Amelia Earhart Conspiracy Theory
There are many theories on what happened to Amelia Earhart but which ones are true? Nobody really

Amelia Earhart was an experienced pilot. she was the first female pilot to fly across the atlantic ocean.
That by itself is a very long flight for back then, but she wanted to step it up by flying across the
whole world. (Crouch) Amelia Earhart disappeared on July 2, 1937. To this day nobody knows for

Emirau Island, off Papua New Guinea, seems an unlikely place to find Earhart because it s far from
the spot where her last radio transmissions occurred. Still, a U.S. Navy crew member in World War II
told of being sent to the island and spotting a photo of Earhart tacked up in the hut of a local man. The
photo showed Earhart standing with a Japanese military officer, a missionary and a young boy. The
sailor alerted naval intelligence officers, who allegedly took the photo from the hut against the owner s
wishes. The photo has never been found. Since Emirau Island had been a haven for Europeans
stranded after a shipwreck in 1940, it s likely the photo contained a lookalike and not the real Amelia

War Measures Act Research Paper
Defining Moment Idea #1: War Measures Act
Possible Sources:
Smith, Denis. War Measures Act . The Canadian Encyclopedia. Toronto: Historica Canada, 2013.

My Thoughts/Commentary Notes
The war measures act seems like a great policy that would allow for quick and bold decisions which
would be best for a situation of war.
If I was alive during WW1 when this policy was being imposed, I would be in favor of it because I
understand how important it is for the government to make quick decisions without the delay of
arguments and debates. However, If I was one of the enemy aliens and they used this policy to force
me to work for them (like constructing railways etc.) I would not be in favor of this act and I would

This is one evidence of how much Canada cares about national security and is willing to go to any
extent. The October Crisis case seems like nothing compared to the acts of domestic terrorism that
have occurred in other countries, and I think that to achieve the level of national security that Canada
has acquired these countries should practice policies like the war measures act to solidify their
national security. A country that I know will benefit from such a law is India.
This speech made by Pierre Trudeau shows how much the Canadian government cares about doing
whatever is in the best interest of the country and the Canadian People because it shows that the
government wants to protect its national security, and at the same time wants to do it in a way that
won t harm the general population. However, in the case of the October crisis this was not possible
and the government was forced to resort to the War measures act to save preserve the national security
of Canada. Despite having to resort to this act, the government did not forget about the general public
and told them that the government will be held answerable any and all of its

The Physical Dimension Of Wellness
Where I personally am at in the physical dimension is on the lower end for flexibility and
cardiorespiratory, but around average for the muscular strength and endurance. I am a bit overweight
and have been for the most recent years of my life due to lack of motivation to work to and keep off
the weight. As of late, my dietary habits have been atrocious, but I hope to change that. One great
thing about my physical dimension of wellness though is my great immune system. Getting sick is
rare for me and only really happens once or twice a year. I do try to take care of myself nicely as I stay
away from smoking, drinking, and drugs. I am lucky to not live with any smokers so being exposed to
tobacco smoke is off the table and I do not live near any polluted areas. I visit the dentist every 6
months and did not have any cavities the last time I had a check up. One bad side of my physical
dimension is the shakiness in my hands. Small finger work such as writing, typing, or even just
holding an item can become a hassle if I get nervous or anxious(which is quite often). I ve gone to the
doctors about it and learned that it s know as Essential Tremors and will get progressively worse. I am
fortunate though that it is not as severe as others have it, and, plus, it makes me even a little more
unique as a person. My situation in the intellectual dimension is better as I enjoy my mind. I love to
read articles online and have become addicted to all of the information I read. I have

4g Mobile Advantages And Disadvantages
4G: The Fourth Generation: The fourth generation of mobile telecommunication technology is 4G the
short form of Fourth generation, succeeding 3G. It allows users to connect anytime, anywhere,
anyhow.
 HISTORY:
The first generation of mobile communications started with the Advanced Mobile Phone Systems
(AMPS), which was an analogue system regarded as 1G. Then came GSM and CDMA one (pretty
much regarded as 2G) and then to UMTS and EV DO, which are 3G technologies. The latest
technologies for 4G are LTE (from the 3GPP group) and 802.16m (from the IEEE). In the case of
802.16m, the candidate for 4G is also known as Wireless MAN Advanced, or WiMAX2. LTE
progresses through versions known as releases. The latest release that qualifies as being 4G is ... Show

 ADVANTAGES OF 4G MOBILE NETWORKS:
The most obvious advantage of the 4G mobile network is its amazing speed. Increased bandwidth
leads to much faster data transfer speed, which is especially advantageous for mobile devices. Users of
the 4G network get the advantage of superior, uninterrupted connectivity, especially for advanced
tasks such as video chats and conferences. The younger generation of mobile device users can stream
music, videos and movies at a much faster rate and can also easily share information online.
4G networks offer much more coverage than other systems such as Wi Fi, which forces users to
depend upon hotspots in each area you visit. Since 4G offers a coverage of 30 miles and more, users
would be assured of complete connectivity at all times.
One of the biggest problems with Wi Fi networks is that of online security which is especially true for
mobile devices. 4G networks offer complete privacy, security and safety. It is very beneficial for
corporate establishments and business persons, who hold sensitive information on their respective

