Basic Chiropractic Advertising Strategy Essay
Basic Chiropractic Advertising Strategy
Every growing practice needs a steady stream of leads and new patients that not only generate
revenue, but help advance your practice through word of mouth. It is essential to clearly define your
practice on all advertising materials and during consultations to help build your brand and lend
credibility to your practice.
Many chiropractors make the mistake of trying to be everything to everyone. Doing so can lead to
confusion between you and your clients and less effective treatment programs. You will find that
focusing your practice on a few specific treatments will lead to higher response rates in advertising,
more streamlined office operations, a better sense of the demographics in your area, and ... Show more

By trying to appeal to everyone all at once, you lose the ability to grab someone s attention and
conquer their anxiety and concerns about chiropractic. Maximize the potential of each advertisement
by eliminating the unnecessary information and appealing as strongly as possible to your target
audience.
Over time, you can create a newspaper insert campaign for each type of symptom and slowly build
your client list the right way. In doing so your response rates will increase and you will soon know
exactly which treatments are the most lucrative in your area. This is key for future success and can
quickly put you in at an advantage over your competitors.
Do some research on chiropractic advertising to gather ideas and topics for your own marketing
materials. You can even use a competitor s flyers or promotions to help you learn about your area.
What are they marketing? What is their target audience?
A great way to start your chiropractic advertising is to design, print, and deliver full color flyers
through the newspaper. For as little as $0.10 per home you can create and distribute full color glossy
flyers. There are even companies that offer free chiropractic flyer samples when you register a free

Jack Nicholson Characteristics
Movies have played a large role in American society for a over a century. It is almost an obsession
compared to some parts of the world and because of this there have been many larger than life
individuals come about in the movie industry. In today s Hollywood, international ticket sales have a
massive influence on the movies that get made and how they are marketed (internationalstudentguide)
People become so iconic by their superb acting skills even if the movie itself is not so superb. Jack
Nicholson is a true example of an iconic actor. The skills he possesses and demonstrates on the screen
are beyond doubt some of the best his time. What has made Jack Nicholson so iconic is taking on so
many challenging roles that other actors will shy away from. Nicholson is brilliant with his roles of
men that are angry, crazy, or the antagonist. Many still go to see a film just because he is in it, even
being the antagonist because he is so widely praised for his skills on the screen.
When considering Jack Nicholson, one of the first things to think about is his use of anger in many of
his movies. Not only just anger, but the intensity he brings with his anger is what makes you believe it.
Anger takes over him, every inch of Nicholson is full of rage, you can see it in his eyes, hear it in his
voice, and see it with his body. Jack can be show anger in different ways, for example, in One Flew
Over The Cuckoo s Nest Jack plays a criminal who pleads insanity and ends up in an institution

Powerball Lottery Research Paper
The chances of winning the Powerball lottery is one in 175 million. You would have a greater chance
to be struck by lightning, which is one in three thousand or being killed by a shark, one in 3.7 million.
You would literally have greater luck dying from a comet and being killed by a shark at the same time
than finding those six lucky numbers.....[good pause] Regardless, thousands of people buy a lottery
ticket in the hopes of winning million. My family was similar to these individuals, hoping to somehow
defy the seemingly absolute laws of mathematics and statistics. However, instead of the lottery, we
tried to find success as immigrants in the land of opportunity. We suffered a culture shock moving
from the cosmopolitan city of Hong Kong to the rural outskirts of Indianapolis. The towering and
majestic skyscrapers were squashed into two story homes surrounded by a sea of wheat. Despite our
ambitions, we had few skills to aid us in our pursuit of success. The money that we had borrowed
from relatives manifested in an unsuccessful restaurant, occupied with the hopes of success rather than
tangible customers. I suffered linguistic shortcomings, failing to articulate the words of English that
my classmate so eloquently and effortlessly weaved. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Importance Of Historical Fiction
Historical Fiction has been around since the beginning of history. Historical Fiction is always
changing and adapting to the new history around us. Since time changes so fast and so much, it is
important to learn about the past. When learning about the past it is less likely that one would repeat
some of the same horrific actions that happened in the past. Historical Fiction is important because it
is the background information to people s knowledge, it is important for the world to learn and know,
and it should be taught in schools to widen children s education levels. Without out all of these things
many people would not even bother with historical fiction. Since history is always changing it is very
to tell a story about fictional events. Historical fiction is just like that. Historical Fiction is a story told
about an event perhaps fictional or real, and about people also fiction or real. ( Phillpott, A History of
Historical Fiction). Historical fiction takes a piece of history and adds fiction story that people can
relate to. For many people when they read historical fiction it opens up an unknown about history.
When a new historical fiction book is read people can learn more about a historical event that they
might not have known about before. Reading historical fiction can give them a new background
knowledge. This then makes people want to learn more about history and read more historical fiction.
Historical fiction is very important because it can bring

Yume Essay
In the film Yume (or with the English translation) Dreams , Director Akira Kurosawa, plays with
morality and the preservation of natural life. Yume presents the viewer with vignettes that focus on the
consequences of human behavior, like in the short: The Peach Orchard. In this vignette, a boy is
questioned in front of a spiritual council that represented the chopped down peach orchard. The spirits
were angry with how mortals treat nature, but the boy repented for his family s actions. In return the
spirits led him in a facade, letting him see the traditional dance of the falling peach blossom petals.
The boy was amazed, but it was soon cut short when the dance was over, for the visage he was seeing
ended and he was back in the orchard with all the chopped down trees. The point of this short was to
display that people often destroy nature and dirty the earth and give it nothing in return. There is
consequences to every action, and there is more to the earth than what appears. The terrible treatment
of the nature was also mentioned in a few other vignettes like Mount Fuji In Red and ... Show more

river, workers work in their respected areas and the town lives technology free. However, the vignette
is based in modern time, so it is a stark change from the previous vignettes in the film. This vignette
follows a traveler that wanders into the village. He sits while a nameless old man crafts another water
wheel by hand and talks to the traveler. The traveler talks about how the town deals with the
celebration of life and how the villagers way of living is better than city life. How the villagers
transition the deceased, is quite extravagant, the villagers wear vivid colors, dance a very cheery

