Entrepreneurship training course designed to
introduce young people to the basic ideas,
actions, and skills needed to launch, lead, and
grow a micro or small business
Course objectives:
 Learn about how to launch & sustain their businesses
 Develop better awareness of their capabilities & limitations
 Develop ideas for how they can keep learning & improving
their capabilities
 Current and aspiring micro and small-scale enterprise
owners
 Youth ages 16-35
 Strong secondary education w/ moderate literacy,
moderate numeracy
 Proficient computer knowledge
 Ability to read, write, and speak English, French, or Arabic
 Entrepreneurs in all industries
 Urban or rural contexts
14 blended-learning modules on DVD-ROM/Flash
3 parts to each module
 Self-guided computer aided activities ≈ 30 hours
 Facilitator-led face-to-face activities ≈ 40 hours
 Self-guided hands-on activities outside classroom

3 types of activities per module
 Interactive tasks for learners to perform
 Exercises to complete and save on the computer for later use
 Hands-on assignments to complete in local community
 Market Simulations
 Case Studies
 Interactive Exercises
Helps students in the learning process to:

 Check their own understanding
 Extend and adapt the ideas introduced in the modules
to their own cultural and business environment

 Engage others in their business start-up
 Coordinate and support BYB implementation as
part of a holistic entrepreneurship training

Entrepreneurship training course designed to introduce young people to the basic ideas, actions, and skills needed to launch, lead, and grow a micro or small business Course objectives:  Learn about how to launch & sustain their businesses  Develop better awareness of their capabilities & limitations  Develop ideas for how they can keep learning & improving their capabilities

  • 6.  Current and aspiring micro and small-scale enterprise owners  Youth ages 16-35  Strong secondary education w/ moderate literacy, moderate numeracy  Proficient computer knowledge  Ability to read, write, and speak English, French, or Arabic  Entrepreneurs in all industries  Urban or rural contexts
  • 7. 14 blended-learning modules on DVD-ROM/Flash 3 parts to each module  Self-guided computer aided activities ≈ 30 hours  Facilitator-led face-to-face activities ≈ 40 hours  Self-guided hands-on activities outside classroom 3 types of activities per module  Interactive tasks for learners to perform  Exercises to complete and save on the computer for later use  Hands-on assignments to complete in local community
