What do I like best/least about the
magazine? I like the use of the colour red for
the important bits on the magazine, as it
makes them stand out and matches the logo.
I least like that the logo covers up quite a lot
of the key image.

wanted to look at a magazine which is designed
for purely rock, and see the type of style it would
have and be set out like.

feature? Rock music.

although quite a range of females also read the
magazine.
Attractions: Kerrang! Readers have been proven to
be attracted to gigs, concerts and an outgoing
lifestyle that revolves around music.

What do I like best/least about the magazine? I
like that the fonts used on the masthead and the
coverline makes the text stand out, and suit the
genre of rock quite well.
5. Why have I chosen this magazine? Because I wanted
to look at a magazine which is designed for all
different types of music.
What kind of music does the magazine usually
feature? Americana, rock and alternative country,
both old and new. – Uncut promotes music that are
stereotypically listened to by men.
Uncut’s audience? is designed for 25-45 year old
males, with the average reader at age 37.
Who owns/ publishes the magazine?
Allan Jones – He started out with the idea of a
younger audience in mind.
Published by: IPC media (Inspire) – They revealed
back in 2010 that the magazine circulates around
74,000, with 40,000 of that in the UK.
