Software Security Is The Biggest E Commerce Retailer
Introduction
Software security is a concept of engineering software and it goes on functioning appropriately
under malicious attack. Majority of technologies accept the significance of this undertaking, but
they require assistance in understanding how to confront it. Best practices for software security
leverage the sound software engineering practices that include thinking about the security primarily
in the software lifecycle, understanding and knowing common threats (inclusive of pitfalls and
flaws that are language based), design for security and subjecting every software artifact to
comprehensive objective testing and risk analyses.
Security is an extent of the ability of the system for protecting information and data from
unauthorized access however still giving access to systems and people that are authorized. Attack
can be seen as an action taken against a computer system having the intent of causing harm, to it
and this may take numerous forms. It may refer to attempts aimed at accessing services or data, or
modification of data, or might be an intention of denying services for legitimate users.

Prejudice In The Bluest Eye
In the novel, The Bluest Eye (1970), Toni Morrison introduces us to three young girls who have
different perspective among the 1930s child film star Shirley Temple. Although Frieda McTeer,
the older sister of Claudia McTeer admires Shirley, and the sisters friend Pecola Breedlove has an
obsession with Shirley, Claudia hates the actress with a passion. Even though Freida may like
Shirley, because society loves Shirley and she is suppose to follow what society values and
admires, being the oldest, Pecola s obsession for the actress and Claudia s hatred for Miss
Temple highlights their self worth. Pecola s excessive adoration of Shirley is what is getting in
the way of her acknowledging how much she is really worth. In Pecola s eyes, Shirley... Show more

Which is the complete opposite of Pecola. Even though Freida likes Shirley, she still loves
herself, she knows who she is. She validates herself worth and that is something that Pecola
doesn t know how to do. When the McTeer family allowed Mr. Henry to live with them, over the
time, he touched Frieda. Her father was outraged and so was everyone else, seeing that they
love and care about Freida, they chased him out. However, when Pecola was raped by her father,
she told her mother and she didn t believe her, therefore she did nothing. Even though Frieda
likes Shirley, she had her sister and parents to help her through this horrible event, although
Pecola had nobody. Since Pecola isn t able to love herself, she has to love Shirley. On the other
hand, Claudia McTeer hates Shirley. She was brought in the same family as Freida, but since
nobody expects anything of Claudia, she is able to have her own opinions and is able to despise
the actress. Freida is the oldest so she must like Shirley because everyone likes the actress, Pecola
loves Shirley because she needs something to love since she doesn t love herself and Claudia hates

The Copper Gauntlet Book Report
The Copper Gauntlet by Casandra Clare and Holly Black picks up where The Iron Trial left off.
Almost 13 year old Callum Hunt, along with his Chaos ridden pet wolf, Havoc, is back home from
his first year At the Magisterium (a school for mages) for summer vacation. But Callum s Dad is
acting weirdly, and Callum thinks that his father knows what Call had just found out: that he
apparently has the soul of Constantine Madden (the evil Enemy of Death). When Havoc goes
missing Call searches for him. Discovering him chained in their basement in a cell like room that
also contains papers about something bad, in his father s handwriting, causing them to run away.
So he and Havoc run away. Returning to the Magisterium for his second year, Call keeps both the
truth of his soul and his father s strange behavior a secret, even from best friends, Tamara and
Aaron, afraid they will turn against him. However that proves that you can t always run away from

he is hiding something from them. An example of this is Call glanced back over at Aaron and
Tamara. They were both leaning on the table, their faces tinted green by the lamps. They were
staring at him worriedly. He thought about going back over to them, but he didn t feel like
facing their questions. Instead, he turned and raced out of the library as fast as his leg would let
him. When Call s friends finally find out what his big secret is, they are scared of him. Eventually
they got less and less scared of him after they figured out that he still the same old Call that they

How Did Heian Culture Influence Tang China
After the reign of the Tang Dynasty, the influence of the Chinese was nearing its completion,
both in religion and culture. The following years spanning 794 to 1185 was known as the Heian
period. The Heian period can be classified into 3 distinct phases over its four centuries. Early Heian
(794 951), Middle Heian or Fujiwara (951 1086), and Late Heian or Insei (1086 1185). During the
Early Heian Periodthe shift in power from Buddhist community back to the Aristocratic families is
fully realized. The Court culture that was heavily adopted from Tang Chinese influences
facilitated this shift. Buddhism makes a transition from a cultural state presence to a set of
complex philosophies. During the Early Period it was the people realized that they had nothing
left to learn from Chinese influence and started to look to themselves for as the center of all
things. Poetry began during this time in Heian aristocratic society not simply as a personal
accomplishment which could prove the quality of a gentlemen or gentlewoman as it had been since
at least the Nara period. It became a more sophisticated... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Amida, the Buddha of the Western Pure Land, was said to save believers through rebirth in his
realm. The idea of eternal salvation in the Pure Land helped spread Buddhism to all classes of
Japanese society. The most important surviving monument in Japan relating to Pure Land is
Phoenix Hall. Inside the Phoenix Hall is a famous Amida image, the Amida Nyorai, by Jocho. A
truly remarkable work. It sits serenely on its pedestal. It stands in the meditation gesture, and its
eyes in an unfocused gaze. The Raigo triptych in the Juhakkain of the Yoshi Hachiman Association
of Mount Koya demonstrates the development of this genre. The Amida Buddha is represented in
a gold figure seated in a formal, cross legged position on a golden lotus blossom

