New Delhi: The Prime Minister,
Shri Narendra Modi, attended the
East Asia Summit in Kuala
Lumpur. In his intervention at the
Summit, he spoke of the global
challenge of terrorism.
“The barbaric terrorist strikes in
Paris, Ankara, Beirut, Mali and on
the Russian aircraft is a stark
reminder that its shadow stretches
across our societies and our
world, both in recruitment and
choice of targets. We must build
new global resolve and new
strategies for combating terrorism,
without balancing it against politi-
cal considerations. No country
should use or supports terrorism.
There is no distinction between
groups. There are no sanctuaries.
There are no funds. There is no
access to arms. But, we also have
to work within our societies and
with our youth. I welcome the com-
mitment to delink religion from ter-
rorism and the efforts to promote
human values that define every
faith,” the Prime Minister said.
“India and Bangladesh recently
settled their maritime boundary
using the mechanism of UNCLOS.
India hopes that all parties to the
disputes in the South China Sea
will abide by the Declaration on the
Conduct on South China Sea and
the guidelines on the implementa-
tion. Parties must also redouble
efforts for early adoption of a Code
of Conduct on the basis of consen-
sus,” the Prime Minister said.
Unveiling of Statue of Swami
Vivekananda
The Prime Minister unveiled a stat-
ue of Swami Vivekananda at
Ramakrishna Mission. Speaking
on the occasion, he said Swami
Vivekananda was not just an indi-
vidual, but the very soul of the mil-
lennia-old Indian culture. He said
that if we can imbibe the breadth of
Indian culture, from the Upanishad
to the Upagrah (satellite), we
would have installed Vivekananda
within us. He said that at a time
when the world was torn between
materialism and spirituality, Swami
Vivekananda had taken the mes-
sage of Indian spirituality to the
west.
He said that the ASEAN Summits
that he had attended over the last
two days, had an oft-repeated
theme of “One Asia.” He said that
this was an idea first propounded
by Swami Vivekananda.
Address to Indian Community
The Prime Minister addressed the
Malaysian-Indian Community. He
said “India is not confined to its ter-
ritory. India also exists in every
Indian in every part of the world.”
“Independent India owes a debt of
gratitude to Malaya-Indians. The
glory of India's freedom struggle
was written, in part, by the strug-
gles and sacrifices of Malaya-
Indians. Thousands of your forefa-
thers came forward to join Netaji
Subhas Chandra Bose and the
Indian National Army. Women
poured out in large numbers from
the comfort of their homes to
march shoulder to shoulder with
Netaji Subhash Bose,” the Prime
Minister said. The Prime Minister
paid homage to the Malay-Indians
“who had laid down their lives so
that a free India could rise.” “70
years ago a tragic and deadly
World War came to an end. I also
pay homage to the countless
Indian soldiers who lost their lives
in the battle fields of Malaysia.

