To embed a YouTube video into a PowerPoint presentation, first find the desired video and copy its URL. Next, paste the URL into notepad and modify it by deleting "watch?" and "=" and adding a "/". Then go to Developer, More Controls, and insert a Shockwave Flash object. Finally, right click the object, select Properties, and paste the modified URL where it says movie.

Creative critical reflection

Deconstructing a scene from a film
The scene begins with two boats departing from the dock at night, with one boat carrying normal citizens and families who have been evacuated, while the other boat carries criminals in orange jumpsuits. Connor and James, both age 17 and 16, also provided feedback on the double page spread, saying they liked the pictures but thought a more exciting font could have been used for the text.
My Contents Page

From her preliminary task to her music magazine foundation portfolio, the student learned many new Photoshop skills. In her preliminary task, she only used basic skills and one original image with uniform text colors. However, for her music magazine she used varied colors, shapes like a yellow circle to announce an event, and multiple original images laid out professionally. She also included typical magazine elements like a barcode and price that were missing from her first attempt. Overall, her music magazine displayed more complex design, layout, and skill application compared to her initial preliminary task.

I am using one called Semiology and Media Language because this links in with what I have learnt in media and also some of my other PowerPoints such as ‘film language.’ Once you have found the YouTube video you would like to use, copy the link and then paste it into notepad like this -

Now you are going to go to ‘ developer’ and into ‘more controls’, then scroll down and click on ‘shockwave flash object’ which will then let you create your box like this -