Walt Whittman s Song Of Myself
Song of Myself writing In the poem Song Of Myself by Walt Whittman, he emphasizes that we
are all connected as individuals and everyone has their place in the universe, because we are all
made of atoms. The poet claims that For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you
(ll.3) Whittman is trying to describe how everyone in the universe is the same. Whittman saw
slavery with his own eyes and believed it was wrong as no one had the right to own another. This
reinforces his belief that we are all the same, no one can be above another, and we all have a right
to this world. Whittman continues that The smallest sprout shows there is really no death (ll.41)

Introduction Of The Movie Avatar
Introduction:
The film Avatar (italics on titles plus remove the bold writing on your paragraphs and remove all
the planning above when you submit the final) directed by James Cameron is the story of Jake
Sully; the man who is asked to take the place of his twin brothers place at Pandora for a scientific
experiment. At the start he was very hesitant toward taking his brothers (apostrophe) place, there
were times when he felt like not continuing with the program. Along the way he faced a series on
tests, allies and enemies. The end result is what he was starting to want near the end of the
movie.(the more formal term is film)
Body:
When he was first called to the mission he had moments of refusal because it was a scientific
task and he was in the marine prior to this, therefore he was used to going in all guns blazing
rather than trying to figure it out scientifically and appreciating who they are and what their land
means to them. Other people were not accepting of him, due to his paralysis, causing him to be in
a wheelchair. There is evidence of this when someone from the army side says to their friend that
he is meals on wheels .
Later in the movie, once Jake had figured out that the avatars are nice and that the army shouldn t
(avoid contraction should not) be destroying their land, he starts to refuse orders from Kernell (the
army leader). Kernell was demanding that he told him important things (be precise what are these
important thing exactly?) about the avatars so it would be easier to destroy them, but jake could
keep changing from an avatar to a human, so when he came back to the human life he would
usually start to fill Kernell in on what happened but near the end he stopped telling him so he
could save the avatars. He realised that the avatars were actually really nice and approving of him
after a while.
Where can you include the how? In other words, the cinematic technique, for instance full shots

the Na vi people need to be respected

Persuasive Speech On Government Reform
Sir: On the occasion of the one year anniversary of your inauguration as President of the United
States, THE CRISIS wrote this letter to mark the momentous affair. Sir, you have now been
President for twelve months, and what is the result? You have systematically broken all your
promises and failed your constituency. Over a year ago, voters were whisked away in your
fantasies of greater America, and now they are all rendered sober by the new reality. You give
strength to your rich friends and donors, while the people who voted for you, who hoped of a
stronger, more prosperous economic future, are victims of your latest tragic endeavor.
Within this past month, you have vehemently advocated for the new tax plan, which intends to
drastically cut taxes, while broadening the base . You promised to eliminate unwanted loopholes,
tax breaks, and special favors. You assured voters that there would be a new tax system, where
less time and energy would be wasted on gaming the system to reduce taxes, and for a tax system
that would become fairer. However, this plan is not fulfilling your promises, because it will cut too
many taxes without raising enough revenue to support the government. This will result in hurting
the middle class, while creating a devastating deficit. Thirty seven out of thirty eight economists
agreed that your bill will create a deficit that substantially increases the national debt in a short
period of time. Do you even know what s in the projected 5.9 trillion

The Subgenre Of Horror
What is horror? Many people enjoy a good book or film that sends a shiver down your spine and
makes you question reality. This may seem crazy to others, who do not see a single reason why
you would stay up watching a film that will make you unable to sleep for days, but to others it is
a hobby. The question is, what is horror really, and what makes it so good? Per definition, a
horror story would be a work of fiction with the intention and purpose of giving the reader a
negative feeling, such as fear, repulsion, or dread. It gives the work a frightening atmosphere.
Whilst there are many subgenres of horror, the largest amount of horror stories focus on topics
like death, evil, the supernatural and witchcraft. This is most likely the case because of its
ancient origins, it even has its roots in folklore and religion. Horror started out as something
quite religious, as the majority of people have been religious for a long while. Religious horror
often contains Satan as the villain who uses someone s body as a vessel, a child s for... Show more