Vaidehi Taman
After a long time, RSS
remembered their promise
to the voters about making
Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
Ashok Singhal has two
dreams and that were of
building the Ram Temple at
Ram Janmabhoomi and
spreading Vedic wisdom in
the world. In a condolence
meeting for VHP patron
Ashok Singhal, Sangh
Parivar pushed for con-
struction of Ram Temple in
Ayodhya. RSS chief
Mohan Bhagwat declared
that serious attempts
should be made to accom-
plish the Hindutva leader’s
dream in this regard. As
tributes were paid to
Singhal, Bhagwat recalled
Singhal’s last meeting with
him earlier this month and
said he wanted two things
to be accomplished. The
same should be accom-
plished by working sincere-
ly towards them. The RSS
supremo at the memorial
service said, Singhal is no
more but his thoughts are
with us and the task he
undertook (of building the
Ram temple) yielded some
results.
Bhagwat believes that if
you want to develop
Bharat, then Ram Temple
would also have to be set
up. Ashokji was never
communal or divisive and
sought to unify people.
Stepping up pressure for
the construction of Ram
Temple in Ayodhya,
Vishwa Hindu Parishad
emphasized that the ruling
BJP at the Centre cannot
afford to fail its electors on
the “core issue” and must
deliver on it. BJP’s mani-
festo, which mentions the
Ram Temple among its
core issues, the Hindu out-
fit said it was sure the party
would not like to face the
next election with the “fail-
ure tag”. Ram Temple was
BJP’s core issue. Recently,
BJP President Amit Shah
had also given a statement
that the party lacked the
majority needed to address
the matter and it stemmed
from the fact that the
leader himself described
Ram Temple as a core
issue.
The Hindu outfit’s
‘Kendriya Margdarshak
Mandal’, a body of top reli-
gious leaders, had
resolved at its recent meet-
ing in Hardwar that a dele-
gation of saints would be
formed to take up the mat-
ter with the government so
that impediments are
removed. VHP’s
Margdarshak Mandal is
again meeting in
Maharashtra later this
month and is likely to fur-
ther deliberate on the
issue. Interestingly, more
than two decades after the
demolition of the Babri
Mosque voters who once
dumped BJP on the failure
of building Ram Temple,
have moved on. The con-
struction of a Ram temple,
they believe, is no longer
an electoral issue.
The Ayodhya dispute is a
political, historical and
socio-religious debate in
India, centered on a plot of
land in the city of Ayodhya,
located in Faizabad dis-
trict, Uttar Pradesh. The
main issues revolve
around access to a site tra-
ditionally regarded among
Hindus to be the birthplace
of the Hindu deity Rama,
the history and location of
the Babri Mosque at the
site, and whether a previ-
ous Hindu temple was
demolished or modified to
create the mosque.
Ram Janmabhoomi, which
at one point was the BJP’s
key electoral floorboard
and part of its political
chronicle, did not find a
mention in a speech by the
Narendra Modi, nowadays.
Although, an artist’s depic-
tion of the temple formed
the backdrop to the stage
during Lok Sabha election
where Modi himself spoke
about “Ram Rajya”.
The provocative agenda—
a move to build a Ram
Temple in place of the
razed Babri Mosque in
Ayodhya—has been
pushed to the margins of
the BJP’s Lok Sabha man-
ifesto. BJP reiterates its
stand to explore all possi-
bilities within the frame-
work of the Constitution to
facilitate the construction
of the Ram Temple in
Ayodhya, was all that the
party said on the last page
of its list of promises in its
manifesto.
The Babri Mosque was
destroyed by hardline
Hindu activists during a
political rally which turned
into a riot on 6th of
December, 1992. A subse-
quent land title case was
lodged in the Allahabad
High Court, the verdict of
which was pronounced on
30th September, 2010. In
the landmark hearing, the
three judges of The
Allahabad High Court ruled
that the 2.77 acres (1.12
hectares) of Ayodhya land
be divided into 3 parts, with
1/3 going to the Ram Lalla
or Infant Rama represent-
ed by the Hindu Maha
Sabha for the construction
of the Ram temple, 1/3
going to the Islamic Sunni
Waqf Board and the
remaining 1/3 going to a
Hindu religious denomina-
tion Nirmohi Akhara. While
the three-judge bench was
not unanimous that the dis-
puted structure was con-
structed after demolition of
a temple, it did agree that a
temple or a temple struc-
ture predated the mosque
at the same site. The exca-
vations by the
Archaeological Survey of
India were heavily used as
evidence by the court that
the predating structure was
a massive Hindu religious
building.

