Science of INNERWELL โ€“ BEING,
not Religion
Yoga is a practice which involves your body, mind and
soul. The origin of yoga is dated back to the Vedic age.
Today, some people also practice it as a religion. But the
fact is yoga is not a religion, it is a practice which is
adopted by many people to attain peace and maintain
bodily harmony. Yoga involves meditation and it has
been a part of the society since ages
WHAT IS YOGA?
What we think?
๏‚— Is yoga a system of physical exercise?
๏‚— Is it a religion?
๏‚— Is it belief in God?
๏‚— Is it about becoming a good or moral person?
These are the common questionsโ€ฆ
The answer to all of them is that it is none of the aboveโ€ฆ.
YOGA FACTSโ€ฆ
๏‚ข Standing on your head, or twisting your body in those all
sorts of postures, is not yoga.
๏‚ข Yes, there are yogic practices that involve the body. But
fundamentally, โ€˜yogaโ€™ means โ€˜unionโ€™.
๏‚ข It means, you have begun to experience the universality of
who you are.
๏‚ข Science proves beyond doubt that the whole of existence is
just one energy manifesting in various forms. If this scientific
fact becomes a living reality for you, if you begin to
experience everything as one, you are in yoga.
YOGA IS A SCIENCE
๏‚— Science has proved that the whole of the universe depends on one
energy and yoga means to get united. Practicing yoga brings all
your energy forms together and keeps you healthy. We have many
machines and tools to repair damaged things. In the same way,
yoga is used to repair and maintain your body and mind.
๏‚— Yoga is a process where in you modify yourself continuously. It is
a science that teaches us how to remove our physical and mental
problems and improve our attitude towards life. Thus, yoga is the
solution to retain your inner well being and anything which does
all this is beneficial for all human beings on the earth and canโ€™t be
bound be religion
YOGA ISNโ€™T A RELIGION
O Many people are of the view that yoga is a part of Hinduism.
It has also led to several controversies. The fact is that people
from this religion (the early ascetics) were the first to practice
it. It does not mean that yoga belongs to this religion.
Patanjali, the inventor of yoga, did not teach that yoga is
Hindu or Muslim.
O yoga is exercise that you help to understand your body as well
as your brain. You can compare yoga with machine.... for
example- machine on which a person is working do not ask
him about his religion, it just do its work. The same way yoga
works for every person without asking about its religion..
YOGA โ€“ A SOLUTION
โ€ข Does it entail a belief in god? No, it does not. Devotion can be a
powerful and effective stepping-stone to your ultimate
wellbeing. But devotion works only if you are a childlike
person. If yours is a questioning mind, donโ€™t waste your time on
devotion. If you happen to arrive at an overwhelming inner
experience where your logic falls apart, that is different. Then
devotion is natural and it can be explosive. But donโ€™t try to
practice devotion. It wonโ€™t work.
โ€ข The question is, are you looking for solace or for a solution? If
you want solace, belief in anything is fine; it will settle you
psychologically. If you want a solution, thatโ€™s different. Yoga is
a solution. No belief system is involved. Itโ€™s about simply doing
what works.
Beauty of Yoga
๏‚› Does yoga entail a value system? No. If you experience yourself
as one with everything, you donโ€™t need any values. That is the
beauty of yoga. It is an experiential system. If you experience
everyone as a part of you, I donโ€™t have to instruct you: โ€˜Be good
to all.โ€™ Once inclusion happens, nobody needs to teach you
morals. When you are in yoga, the need to be good has itself
disappeared!
๏‚› This is also the difference between morality and spirituality.
Spirituality is not about trying to fix or prescribe values or
morals. Prescribing doesnโ€™t work in the long run. Only that
which is free will live totally and inclusively. Only that which is
free will lasts.
SOLVE THE MYTH
๏ถ For the first time we have the kind of information technology that allows us
to reach out to the whole world; we are now connected like never before, at the
touch of a button. In this sense, we are more empowered than even Adiyogi,
Gautama Buddha or Patanjali! In such information-rich times, the entire planet
of 7.2 billion people can be inspired to turn to this profound science of inner
wellbeing, by creating awareness of what yoga really is. All those who have been
touched and benefited by yoga could make this happen.
THANK YOU!
