The research that we will be conducting on our broiler project has raised many questions. In this paper,
I will state some major questions that have arisen while looking over this project. I will hypothesis in
this paper what I believe will happen with these questions I have. We have several variables that will
factor into my hypothesis for this broiler project. For example, birds reared in bright light compared to
those reared in dim light. The stocking density and sex of the birds is the other two major variables that
will have an impact on this project.
I will begin with my hypothesis on how light will affect the growth of our birds. I believe that light will
not only affect the growth of our birds but also the feed conversion ratio of our birds. My hypothesis is
that the birds reared in bright light will not only grow better but also have a better feed conversion
ratio. The reasons that lead me to believe this will be the case is because I feel like the birds reared in
bright light will be more active and more prone to eat. I believe this increase in activity due to the
bright light will increase the birds size therefor contributing to a better feed conversion ratio.
The next variable I will draw a hypothesis on is the density that we stock these birds. I believe stocking
density plays a big role in the growth of birds in chicken houses My hypothesis is that the lightly
stocked pens will grow larger than the heavily stocked pens. I believe this will be the case because the
less competition a bird has the more that bird will be able to eat. The more birds there are in a pen the
more competition each bird will face when it comes to feeding. These birds will not be able to eat as
freely as the birds with less competitors.
Lastly, I will hypothesis on the role the sex of the bird plays into this. In most cases depending on the
animal the males are usually larger than the females. I believe this will hold true when it comes to our
broilers. I hypothesis that the male birds will grow not only larger than the females but I believe they

My original goals for this project were to create an engaging presentation, use concrete examples from
modern video games, use concrete examples from postmodern philosophers, and describe in detail why
moral subjectivism is important. I believe that I was successful in these goals. Firstly, I had many
examples of anti realism in both video games and other forms of media, and I was able to tie in each
example to its overaching anti realist theory. However, I think that I was able to successfully explain
the idea of anti realism, but I do not believe that I explained in a great enough amount of detail why

Charles Chesnutt s Writings for Social and Political Change Charles Chesnutt was a well known
African American author who was known for his short stories that conveyed racist African American
dialect and conveyed his wishes for equality and social and political change for African Americans.
The purpose of this paper is to delve into Chesnutt s short story The Goophered Grapevine to define
the way Chesnutt manipulated his audience and worked towards white sympathy for the black
community. Chesnutt knew that if he attempted his goal with his white audience s knowledge, they
would resist and he would therefore be unsuccessful. Therefore, Chesnutt needed to disguise the
motive of the story so he could affect his audience without their knowledge of his manipulation.
Chesnutt did so through the use of storytelling with three characters that served to show the three sides

Language Prejudice
Languages speak volumes. Languages themselves are more than just mere words. They represent the
diverse communities, histories, politics, and cultures of the peoples that speak them. When the use of
minority languages challenge the interests of the dominant community, the minority language and its
speakers begin to be viewed as dangerous. Those in the dominant culture threatened by changing
demographics will hold on to the old ways . Policies and practices resembling those of the Restrictive
Period resurface. Allegations such as language diversity creating social and political tensions become
accepted truths. This in turn fuels the debate and results in the rights of language minority groups being
dismissed for the greater goal of unifying the country.
Long standing language attitudes and prejudices like those found in the arguments of English only
movements contribute to bilingual education opposition. These attitudes are not to be taken lightly as
they contribute to the social reproduction of the subordinate role of minority languages and speakers of
those languages (Freeman, 2008, p.79). Language prejudices lead to discriminatory practices and

Many secular traditions have been incorporated in America over the last 140 years including tree

Wilfrid Laurier University has conducted an archaeological field school at Old Fort Erie in 2012, 2013,

Assistants and Dr. John Triggs. This paper will be focused on the 2015 season, specifically nnit M,
excavated by Joshua Graf. The artifacts recovered from the Unit have been catalogued and entered into

The areas of investigation were focused to the west of Douglass battery, chosen based on an 1804
watercolour painting by Edward Walsh (see figure 1). In the painting, three buildings are observed in
the background, which prompted the survey of the suspected area. A grid was set up in the area with
flags being placed at an interval of five meters. These intervals were test pitted down to the subsoil and
the contents screened through mesh. The test pits, which revealed building material, were used to co
ordinate three different areas that would be excavated. Units were placed within each of these three
spaces, laid in a way to maximize the area that would be covered. Areas one and three were supervised
by teaching assistants Katie Anderson and Duncan Williams, while area two was under the supervision
of Dr. John Trigs. All soil that was removed was screened through wire mesh and artifacts were placed
in plastics bags with the provenience labeled on the front. The season lasted six weeks, beginning from
May 11th, to June 5th 2015. At the end of the season, all units were backfilled with soil, with plastics
sheets being placed in specific units to protect features.