Sheena Bora murder mystery has
become a never ending saga of Mumbai
crime story. One after another revelations
are changing the plot of the story with
time. Till date, focus was on Indrani
Mukerjea, media trials began but finally no
one could reach to any conclusion. Rahul
Mukerjea, son of accused Peter Mukerjea
in the Sheena Bora murder case, too
reached the CBI office and handed over
several documents belonging to Sheena
to the investigators against the accused in
the case. Those are the documents with
which Sheena was blackmailing Indrani
Mukerjea. According to investigators,
Sheena was blackmailing Indrani that if
she did not give her a 3 BHK flat in the
city, she would expose her by telling peo-
ple that she was Indrani’s daughter, and
not sister, as the latter had claimed.
Meanwhile, Peter’s interrogation ended
and to seek further remand, the CBI offi-
cials have called Rahul to reveal more
facts in the case against him.
Constant “blackmailing” of Indrani
Mukerjea by her daughter Sheena Bora
and relationship with Rahul Mukerjea
were among the reasons for her murder in
April 2012, according to a CBI official.
According to the officer, in 2004, Indrani
had gifted a seven BHK flat in Delhi to
Sheena. However, the flat wasn’t trans-
ferred in Sheena’s name and in 2010
Indrani and Peter sold the apartment for
Rs. 1.10 crore without her knowledge. In
2008, Sheena and Rahul got into relation-
ship, which was objected to by both
Indrani as well as Peter. Indrani and
Peter’s act of selling the flat had enraged
Sheena who subsequently started “black-
mailing” her mother. Indrani had reported-
ly told Peter and others known to her that
Sheena was her sister. Indrani Mukerjea
feared that the impending marriage
between Sheena Bora and Rahul
Mukerjea would reduce her favourite
daughter Vidhie’s share of the property
from former husband Sanjeev Khanna.
Indrani has a soft corner for Vidhie.
Moreover, after the engagement of Rahul
and Sheena, Indrani was afraid the entire
property might go to the couple, as Peter
was fond of his son Rahul. Rahul and
Sheena were engaged in October 2011.
On March 8, 2012, she sent an email to
Sheena via her son Mikhail Bora, to con-
firm that they have changed the will and
disinherited Sheena from their property
and assets as a sign of our disapproval of
her relationship with Rahul.
Fed up with Sheena’s constant blackmail-
ing, Indrani and Peter, in 2011, made a
will stating that if the couple dies, then
Vidhie, Indrani’s daughter with her former
husband Sanjeev Khanna, would be the
owner of their entire property.
Rahul’s Telecon nailed his Dad Bihar was literally in festive mood, Nitish changed all equa-
tions in politics by uniting all those leaders who are anti-
Modi and BJP. He proved that he can defeat Modi and his
leadership. All those made fun of Nitish during Lok Sabha
elections are now trying to be cozy with him. Nitish Kumar
is an able and efficient leader and hundred times better
that Modi. Oath taking ceremony was a grand celebration.
Anyway, some new faces came in Bihar cabinet with expe-
rienced Nitish. Young Tejaswi Pratap Yadav is Bihar’s new
Deputy Chief Minister. He took oath immediately after
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday afternoon at a grand
ceremony at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan. Tejaswi Prasad
Yadav won his first election on the day he turned 26, two
weeks ago. What a qualified political rookie he is, who has
only finished class 9.
Tejaswi is the son and political heir of Lalu Yadav, who
made a triumphant political comeback in this year’s Bihar
election with his Rashtriya Janata Dal or RJD winning 80 of
the state’s 243 seats, more than its partner Janata Dal
(United) of Nitish Kumar’s 71 seats. Tejaswi Yadav is per-
haps one of the youngest politicians in the country to lead
a legislature party. With his rise, a new era has begun in
the RJD with the leadership passing on to the next gener-
ation of Lalu Prasad, who worked strategically to return to
power with a convincing victory.
For the young Tejaswi, the road to winning Raghopur was
certainly not easy as he became a target for his rivals’
barbs on several occasions. His goof-up in filing election
affidavits – where his elder brother, Tej Pratap, became his
younger brother – or being a Class 9 dropout, Tejaswi was
targeted by anyone who had a bone to pick with his father.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also referred to the
goof-up and attacked the RJD chief for promoting his son
at the cost of others.

New Delhi: With the aim to expand the
expanse of promotive and preventive
health care, and reduce the burden of
Non Communicable Diseases (NCDs)
in the country, the Union Minister for
Health & Family Welfare, Shri J P
Nadda has urged the family medicine
practitioners to come up with solutions
for further improving preventive and
promotive health care in the country.
He was addressing the 2nd National
Conference on Family Medicine and
Primary Care being organized by the
Academy of Family Physicians of India.
Speaking at the National Conference,
Shri J P Nadda stated that the theme of
the conference “Health Care is Primary”
is quite relevant in the context of health
care needs of the present time. The
Health Minister noted that at a time
when the country is facing the twin bur-
den of diseases, NCDs account for over
60% mortality. He also stated that the
out of pocket expenses incurred by a
large section of population still remain
high. Tackling this burden of NCDs and
high out of pocket expenses requires
focus on preventive and promotive care
at primary level and secondary level,
the Health Minister stressed.
Shri Nadda highlighted the role played
by the National Health Mission, through
its systems approach and strengthen-
ing of rural infrastructure, in catering to
the healthcare needs of the people of
the country. Preventive and promotive
health constitutes a major component
of the Mission, he further added. The
Minister stated that reaching out to a
vast population in a country like India
requires arrangements of mid-level
care providers in the rural areas. My
Ministry is working in consultation with
IMA and MCI for provision of rural
health care providers like trained
AYUSH Doctors, Nurses, B.Sc. in
Community Health, etc., he said. He
added that the family medicine practi-
tioners can play a primary role in pre-
ventive and promotive health care and
especially in the rural and peri-urban
areas where a substantial portion of the
population resides.