Newton s Three Laws of Motion
Newton s 3 Laws of Motion
One of the most influential and top contributors to the world of physics to me is Sir Isaac Newton.
Father of modern science, Sir Isaac Newton was born on January 4th, 1643 in Woolsthorpe by
Colsterworth, United Kingdom and died on March 31st 1727, Kensington, London, United Kingdom.
He was an English physicist and mathematician who formulated three laws of motion that help explain
some of the very important principles of physics. Some of Newton s laws could only be proved under
certain conditions; but actual observation and trial experiments assured the validity of his work.
According to Isaac Newton s laws he tells us how objects move by describing the relationship
between force and motion.
The First Law of Isaac Newton s laws of motion states that an object at rest will stay at rest until acted
on by larger force. When the object is at rest it is called inertia. Objects in motion will stay in motion
until stopped by a larger force. What this simply means is that an object will not move if an
unbalanced force does not affect it. It also states that if the object begins to move, that the object will
continue to move in the same direction until a larger force stops the object. Example if you were to put
a dodge ball on a computer chair (roll able chair) and were to roll the chair the dodge ball and the
chair would be moving in the same direction. If you were to stop the chair, the dodge ball would fling

made more acute as China s Internet penetration rate is among the fastest growing in the world, while
its information enterprises are still inexperienced relative to Western industry experts.

It illustrates the speed and variability at which these cybersecurity developments shape up. For
example, it is not difficult to imagine that under less turbulent circumstances, advocates for
democratic values in China would have gained a stronger foothold in the realm of cybersecurity
policy. Russia also faces complex questions despite the apparent clarity of its Information Security
policy. The history of cybercrime in Russia provides an interesting illustration of one of these
complications. The 1990s marked a legal and economic collapse in Russia, leading to high
unemployment even among the tech savvy, ambitious students of the Soviet education tradition.
During this time, there arose a national trend of citizens becoming more engaged in criminal structures
just to make a living. Cybercrime, both with domestic and international targets, became one of these
outlets (Glenney 147). This further illustrates the differences in circumstances between Western and
Eastern cyberspace, and leads one to question whether the stronger role of state intervention in Russia
is justified or not. For both China and Russia, the basic idea that Information Security is an instrument
of state power has not yet led to an adequate understanding of how to best utilize it; what interests it
could protect and advance; how to deter its use by others; and the rules to which states should

Advantages Of Zoos
Animals are everywhere. Even if you don t notice them, they are there. Animals are very popular and
one of the reasons why they are beloved is because of zoos. Zoos are great places for animals to live
and a great place for people to learn. Zoos allow kids and adults to explore the little world of creatures
that live a similar life. Zoos are a lot safer place for the animals to live than the woods or the public.
People destroy animals habitats and wipe out their health. When people leave trash by animals
habitats the animals think that it is a special food delivery and try to eat your trash, now that can cause
health problems for the port little animals now do you want that, probably not. and neither do zoos so
that s one of the reasons why zoos are here in the present.
Zoos are very effective in some ways and they aren t in other ways, but zoos affect people and you
probably don t think it s going to make any difference if zoos just go away but to humans there will be
an effect. Zoos are one of the best places to learn ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Zoos give animals the opportunity to live a longer life than they probably would in the woods, the
public, or the forest where there is predators in every nook and cranny. Zoos also treat their animals

the animals can have their own space and doesn t have to share their home with other animals but that
doesn t mean zoos don t let the animals family members live or go in the same cage or domain as them
cause they do. Zoos also walk their animals around or let them go in a more open and fun space to
relax and to explore the new places they can go. Now also zoos give animals toys to play so there not

Steroid Aromatization
A little bit about steroids: aromatizing and not only
A little bit about steroids: aromatizing and not only.Prolonged use of steroids can lead to increased
levels of estradiol in the blood and as a consequence of it to aromatization. I note here that this
property have only the so called aromatizable steroids. Testosterone is considered to have the biggest
incline to this process, of course. The second place occupies such a steroid as methandrostenolone.
Boldenone and flyuksimetreon have more weak property of aromatization. There are steroids that can
be converted to estradiol without the process of aromatization, these include nandrolone,
norethandrolone and ethylestrenol. However, it makes no significant relief, and the level of estrogen ...

possible that the level of estrodiol in the blood of a men will rise even with a short term use of steroid

overdose. And the last thing I would like to discuss each person has an individual reaction to the
estrogens in the blood because we are all different as banal as it may sound, some people even have
immunity to the process of aromatization, and some on the contrary may be particularly inclined to
this problem.Restoring the natural balance.Lets finish with the theory and go back to what we actually

anti estrogen is a drug created specifically for men, as if it was created to suppress the development of
the feminine in men. The situation is quite opposite, originally anti estrogens were created for women
who had problems with an excess of estrogen in their bodies. For example, particularly large

Advantages And Advantages Of Bioenergy And Solar Energy
Nowadays, global warming is causing terrible damages from climate change such as powerful
typhoons, hurricanes, tsunami, super flood to human lives. It has become a big issue since the changes
have happened more frequently. Therefore, many scientists are struggling with finding some
alternative sources of energy to fossil fuel which release a great amount of carbon dioxide that have
affected global warming. Governments also struggle with finding some possible solutions to deal with
climate change. They are encouraging and investing on researching new energy sources. Bioenergy
and solar energy have been highly used as alternative energies. This essay will explore the advantages
and disadvantages of bioenergy and solar energy. How governments encourage spreading renewable
energy in the specific countries will be described.
Bioenergy is a renewable energy which is obtained by combusting the biomass. It is also called
biomass energy . Biomass is one of alternative sources, which consists of different materials such as
trees, construction wood, sewage sludge, manure, and farm waste including cornhusks, peanut shells,
leaves and so on (Ischenko et al, 2007). Ischenko et al (2007) claim that biomass releases less carbon
dioxide than fossil fuel. In the other words, it helps to slow down the pace of global warming. Another
advantage of it is turning the great amount of waste such as potato peels, used cooking oil, pig
intestines into useful energy. So it can reduce the costs of