It tends to have romantic and supernatural aspects, with the purpose to both seduce and horrify the
audience. Even when they do not contain the paranormal or supernatural, they remain mysterious
due to the focus on a very dark atmosphere. There tends to be a lot of symbolism in gothic horror
as well. Fascinatingly enough, it is one of the oldest subgenres of horror and can even be
considered to be the mother of all modern genre fiction, as the first sci fi authors got inspiration
from gothic horror. The name Gothic originates from an architecture in the Middle Ages, which
Brits from the 18th and 19th century were interested in because of its mysterious and creepy aura.
Back then, there were a lot of Gothic ruins scattered around in Great Britain that inspired British
authors to write horror set in the Middle Ages, often taking place in Catholic

National Health Care For The United States
According to Cothran (2015), Over the past five decades, there have been major shifts in how
we pay for hospital care, physician services, long term care, prescription drugs, and other
services and products . Before Medicare and Medicaid, about half of hospital care was not
covered by insurance. About 100 % of the spending on prescription medications came from the
customers in the 1960s (Cothran, 2015). But, in 2014, customers spent 15% less. Team B will
explain our position on national health care spending in the United States. We will also include:

The pharmaceutical industry is yet another part of health care that is receiving immense profits
from its advertisements and a physician prescribing only certain medications. The truth is that some
of the medicines can cause more harm than good. So who s really profiting? Truth is, that the
physicians and pharmaceutical companies are benefiting; when the doctor prescribes medications
that causes more issues than it cures, a revolving door is created so that the physicians and
pharmaceutical companies can keep gaining profits. For instance, if a patient receives medicine to
treat an ailment and it creates more health issues then the doctor will now keep prescribing
medications to fix an issue, when it is actually making the patient worse. By creating a need the
companies are able to keep themselves afloat. The federal budget was 3.8 trillion for the 2015
fiscal year. The government to take care of each and every American divides the 3.8 trillion; this
comes to about 12,000 per American ( National Priorities Project , 2015). Over 90% of federal
monies are used for mandatory and discretionary spending. The rest is spent on interest that the
government has accumulated. 1.11 trillion is the equivalent of what was spent in discretionary
spending in 2015. About 60% was spent on military and government, 6% on education, the rest was
divided almost equally 5% or less on: veteran s benefits, food and agriculture, transportation,

What Is Swot Analysis Of Airasia
AirAsia was originally launched to compete with Malaysian Airline by offering low priced air
travels. It was, however, unable to liberalize the market to beat its rival and win and maintain its
own niche. In 2001, Fernades bought AirAsia and hired experts in low cost airline business to
restructure the business model in use at AirAsia airline. This was the turning point for AirAsia.
AirAsia is currently the second largest Airline in Malaysia and offers low cost airfares. This is
in consistence with their mission of providing affordable airfares and their vision that claims
that everyone can now fly. The aspect of market liberalization impacts heavily on Airasia airline
as it operates not only in Malaysia but also in other Asia Pacific countries. This has made AirAsia

Symbolism in Jeanne Marie LePrince de Beaumont s Beauty and the Beast
If great writers are able to escape the influences of their era and write in a timeless fashion, then
Jeanne Marie LePrince de Beaumont is certainly not a great writer. Beaumont wrote Beauty and the
Beast in eighteenth century France during the reign of Louis XV. It was a time when the enormous
bourgeoisie population was slowly growing in independent wealth, yet remained grossly overtaxed
and starved. These peasants were systematically excluded from the aristocracy and the workings of
government. France was a stronghold of the dying feudal influenced monarchy system, in which the
king declared himself an absolute monarch with the divine right to rule as ... Show more content on

Indeed, in eighteenth century France, being part of the elite nobility was the only way one could be
guaranteed to have wealth. Because of this, these greedy sisters would not settle for merely a
wealthy merchant...they wanted blue blood.
A glint of good news came to the now impoverished family when the merchant heard that a ship
containing his merchandise had just arrived in port. The merchant was overjoyed and went to
claim his wealth, only to find that there had been a legal ordeal and he had, indeed, lost it all. Here,
the author tries to illustrate the French government s inadequacy in meeting the needs of the
people. In the 1850s, great minds, including the Swiss/French political philosopher Jean Jacques
Rousseau, were writing that the authority to rule came from the people themselves. Furthermore,
philosophers argued that the government s duty was not to serve their own decadence but rather
to serve the people. The French government, being an absolute monarchy, was ruled by only the
word of Louis XV, and the royal Bourbon family had a history of ruling to meet their own selfish
desires. The French monarchy did not uphold the intrinsic promise and duty of any government to
protect, feed, and serve its people. De Beaumont symbolizes this by failing to deliver the goods to
the impoverished former merchant. In other words, just like the merchant s undelivered goods, the

The John Brown And The Pottawatomie Massacre
On May 24, 1856, John Brown and his small army of men raided Lawrence, Kansas, killing five
unsuspecting civilians. The attack ended in the capture and hanging of Brown, as the action was
seen as treasonous. Since this event, debate has incessantly surrounded the figure due to the
violence and morality of the situation. Despite the lives lost, John Brownwas a hero because of the
reasoning of the raid and the lack of alternative options.
The event, known as the Pottawatomie Massacre, is one of honorableness since it was enacted to
promote the liberty of the real victims of the time, the slaves. To only acknowledge the five
civilians as the targets would be to ignore the history of deaths in the slave community and the then

