1. Evaluation Question 6
What have you learnt about technologies from the process of
constructing this product?
2. Constructing this opening sequence I learnt that by using a tripod it makes a
huge difference as after filming the first time we noticed that the shots
where we didn’t use a tripod, they are a bit shaky and don’t look
professional. Also using a tripod to do a track shot was a lot easier because
we could use the handle to keep it steady and at a consistent speed. We
used a Nikon D3300 SLR digital camera for the first filming session but
struggled to get the filming onto the Mac computer so when were filmed we
filmed on our phones which still are a very high quality and made it easier to
get the shots we wanted as they are more practical, especially for the high
angle shots.
3. When using Final Cut Pro X, I learnt a lot because I had never used any
editing software so at first I struggled on how to use the it but I developed
and learnt a lot. When I did my preliminary task at the start of the year I only
knew how to add the shots in and how to cut them down to add transitions
between shots. But when editing the opening I learnt how to blade some
shots to break it down, I learnt how to add effects like the recording and bad
quality effect to shots which we used to make it look like the group are
being watched. Also I learnt how to put in sound in the background which is
in our opening to give suspense to the opening.
4. When using blogger, I learnt how to embed videos and pictures which at first
was a struggle as I didn’t have a clue how to add pictures and videos. For
videos I found out that you have to post it onto YouTube first and then
embed the codes into the HTML part of the blog so the blog is linked to the
videos. On Survey Monkey we got a lot of results because of how we shared
our survey on social media so our age group which were are target audience
could give us there input through the survey.
5. There were some limitations because we wanted to add some shots but the
opening would be too long and also it wouldn’t look professional so we
decided they would be a bad idea because of how we didn’t know how to
film them properly.
