ENACT - ENergy Academy to Create renewable Transformation
Key achievements
• 141 youth were trained and certified as solar technicians, out of which 31% are female candidates.
• The students were a mix of employed people in the field of AC mechanic, electrician (kind of unskilled
labors) and final year students from ITI/diploma colleges.
• A comic book was developed for school children titled “ENERGY STORY” with quizzes and DIY
exercises to promote understanding of the concept of energy and RE
• Further to create more awareness among the youth on solar technology, awareness sessions were
conducted at schools and colleges in which 863 students participated.
• A mobile van was built with a solar fridge installed and a home lighting system with LED bulbs inside,
which was used for creating awareness in the rural areas during students mobilization for the training.
• Job placement sessions were facilitated to connect the students with the core companies

• Innovative Social Lab: gathering input from multiple stakeholders
• This multi-stakeholder approach involves social actors from the government,
civil society, academia and the private sector
• Objective: finding inclusive solutions to social challenges to create meaningful

The purpose of this guide is to help kids understand the Goals, how
they impact your own life and what you can do every day to help your
community and the world to achieve the Goals.
This guide shall present a colorful visual description of the Global Goals and specific
realities and steps in involvement for each of the Goals

The Guidebook - Exercises
Now that the child knows all the goals, it is evidently time to test what
he has learned. This is very important as this shall help retain and
embed the teachings the child had learned from the book.
The book exercises were designed to be simple but clear, perfect for Gen Z and
Alpha. Example Quiz is as such of that above.
The Board Game
To teach kids aged 7 to 14 years old how to properly respond to the most common natural disasters
in the Philippines through an informative and fun board game, promoting teamwork and the
importance of helping others in need.

  • 4. 4 Youth Empowerment ENACT - ENergy Academy to Create renewable Transformation Key achievements • 141 youth were trained and certified as solar technicians, out of which 31% are female candidates. • The students were a mix of employed people in the field of AC mechanic, electrician (kind of unskilled labors) and final year students from ITI/diploma colleges. • A comic book was developed for school children titled “ENERGY STORY” with quizzes and DIY exercises to promote understanding of the concept of energy and RE • Further to create more awareness among the youth on solar technology, awareness sessions were conducted at schools and colleges in which 863 students participated. • A mobile van was built with a solar fridge installed and a home lighting system with LED bulbs inside, which was used for creating awareness in the rural areas during students mobilization for the training. • Job placement sessions were facilitated to connect the students with the core companies

  • 8. 8 Sustainable Consumption 16 April 2016 | What is SoLVe? • Innovative Social Lab: gathering input from multiple stakeholders • This multi-stakeholder approach involves social actors from the government, civil society, academia and the private sector • Objective: finding inclusive solutions to social challenges to create meaningful impact Background Youth Engagement

Part 1 Ideation – Break out session – Groups of 4-5 people – 45 minutes to discuss the social challenge and to source innovative ideas while using ideation techniques Part 2 Solutions – Break out session – Groups of 4-5 people – 45 minutes to transform the two best ideas into well-defined inclusive solutions using the SMART framework 9 Sustainable Consumption 16 April 2016 | Event in a Nutshell Social Challenge: How can we encourage behavioural change in consumers to adopt sustainable consumption in their daily lives? When the social challenge is already defined, the next step is to: ideate & source SMART solutions

The Guidebook The purpose of this guide is to help kids understand the Goals, how they impact your own life and what you can do every day to help your community and the world to achieve the Goals. This guide shall present a colorful visual description of the Global Goals and specific realities and steps in involvement for each of the Goals Motivational Quote from famous people relevant to each goal Clear but simple explanation of each goal Small steps to guide the youth in being an active contributor in the development
  • 14. The Guidebook - Exercises Now that the child knows all the goals, it is evidently time to test what he has learned. This is very important as this shall help retain and embed the teachings the child had learned from the book. The book exercises were designed to be simple but clear, perfect for Gen Z and Alpha. The Board Game To teach kids aged 7 to 14 years old how to properly respond to the most common natural disasters in the Philippines through an informative and fun board game, promoting teamwork and the importance of helping others in need.
