Writing Skills

Written communication skills are critical to being
successful in the nursing profession.

While oral communication skills are critical to nursing
professionals as they relate to the care they provide,
written skills are even more critically important as the
nursing must record vital information that other care
givers will need to rely upon as part of the health care
delivery team.
As a nursing student, you may need to prepare written
assignments and some of your tests may contain essay
questions. Thus, it is necessary for you to develop
clear, organized writing skills.
Writing Skills

 As a nursing professional, you may want to contribute your
thoughts and knowledge in scholarly articles or journals.
Writings of these types have specific formats and requirements,
so be sure to learn what is needed and develop your skills.
What you write can influence the perceptions about you and
reflect on the institutions and organizations with which you are
  associated.

It is key that you learn to write with clarity, apply language
effectively and enhance your writing ability to be an effective
   nurse.
