2. • The tool that I found to be most useful was starting my own Twitter account. I found it to be very
exciting because I could follow different areas under one account on my android device. I was into
social media via Facebook, but found that starting my own Twitter account was much more exciting and
useful than scrolling through all my friends posts. I can pick and choose what or who I wanted to follow
and be more selective when choosing.
3. One success that I had during this class was learning about the different social media tools and sites
that are out there for the educator. Very interesting and beneficial, can’t wait to use some of the social
media tools that I learned about in my own classroom.
4. • Another success that I had from taking this course was different webs and that were available to
educators and non-educators to help with enhancing the internet into your business for distant learners
of all types. It taught me that you do not have to be the traditional learner by sitting in the classroom,
you can actually learn distantly by using different resources on the internet such as blogs, websites, and
wiki’s.
5. One challenge that I encountered in this course was learning different search engines. I feel that I’m
computer savvy, but I struggled in some areas to create some of these sites even after watching the
video’s numerous times, then I found myself just playing around with the particular site and getting the
hang of it.
6. I enjoyed taking the online course because it allowed me to take the course at my own pace in the
comfort of my own home.
It gave me more flexibility since I’m a single mom of a 10 year old daughter knowing that I could do the
work at my leisure and not have to worry about sitting in a classroom one night a week for several
hours and worrying about finding a sitter for her.
It also gave me comfort that the instructor was an email away if I had any issues as well as having
discussion boards available to chat with fellow classmates when needed.
7. I wasn’t too pleased at first with Moodle, it was something new to me that I wasn’t comfortable with
until I played around with it and became familiar with it.
Once I became familiar with Moodle and understood Moodle, I enjoyed working with it and would
recommend it to my fellow educators to look into and experiment with.
I feel that it’s a good resource and tool for any educator to use and become familiar with to help
enhance their classroom and students.