HIV is a member of the Retroviridae (retrovirus) family, its genus: Lentivirus. HIV is an icosahedral,

HIV contains a single stranded, linear, positive sense RNA genome. There are two recognized strains:
HIV 1 and HIV 2. Retroviral RNA is converted to DNA by a virally encoded reverse transcriptase
enzyme, the DNA transcript is integrated into the host s chromosomal DNA upon entry of the host
cell. Human immunodeficiency virus also known as HIV can infect many cell types such as

Anal intercourse in homosexual males as well as intercourse between couples composed of a male and
female, are the most common ways to contract the HIV virus. Babies are commonly infected invitro,

but there is still no cure.
Many people in the medical field believe that only 54% those infected, are aware that they are
infected, that leaves 46% in the dark. It is estimated that 1.6 million people died as a result of this
virus in 2012. The scariest part about HIV and how it is spread is the knowledge that not everyone has
been tested yet. HIV can only be diagnosed with certain tests. These experiments in particular,
determine whether an individuals immune system has produced an
HIV specific immune response. The Indirect binding assay and antibody capture assay, as well as the
double antigen sandwich, ELISA, immunofluorescence, Western blotting, line immune assays, PCR
and viral isolation tests all can determine the presence of HIV.
Fatigue is the number one symptom of HIV. The symptoms of acute infection are commonly flu like
such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, headache, infections, pneumonia, hepatosplenomegaly, weight
loss, and neurological symptoms. Attacking the immune system is the method that this virus uses to
kill. Attempting to hinder, block or just slow down this process is currently the only method of defense

Social And Economic Effects Of Bacon s Rebellion
Bacon s Rebellion and its aftermath transformed Virginia s social and economic order by speeding
along the adoption of slavery as a primary means of labor. Nathaniel Bacon rallied ex indentured
servants and poor frontiersman against the colonial government. These people were forced to take less
desirable land on the outskirts of the colony where [...] they lived under the constant threat of
potentially hostile Native Americans (Bacon s Rebellion NBC). Bacon, frustrated with the apathy of
the government to address Indian aggression, lead his band of followers and indiscriminately attacked
Native Americans. Royal Governor Sir William Berkely refused to sanction these attacks and declared

Indentured servants were a limited resource as they would eventually become free. The non slaves
became more intransigent and apt to resist the efforts of the ruling class s economic and political
subjugation upon them. Southern planters began to look toward the African slave trade as a reliable
source of controllable labor. The economic power of England was rising and helped to increase the
level of slave purchasing and selling. The influx of white indentured servants from England into
Virginia drastically decreased which only accelerated the adoption of slavery. African slaves were a
more easily controlled and exploited labor pool. By the 1730s, the number of white indentured
servants had dwindled to insignificance (Nash, 60). When considering the legacy of Bacon s Rebellion
upon the transformation of Virginia, and beyond, this event in history demonstrated that poor whites
and poor blacks could be united in a cause. This was a great fear of the ruling class what would
prevent the poor from uniting to fight them? This fear hastened the transition to racial slavery

Shameless is a Golden Globe nominated show with a white dominated cast. One of the siblings on the

representations of Blacks on television, the 1980s can be seen as a decade of elevated inclusion both
in terms of the quantity and quality of roles which remains the norm today. (Tukachinsky, Mastro,
Yarchi, 2015). Over the years, we will see more shows gearing their audiences to the black
community. Producers add in a few social issues to reel viewers in, but the fact remains the same that
a prime time heavy hitting shows, will most likely have less than 20% of their cast of African descent.
In consonance with researchers, blacks currently constitute between 14 17 percent of the prime time

other because it s less filling. This leads to a fight between these two very sexy twins ripping each

I don t think so. If you go to the bars a lot, then you know who the drinkers are because of their big

immigrant, Frederick John Miller, born November 24, 1824, brought his passion for beer to the United
States. Miller, who had been a renowned German brewer since 1849, arrived in the United States and
settled in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1855. In 1855, Miller purchased a small brewery called the Plank
Road Brewery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for $2,300. Through his determination and character,
Frederick Miller began building his own American dream barrel by barrel. He produced the finest
quality beer, made from locally grown hops and barley, and using a unique brewer s yeast that he hand
carried from Germany. (The yeast they use in our beers today is a descendant of that very yeast so
treasured by our founder!) Before his death in 1888, Frederick Miller became one of the early pioneers
of bottling beer. After his passing, Frederick Miller s immediate family members continued his legacy,
and guided the company with progressive, uncompromising character through two world wars and
prohibition. In 1903, Miller named its most popular beer, High Life, and the Champagne of Bottled

The lack of resources, social support, and challenges in attaining educational goals, increased the
vulnerability of the depressive symptoms/disorders that occur during adolescence, (Eshbaugh,

symptoms of depression during the prenatal period were also exhibited by the male partners. Prenatal
depressive symptoms in men have been associated with depression in their female partners, suggesting
the possibility of reciprocal influence (Field et al., 2006). Preliminary findings suggest that the
younger the father the more the significant the depressive symptoms found in the men. Factors that
contributed to depressive symptoms negative parent child relationships and abandonment issues. It
was reported that the samples of the young adult participants were reported to have an increased

the myth, Japanese imperial family is actually the descendant of gods, Izanami and Izanagi, who
create the islands of Japan. Since deities use supernatural power to bring Japanese islands into
existence and gods have reigned the area for such a long time, it is natural for Japanese to accept that
the Yamato rulers, the offsprings of gods with magical power, have undeniable reasons to reign over
Japan. The Man yoshu poems, on the other hand, are written to praise the supernatural power of
Yamato emperors and to express the collective reverence