Ibo Vs. Afghan Festivals

Ibo VS Afghan Festivals/Holidays
The daily life of every human being has been refined by the lifestyle passed down from one s
guardians, their community, and the environment they are exposed to. Every culture contains some
sort of celebration and/or a holiday. Through the schedules of people s lives, there are special
occasions in which are celebrated for different reasons. Usually, these days are eagerly awaited for and
have days of preparation to lead up to the event. The Ibo and Afghan culture have great similarities in
preparation and style of celebration, but also have major differences in the reason for celebration. In
the Ibo culture, one of the most awaited holidays is the New Yams Festival, and in the Afghan culture
Eid al Fitr is the greatest celebrated holiday. While this festival, ...celebrates the transition from a time
when food is scarce to a time of plenty, (Encyclopedia of World Holidays, vol 4), Eid al Fitr is a
celebration for those who have spiritually gotten closer to God in the previous month of Ramadan.
The Ibo festival lasts two days and is named after the well known vegetable that helps the Ibo people
survive in the country of Nigeria. Eid is celebrated for one day longer than the Ibo festival and is

The Importance Of Cultural Differences In Health Care
Today s society is a mix of all the nations, languages, traditions, beliefs and cultures. The diversity of
values is what makes society stronger, interesting, more or less acceptable to some forms of foreign
influence in one way or another. In general, the assimilation process into society goes with an
intermittent level of success, cultural differences arise when dealing with certain aspects of life. In
healthcare, people are interacting within very close physical distance, discussing intimate health
details, present at the at happy (childbirths) or tragic (death) moments, where stress can bring patients
and their families to an edge, those deep rooted cultural differences can be seen without any cultural
shields.
Cultural sensitivity and awareness is a very important aspect of modern healthcare. It works well if
staff members are aware of another cultural viewpoint and able to integrate it while providing care
(Burkhardt Nathaniel, 2014). Nursing staff, in particular, spend more time with patients than any other
provider in the health care system. Therefore, they should pay close attention when attending to
patients born in different countries, raised in in different cultures or patients whose views are distinctly
different from the caregiver s perspective.
In the emergency department, patients represent all different levels of society, gender, and sexual
orientation. Nursing staff must be aware that some patients do not see certain treatment modalities as
acceptable

It all started when Paul McCartney, and the rest of The Beatles, looked into meditation with Maharishi

The Overuse Of Antibiotics And Antibiotics
The overuse of antibiotics has been a problem for well over a decade. This misuse leads to many
nonvisible problems arising within the human population. As the use of antibiotics increases, the
number of antibiotic resistant bacteria also increases. When bacteria become resistant to an antibiotic,
another antibiotic must be used to try and kill it and the cycle becomes vicious. Michael Martin, Sapna
Thottathil, and Thomas Newman stated that antimicrobial resistance is, an increasingly serious threat
to global public health that requires action across all government sectors and society (2409).
Take for example MRSA (Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus), a S. aureus strain that was
discovered in 1961 to be resistant to the antibiotic methicillin. Webmd indicates that MRSA has now
grown its resistance from methicillin to amoxicillin, penicillin, oxacillin and many other common
antibiotics (MRSA). This increase in resistance of a methicillin resistant strain of S. aureus can be
attributed to the increasing use and overuse of antibiotics, not only in the doctor s office but also in
agriculture. MRSA is only one of many antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria. New resistant strains are
evolving rapidly. According to Dr. Ed Warren, there are high levels of antibiotic resistance in bacteria
causing common infections (e.g. urinary tract infections, pneumonia, bloodstream infections) in all
regions of the world (21).
In agriculture, overuse begins with nontherapeutic

The Truman Report And The American Community College
The Truman Report and the American Community College
Introduction
The President s Commission on Higher Education was formed with the basis of exploring the purpose
and the need for Higher Education and the role it played in society. During 1947 there were many
issues affecting not just Higher Education but the nation as a whole. Foreign policy was in disarray,
the threat of a Cold War with the Soviet Union and issues such as the post effects of World War II and
Civil Rights had a huge impact on the home front. According to Wolfe (1994), there was a growing
need of Americans that wanted to be educated; however the country was not equipped with the tools
that were necessary to provide these sources. The report highlighted several key areas that would be
the catalyst for Community Colleges, Societal Issues, the Role of Community Colleges, and the future
of American.
Response to Higher Education Societal Issues
The increase in enrollment in high schools resulted in more individuals making the decision to further
their education. As a result of the increase in attendance, the commission found that the amount of
students attending school did not match with the current needs. This could be attributed to factors such
economic backgrounds, individual student finances, and the amount of money that was invested in
higher education, as a result, the commission revealed that there was a lack of funding that was
invested towards education.
In addition to the lack of funding and the

The Catholic Teaching On Chastity
The Catholic Teaching of Chastity:
Vow of Chastity
Religion is one of the most studied things in history due to its connection with our daily lives, and
how people choose to live. Catholics have a set of rules, sacraments, and teachings that are in place to
attain eternal life in the Kingdom of God. Vows and vocations go hand in hand with the Catholic
teaching, most Catholics will take a vow of chastity as a way to commit themselves to God or to fulfill
their vocation and complete all seven sacraments in life by living the life Jesus taught us. Chastity is

The Super Bowl is not only an event that attracts football fans, but brings crowds together in this
suspenseful ritual that takes place annually in American culture. It is not only about the game, but the

Therefore for any company it is a prime marketing opportunity to have a commercial displayed in

end of screen. The fact that the new Lexus is technically advanced is also evoked through the display
of the technology inside the car and character association. A vital part to the plot of the movie is the
fact that Wakanda, the home place of the Black Panther, is settled on a hub of vibranium making them
secretly the most technically advanced country in the world. T Challa throws vibranium in the trunk of
the Lexus within the first seconds of the commercial and then Shuri, the smartest character of the

the Black Panther to the World s Leader Conference sign at the end behind the car, it evokes an elite

