Yoga originated in India and is more than just a system of physical exercise. While many in the West view yoga as exercise, it is actually an ancient spiritual practice in Hinduism aimed at achieving union with God. Christianity differs in that it teaches a distinction between man and God, with man as a creation of God, rather than believing that man is God. Yoga views man's primary problem as ignorance of his true nature as God, while Christianity sees it as sin and failure to conform to God's standards.