In influencing others through my actions, scripture reminds me Do nothing out of selfish ambition or

Modern Heroine By Kate Chopin
Modern Heroine A heroine to me is often an average woman in an unexpected situation, which,
despite the odds being piled against her, she usually overcomes in the end. In today s culture, women
have overcome many difficulties to be able to work, teach, vote, have a voice in the government, and
even are CEOs. Some people believe that some of these achievements are because of examples that
come from literature that have led women to believe in, motivate, and stand up for themselves. In
literature the amount of the things that a woman protagonist can do has also changed. Back in the
1800s women characters, whether fictional or not, could not be portrayed as rebellious, working, or
even sexual beings. Of course there were some authors that did not follow these rules and they were
not being published. Others, instead, wrote their works in a way that would be accepted by society
rules, however, they were still making strong minded women protagonists. One of these very famous
authors is Kate Chopin. In every short story or novel her main character was a female. Not many
writers during the mid to late 19th century were bold enough to address subjects that Chopin took on.
Some of Chopin s work could not be published until years after her death because of the strong themes
that she knew would not be accepted in the world she lived in back then but she just wrote life as she
saw it. Chopins short stories are all very different but one thing they have in common is the

Lost Of A Romantic Comedy By Sofia Coppola
Lost in Translation
Lost in Translation, widely considered an independent film, but with overtones of a romantic comedy,
written and directed by Sofia Coppola, is an intimate portrayal of loneliness and human connection
told through two Americans called Bob and Charlotte who meet in Tokyo, Japan. Charlotte is having
an early 20s existential what do I do with my life crisis whereas Bob who is much older than charlotte,
is having a midlife crisis. Both characters are two people at opposite ends of something comparable;
she s just beginning her life with her husband whereas Bob is on the other end, having been married
for years. Its two characters who are dealing with similar inner conflicts, a seeming dissatisfaction

The title of the film potentially has two meanings with the two characters literally in a foreign country
their understanding and communication with the world around them are lost in translation creating a
world of isolation which allows themes of subtle comedy to arise throughout the film through the
focus of the language barrier. The title can also be interpreted as not being able to communicate with
others regardless of the language barrier.
The story centrally revolves around three characters; Bob and Charlotte who are our more
conventional characters who are presented as equals in the story and follow similar journeys of
discovery, their own internal conflicts. Bob arrives as a movie star in the twilight of his career in
Tokyo to appear on talk shows and to film a whisky commercial, Charlotte on the other hand has come
with her husband on business trip and lacks a real sense of purpose of her own. Both feel Isolated and
have complicated and somewhat troubled relationships. The third character is less conventional is ever
changing, is the world and the environment our characters find themselves in which Sophia Coppola
cleverly creates using Tokyo. This is mainly created through seeing the world through the point of
view of our other two characters, as Bob and

Every time you turn on the news or pick up a newspaper, there is something being reported about the

Homosexual Identity In The Film Harvey Milk
In the film, Harvey Milk strategy was to get people to come out from the closet, expose their seuxality

It is the first step to exposing their sexual identity, which could also be hard to tell others and to admit
to themselves as well. There are some people who are still confuse of the sexual identity, by others
exposing themselves, they would be able to try to gain an understanding what homosexual is about
and preference that they prefer. Giving those people who are confuse a glimpse of what homosexual is
trying to fulfill and accomplish. The strategy is somewhat helpful to those who wants to expose their
sexual identity, but it doesn t change the fact that heterosexual are more accepted than homosexual.
Coming out can be problematic depending on the environment, because not everybody is able to
accept homosexuality. Society still wants to follow traditional, heterosexual, and gender role norms.
Homosexual will face many criticism, discrimination and inequality, but they are somewhat similar to
minorities who are also facing similar situation as homosexual. In my opinion, if you are able to come

Life And Death By Woody Allen
Have you ever thought about what you will see after death? In Christianity, people believe in going to
heaven or hell after death. In Buddhism, people believe in transmigration, which allows our souls go
to another body without our memory. I do not believe in any religion, so I have no idea where we will
go after death. However, no matter where will we go, I bet most people will regret something in their
lives before they die. For example, we did not treasure the time with friends and family, try to finish
some unachievable task or pursue our dream. In Death Knocks , Woody Allen distributes a different
perspective on life and death, which makes me think deeply about life and death. The main character,
Nat, is living as an old dress manufacturer in Brooklyn. One day, Death comes to find him and tell
him Nat is dead. Nat does not believe that until he sees Death is almost break his neck climbing in the
bedroom window. Unlike Death in a movie or religion, Allen gives us a new perspective on Death s
outlook. Death might look exactly same as us and we can talk, argue or negotiate with the Death, such
as Nat requested Nat: Give me some time. Another day (Allen, P.1282). I have never thought about
what Death looks like since I am a teenager and Death seems so far away from us. But when I am
getting older, I will start to realize that Death is popping up in my life. Some strangers in my life
disappear. Although I do not want to admit it, everyone will dead and that is the cycle