Starbucks s Marketing Strategy For Starbucks
This particular case starts off by telling the background of Starbucks as it is today. 30 years ago,
Starbucks was a single store in Seattle s Pike Place Market selling premium roasted coffee. They
decided to change their traditional customer experience in the 1980s. When the company s director of
marketing, Howard Schultz, came back from Italy, he felt enchanted with the coffee house experience
of Italy. Mr. Schultz wanted to duplicate this experience in his own coffee stores. The new strategy
consisted of selling their already proven products in a tastefully designed coffee house setting. With
this strategy, Starbucks became one of the best known brands in the country in a decade. There stores
became places for relaxation, reading the newspaper, holding business meetings, or even browsing the
web. Nevertheless, Starbucks wanted to expand their market. Their first target market was Japan. The
company established a joint venture with a local retailer, Sazaby Inc. This joint venture was divided in
half between the two companies. In order to replicate the experience without losing their competitive
advantage, the Starbucks format was then licensed to the venture. To ensure that the Starbucks
experience in Japan was duplicated properly, Starbucks actually transferred some of their employees
to their Japanese operations. Many critics did not feel that Starbucks was capable of duplicating their
experience into foreign countries. However, by the end of 2009, Starbucks had

The Rights Of Same Sex Couples
Soppho: Have you heard, Socrates, that our government is intending to extend the rights of marriages
to same sex couples? Under that change, gay partners will then be recognized equally as heterosexual
husbands and wives.
Socrates: Yes, but politicians and those in positions of influence have no business to mess with the
standard of God relating to marriage, let alone decide to debate this issue as if it is open for discussion.
Because of the way they are boasted, they don t have a proper perspective on themselves and where
they fit in this life. The standard is clear by the way that men and women are made, so the coupling of
heterosexuals is shown to be divine.

Crazy, right? Road to equality!
Socrates: Here s what you have to understand about bans on interracial marriage: they were designed
to divide the races, and that was and is wrong. Traditional marriage encourages and supports bringing
the genders together, which is good. Ethnicity is not a fundamental merit or facet of marriage. But
gender is. Therefor, including interracial couples does not draw an analogy for the redefinition of
marriage. Interracial, opposite sex couples can still produce biological children together. Same sex
marriage is a redefinition of marriage that s something very different.
Soppho: First, you have some things right (tradition, racism) but fail to provide an example of when it
is ever okay to pass a form of discrimination against gay people. Second, if restricting the legality of
marriage based on race is what you say it is racial discrimination why ban the legal recognition of a
choice of partner on the basis of gender? That would qualify as sex discrimination.
Socrates: Must our jurisdiction then permit the marriage between polygamous parties? If marriage is
redefined so that the sex of spouses is irrelevant, why stop there? It can be further refined so that even
the age and blood relation of the spouses is also irrelevant. If marriage is a fundamental rights issue,
there can be no grounds for saying no to polygamists or non consenting unions.

The Importance Of Living In The Central African Republic
The Central African Republic is one of the poorest countries in the world. As Americans, we have so
much to be thankful for, but instead we take it for granted. In this paper, I will see how much I actually
take for granted living in America compared to living in a third world country. I will also see how
different my life would be living in the Central African Republic.
Religion is a huge part of my life and if I lived in the Central African Republic then my life would be
drastically different. I have grown up in the South where mostly everyone attends church. I attend
First Baptist Church in Maiden, NC, on Wednesdays and Sundays. Church is a stress relief for me and
has shaped me into the person I am today. I am lucky that since I live in America that I can worship
whatever religion I want to freely. I also do not have to worry about a religious war going on in
America.
One thing that wouldn t be different from my life in America is that I m not in the religious minority,
since 50% of Central Africans are Christians. In 2013 a political turned religious conflict broke out
between a Muslim group called Seleka and a Christian and animist group called anti Balaka. This
conflict has cost thousands of people their lives. Villages have been burned down and schools have
been taken over by militia as bases. In America, we might not have a full blown war yet, but tensions
are high between Christians and Muslims (Cadman).

Illusionistic Ceiling Painting of the Seventeenth Century
Introduction:
Webster s dictionary defines illusion as a perception of something objective existing in such a way as
to cause misinterpretation of its actual nature . In Europe during the seventeenth century, or the
Baroque era, certain artistic implementations of spatial illusion were established. The influence of
perception was deteriorating and being questioned. Artists of the time reacted suitably with paintings
and structures intended to fool the eye, the literal meaning of trompe l oeil. This style, not new by any
means, was revived in Baroque art, giving the viewer pause to ask Is this real? as well as to cause a

Another technique was quadratura, which was where a wall or ceiling was painted with architectural
elements such as columns and arches by using tools such as foreshortening, and other spatial effects to
create the illusion of a three dimensional space on an otherwise two dimensional or mostly flat ceiling
surface above the viewer, seeming to extend the real architecture of the room into an imaginary space
beyond the confines of the walls or ceiling.

At the end of the sixteenth century and the beginning of the century that followed, there arose in Rome
one of the greatest works of art which, without exaggeration, may be called one of the pillars on which
seventeeth century painting in Europe rests; the ceiling frescoes of the Galleria Farnese in the Palazzo

Carracci was a slave to educating himself in all things pertaining to art. He researched the old masters
techniques and styles to better improve his own and to seek inspiration. He was obsessed with the
antique , and by investigating such masters as Michaelangelo and Raphael, he was then able to
improve his skill. Annibale s drawings inspired by the works of the old masters, are perhaps best