Compare And Contrast Malala Yousafzai
Malala Yousafzai and Claudette Colvin both grew up in very painful conditions. Although their
endings were very different, they both became better because of them. They also show us that the
best way to respond to conflict is to not back down even in extreme situations. These real people
showed us how they didn t back down and, eventually, with hard work and courage, they made the
world a better place.
Malala Yousafzai s story starts when she was around eleven years old. Education for girls and

Charles Lindbergh Jr., was kidnapped from his bed sometime between the hours of 7:30pm and

father came to check on him and found him gone, he found a note demanding a $50,000 ransom.
Three days later, another ransom note was found demanding $70,000. March 9, 1932 a man named

April 4, 1936. Many people, including his family, tried to get him to confess in hopes of saving
his life, or at least giving the Lindbergh family some peace. He went to his grave that day with
the truth. He maintained his innocence until the end. In an interview conducted by two
reporters, he stated that if he had to die, he would die an innocent man when asked if he was
afraid of the electric chair. (www.law2.umkc.edu). Edward Reilly said the verdict was one of the
great miscarriages of justice. (www.clickamericana.com). This case has been studied and

believe, if the police had been more diligent we may have known what really happened. It is true
that you never really know what happened unless you were there, but even then everyone
present has a different account of the facts. The defense attorney committed several grievous
errors, as well as the police investigators. There are allegations of paid witnesses, as well as jury
misconduct. In today s courtroom settings things would go a lot smoother and I believe Mr.

American Influence On Upper Canada
American Influence on Upper Canada: Pre 1812
Upper Canada was created in 1791 to accommodate the Loyalist refugees and land hunting farmers
of the United States after the American Revolution. In addition of the existing two colonies, a third
colony was created by diving the Province of Quebec into Lower Canada which resides in the east
and Upper Canada which resides in the west. The colony was made official by the British
Parliament in the Constitution Act of 1791. Afterwards, the colonies became populated with pre
dominantly American inhabitants and their French speaking counterpart. Consequently, it was
difficult for Upper Canada to merge with these two different cultures, but proven otherwise when

The Civil Law of England was formally introduced into Upper Canada in 1792 (Riddell 165).
Their law greatly differed and was based on their autonomous ego. In Riddell s 1915 journal The
Duel in Early Canada, Blackstone comments the practice of English Civil Law by the Loyalist as
where both parties meet avowedly with an intent to murder thinking it their duty as gentlemen, and
claiming as their right to wanton with their own lives those of their fellow creatures, without any
warrant or authority from a power either divine or human, but in the direct contradiction to the laws
of God and man (Riddell 165). This signifies that the intention of the Loyalist were crude and
irresponsible. They did it out of their egotistic notions. This explains why the political standpoint of
Canada was poor during the War of 1812. The Democratic Republican party did not prepare the
country sufficiently for the war and limited the nation s chances for success (Tucker 3). Canada was
against the participation in the war and wanted to remain neutral. Either way, America threated to
attack and made Canada an unwanted third party victim. The Democratic Republican distrusted
expansive government and feared standing along military establishment (3). The English Civil Law
ended up dividing the country than bring it together. In addition, certain contents of the English

When one begins the discussion of cultural history that is, who we are as individuals, what
experiences, beliefs, and factors that shape us into the individuals that we are today. It is
important to have an understanding of what culture represents in our society. Exploring cultural
history encompasses the combination of anthropology and history alike to further explore
popular cultural interpretations and traditions as seen through historical experiences. Meaning,
an examination of records, past knowledge, arts, and customs of a given group should be closely
assessed in order to begin to understand the individual. In the world today, we see many
variations of cultures. Many stand to the tests of time all there own, while others have begun to
blend together with that of other cultures. I am a product of just that, being born into a family
whose roots tie back to African, Indian, German, and Irish descents made for an interesting
upbringing. In this paper, we will discuss how cultural history and family experiences have
shaped what is now my own cultural beliefs and learning habits. Cultural Background I come
from a home of two parents and two older siblings. My parents both come from military families
who moved across the U.S so they were both exposed to different cultures growing up. My father
born in Seattle Washington and my mother in Shreveport Louisiana both come from a mixed home.
Now while there experiences differed from that of my siblings and mine, given the time

Wingate Test Paper
Introduction:
Wingate is an anaerobic test designed to measure peak anaerobic power, anaerobic fatigue and
anaerobic capacity. The test was designed to be simple to administer, without the need for
particularly skilled personnel; inexpensive; used with commonly available equipment such as the
Monark. 1The highest power level that is averaged over every five second intervals during the
test gives the peak power output. The mean power output is the average power given overall of
the 30 second test. The fatigue index is the decrease in power rate from the peak power to the end
of the test. These three are what was being measured in the anaerobic performance test.
The test consist of 30 seconds of all out cycling against a high breaking force ... Show more content

minutes used to maintain the subjects muscle temperature and blood flow to help decrease any
possible fatigue that may have occurred. After was the acceleration period that was composed of
two stages. Within the first stage the subject had to pedal for five to ten seconds at sixty to seventy
revolutions per minute. Followed by the second stage, the subject had increased the revolutions per

