Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd (ZTBL) was established in 1961 through the merger of the Agricultural Development Bank of Pakistan and the Agricultural Development Finance Corporation to provide financial services primarily to the agricultural sector. ZTBL is owned by the government and has over 5,000 employees working across 32 zones, 9 audit zones, and 416 branches. In addition to providing loans, deposits, and other banking services, ZTBL also operates an agricultural training farm to educate farmers and an owned subsidiary called Kissan Support Services Limited to perform non-core business activities. 2. History
 Pakistan is a country which depends up to 66% on its agricultural
department.
 In 1951 there was a agriculture sector which couldn’t meet its basics.
 In 1961 Agricultural Development Bank of Pakistan established.
 Agricultural Development Finance corporation and ADB were similar
and both were working with the capital provided by govt. they were
merged into organization known as ADBP on Feb 18 1961.
 On 14 Dec 2002, has converted the ADBP into ZTBL.
 After this incorporation all the assets & the liabilities of ADBP
became the assets & liabilities of ZTBL.

 Agri. Technology Department decided to establish
a farm.
 ZTBL farm development work started in the year
1985.
 The basic objective of establishment of ZTBL
training farm is training of innovative viable
agricultural technologies to our trainee mobile
credit officers apart form the farmers, students
from agricultural universities and other visitors do

The ZTBL has one subsidiary which is known
as the “Kissan Support Services Limited”.
It was incorporated as owned subsidiary of the
ZTBL that function independently effective
from 1st January 2006.
The KSSL has an authorized capital of Rs.100
million. Its aim is to provide a support to the
management of the ZTBL.
