2. Prank video
research
• When it comes to prank videos, YouTube has its
fair share of creators who focus on this specific
genre of video. But there are several elements
that many new creators fail to think about when
starting their own channels, the biggest of which
is the equipment necessary for making a good
quality prank video.
• Cameras like the Sony CX625 Handycam are
perfect for this shooting style. A quick and easy
zoom function on a camera that fits into the palm
of your hand makes it ideal for your cameraman
to hide while you prank the unsuspecting public.
• Now comes the actual planning and production of
the prank video. The planning part is fairly simple;
once you’ve thought of what kind of prank video
you want to shoot, you need to find a location
that works and carry out the prank. Just make
sure that the location you’re shooting will allow
you to do so, and that you get consent from all
the participants — after they’ve fallen for your
tricks, of course. You can do this by having them
fill out simple location release forms or talent
release forms. Templates for both can be found
easily through a Google search.

4. Music platforms
• Mixtape madness is a music
channel that uploads UK rap,
drill and pop music videos.
They also do interviews and
News but their main focus is
music videos. Every
upcoming artist dreams of
having their song appear on
mixtape madness, with 700k
subscribers you would
understand why. Drill, rap
and music lovers are their
main target audience.
5. Reaction videos
• Dan and kaz are two friends fromthe US with a joint youtube
account. There video contents are reaction videos on music
videos fromall differenttype of genres, being UK drill, K-Pop,
Russian Rap, Hip-Hop and many moreto challenges included. I
only recently started watching their videos as I came across it
while watching other videos that are similarly linked to watch
they haveon their channel. I think the reason why I continued
watching their videos was becauseit was humorous to see
Americans try to decode our UK slang through the lyrics of our
artists which is very completely differentto there own slang
and becauseof my love for UK drill and rap. Also it shows that
the UK music scene is getting way morerecognition fromthe
US as they aren’t really exposed to our music as much as we
are as exposed to theres and it makes me happy to know that
its kicking off in a good way thatyoung American adults enjoy
our music justas much as we do.
