2. Over view
We are developing a Jewelry app
to help anyone creative, so they can set their imaginations wild
by allowing them to create any piece of jewelry they desire.
In our app you will input a keyword or picture that you want your
piece of jewelry to be themed around. Then our app will come
up with suggested jewelry ideas that you could make at home.
We provide the instructions and if you love our jewelry idea so
much you can buy the exact beads that we used!
3. Who: Mainly teenage girls but also can be anyone.
What: The app shows different ideas of how to make your own
jewelry and you can order beads from there as well.
When: All year round.
Where: Europe
Why: It is cheaper to make your own jewelry.
4. How will our app
benefit people?
Our app will benefit people who enjoy
making their own jewelry to a high
standard with high quality beads. Also
people who enjoy wearing personalized
jewelry
and giving personalized gifts to others.
Even if someone is on a tight budget they
still will be able to make a beautiful piece of
jewelry.
5. Originally our idea for the app was to get people to design their
own jewelry and we would make it for them. However, we found
that this would be very difficult to make all of the jewelry for the
people and then send it to them. So we decided that we would
give them ideas on how to make it, and they would make it
themselves.
6. Question?
Do you want to make your loved one a
memorable gift they'll never forget?
Do you want to make the best quality piece of
jewelry personally personalized by you?
Do you want the product to go with the season
you’re in? (e.g. christmas, valentine, halloween
etc.)
7. Jewelry app Uses:
- It is much more cheaper than buying jewelry.
- You are able to make jewelry that is exactly what you
want.
- You can make things that can go with your outfits.
- You can choose the colours that you like if shops
don’t have the ones you like.
- You can choose which type of beads you want.
- Shows you easier ways to make your jewelry.
- Gives you ideas of designs for jewelry.
8. Competitors or alternative solutions
that already exist in the market
This website is called H.Samuel and this app
is different to ours because it allows you to
search for a ready made product/jewellery and
buy it.
Whereas our app allows you to create your
own personal jewelry and you will get sent the
beads and other equipment so you can make
it at home.
This app is different to our app because it
shows you a variety of jewelry that you can
make at home but you must buy the beads
from other places which will probably be more
expensive. However if you buy the beads
through our app you don’t have to go out and
find beads that might not be the exact ones
you want.
9. Flow chart
This flowchart shows how
you would navigate way
through our app.
Then you can use the instructions provided and make it at home!
10. This is how we will imagine our
app will look like on a phone.

11. Our survey:
We asked some people some questions for our app and
these are the answers they gave us in a graph. The
graph shows how many people chose the 3 options that
we gave people for the questions.
12. Problems with our app:
- It might be quite difficult to find the exact beads
that people want.
- There might not be designs that everyone likes so
they wouldn’t have many ideas for making the
jewelry.
- We would have to buy a lot of beads so everyone
has something that they would like.
- it would be very expensive to make the app.
13. Business Case & Customer pledges
Our app would contain advertising related to our
jewelry making app, it may also be free to purchase,
however if you would like an advanced version
where you get bigger variety of options then it’ll
have to be purchased.
We will do this by contacting the advertisers.
14. Marketing Strategy
We are going to target our audiences by sharing
out flyers, posters and leaflets about our app.
We are also going to have a hashtag on
instagram where people can show the world
their creations.
15. App Design Mock-up
Ways to advertise our app:
- Posters
-Billboards
-Social Media
-Leaflets
-Flyers
16. EBI & WWW
WWW: Our balsamiq was really good and well laid
out.
EBI: We need to sort out a way
around our copyright situation.
Use your key insights statements from your findings during Scoping to provide evidence that your app is solving a genuine problem in a different way for users.
Examples:
Buzzer Buddiez: you wake up to hit snooze/ switch off the alarm, but don’t get up. Friends and family i.e. social pressure can help to push you to actually get out of bed.
Transit: parent- teacher conferences are not open-ended conversations. You can map the key areas of negative feedback around attendance, behaviour, results etc. to bridge the conversation between parents and teachers.
Oyster on the Go: Oyster travel data can already be accessed online, the key trick is to make it easily accessible on the go.
Cattle Manager: You can keep a simple record of your actions on your phone
Summarise what you have learnt about data, content and technical feasibility.
This is crucial, if your product relies heavily on any of these areas. If your product does not rely on them heavily, please explain why. This will show that your team has really understood feasibility well.
