3. Challenges of Social Media Maintenance Numerous Options Organizing all of the tools so that they work for my needs. Time to develop my PLN in way that goes beyond the surface.
4. Twitter Twitter has grown on me since the beginning of the class. The most difficult part was making connections, as I don’t have several educator friends who use twitter for educational purposes. I did enjoy following many of the education magazines that are geared towards children.
5. LinkedIn This is my least favorite tool. I chose it to try to be open minded to trying something new. The development of connections takes time, that I don’t think I want to invest. I do not like the idea of people being able to find me in that way. I know that it has its benefits, I just feel very exposed.
6. Delicious MOST USEFUL TOOL!!! The ability to have all of my bookmarks in one place no matter where I am, is a WONDERFUL thing. Delicious was the tool that I found to be the easiest to use once I understood the format. Creating a network to gain other ideas from was the most challenging part, but it is slowly coming along.
7. Stixy Stixy is a tool that is convenient to use. I like the format of the pages. I think that this will be a valuable tool use in the classroom. I didn’t have any challenges with Stixy. I was my own biggest challenge. I needed to limit how much information to use, but it’s great to have information that can travel with me. I will definitely use Stixy for areas outside of education.
8. Moodle and Online Learning I have used several modes of online learning. The course was well organized and the goals were easy to understand. The ease of using this Moodle was slightly more difficult to use than I have come across, but with time it became easier to navigate. I will always be a fan of online learning!!!