Whilst utilizing her rhetorical device of ethos on her troops, Queen Elizabeth I affected her troops by
claiming her superiority as Queen. Queen Elizabeth I needed to effectively communicate with her
troops and credibility was not the only way to achieve this, anaphora is. In other words the repetition
of same words at the beginning of successive clauses. She uses this by saying to live and die amongst
you all; to lay down for my God (line 7). Queen Elizabeth I uses this rhetorical strategy to emphasize
the pattern of constantly encouraging her troops and ascertain their allegiance with her. In addition,
another use of anaphora would be I myself will take up arms, I myself will be your general (line 11

follow and even die for her. Additionally, another example is when Queen Elizabeth I says of my God,
of my kingdom, and of my people (lines 18 9). Queen Elizabeth I utilizes the repeating words of and

Explain The Three Keys For First Year Teaching
Having the knowledge of these three main keys are essential for first year teaching. Understanding the
keys gives you a realistic expectation of what your life will look like as a first year teacher. Every
teacher wants to make a difference in their students lives but you have to be reasonable about your
abilities of effectively teaching your first year. You will not be the world s greatest without any real
prior experience. Secondly, you will be so busy making adjustments and adapting to classroom
management that you will not have much of a social life. It is important to become organized and do
as much work in advance as possible. Lastly, you must take the necessary time to reflect on how you
are doing. Encourage yourself and be open

Example Of The Unsung Heroes
Mi esha Straughn Dr. Willis 29 September 2017 ENG 101/102 Mini Term The Unsung Heroes
Superheroes, astronauts, actors, and princesses are among the answers given when children are asked
their desired professions. As they grow up, however, they begin to solidify legitimate professions to
support themselves and be happy. Growing up, I knew for a fact that I wanted to be a detective. The
idea of solving real cases with real people and interviewing suspects gave me a rush like no other.
Helping people has always been a goal of mine. From being a detective, I have also contemplated
being a dental hygienist, cosmetologist (like my mother), and even an English teacher. Even though I
occasionally change my mind, I have decided to give up my childhood dream of becoming a detective
to become a registered nurse (RN). The nursing profession has continued to thrive over time. Because
I have seen how often nurses get overlooked, I want to be a part of a profession that knows its worth,
learns more than just education, and is beneficial to society. Although they are the unsung heroes of
hospitals, schools, and even the military, nurses are essential to communities around the world, and I
look forward to entering this profession. The nursing major is a popular choice for many people
entering college. This profession continues to grow because of numerous factors. As stated by Katz,
some reasons for the increased demand of nurses are the fact that people are living longer, there is an

away if he was planning on using them latter. Valentine said the tools were also valued at over a
thousand dollars in 1903 which is when the story takes place. Now that is worth over 20 thousand
dollars. This means Valentine could have easily just sold the tools for a prophet then bought new
improved ones, but that is not what mattered to him. Valentine wanted to start a new life just and to
get rid of the tools. Also if he would have put them up for sale someone could have easily found out
who he was. Lastly Valentine giving the tools away symbolised the change of how he was going to
continue living his life. The tools symbolise Valentines old life of lying and stealing. When he finally
choose to give the tools away it showed his change, and that he was fully committed to a moral life.
So Valentine wanted to live a moral life, which is why he got rid of his

Essay on Dangers of the War on Terrorism
Dangers of the War on Terrorism
The President of the United State has used the phrases War on Poverty , War on Drugs , War on
Illiteracy , and the War on Hunger, when describing the problems Americans are facing. The term war
is used metaphorically to signify our willingness to devote vast resources, and immense amounts of
time to a specified problem. No one seems to have a problem with these phrases as they do not signify
our determination to die for the cause.
The Civil War, World War II, and even the Vietnam War or Conflict designates our determination to
give the lives of soldiers and spill the blood of the enemy to maintain our freedom. These real wars are
fought under different set of rules, governing everything ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It will not end until every terrorist group of global reach has been found, stopped, and defeated. Even
this definition expands when the President continues to include every nation in every region, is either
with us or against us. From this day forward, any nation that continue to harbor or support terrorism
will be regarded by the United States as a hostile regime. The president also defines our participation
in the war by committing every resource at out command every means of diplomacy, every tool of
intelligence, every instrument of law enforcement, every financial influence, and every necessary
weapon of war to the disruption and to the defeat of the global terror network. The Presidents speech
drew several ovations and was enthusiastically received, but what does it really mean.
The portion of the War visible to U.S. citizens and the world has moved from the rural hills of
Afghanistan to portions of Pakistan, and Iraq. The world now seems posed to see who will be
identified as the next terror target. Korea, Iran, Syria, and Pakistan all have been suggested. Even if we
systematically work our way through the more obvious targets, committing our efforts in each
location, it won t stop there. Every country that

Whiplash Sparknotes
People want to be surrounded by other people. Nobody wants to be worthless. These two factors are
what drive people to sacrifice themselves in order to belong. They sacrifice who they are because they
need, not want, validation in their lives: a sense of belonging. Humans are social animals. They
evolved to be social after discovering that the burden of work could be offset by dividing it with other
people, otherwise known as working together. So if a person is in a group, it is in their best interest to
stay in that group. Not everyone likes each other though, so to avoid being kicked out, one s next best
interest is to keep good relations. The simplest way to do this is to follow basic social rules: etiquette.
Since the rules are set by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
People want meaning and subsistence in their lives. Some people want it more than others to varying
degrees. In the film, Whiplash, Andrew Neiman is a young jazz drummer who strives to become the
best. In one of the scenes, Neiman is eating dinner with his family; the family praise his brothers, who
are star football players, but scoff at Neiman s achievements in band. This causes Neiman to feel
discontent. Thus he begins his ambitious pursuit at becoming the best drummer. He dumps his
girlfriend, turns his back on his family, and ultimately pushes himself to the brink of his ability and
sanity: all for what? Neiman wants to prove not to his family, but to everyone that he belongs on the
drum kit. He is willing to sacrifice everything just to prove that. In another film, The Social Network,
socially estranged Mark Zuckerberg has the extreme desire to be part of the high class of society. He
gets in an argument with his only friend, Eduardo Saverin, over a business deal for Facebook.
Zuckerberg asks him if they want to go back to being a joke. Zuckerberg ultimately alienates him by
removing him off the credits of Facebook. In this scenario, Zuckerberg sacrifices his friend so he can