Dillon vs Champion Dogbra Essay
Assignment #5 Dillon v. Champion Jogbra Business Employment Law (HRIS) Dr. Jean Gordon,
Instructor 1. What were the legal issues in this case? The legal issues in this case stem from a
lawsuit filed by former Champion Jogbra employee, Linda Dillon. She accused her former
employer of wrongful termination. She believed the company breached the implied contract and
terminated her services without abiding by its progressive discipline policy as outlined in the
company handbook. But, according to Walsh (2010, p. 589), the first page of the manual states; the
policies and procedures contained in this manual constitute guidelines only. They do not constitute
part of an employment contract, nor are they intended to make any... Show more content on

She would maintain the same pay and benefits, and she had until the end of December 1998 to
find a new position or face termination. Dillon did apply for a new position that would become
open in a month, but was not selected for that position. Dillon left Champion Jogbra when her
temporary position expired. Promissory estoppel is a term used in contract law that applies
where, although there may not otherwise be an enforceable contract, because one party has
relied on the promise of the other, it would be unfair not to enforce the agreement.
(USLegal.com, 2012) Champion s counter argument was that Dillon was an at will employee,
and based on policy outlined in the employee handbook, could be terminated at any given time. 2.
Explain what the implied contract was in this case. An implied contract is a promise made
between two or more parties. Upon accepting a job at the end of an interview, the hiring party is
likely to shake the new hire s hand. This is an implied contract. (Doverspike, 2012) The implied
contract in this case occurred when Dillon interviewed for the new position. At first, she was told
by the Human Resource manager that her extensive training would include time with her
predecessor. In addition, the vice president, her immediate supervisor, reassured her that her
predecessor would be brought

Transitioning Of A Silhouette By Langston Hughes
Transitioning Of A Silhouette During the years of the 1920 s through the early 1930 s, African
Americans established themselves artistically, culturally and socially. This intellectual period
was known as the Harlem Renaissance. The period of the Harlem Renaissance brought together
black authors, musicians, and poets. One of the most notable poets of this era was Langston
Hughes. Langston Hughes is considered one of leaders of this period. He s famously known for
his controversial bodies of work. One of the most controversial poems created by Hughes is his
poem called Silhouette . Silhouette was written in 1936, where racial segregation and prejudice
was emphasized. What makes this piece of work so controversial is how the tone within the
poem takes a drastic turn when the speaker and gender are changed. This paper will analyze the
ambiguous meanings of the poem once the speakers identity is transitioned. This poem focuses
on the lynching of a African American male. The speaker of the poem appears to console a
woman who appears to be distressed due to the events taking place. In the first four lines of stanza
1, the speaker says: Southern gentle lady, Do not swoon. They ve just hung a black man In the
dark of the moon. (1 4) During the time this poem was written, racism and prejudice towards
African Americans was prevalent and habituated to whites. From the first stanza alone, the tone is

Examples Of Oral Presentation
Oral Presentation 03: reading a text and talking about a topic
The purpose of this paper is to give a summary of my last oral presentation which had two
different parts: reading a short text and talking about a topic. All of this had to be done for a
minimum of three minutes to a maximum of five. Once this was done the rest of the students and
the professor were invited to ask questions or comment any possible thing that needed further
explanation. Reading a short text and talking about a given topic, both of them unknown until the
moment in which the oral practice starts, allows the speaker to show its skills regarding
pronunciation without prior rehearsal and the way in which that person organizes ideas and
improvises in order to construct a conversation under uncertain circumstances. This report will go

Thus, the first thing that was done was to choose the text and the topic. We were three students
sitting next to each other at a table in the professor s office. He placed a lot of papers face down
and told us to pick one. Once the three of us had one, we were given three minutes to read the text
that was on the document and to choose one of the three topics that appeared so as to plot an
outline of the things that we would be commenting afterwards. After the time finished, we were
informed that we would be speaking following the order in which we signed up to do the oral
exercise. This meant that I would be the last to talk.

