3. What I Learnt will be
shown throughout the
following slides
4. Preliminary task
From the preliminary task I learnt about a various of rules such as
180 degree rule. As a non pervious media student everything was
new to me so learning the 180 degree rule was important to me.
Following on we was allocated to groups and to perform our own
180 degree rule. Once performing this and making my own I
understood why it is a rule how it could damage the film believability
.
Another task which was set for preliminary task was match on match
action I saw match on match action this was more of various shots.
5. Other key things I have learnt
When working in my preliminary I worked with new people I have never worken with before.
Our group clicked on well right away everyone pitched ideas. This right away made me gain
communication skills. Another thing I learnt was the difference between an analogue camera
and digital camera. I wanted the film to have a more cinematic feel towards the audience so
deciding to use a analogue camera made more sense and it was not very difficult to use, neither
was the HD camera a difference between them is digital has square waves whereas analogue
has sine waves. I learnt about experimenting with different camera angles and which angle
would suit the footage I wanted. Most of the time if the sound was recorded on the analogue
camera it would not be picked up clear, so I decided to teach my self on how to use a boom
microphone. Lastly the skill I learnt was editing using different applications such as final cut pro
to apply the best.