The Growth Of American Individuality
The Growth of American Individuality in Relation to Self Expression Religion is an imperfect savior.
Primitive civilizations depended on religion to explain the workings of the world; they depended on
gods to protect their crops and homes from disease, drought, and other disasters far out of human
control. While this dependency provided comfort, it sacrificed individuality. Recent years has seen the
rise of alternative forms of media: novels, digital music, movies. These were not available to previous
civilizations. Early Americans only had access to the Bible, which was unreadable to the average
illiterate. Newer forms of media have spurned a nation wide reflection on the old traditions that were
largely set by religion. Ever since the founding of the colonies, and ever since more diverse forms of
self expression have become more accessible, Americans have grown in individuality as they have
become less dependent on religion. The Puritans were the first of the Europeans to settle in the
Americas. While their traditions have left a profound mark on American culture, their strict ways are
rather peculiar. In The Crucible, Arthur Miller critiques Puritan society as close minded and obsessed
about maintaining conformity. The parochial snobbery of these people was partly responsible for their
failure to convert the Indians. Probably they also preferred to take land from heathens rather than from
fellow Christians (140). The Puritans revolved their culture around religion,

Devaluation of the Feminine
Devaluation of the Feminine
The devaluation of women is built into the culture all through industry and popular culture. When a
baby is born he/she is like a blank slate to be written on by his/her surroundings, including family and
society. For example, I am a Christian, however I was not born a Christian, going to Church and being
taught about the Bible by my parents and teachers brought me to identify myself as a Christian. There
are certain gender roles that are set up in societies that limit males and females to certain behaviors
they are supposed to portray. The media in many cultures, particularly American culture, continues
make the devaluation of females more socially acceptable .

Women are put on display as sexual spectacles. An example of a woman who was put on display for
public entertainment is Saarjite Baartman, commonly known as Hottentot Venus. She was a South
African woman whose body was exhibited at circuses, museums, and zoos. The spectacle of Baartman
s body continued even after her death at the age of 26. Pseudo scientists interested in investigating in
primitive sexuality , dissected and cast her genitals (and buttocks) in wax. They concluded that her
oversized genitals were physical proof of African Women s primitive sexual appetite (Thompson).
This is an example of the way a woman s body was used to make a profit, similar to the way the
women in the videos are exploited for ratings. As a black woman, I have begun to pick up the common
theme that Kilbourne pointed out; black females are often depicted as animalistic, purely sexual, and
non human.
In movies, many women are given roles that require them to be nude for sex scenes. If they are not
interested, either they are rejected for the role, even if they are very good actresses, or they are offered
more money until they agree to do the scene(s). Only the most beautiful actresses with the most
perfect bodies are asked to do nude scenes. If the actress that gets the role does not have a fit body,
they are given a body double that does have an ideal body. Therefore, actresses that are trying to

Police Gang So I Chose The Mexican Mafia
The topic my group and I decided on was Prison Gangs. Our subtopic was to choose a prison gang so I
chose the Mexican Mafia. I chose the Mexican Mafia subtopic because it was recommended to me
from another group member. At first the book did not seem interesting because this is a book I would
not normally pick up on my own. This book will talk about many things from its early history of the
Mexican Mafia in chapter one to rival gangs in Chapter twelve. Chapter one talks about gang s early
history, prison gangs did not start in prison, they had to be street gangs; Mexican Street gangs have
been in California since the 1900. Mexican street gangs from the south side of Los Angeles had over
50,000 members 600 from different gangs. The founder of the Duell Vocational Institution (DVI) from
Tracy, California was a man named Luis Huero Buff Flores. The original members of these street

Calo and very few, close to none spoke Spanish. What shocked the author was that the members of the
gang were at some point in time were rivals on the street. Flores created the gang but did not run it, the
book says he made it so no one man controls the gang but instead everyone voted, and the majority
won. He wanted all members to have equality.
Sociologist and law enforcers believed the gangs were created to protect them from inmates. The gang

Scourging Of The Four Martyrs Summary
Niccolo di Pietro Gerini s Scourging of the Four Crowned Martyrs (1385 90) depicts a scene in which
four martyrs are pursued by a group of men with some scourging tool (which resembles a modern day
rake). A late Gothic painting in which Gerini depicts a Catholic story of the Four Crowned Martyrs,
the Scourging incorporates much of the static, stiff forms which are characteristic of the period s
prevailing style. In the painting, one can notice clear divisions of space, distinct separations of forms
within that space, and emphases on the men doing the scourging within that space as a function of
where the light is directed in the painting. An analysis of these three key elements of the painting
suggests a cohesive assertion about the way the painting s subjects are depicted within the image.
Initially it seems apparent that the four martyrs are depicted in a negative manner with the scourging
men taking precedence. However, an analysis beyond the obvious elements particularly the figure
suspended in the air and the devilish figures attacking the scourging men suggest that the four martyrs
are actually being depicted in a more positive light. A brief discussion of the subject matter of the
painting serves as an important starting point. The most obvious subjects, as suggested by the title of
the piece, are the four crowned martyrs. Located on the far right side of the painting to the viewer are
the four crowned martyrs being pursued by the men in front of them (to our

