Responsibilities
• Project manages all aspects of ships combat systems planned and preventative maintenance.
• Contractor management for urgent corrective maintenance
• Tender and Maintenance evaluation technical support
• Provide induction and safety briefs
Achievements
• Found and managed repair of software error on protocol analyser which had been there since
ship build (approx. 7 years)
• Found and managed repair of alignment error on Ship Inertial Navigation System (SINS)
benchmark which had been there since ship build (approx. 7 years)
• Found and escalated up to Combat EL&S a communications port error on ESM / C2 which
appears to have been a class issue since system upgrade (approx. 10 years)
• Sent PARRAMATTA on 2008 Gulf deployment with only one combat system defect and
received thankyou from ship and ANZAC SPO director.
• Maintained PARRAMATTA with least outstanding urgent defects (URDEFs) of any of the
ANZAC class ships during my period with Saab.

Achievements
• During the design of the Wide area jackpot system for Golden casket I invented two methods for
awarding prizes which were patentable providing the customer with marketable IP
• When designing the wide area jackpot system for golden casket, I ensured early delivery to
enable the customer to be first to market.
• When designing the wide area jackpot system for golden casket I designed the security of the
system to such a high level that it became the basis of the regulatory standard making it more
difficult for competitors to enter the market place.
• Designed a CCCE flow through board to enable NSW gaming establishments to implement the
then new state wide jackpot system which could not have gone ahead without this board.