Writing Techniques In John Steinbeck s Of Mice And Men
I must admit that writing reviews for books that you equally like and dislike are mighty difficult
since I struggle with writing reviews that don t just repeat the blurb anyway. The book s plot
even from the start was peculiar as the story progressed the plot proceeded to become outrageous
at times. Certainly, I love a good thriller therefore in one hand this plot might be a tad bizarre for
some readers while on the other hand, certain readers would find it unique. Consequently, I am still
indecisive about which hand I land in though I found it hilarious that the town of Cottonwood,
California had one volunteer police officer/sheriff Jim Kent who was a plumber by trade. Indeed
that is one crazy combination of careers. As for the quality of the actual writing, Mr. Burley has a
specific style all his own. Hence, fitting for the story that was written such as, the fact that it took
place in the mid 1950 s various unique aspects from that time were mentioned which I thought was
interesting especially the way the phone system worked, Belladonna was in a medicated cigarette,

Introduction
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of TAGteach for heightening athletic
performance. Particularly, this study evaluated TAGteach for teaching three dance moves to
students in a dance class. Additionally, this study appraised the implementation of TAGteach by the
dance teachers rather than researcher application.
Method
The subjects for this study were two dance teachers and four female jazz students who were
either 6 or 9 years old and had all not conquered their target behaviors. The intervention took
place at two separate dance studios but each contained wooden floors, a mirror that covered the
wall, and a barre the length of the mirror. All four students were looking to improve their skills for
competition. The materials used to conduct the study were a tagger (a small handheld device that
makes a click sound when pressed) and a camera with an HDMI video function for the purpose of
data collection.

That being said, the inclusion of the token variation of TAGteach creates an argument for another
experiment all together. Which method TAGteach works better? I believe this should be tested.
Results and Discussion The results of this study suggested that each target behavior increased with
exposure to the TAGteach intervention, this includes the TAGteach Token method used by Ashley.
For each student, the mean percentage of skills performed correctly was calculated for baseline and
intervention phases. The results are as follows:
For turn, the mean was 55% in baseline and 87% in intervention (Page 17). For leap, the means
were 29% in baseline and 79% in intervention (Page 17). For kick, the means were 25% in baseline
and 75% in intervention (Page 17). These results show that there was an increasing trend in
intervention for all three

However, William Faulkner (author of A Rose For Emily) and Ambrose Bierce (author of A

stories there were not as many movies, literature ect. Therefore, it may have been easier to

that is universal; sarcasm. Also known as satire, this form of writing has been around since the

obvious satire called Canterbury Tales. Chaucer was a very important poet and author at the time

because kings and presidents cannot be satisfied with a nice chicken and a good loaf of bread.
(Donnelly) The separation between the classes became a very large issue. Chaucer challenged
this through the wife of Bath as she told her tale. This act of violence made such a stir, so much
petitioning of the king for her, that he condemned the knight to lose his head, by course of law.
He was as good as dead. (The Wife of Bath s Tale Page 139, Lines 35 38) Kings, in this period of

Peta People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals
The organization known as PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has an article on
their website condemning the use of leather products. Simply titled The Leather Industry and
accessible by typing cowsarecool.com , this article aims to show how cruelly animals are treated
while their skin is being obtained to make leather. This website supports the belief that that when
you buy leather you are an accessory to animal cruelty because they think that any informed person
would not fund the industry while they operate in this manner. This article is primarily geared
towards those who are easily swayed by slaughter pictures and have so much excess empathy that
they are willing to let PETA dictate what they wear.
PETA claims that you are an accessory to animal cruelty by stating With every pair of leather shoes
that you buy, you sentence an animal to a lifetime of suffering. They then go on to list all the ways
in which animals are subjected to torture while in a slaughter house. Stella McCartney states in

The Shining Path Or El Sendero Luminoso
Known as one of the most dangerous and violent terrorist organizations in the world, the Shining
Path or El Sendero Luminoso in Spanish of Peru was unique in various aspects. Although now
considered a menace to Peruvian society, the Shining Path still remains as a significant reference for
revolutionary movements. Living in an age of terror, Peruwas a country of disorder and corruption;
the road to liberation was a far way to go. For years, demagogic candidates turned dictatorial
leaders were filled with an insatiable hunger to fight for power and dominance. They mainly spent
money on military forces, drugs, and other frivolous things; yet all failed to simply provide for the
people who needed them most. Living was almost nonexistent and an illusion with an impoverished
economy. The country remained socioeconomically stagnant. Promises were never made and
Peruvians became more desperate, angry, and resentful by the day. Emotions gradually fueled their
fires into strong burning passions. This was more than enough to spark a revolutionary movement
to eternally live on. No matter how vile and wicked it would resort to, the people were ready.
Everyone just wanted to survive. And that was exactly where the Shining Pathcame into the picture.
Despite how unconventional this shining path was, it brought a promising future to the voices

settlers and developing it economically. The idea of colonialism has been established since the
1500 s and it has not stopped since. While some viewed the idea of colonialism as a grand concept,
others looked at it as an awful idea that should have never happened. Kurt Vonnegut, the author of