Chartists and Chartism Essays
Chartists and Chartism
Chartism was the name of a variety of protest movements in England during the 1830s and 40s, which
aimed to bring about change in social and economic conditions through political reform. Its name
comes from the People s Charter, a six point petition presented to the House of Commons with the
hope of having it made law. The six point included annual parliaments, universal manhood suffrage,
abolition of the property qualification for members of the House of Commons, the secret ballot, equal
electoral districts, and salaries for members of Parliament.
This was the first independent working class movement in the world, that is, not simply sporadic
uprisings or agitation, and arose after the Reform Bill of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Convention then proclaimed a general strike, but many had no employer to strike against, and the
Convention broke up after riots in various parts of England and Wales, with many leaders arrested and
troops sent in by the government. A similar petition was presented in 1842, another bad time, with
even more signatures, and was again firmly rejected. Again there were strikes; again leaders were
jailed.
1848, the year Mary Barton was published, saw a final demonstration by the Chartists. This time they
had collected over 5,000,000 signatures and the presentation to the Parliament was attended with great
ceremony; an impressive parade carried the wagon loads of signatures to the House of Commons. This
was the year of revolution in Europe there had been revolts in Paris, Vienna (3), Venice, Berlin, Milan,
Rome, and Czechoslovakia and the British government was desperately afraid of large scale
demonstrations. Many troops were deployed in London and the petition failed again, which brought
about the virtual end of Chartism.
` The supporters of Chartism were from different working class groups, but all were victims of the
Industrial Revolution. One group consisted of the older handicrafts and domestic skills those who
worked on commission in their homes, at looms or knitting frames, under the so called putting out
system, where their materials were supplied by a factor or middleman who later came to collect the
finished work. The other main group was

Spiral of Silence Theory
Spiral of Silence Theory Elizabeth Noelle Neumann s spiral of silence is a theory that was developed
in 1974 and as the founder and the director of the Public Opinion Research Center in Allensbach in
Germany; she has found evidence of how the spread of public opinion is formed. The term spiral of
silence refers to the increasing pressure people feel to conceal their views they think they are the
minority. People will be unwilling to publicly express their opinion if they are in the minority and they
will also be more vocal if they believe they are a part of the majority. Thus, the more marginalized you
become, the less you speak and so you spiral into a fully marginalized position. Neumann s claim are
based on previous collaborative ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is used to reveal a series of factors that measures the likelihood that people will voice their opinions.
There are six factors and the first one is the most important: 1. Those who favor the majority position
are willing to express their voice more comfortably. Feeling in harmony with the spirit of the age
loosens the tongue. [Griffin, Em. Spiral of Silence. A First Look at Communciation Theory. 7th ed.
N.p.: McGraw Hill, n.d. N. pag. Print. 2. If perception of the present opinon does not match the
climate of the conversation, the willingness to speak will depend on how well the conversation
continues on. 3. People are more willing to speak if their views match their counterparts than to those
who disagree. 4. Low self esteem will cause a person to mute their opinion more often than others. 5.
Males, young adults, and people of the middle and upper classes tend to speak out more easily. 6.
Existing law encourages people to express their opinion when they feel outnumbered. The Supreme
Court s Roe v Wade is a good example. Now that we know the building blocks of the spiral of silence,
we can get to root of Noelle Neumann s model of her theory leading to her main point and the last
factor, fear of isolation. The fear of isolation is the centrifugal force that accelerates the spiral of
silence. Essentially, people fear becoming social isolates and thus take measures to avoid such a
consequence. Her assumption is drawn

Examples Of Supernatural In Jane Eyre
In Jane Eyre, the theme of the Supernatural is used quite often. It is a rather interesting theme when
reading; it grabs your attention and pulls you in. No one can resist a good supernatural theme,
examples of some rather famous novels and/or films are: Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter,
Divergent, etc. Shaking my hair from my eyes, I lifted my head and tried to look boldly round the dark
room: at this moment a light gleamed on the wall. Was it, I asked myself, a ray from the moon
penetrating some aperture in the blind? No; moonlight was still, and this stirred; while I gazed, it
glided up to the ceiling and quivered over my head. I can now conjecture readily that this streak of

and so are sympathies; and so are signs; and the three combined make one mystery to which humanity
has not yet found the key. I never laughed at presentiments in my life, because I have had strange ones
of my own. Sympathies, I believe, exist (for instance, between far distant, long absent, wholly
estranged relatives asserting, notwithstanding their alienation, the unity of the source to which each
traces his origin) whose workings baffle mortal comprehension. And signs, for aught we know, may be
but the sympathies of Nature with man. (Charlotte Bronte, Jane Eyre, Chapter 21, pg. 222)
Foreshadowing s an odd thing too, as is symbolism, also are little hints from the author about
supernatural tricks she ll use later to bring the protagonists back together when they re dozens of miles

of the only moments that Jane actually claims to the reader that she believes in some kind of

seemingly supernatural connections may have natural explanations that we just aren t aware

The Manhattan Project was and is still one of the most secretive projects ever created in United States
history. The purpose of the Manhattan Project was simple: to build; test; and unleash its power if

One thing that was not found inside these borders though was women, not even wives of the scientists.
No scientist was allowed to talk to anyone outside the camp about what they see, hear, taste, or even
smell. Everything they knew belonged to the army now. Everything they knew from here on was
highly confidential. There job was to create the atomic bomb and to do nothing else but that. They
were to refer to bomb as the gadget or devise for security reasons. The scientists were given 19
months to complete their mission. Most of them complained that it could not be done, that it was not
enough time.
Under the leadership of Oppenheimer the work and research began. After several days, their work got
them no where. They were faced with the problems such as weight, velocity, and detonation. To make
such a bomb they needed materials heaving enough to weight tip the biggest cranes in the world. Late
one night, while eating an orange and talking to another scientist, Seth Neddermeyer (a scientist)
thought of an idea called implosion. He got the idea from the orange he was eating. This was probably
the one idea that the atomic bomb is centered around. Without implosion, the atomic bomb could not
be created. When he squeezed the orange, juice squirted out or an outwards explosion. If you can
reverse this process, then the explosion goes in creating a even bigger force. This theory applies to