India Tourism had conducted a seminar for travel agents in

Belgian police arrested 16 people in a wave
of anti-terrorism raids but key Paris attacks
suspect Salah Abdeslam slipped the net,
with Brussels set to remain under security
lockdown.
Schools and the metro will be shut as
Brussels stays at the highest possible alert
level over what Prime Minister Charles
Michel called a “serious and imminent”
threat of attacks similar to those that killed
130 people in France.
Police on Sunday carried out 19 raids in
Brussels and three in the industrial town of
Charleroi, detaining 16 people, prosecutors
said, while the driver of a car was injured
after police fired two shots when the vehicle
drove at officers.
“Salah Abdeslam was not caught during the
raids,” federal prosecutor spokesman Eric
Van Der Sypt told a press conference just
after midnight, meaning Europe’s most
wanted man remains at large.
Abdeslam’s elder brother Brahim blew him-
self up outside a Paris bar in the November
13 attacks.
No arms or weapons were found in the
raids, prosecutors added. The Belgian news
media reported Sunday that Abdeslam, a
resident of the Brussels borough of
Molenbeek whose brother was a suicide
bomber in Paris, had been seen in the east-
ern city of Liege but then vanished again.
Van der Sijpt declined to take questions on
that or other aspects of the Belgian investi-
gation into the links between the Paris
attacks and Belgium. He said several shots
were fired by the police in Molenbeek late
Sunday when, during a raid on a snack bar,
a car drove toward officers.
ArrestsinBrusselsraidsbutParissuspectSalahAbdeslamstillonrun Six people were killed when an explosion tore through a
house in the Myanmar town of Hakha, police said.
The blast struck late Sunday in the town which is the
capital of Chin, a mountainous western state that bor-
ders both Bangladesh and India and is one of
Myanmar’s poorest. “Six people died and seven are in
the Hakha hospital,” Than Kyaw Htay, an officer at the
town’s police station, told. He said the cause of the blast
was unknown but gunpowder or some sort of explosive
was suspected.
One of the eyewitnesses Ko Ko said, “When we got
there within a few minutes of the explosion, we saw
some body parts and the body of a dead child. The
explosion was strong enough to destroy the house com-
pletely as well as damage other buildings nearby”.
Myanmar’s border regions are beset by a multitude of
long-running ethnic insurgencies but Chin has been
largely free of such violence in recent years. Hakha itself
is built on a mountainside and suffered widespread dam-
age this summer from landslides caused by torrential
monsoon rains.

Up to 16 people were hospi-
talised on Sunday after a
shooting in a New Orleans
park where hundreds of peo-
ple had gathered for the mak-
ing of a music video, local
media reported, citing police.
The shooting occurred
around 7 pm local time (0100
GMT on Monday) in Bunny
Friend Park in the city’s
Upper Ninth Ward.
The Times-Picayune news-
paper quoted New Orleans
Police Superintendent
Michael Harrison as saying
he believed multiple people
had fired into the crowd of
more than 300.
“I can’t speak to the condi-
tion” of all the victims,
Harrison said, but “no one
has died at this time,” the
newspaper quoted him as
saying.
Three witnesses told the
Times-Picayune they saw a
man with a silver-colored
machine gun, and also heard
more gunshots coming from
within the crowd as he ran
away. Several people were
lying on the sidewalk after the
shooting, it said.
NOPD spokesman Tyler
Gamble told the New York
Times that police learned
from witnesses that “there
were two groups that were fir-
ing shots back and forth at
each other, and then ran off
after each other on foot.”
WVUE TV said police
believed the shooting
stemmed from a fight.

Pakistan Army Chief Gen
Raheel Sharif did not dis-
cuss with the US leadership
the dossiers about alleged
Indian interference in his
country during his recent
visit to Washington, a media
report said.
“It is an issue that is tackled
by the embassy at appropri-

raised in the meetings (with
US leaders),” army
spokesman Lt Gen Asim
Saleem Bajwa said.
Pakistan last month pre-
sented three dossiers to
India, which according to
previous official statements,
contained proofs about
alleged Indian involvement
in Balochistan, Federally
Administered Tribal Areas
(FATA) and Karachi.
Later, they were shared with
the UN and US officials.
Bajwa, who was part of a
delegation led by Gen
Sharif who visited the US
last week, said that Kashmir
was discussed in the meet-
ings because it is key dis-
pute that needed to be
resolved for bringing peace
and stability to the region.
Gen Sharif visited the US
on his own as there was no
official invitation either from
his American counterpart or
the Pentagon. During his
visit, Gen Sharif met US
Vice President Joe Biden,
Secretary of State John
Kerry, Secretary of Defence
Ashton Carter and other
senior officials. Bajwa said
the army chief’s meetings
focused on Pak-US rela-
tions, military to military
ties, regional security and
on the situation in
Afghanistan.