The Presidential Election Of 1980 Essay
On Tuesday, 4 November 1980, The United States presidential election of 1980 was held. The
competition was between incumbent Democratic President Jimmy Carter and his opponent, former
Californian Republican Governor, Ronald Reagan. Reagan, assisted by a falling economy
complicated by inflation and high unemployment, and the Iran hostage crisis, Reagan would win
the election in a sweep, receiving the largest number of electoral votes ever tallied by a presidential
candidate not currently in office. Jimmy Carter, who beat out Edward M. Kennedy for the
nomination for Democratic leader, attacked Reagan as a wild right wing fundamentalist. The
former actor, Ronald Reaganpledged to elevate the cynical mood of the nation, and won a
conclusive victory. This election marked the creation of what was called the Reagan Revolution,
and indicated a conservative repositioning in national government.
Throughout the 1970s, the United States underwent a wrenching period of low economic growth,
high inflation and interest rates, and intermittent energy crises. In the spring and summer of 1979,
inflation was on the rise and various parts of the United States were experiencing energy

A Research Study On Bone Regeneration
Decades ago, numerous studies toke place on bone growth and healing with the use of guided bone
regeneration concepts. Bone has been considered as the one tissue with the greatest potential for
regeneration among the many tissue in the body. A long time ago in 1889 senn reported that the
present of decalcified bonecould encourage healing of the bone defects (170). Guided bone
regeneration is frequently used the same concept for hard tissue reconstruction (128, 171, 172). The
treatment concept includes the application of occlusive membranes for the regeneration of osseous
defects. The membrane induce osteogenic cell population coming from the parent bone tissue by
excluding the non osteogenic cell population from the surrounding soft tissues, thereby inhibit the
osseous wound (173 176). Actually, the placement of mechanical membranes over the jaw bone
defects resulted in effective results in rabbits (177) and over cranial defects in rats (178).
Therefore, guided bone regeneration (GBR) was introduced as a therapeutic modality aiming to
achieve bone regeneration, via the use of barrier membranes (87).
The introduction of biodegradable membranes limits the drawback of non resorbable one but also
the use of traditional biodegradable plates and screws have some disadvantages including poor
mechanical stability, difficulty handling properties, and time consuming fixation. So the
introduction of PDLLA (poly L, D lactic acid) copolymers had been developed to resolve these

Lab On A Chip Lab Report
Introduction The research is specifically carried out on Particle Sorting using the interplay between
the Travelling Surface Acoustic Wave and the Stationary Surface Acoustic Wave. Sorting individual
cells/particles of interest from a heterogeneous population has been of critical importance in
biological studies and clinical applications, such as single cell sequencing, rare cell isolation, and
drug screening. The introduction of lab on a chip (i.e.,
small sized analytical devices) has spurred steadily increasing interest and research efforts in the
microfluidics discipline (upon which lab on a chip devices are based). The promise of such lab on
a chip devices is grounded in the advantages of microfluidics relative to traditional ... Show more

Displacement of acoustic waves is also helpful in creating particle mobility required for separation
of particles in a static fluid volume. In batch systems, with very small samples in contact with a
substrate, separation has been shown using acoustic streaming in droplets, in an open chamber and
in a channel.
Description of Research Methodology In this research we will examine the use of acoustic
radiation forces alone for particle separation in a system, and demonstrate that the controllability
of this type of acoustic force allows highly specific separation. SAW is generated by a spatially
periodic electrical field to create a resonant condition on a piezoelectric substrate.
Further, in TSAW a wavetravels through the substrate and in case of SSAW, there are 2 counter
propagating wave. We will utilise both TSAW and SSAW; the former acts to push the particles
across the chamber, the latter to capture particles in bands of minimum force potential. The system
will consist of a microfluidic chamber, cast in polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), and bonded onto a
lithium niobate, LiNbO3 (LN) piezoelectric substrate.
The device will be held under a microscope using a frame. The

Prejudice, Stereotyping, and Discrimination Essay
Most people have experienced prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination at some time in his or her
life. There is no doubt social discrimination, prejudice, and hostility still create serious problems
and challenges, even in today s apparently more and more individualized and enlightened society.
This paper will discuss prejudice, stereotypes, and discriminationin the context of social psychology
; what the consequences of stereotyping and discrimination are; and strategies to improve attitudes,
judgments, and behaviors. Social psychologists recognize prejudice, stereotyping, and
discrimination by focusing on whether they involve feelings (affect), cognition, or behaviors.
(Feenstra, 6.1 Prejudice, stereotypes, and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Social identities depend on the groups to which people belong. Any group a person belongs to is
an ingroup, and those that they do not belong to are considered an outgroup. Social cognitive
research suggests that outgroup discrimination and prejudice are a result of basic and functional
cognitive processes such as categorization and stereotyping. Our prejudice and stereotypes come
not only from the way our systems process information but also from the world around us. Societal
origins of prejudice involve the norms in the world around us, the competition that exists between
groups, and the social inequalities that exist in the world. Ingroup favoritism leads to unequal
treatment of those we have categorized as in the outgroup. And outgroup homogeneity bias blinds
us to the differences within the outgroup. (Feenstra, 6.1 Social Cognitive origins of prejudice and
stereotypes, para 2). Immediate social contexts do shape individual responses to individual
outgroup members. This exemplifies a social psychological analysis, that is, how actual, imagined,
or implied other people influence and individual s stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination.
(Fiske, 2000, P. 303). Categories help us deal with large amounts of information. They make it
possible for us to process more information and save cognitive energy, so we use categories
copiously. That