Effects Of Globalization In Tanzania
Tanzania Globalization

Tanzania Globalization In this paper i will write about the effect that globalization has had on the
country of Tanzania. When globalization made its way to Tanzania it became worse and worse for the
citizens there. Tanzania is place with an abundance of land and the western people that came to the
country took advantage of that.
History Before the people of Tanzania were introduced to globalization, they have been living in this
country for thousands of years. The country is on the eastern side of the continent. Archeologist have
found evidence of early inhabitants by studying the paintings on the rocks made by the early ancestors
of the country. The paintings would portray the people hunting and dancing. They would find these
paintings all around, inside caves that they believe were used to make tools for hunting and under
huge rocks.(Taylor Francis group, 2010)But Soon after the people of Tanganyika were used as slaves
and as cheap labor to make products for industrial Europe.
Before gaining their independence they were under the control of Portugal but that changed for a
while, they were apart of German territory until WW1 and were given to British rule where they
eventually gained their independence in 1961. The two countries of Tanganyika and Zanzibar became
one country name Tanzania.(Zoom Tanzania, 2017) Even though there are over 120 tribes, and over

Pros And Cons Of Privatizing The United States
Privatizing the United States air traffic control operations may move closer to becoming a reality in
2017 something most airline companies and other industry leaders have been pushing for a long time.
Proponents of shifting away from government control introduced a bill last year that the incoming
president has expressed a willingness to carefully consider. Rep. Bill Shuster (R), who helped draft the
legislation, sees the long overdue shift to satellite based air traffic management as the solution to
lower costs for operators, while making air traffic safer and more efficient for all stakeholders.

Supporters for privatizing air traffic control claim that it is time to address long delays and
inefficiencies in an aging airspace network that doesn t fully utilize modern aviation technology. UK
based NATS projects delays will exponentially increase from the current 90,000 minutes a year to
approximately 4 million in the next 15 years unless the United Kingdom government invests in
modernization by replacing outdated airspace technology by switching to satellite based control. In the
United States the federal government has a history of moving at a snail s pace when it comes to
updating national infrastructure. For example, New York City just completed a subway upgrade that
was originally approved in 1929. A revamping of the system similar to the innovative changes that
transformed call center voice recording equipment from simple recording devices to systems that
capture conversations and enable digital archiving and instant sharing via cloud based technology, will
help modernize our airspace management strategies. The time to act is now if we want to avoid

Why Immigration Will Do More Harm Than Good For Our State
For many years, the Midwest has been experiencing a severe population decline as young people leave
for college and begin to start their lives in other, bigger, cities. According to authors Patrick J. Carr
and Maria J. Kefalas, this decrease in population has caused many problems throughout Iowa,
including an aging population, dying small towns, and fewer jobs coming to this state. For many
years, the Midwest has been looking for solutions to combat this problem. For example, Governor
Vilsack initiated the Come Back to Iowa, Please campaign in 2006, there have been various economic
incentives to attract people back to their home state, and the Cool Cities initiative started in Michigan
in 2003, are only a few. Although, a more controversial idea being considered is to attract more
immigrants to our state in order to make up for the problems the Midwest has come to face, in recent
years (Carr and Kefalas). Many people believe immigration will do more harm than good for our state,
though there are actually many benefits that come with having them here: immigrants bring more
culture and diversity to this predominantly white state, they are a boost for state and local economies,
and they also help to reverse the decline in population. However, in order for the Midwest to see more
of the benefits of immigration, there are still many changes that need to be done with federal, state,
and local immigration policies in order to make it easier for these immigrants to enter the