Accidental Inventions
Accidental discoveries are inventions that were discovered through no intention of discovery. From
the good to the bad these types of inventions have changed our lives forever. These types of things are
both things we use everyday, down to food people eat everyday.
Food is a necessity to live, but what will surprise you is that some of the food people today were all
accidental discoveries. Saccharin is an artificial sweetener people use to sweeten their food. This was
discovered in 1879 when Constantin Fahlberg was trying to find alternative use for coal tar and forgot
to wash his hands after work. The potato chip was invented by fed up chef George Crum who to teach
an annoy customer a lesson sliced the potatoes thin, fried them and put salt on them, which to his
surprise the customer liked. When Coca Cola was discovered by pharmacist John Pemberton, it was
meant to be a medication, however as things would work out it is now a common soft drink that will
work out for any party. In an attempt to make his own soda pop 11 year old Frank Epperson combined
powder and water stuck a stick in it and left it on the porch overnight and found it the next morning
still stuck to the stick. With a combination of a neighboring waffle stall and an ice cream shall the
cone was discovered. Will Kellogg accidently left bread dough out for several hours and discovered it

  • 2. Basic Chiropractic Advertising Strategy Essay Basic Chiropractic Advertising Strategy Every growing practice needs a steady stream of leads and new patients that not only generate revenue, but help advance your practice through word of mouth. It is essential to clearly define your practice on all advertising materials and during consultations to help build your brand and lend credibility to your practice. Many chiropractors make the mistake of trying to be everything to everyone. Doing so can lead to confusion between you and your clients and less effective treatment programs. You will find that focusing your practice on a few specific treatments will lead to higher response rates in advertising, more streamlined office operations, a better sense of the demographics in your area, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By trying to appeal to everyone all at once, you lose the ability to grab someone s attention and conquer their anxiety and concerns about chiropractic. Maximize the potential of each advertisement by eliminating the unnecessary information and appealing as strongly as possible to your target audience. Over time, you can create a newspaper insert campaign for each type of symptom and slowly build your client list the right way. In doing so your response rates will increase and you will soon know exactly which treatments are the most lucrative in your area. This is key for future success and can quickly put you in at an advantage over your competitors. Do some research on chiropractic advertising to gather ideas and topics for your own marketing materials. You can even use a competitor s flyers or promotions to help you learn about your area. What are they marketing? What is their target audience? A great way to start your chiropractic advertising is to design, print, and deliver full color flyers through the newspaper. For as little as $0.10 per home you can create and distribute full color glossy flyers. There are even companies that offer free chiropractic flyer samples when you register a free ... • 3. Jack Nicholson Characteristics Movies have played a large role in American society for a over a century. It is almost an obsession compared to some parts of the world and because of this there have been many larger than life individuals come about in the movie industry. In today s Hollywood, international ticket sales have a massive influence on the movies that get made and how they are marketed (internationalstudentguide) People become so iconic by their superb acting skills even if the movie itself is not so superb. Jack Nicholson is a true example of an iconic actor. The skills he possesses and demonstrates on the screen are beyond doubt some of the best his time. What has made Jack Nicholson so iconic is taking on so many challenging roles that other actors will shy away from. Nicholson is brilliant with his roles of men that are angry, crazy, or the antagonist. Many still go to see a film just because he is in it, even being the antagonist because he is so widely praised for his skills on the screen. When considering Jack Nicholson, one of the first things to think about is his use of anger in many of his movies. Not only just anger, but the intensity he brings with his anger is what makes you believe it. Anger takes over him, every inch of Nicholson is full of rage, you can see it in his eyes, hear it in his voice, and see it with his body. Jack can be show anger in different ways, for example, in One Flew Over The Cuckoo s Nest Jack plays a criminal who pleads insanity and ends up in an institution ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Powerball Lottery Research Paper The chances of winning the Powerball lottery is one in 175 million. You would have a greater chance to be struck by lightning, which is one in three thousand or being killed by a shark, one in 3.7 million. You would literally have greater luck dying from a comet and being killed by a shark at the same time than finding those six lucky numbers.....[good pause] Regardless, thousands of people buy a lottery ticket in the hopes of winning million. My family was similar to these individuals, hoping to somehow defy the seemingly absolute laws of mathematics and statistics. However, instead of the lottery, we tried to find success as immigrants in the land of opportunity. We suffered a culture shock moving from the cosmopolitan city of Hong Kong to the rural outskirts of Indianapolis. The towering and majestic skyscrapers were squashed into two story homes surrounded by a sea of wheat. Despite our ambitions, we had few skills to aid us in our pursuit of success. The money that we had borrowed from relatives manifested in an unsuccessful restaurant, occupied with the hopes of success rather than tangible customers. I suffered linguistic shortcomings, failing to articulate the words of English that my classmate so eloquently and effortlessly weaved. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 7. The Importance Of Historical Fiction Historical Fiction has been around since the beginning of history. Historical Fiction is always changing and adapting to the new history around us. Since time changes so fast and so much, it is important to learn about the past. When learning about the past it is less likely that one would repeat some of the same horrific actions that happened in the past. Historical Fiction is important because it is the background information to people s knowledge, it is important for the world to learn and know, and it should be taught in schools to widen children s education levels. Without out all of these things many people would not even bother with historical fiction. Since history is always changing it is very to tell a story about fictional events. Historical fiction is just like that. Historical Fiction is a story told about an event perhaps fictional or real, and about people also fiction or real. ( Phillpott, A History of Historical Fiction). Historical fiction takes a piece of history and adds fiction story that people can relate to. For many people when they read historical fiction it opens up an unknown about history. When a new historical fiction book is read people can learn more about a historical event that they might not have known about before. Reading historical fiction can give them a new background knowledge. This then makes people want to learn more about history and read more historical fiction. Historical fiction is very important because it can bring ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Yume Essay In the film Yume (or with the English translation) Dreams , Director Akira Kurosawa, plays with morality