This document outlines the National Curriculum levels for an 'Aliens' project, ranging from levels 3 to 6. At higher levels, students are expected to do more independent research, experimentation, and application of technical skills to create an alien figure. They also analyze and interpret the work of artist Yinka Shonibare, and how his work illustrates ideas about race and class. The highest levels involve evaluating one's own work and developing critical understanding.

I collect useful images and materials (without being asked by my teacher) to develop my alien.
I apply my practical skills and technical knowledge to achieve my alien design in 3D.
I interpret and explain the work of Yinka Shonibare and apply my understanding to the work of others.
I evaluate my work and use my critical understanding to develop my own views and practical work.