Emirau Island, off Papua New Guinea, seems an unlikely place to find Earhart because it s far from the spot where her last radio transmissions occurred. Still, a U.S. Navy crew member in World War II told of being sent to the island and spotting a photo of Earhart tacked up in the hut of a local man. The photo showed Earhart standing with a Japanese military officer, a missionary and a young boy. The sailor alerted naval intelligence officers, who allegedly took the photo from the hut against the owner s wishes. The photo has never been found. Since Emirau Island had been a haven for Europeans stranded after a shipwreck in 1940, it s likely the photo contained a lookalike and not the real Amelia Earhart. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. War Measures Act Research Paper Defining Moment Idea #1: War Measures Act Possible Sources: Smith, Denis. War Measures Act . The Canadian Encyclopedia. Toronto: Historica Canada, 2013. Web. 26 Jul 2013. My Thoughts/Commentary Notes The war measures act seems like a great policy that would allow for quick and bold decisions which would be best for a situation of war. If I was alive during WW1 when this policy was being imposed, I would be in favor of it because I understand how important it is for the government to make quick decisions without the delay of arguments and debates. However, If I was one of the enemy aliens and they used this policy to force me to work for them (like constructing railways etc.) I would not be in favor of this act and I would most ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is one evidence of how much Canada cares about national security and is willing to go to any extent. The October Crisis case seems like nothing compared to the acts of domestic terrorism that have occurred in other countries, and I think that to achieve the level of national security that Canada has acquired these countries should practice policies like the war measures act to solidify their national security. A country that I know will benefit from such a law is India. This speech made by Pierre Trudeau shows how much the Canadian government cares about doing whatever is in the best interest of the country and the Canadian People because it shows that the government wants to protect its national security, and at the same time wants to do it in a way that won t harm the general population. However, in the case of the October crisis this was not possible and the government was forced to resort to the War measures act to save preserve the national security of Canada. Despite having to resort to this act, the government did not forget about the general public and told them that the government will be held answerable any and all of its ... • 6. The Physical Dimension Of Wellness Where I personally am at in the physical dimension is on the lower end for flexibility and cardiorespiratory, but around average for the muscular strength and endurance. I am a bit overweight and have been for the most recent years of my life due to lack of motivation to work to and keep off the weight. As of late, my dietary habits have been atrocious, but I hope to change that. One great thing about my physical dimension of wellness though is my great immune system. Getting sick is rare for me and only really happens once or twice a year. I do try to take care of myself nicely as I stay away from smoking, drinking, and drugs. I am lucky to not live with any smokers so being exposed to tobacco smoke is off the table and I do not live near any polluted areas. I visit the dentist every 6 months and did not have any cavities the last time I had a check up. One bad side of my physical dimension is the shakiness in my hands. Small finger work such as writing, typing, or even just holding an item can become a hassle if I get nervous or anxious(which is quite often). I ve gone to the doctors about it and learned that it s know as Essential Tremors and will get progressively worse. I am fortunate though that it is not as severe as others have it, and, plus, it makes me even a little more unique as a person. My situation in the intellectual dimension is better as I enjoy my mind. I love to read articles online and have become addicted to all of the information I read. I have ... In general, the assimilation process into society goes with an intermittent level of success, cultural differences arise when dealing with certain aspects of life. In healthcare, people are interacting within very close physical distance, discussing intimate health details, present at the at happy (childbirths) or tragic (death) moments, where stress can bring patients and their families to an edge, those deep rooted cultural differences can be seen without any cultural shields. Cultural sensitivity and awareness is a very important aspect of modern healthcare. It works well if staff members are aware of another cultural viewpoint and able to integrate it while providing care (Burkhardt Nathaniel, 2014). Nursing staff, in particular, spend more time with patients than any other provider in the health care system. Therefore, they should pay close attention when attending to patients born in different countries, raised in in different cultures or patients whose views are distinctly different from the caregiver s perspective. When bacteria become resistant to an antibiotic, another antibiotic must be used to try and kill it and the cycle becomes vicious. Michael Martin, Sapna Thottathil, and Thomas Newman stated that antimicrobial resistance is, an increasingly serious threat to global public health that requires action across all government sectors and society (2409). Take for example MRSA (Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus), a S. aureus strain that was discovered in 1961 to be resistant to the antibiotic methicillin. Webmd indicates that MRSA has now grown its resistance from methicillin to amoxicillin, penicillin, oxacillin and many other common antibiotics (MRSA). This increase in resistance of a methicillin resistant strain of S. aureus can be attributed to the increasing use and overuse of antibiotics, not only in the doctor s office but also in agriculture. MRSA is only one of many antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria. New resistant strains are evolving rapidly. According to Dr. Ed Warren, there are high levels of antibiotic resistance in bacteria causing common infections (e.g. urinary tract infections, pneumonia, bloodstream infections) in all regions of the world (21). In agriculture, overuse begins with nontherapeutic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Truman Report And The American Community College The Truman Report and the American Community College Introduction The President s Commission on Higher Education was formed with the basis of exploring the purpose and the need for Higher Education and the role it played in society. During 1947 there were many issues affecting not just Higher Education but the nation as a whole. Foreign policy was in disarray, the threat of a Cold War with the Soviet Union and issues such as the post effects of World War II and Civil Rights had a huge impact on the home front. According to Wolfe (1994), there was a growing need of Americans that wanted to be educated; however the country was not equipped with the tools that were necessary to provide these sources. The report highlighted several key areas that would be the catalyst for Community Colleges, Societal Issues, the Role of Community Colleges, and the future of American. Response to Higher Education Societal Issues The increase in enrollment in high schools resulted in more individuals making the decision to further their education. As a result of the increase in attendance, the commission found that the amount of students attending school did not match with the current needs. This could be attributed to factors such economic backgrounds, individual student finances, and the amount of money that was invested in higher education, as a result, the commission revealed that there was a lack of funding that was invested towards education. • 15. Starbucks s Marketing Strategy For Starbucks This particular case starts off by telling the background of Starbucks as it is today. 30 years ago, Starbucks was a single store in Seattle s Pike Place Market selling premium roasted coffee. They decided to change their traditional customer experience in the 1980s. When the company s director of marketing, Howard Schultz, came back from Italy, he felt enchanted with the coffee house experience of Italy. Mr. Schultz wanted to duplicate this experience in his own coffee stores. The new strategy consisted of selling their already proven products in a tastefully designed coffee house setting. With this strategy, Starbucks became one of the best known brands in the country in a decade. There stores became places for relaxation, reading the newspaper, holding business meetings, or even browsing the web. Nevertheless, Starbucks wanted to expand their market. Their first target market was Japan. The company established a joint venture with a local retailer, Sazaby Inc. This joint venture was divided in half between the two companies. In order to replicate the experience without losing their competitive advantage, the Starbucks format was then licensed to the venture. To ensure that the Starbucks experience in Japan was duplicated properly, Starbucks actually transferred some of their employees to their Japanese operations. Many critics did not feel that Starbucks was capable of duplicating their experience into foreign countries. However, by the end of 2009, Starbucks had ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Therefor, including interracial couples does not draw an analogy for the redefinition of marriage. Interracial, opposite sex couples can still produce biological children together. Same sex marriage is a redefinition of marriage that s something very different. Second, if restricting the legality of marriage based on race is what you say it is racial discrimination why ban the legal recognition of a choice of partner on the basis of gender? Primitive civilizations depended on religion to explain the workings of the world; they depended on gods to protect their crops and homes from disease, drought, and other disasters far out of human control. While this dependency provided comfort, it sacrificed individuality. Recent years has seen the rise of alternative forms of media: novels, digital music, movies. • 31. Police Gang So I Chose The Mexican Mafia The topic my group and I decided on was Prison Gangs. Our subtopic was to choose a prison gang so I chose the Mexican Mafia. I chose the Mexican Mafia subtopic because it was recommended to me from another group member. At first the book did not seem interesting because this is a book I would not normally pick up on my own. This book will talk about many things from its early history of the Mexican Mafia in chapter one to rival gangs in Chapter twelve. Chapter one talks about gang s early history, prison gangs did not start in prison, they had to be street gangs; Mexican Street gangs have been in California since the 1900. Mexican street gangs from the south side of Los Angeles had over 50,000 members 600 from different gangs. The founder of the Duell Vocational Institution (DVI) from Tracy, California was a man named Luis Huero Buff Flores. The original members of these street gangs we not in fact Mexican nationals but Citizens of the US. A majority of them spoke English and Calo and very few, close to none spoke Spanish. What shocked the author was that the members of the gang were at some point in time were rivals on the street. Flores created the gang but did not run it, the book says he made it so no one man controls the gang but instead everyone voted, and the majority won. He wanted all members to have equality. Sociologist and law enforcers believed the gangs were created to protect them from inmates. The gang had their very own rules; they were very strict the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The free and equal pursuit of happiness is the beginning of the American dream, without it the individual dreams of men cannot be built up. The time has come for man to act, rather than be acted upon. In present times the only boundary to equality is our own lack of action. • 33. Scourging Of The Four Martyrs Summary Niccolo di Pietro Gerini s Scourging of the Four Crowned Martyrs (1385 90) depicts a scene in which four martyrs are pursued by a group of men with some scourging tool (which resembles a modern day rake). A late Gothic painting in which Gerini depicts a Catholic story of the Four Crowned Martyrs, the Scourging incorporates much of the static, stiff forms which are characteristic of the period s prevailing style. In the painting, one can notice clear divisions of space, distinct separations of forms within that space, and emphases on the men doing the scourging within that space as a function of where the light is directed in the painting. An analysis of these three key elements of the painting suggests a cohesive assertion about the way the painting s subjects are depicted within the image. Initially it seems apparent that the four martyrs are depicted in a negative manner with the scourging men taking precedence. However, an analysis beyond the obvious elements particularly the figure suspended in the air and the devilish figures attacking the scourging men suggest that the four martyrs are actually being depicted in a more positive light. A brief discussion of the subject matter of the painting serves as an important starting point. The most obvious subjects, as suggested by the title of the piece, are the four crowned martyrs. Located on the far right side of the painting to the viewer are the four crowned martyrs being pursued by the men in front of them (to our ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