Bangalore: Demanding
stipend for the disabled stu-
dents .
The Endosulfan sufferers
arrived in Bengaluru early
with Sridhar Gowda of Endo
Virodhi Horata Samiti told
media persons that they are
forced to stage a protest
demanding justice from the
Government as the previous
Dharnas drew no response
from the district administra-
tion .Inclusion of those suffer-
ing from impotency and can-
cer among others in the list of
Endosulfan victims, adequate
compensation, quick dis-
bursement of monthly
stipend, free health care and
drugs for psychiatric patients
is our demands as there is no
proper medicines available in
the pharmacy he said.
No stipend for victims
since 6 months :
Sridhar Gowda a supporter of
Endosulfan said in over 2
years, the problems faced by
the Endosulfan victims has
never been highlighted and
discussed in the session.
There are 20 MLAs from
Karawali region, but none of
them ever bothered to dis-
cuss the issue. Not even a
single pie has been allotted
for the Endosulfan victims in
the budget session. When we
ask the MLAs they direct us
to the district commissioner
saying that he is liable to
answer us. As per the high
courts order, Rs.3000 and
Rs.1500 has to be provided
as monthly stipend but since
6 months even that is not
being provided. They had
promised us mobile treat-
ment units, nurses a perma-
nent rehabilitation centre and
free treatment but nothing is
being provided. We request
them to fulfil our demands.
Health Minister U T Khader
who rushed to spot and met
the Endosulfan students and
said, The chief minister has
always given special impor-
tance to the Endosulfan
affected victims. He has
released several funds and
has introduced schemes
which were not introduced by
any other Government in the
post. Around 192 people
have not received the funds
due to confusion with their
bank accounts.i will talk to the
district commissioner and the
district-in-charge minister
and solve the problem at the
earliest.

Bangalore: In a joint operation by Tilaknagar
police and Bengaluru Crime Branch sleuths
arrested a man suspected to be an aide of
underworld don- Chotta Shakeel.
The accused has been identified as Syed
Niyamath alias Rehman was a goon and has
as many as 8 cases lodged against him.
Niyamath is a resident of Bismillahnagar.
There was allegation that Niyamath had paid
money to another rowdy , Brigade Azam to
murder a politician in Karnataka.
A special team was formed to nab the suspect
aide.
They have claimed that he was plotting the
murders of prominent Sangh Parivar leaders
in Karnataka.
Syed's Master Plan Averted by Cops:
Joint Commissioner M Chandrashekar said
based on information about his whereabouts
the Tilaknagar police have nabbed him. The
information on his contacts with chota Shakeel
has been confirmed their planning and mobi-
lization was on for a long time. But the police
have nabbed him at the right time and foiled
his plan. The police claimed that Niyamat was
planning to carry out his plans next week and
that he had been in contact with Shakeel.
DCP Crime Ramesh R said, preliminary
inquiry has begun and he is currently under
police custody. In the days to come we will find
out more about his plans and for how long he
has been in contact with chota Shakeel .
Niyamat has at least eight cases against him
in various police stations in Bengaluru, includ-
ing Tilaknagar, Shivajinagar and Frazer Town.
Niyamat’s arrest has added to the atmosphere
of simmering tension that has prevailed in the
state since the murder of Kannada writer MM
Kalburgi in Dharwad district on August 30. In
several instances across the state, violence of
varying intensities has been carried out by
various fundamentalist groups.
The latest suspected incident of communal
violence occurred in the Mangaluru jail, where
Chhota Shakeel’s associate Madoor Yousuf
was murdered on November 2. This murder
itself comes on the heels of the murder of
Bajrang Dal activist Prashant Poojary,
allegedly by activists of the Popular Front of
India. These murders have been dotted by
other incidents of violence, such as targeted
attacks on young men and women associating
with people belonging to different communi-
ties. A case has been registered in Tilaknagar
police station and further investigation is on
and Bengaluru police commissioner N S
Megharikh, Addl CP, West Pratap Reddy, has
appreciated joint CP Crime, M
Chandrashekar, DCP Crime Ramesh R, DCP
Crime-2, Jitendranath and his whole team for
nabbing the close aide of underworld Don
chota Shakeel and with this all his plans got
foiled he added .

against the erring authori-
ties or the persons
engaged for conducting
