattern of so–called "shame" cultures, in which the rightness and wrongness of deeds are judged not by some moral compass, but by the reactions of onlookers. If so, why are all those Muslims being so nice to some people? Seeking enlightenment, I tried reading the Koran. This didn't get me very far. Frankly, I found the thing unreadable. It seems to have no narrative thread, like the Gospels or the historical books of the Old Testament. It reads, in fact, like the boring bits of the Bible: Deuteronomy, or Revelations, or one of the more tiresome prophets. I don't know that this really signifies, though. Other people's scriptures are always a tough read. I had a go at some Buddhist scriptures once; they were pretty darn boring, too. The Analects of Confucius is in my opinion a seriously dull book.(Analects) The thing about scriptures is that they are not to be taken like any other book. You have to soak yourself in them, preferably from early childhood. For best results, you have to memorize them– as devout Muslims do the Koran, and as gentlemen in Imperial China used to do with the Analects. One of those latter, the 11th–century scholar Cheng Yi, reported that when he read the Analects his hands unconsciously began to dance and his feet to stamp. Reading the scriptures of your religion is not like reading a novel or a poem. It is another kind of experience, one not available to outsiders. Since it is so very sensitive, it is often the most targeted. I believe that people are often blinded by many factors and forget why we are the United States of America. People end up persecuted for theirfaith and maybe even hurt. I stand here saying that religion is faith in which an individual finds comfort and safety; those with opposing views should not criticize, ridicule, or shun others due to a certain faith. Not to the Germans, who In 1879 developed the word "anti–Semite" to describe "Jew Hatred", as the term Judenhass, did not sound scientific enough to the Germans. Although the term, "anti–Semitism" was not commonly use till the 19th century, unjustified hatred towards Jews seems to have been in existence from very early on. Holocaust Denial Introduction Even though Holocaust denial was not a new–fangled phenomenon in Germany at the end of the 1980s, it was not before this period that it was given such public attention. For the duration of the late 1980s and near the beginning of the 1990s Germany became the arena for perhaps the most combined push for promotion that the Holocaust denial interest group has ever tried. Besides the annual conferences of the Society for Historical Review in California, Holocaust deniers did not and by and large still do not, habitually become visible together at gatherings. Additionally, in no other country have Holocaust deniers linked so often and so openly with the political far right as they did in Germany in the late 1980s and early on in the 1990s. Scores of important German Holocaust deniers were affiliates of German far right parties, together with every German Holocaust denier observed in the current thesis. Additionally, a lot of the rallies and functions which both local and foreign deniers addressed were planned by far right political parties with by other groups on the right extreme of the political scale. There are several reasons that this is issue is so prevalent in North Africa. Many aspects of the foreign involvement that North Africa has been subjected to have impeded the regions ability to forge national identities. The results of this lack of identity have been varied and, while some young North Africans have turned to destructive behaviors, others have made the most out of their situation. Against all odds, many young North Africans have found ways of creating their own cultural identities and communities. Though cultural identity is not something that is effortlessly attainable in North Africa, the young people have found methods of connecting with each other and their countries. One cause of the lack of national identity in many North African countries is the fact that for most of modern history, North Africa has been ruled by other powers. During the 16th and 17th century, much of North Africa was under the control of the Ottoman Empire (Hourani 209). Following very soon after Ottoman rule, North Africa was colonized by France, England, Spain, and Italy (282). European colonialism was arguably the biggest setback for North Africa in forging national identities. Colonizers dislocated cultural ties and created tensions in a variety of ways.