and the preservation of natural life. Yume presents the viewer with vignettes that focus on the consequences of human behavior, like in the short: The Peach Orchard. In this vignette, a boy is questioned in front of a spiritual council that represented the chopped down peach orchard. The spirits were angry with how mortals treat nature, but the boy repented for his family s actions. In return the spirits led him in a facade, letting him see the traditional dance of the falling peach blossom petals. The boy was amazed, but it was soon cut short when the dance was over, for the visage he was seeing ended and he was back in the orchard with all the chopped down trees. The point of this short was to display that people often destroy nature and dirty the earth and give it nothing in return. There is consequences to every action, and there is more to the earth than what appears. The terrible treatment of the nature was also mentioned in a few other vignettes like Mount Fuji In Red and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the Village Of Water Mills , the small town is based on a river, hand crafted watermills spin and the river, workers work in their respected areas and the town lives technology free. However, the vignette is based in modern time, so it is a stark change from the previous vignettes in the film. This vignette follows a traveler that wanders into the village. He sits while a nameless old man crafts another water wheel by hand and talks to the traveler. The traveler talks about how the town deals with the celebration of life and how the villagers way of living is better than city life. How the villagers transition the deceased, is quite extravagant, the villagers wear vivid colors, dance a very cheery celebration of death, and play instruments while carrying the casket to the ... • 9. Newton s Three Laws of Motion Newton s 3 Laws of Motion One of the most influential and top contributors to the world of physics to me is Sir Isaac Newton. Father of modern science, Sir Isaac Newton was born on January 4th, 1643 in Woolsthorpe by Colsterworth, United Kingdom and died on March 31st 1727, Kensington, London, United Kingdom. He was an English physicist and mathematician who formulated three laws of motion that help explain some of the very important principles of physics. Some of Newton s laws could only be proved under certain conditions; but actual observation and trial experiments assured the validity of his work. According to Isaac Newton s laws he tells us how objects move by describing the relationship between force and motion. The First Law of Isaac Newton s laws of motion states that an object at rest will stay at rest until acted on by larger force. When the object is at rest it is called inertia. Objects in motion will stay in motion until stopped by a larger force. What this simply means is that an object will not move if an unbalanced force does not affect it. It also states that if the object begins to move, that the object will continue to move in the same direction until a larger force stops the object. Example if you were to put a dodge ball on a computer chair (roll able chair) and were to roll the chair the dodge ball and the chair would be moving in the same direction. If you were to stop the chair, the dodge ball would fling ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Such problems are only made more acute as China s Internet penetration rate is among the fastest growing in the world, while its information enterprises are still inexperienced relative to Western industry experts. It illustrates the speed and variability at which these cybersecurity developments shape up. For example, it is not difficult to imagine that under less turbulent circumstances, advocates for democratic values in China would have gained a stronger foothold in the realm of cybersecurity policy. Russia also faces complex questions despite the apparent clarity of its Information Security policy. The history of cybercrime in Russia provides an interesting illustration of one of these complications. The 1990s marked a legal and economic collapse in Russia, leading to high unemployment even among the tech savvy, ambitious students of the Soviet education tradition. During this time, there arose a national trend of citizens becoming more engaged in criminal structures just to make a living. Cybercrime, both with domestic and international targets, became one of these outlets (Glenney 147). This further illustrates the differences in circumstances between Western and Eastern cyberspace, and leads one to question whether the stronger role of state intervention in Russia is justified or not. For both China and Russia, the basic idea that Information Security is an instrument of state power has not yet led to an adequate understanding of how to best utilize it; what interests it could protect and advance; how to deter its use by others; and the rules to which states should ... It has become a big issue since the changes have happened more frequently. Therefore, many scientists are struggling with finding some alternative sources of energy to fossil fuel which release a great amount of carbon dioxide that have affected global warming. Governments also struggle with finding some possible solutions to deal with climate change. They are encouraging and investing on researching new energy sources. Bioenergy and solar energy have been highly used as alternative energies. This essay will explore the advantages and disadvantages of bioenergy and solar energy. How governments encourage spreading renewable energy in the specific countries will be described. Bioenergy is a renewable energy which is obtained by combusting the biomass. It is also called biomass energy . Biomass is one of alternative sources, which consists of different materials such as trees, construction wood, sewage sludge, manure, and farm waste including cornhusks, peanut shells, leaves and so on (Ischenko et al, 2007). Ischenko et al (2007) claim that biomass releases less carbon dioxide than fossil fuel. In the other words, it helps to slow down the pace of global warming. Modern Heroine By Kate Chopin Modern Heroine A heroine to me is often an average woman in an unexpected situation, which, despite the odds being piled against her, she usually overcomes in the end. In today s culture, women have overcome many difficulties to be able to work, teach, vote, have a voice in the government, and even are CEOs. Some people believe that some of these achievements are because of examples that come from literature that have led women to believe in, motivate, and stand up for themselves. In literature the amount of the things that a woman protagonist can do has also changed. Back in the 1800s women characters, whether fictional or not, could not be portrayed as rebellious, working, or even sexual beings. Of course there were some authors that did not follow these rules and they were not being published. Others, instead, wrote their works in a way that would be accepted by society rules, however, they were still making strong minded women protagonists. One of these very famous authors is Kate Chopin. In every short story or novel her main character was a female. Not many writers during the mid to late 19th century were bold enough to address subjects that Chopin took on. Some of Chopin s work could not be published until years after her death because of the strong themes that she knew would not be accepted in the world she lived in back then but she just wrote life as she saw it. • 31. Chartists and Chartism Essays Chartists and Chartism Chartism was the name of a variety of protest movements in England during the 1830s and 40s, which aimed to bring about change in social and economic conditions through political reform. Its name comes from the People s Charter, a six point petition presented to the House of Commons with the hope of having it made law. The six point included annual parliaments, universal manhood suffrage, abolition of the property qualification for members of the House of Commons, the secret ballot, equal electoral districts, and salaries for members of Parliament. This was the first independent working class movement in the world, that is, not simply sporadic uprisings or agitation, and arose after the Reform Bill of ... The Convention then proclaimed a general strike, but many had no employer to strike against, and the Convention broke up after riots in various parts of England and Wales, with many leaders arrested and troops sent in by the government. A similar petition was presented in 1842, another bad time, with even more signatures, and was again firmly rejected. Again there were strikes; again leaders were jailed. 