4.  YouTube was created by three former PayPal employees in
February of 2005. Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim
are the three original developers. Chad Hurley and Steve Chen
developed the idea for YouTube during the early months of
2005.
 After Hurley and Chen experienced great difficulty, while trying
to upload videos, that had been shot at a dinner party at Chen's
apartment in San Francisco, onto the internet amongst each
other. This experience lead to the three’s need to develop an
easier way to share videos.
 YouTube began as a venture-funded technology startup,
primarily from a US $11.5 million investment by Sequoia
Capital between November 2005 and April 2006

looking to be entertained.
 YouTube will also allow you to upload any video that you would like to put on there; it could
be a video of you messing around with your friends or maybe a video that has some special
meaning to you.
 YouTube is truly an amazing website and allows users with endless possibilities. The endless
videos that YouTube has to offer will keep anyone who is looking to be entertained for hours
and hours at a time.

 1 Access the YouTube home page (see the Resources section below).
 2 Click the 'Sign Up' link to begin the account creation process.
 3 Select the type of profile you'd like to create. YouTube offers different profiles depending on your area of
expertise. If you're not sure what to select, go with the 'Standard' option. Note that you can change to a 'Guru'
account later if you choose.
 4 Enter your email address.
 5 Select a username for the site.
 6 Type your chosen password in the 'Password' field and again in the 'Confirm Password' section.
 7 Select your country from the pull down menu.
 8 Type your US postal code, if applicable.
 9 Click your gender.
 10 Enter your date of birth.
 11 Type the text you see in the image into the 'Verification' box.
 12 Uncheck the 'Broadcast Yourself' email box if you do not wish to receive the YouTube newsletter.
 13 Check the 'I Agree' box to confirm your acceptance of YouTube's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
 14 Click 'Sign Up' to complete the process.