When globalization made its way to Tanzania it became worse and worse for the citizens there. Tanzania is place with an abundance of land and the western people that came to the country took advantage of that. History Before the people of Tanzania were introduced to globalization, they have been living in this country for thousands of years. The country is on the eastern side of the continent. Archeologist have found evidence of early inhabitants by studying the paintings on the rocks made by the early ancestors of the country. The paintings would portray the people hunting and dancing. They would find these paintings all around, inside caves that they believe were used to make tools for hunting and under huge rocks.(Taylor Francis group, 2010)But Soon after the people of Tanganyika were used as slaves and as cheap labor to make products for industrial Europe. • 35. Pros And Cons Of Privatizing The United States Privatizing the United States air traffic control operations may move closer to becoming a reality in 2017 something most airline companies and other industry leaders have been pushing for a long time. Proponents of shifting away from government control introduced a bill last year that the incoming president has expressed a willingness to carefully consider. Rep. Bill Shuster (R), who helped draft the legislation, sees the long overdue shift to satellite based air traffic management as the solution to lower costs for operators, while making air traffic safer and more efficient for all stakeholders. Whether global air travel is privately run or government controlled, call center voice recording activities will still be necessary to ensure control tower staff are fully trained and conversations are documented for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Supporters for privatizing air traffic control claim that it is time to address long delays and inefficiencies in an aging airspace network that doesn t fully utilize modern aviation technology. UK based NATS projects delays will exponentially increase from the current 90,000 minutes a year to approximately 4 million in the next 15 years unless the United Kingdom government invests in modernization by replacing outdated airspace technology by switching to satellite based control. In the United States the federal government has a history of moving at a snail s pace when it comes to updating national infrastructure. For example, New York City just completed a subway upgrade that was originally approved in 1929. A revamping of the system similar to the innovative changes that transformed call center voice recording equipment from simple recording devices to systems that capture conversations and enable digital archiving and instant sharing via cloud based technology, will help modernize our airspace management strategies. The time to act is now if we want to avoid problems in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Why Immigration Will Do More Harm Than Good For Our State For many years, the Midwest has been experiencing a severe population decline as young people leave for college and begin to start their lives in other, bigger, cities. According to authors Patrick J. Carr and Maria J. Kefalas, this decrease in population has caused many problems throughout Iowa, including an aging population, dying small towns, and fewer jobs coming to this state. For many years, the Midwest has been looking for solutions to combat this problem. For example, Governor Vilsack initiated the Come Back to Iowa, Please campaign in 2006, there have been various economic incentives to attract people back to their home state, and the Cool Cities initiative started in Michigan in 2003, are only a few. Although, a more controversial idea being considered is to attract more immigrants to our state in order to make up for the problems the Midwest has come to face, in recent years (Carr and Kefalas). Many people believe immigration will do more harm than good for our state, though there are actually many benefits that come with having them here: immigrants bring more culture and diversity to this predominantly white state, they are a boost for state and local economies, and they also help to reverse the decline in population. However, in order for the Midwest to see more of the benefits of immigration, there are still many changes that need to be done with federal, state, and local immigration policies in order to make it easier for these immigrants to enter the ...