1848, the year Mary Barton was published, saw a final demonstration by the Chartists. This time they had collected over 5,000,000 signatures and the presentation to the Parliament was attended with great ceremony; an impressive parade carried the wagon loads of signatures to the House of Commons. This was the year of revolution in Europe there had been revolts in Paris, Vienna (3), Venice, Berlin, Milan, Rome, and Czechoslovakia and the British government was desperately afraid of large scale demonstrations. Many troops were deployed in London and the petition failed again, which brought about the virtual end of Chartism. ` The supporters of Chartism were from different working class groups, but all were victims of the Industrial Revolution. One group consisted of the older handicrafts and domestic skills those who worked on commission in their homes, at looms or knitting frames, under the so called putting out system, where their materials were supplied by a factor or middleman who later came to collect the finished work. • 32. Spiral of Silence Theory Spiral of Silence Theory Elizabeth Noelle Neumann s spiral of silence is a theory that was developed in 1974 and as the founder and the director of the Public Opinion Research Center in Allensbach in Germany; she has found evidence of how the spread of public opinion is formed. The term spiral of silence refers to the increasing pressure people feel to conceal their views they think they are the minority. People will be unwilling to publicly express their opinion if they are in the minority and they will also be more vocal if they believe they are a part of the majority. Thus, the more marginalized you become, the less you speak and so you spiral into a fully marginalized position. Neumann s claim are based on previous collaborative ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is used to reveal a series of factors that measures the likelihood that people will voice their opinions. There are six factors and the first one is the most important: 1. Those who favor the majority position are willing to express their voice more comfortably. Feeling in harmony with the spirit of the age loosens the tongue. [Griffin, Em. Spiral of Silence. A First Look at Communciation Theory. 7th ed. N.p.: McGraw Hill, n.d. N. pag. Print. 2. If perception of the present opinon does not match the climate of the conversation, the willingness to speak will depend on how well the conversation continues on. 3. People are more willing to speak if their views match their counterparts than to those who disagree. 4. Low self esteem will cause a person to mute their opinion more often than others. 5. Males, young adults, and people of the middle and upper classes tend to speak out more easily. 6. Existing law encourages people to express their opinion when they feel outnumbered. The Supreme Court s Roe v Wade is a good example. Now that we know the building blocks of the spiral of silence, we can get to root of Noelle Neumann s model of her theory leading to her main point and the last factor, fear of isolation. The fear of isolation is the centrifugal force that accelerates the spiral of silence. Essentially, people fear becoming social isolates and thus take measures to avoid such a consequence. • 33. Examples Of Supernatural In Jane Eyre In Jane Eyre, the theme of the Supernatural is used quite often. It is a rather interesting theme when reading; it grabs your attention and pulls you in. No one can resist a good supernatural theme, examples of some rather famous novels and/or films are: Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Divergent, etc. Shaking my hair from my eyes, I lifted my head and tried to look boldly round the dark room: at this moment a light gleamed on the wall. Was it, I asked myself, a ray from the moon penetrating some aperture in the blind? No; moonlight was still, and this stirred; while I gazed, it glided up to the ceiling and quivered over my head. I can now conjecture readily that this streak of light was, in all likelihood, a gleam from a lantern, carried by someone across the ... I never laughed at presentiments in my life, because I have had strange ones of my own. Sympathies, I believe, exist (for instance, between far distant, long absent, wholly estranged relatives asserting, notwithstanding their alienation, the unity of the source to which each traces his origin) whose workings baffle mortal comprehension. And signs, for aught we know, may be but the sympathies of Nature with man. (Charlotte Bronte, Jane Eyre, Chapter 21, pg. 222) Foreshadowing s an odd thing too, as is symbolism, also are little hints from the author about supernatural tricks she ll use later to bring the protagonists back together when they re dozens of miles apart. Erm, what s that called? Yeah, a deux ex machina. This passage is noteworthy because it s one of the only moments that Jane actually claims to the reader that she believes in some kind of supernatural foreknowledge and, a psychic connection between people. Before you ask what is going to take place, I must say today is the day you re going to find a strange box. You might ask, Where? or How? or even Why are you telling me this nonsense? I must answer with, You decide where, when, and how you re going to find the precious boxed artifact. Will you find it in the attic or in the corner of the spacious basement? Will you dig it up in your backyard, underneath the scraggly, sunlit grass? I don t know. It s your fate. What can be inside this ancient, cracked box covered in layers of densely packed dust that obscured this box for centuries? You scrape away the dust to see the charred, maroon clad lid embroidered with golden thread. You lift it gently. Your action reveals an old piece of parchment. It reads: Dear reader. The purpose of the Manhattan Project was simple: to build; test; and unleash its power if necessary. Robert Oppenheimer and General Leslie Groves were the two men put in charge of this mission. These two men along with the top scientists from around the country were brought together to construct the most deadliest thing known to man. No scientist was allowed to talk to anyone outside the camp about what they see, hear, taste, or even smell. Everything they knew belonged to the army now. Everything they knew from here on was highly confidential. There job was to create the atomic bomb and to do nothing else but that. They were to refer to bomb as the gadget or devise for security reasons. The scientists were given 19 months to complete their mission. Most of them complained that it could not be done, that it was not enough time. Under the leadership of Oppenheimer the work and research began. After several days, their work got them no where. They were faced with the problems such as weight, velocity, and detonation. To make such a bomb they needed materials heaving enough to weight tip the biggest cranes in the world. Late one night, while eating an orange and talking to another scientist, Seth Neddermeyer (a scientist) thought of an idea called implosion. He got the idea from the orange he was eating. This was probably the one idea that the atomic bomb is centered around. Without implosion, the atomic bomb could not be created. When he squeezed the orange, juice squirted out or an outwards explosion. If you can reverse this process, then the explosion goes in creating a even bigger force.