A Look Into The Dachau Concentration Camp
Libby Baert HIST B323 28274 April 20th, 2015 RA The First: A Look into the Dachau
Concentration Camp In March of 1933, the Nazis opened the gates to what would be the
beginning of a living for hell for over 180,000 people and the beginning of the end for over 28,000
of those people ( Dachau , 2014). Gates marked with the words Arbeit macht Frei , or work makes
freedom or work liberates , led to Dachau, the first concentration camp instated during the
Holocaust. Although there is much known about Dachau and concentration camps in general, there
is still some intrigue surrounding the first concentration camp. This paper aims to focus on and
look Dachau s purpose, it s inhabitants, and it s happenings and the legacy it has left behind. On
February 27th of 1933, the Reichstag, the German parliament building, was burned completely
down. To this day, nobody really knows who set the building on fire. Hitler took the arson as an
opportunity to put blame on the Communists, but Communists believed that Hitler s own party
started the fire so that they could sabotage the Communists. Even some non Nazi Germans thought
that Hitler was behind it, but there was nothing they could do about it. If they spoke out there was
a risk that they would be accused of being Communist sympathizers (Bergen, 2003). Hitler s answer
to this atrocity was to target the Communists, and soon Dachau was opened. Dachau was the very
first concentration camp instated by the Nazi party. Located in a small

Majority of technologies accept the significance of this undertaking, but they require assistance in understanding how to confront it. Best practices for software security leverage the sound software engineering practices that include thinking about the security primarily in the software lifecycle, understanding and knowing common threats (inclusive of pitfalls and flaws that are language based), design for security and subjecting every software artifact to comprehensive objective testing and risk analyses. Security is an extent of the ability of the system for protecting information and data from unauthorized access however still giving access to systems and people that are authorized. Attack can be seen as an action taken against a computer system having the intent of causing harm, to it and this may take numerous forms. Although Frieda McTeer, the older sister of Claudia McTeer admires Shirley, and the sisters friend Pecola Breedlove has an obsession with Shirley, Claudia hates the actress with a passion. Even though Freida may like Shirley, because society loves Shirley and she is suppose to follow what society values and admires, being the oldest, Pecola s obsession for the actress and Claudia s hatred for Miss Temple highlights their self worth. Pecola s excessive adoration of Shirley is what is getting in the way of her acknowledging how much she is really worth. In Pecola s eyes, Shirley... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Which is the complete opposite of Pecola. Even though Freida likes Shirley, she still loves herself, she knows who she is. She validates herself worth and that is something that Pecola doesn t know how to do. When the McTeer family allowed Mr. Henry to live with them, over the time, he touched Frieda. The following years spanning 794 to 1185 was known as the Heian period. The Heian period can be classified into 3 distinct phases over its four centuries. Early Heian (794 951), Middle Heian or Fujiwara (951 1086), and Late Heian or Insei (1086 1185). During the Early Heian Periodthe shift in power from Buddhist community back to the Aristocratic families is fully realized. The Court culture that was heavily adopted from Tang Chinese influences facilitated this shift. Buddhism makes a transition from a cultural state presence to a set of complex philosophies. During the Early Period it was the people realized that they had nothing left to learn from Chinese influence and started to look to themselves for as the center of all things. Introduction Of The Movie Avatar Introduction: The film Avatar (italics on titles plus remove the bold writing on your paragraphs and remove all the planning above when you submit the final) directed by James Cameron is the story of Jake Sully; the man who is asked to take the place of his twin brothers place at Pandora for a scientific experiment. At the start he was very hesitant toward taking his brothers (apostrophe) place, there were times when he felt like not continuing with the program. Along the way he faced a series on tests, allies and enemies. The end result is what he was starting to want near the end of the movie.(the more formal term is film) Body: When he was first called to the mission he had moments of refusal because it was a scientific task and he was in the marine prior to this, therefore he was used to going in all guns blazing rather than trying to figure it out scientifically and appreciating who they are and what their land means to them. Other people were not accepting of him, due to his paralysis, causing him to be in a wheelchair. There is evidence of this when someone from the army side says to their friend that he is meals on wheels . Later in the movie, once Jake had figured out that the avatars are nice and that the army shouldn t (avoid contraction should not) be destroying their land, he starts to refuse orders from Kernell (the army leader). Kernell was demanding that he told him important things (be precise what are these important thing exactly?) about the avatars so it would be easier to destroy them, but jake could keep changing from an avatar to a human, so when he came back to the human life he would usually start to fill Kernell in on what happened but near the end he stopped telling him so he could save the avatars. Sir, you have now been President for twelve months, and what is the result? You have systematically broken all your promises and failed your constituency. Over a year ago, voters were whisked away in your fantasies of greater America, and now they are all rendered sober by the new reality. You give strength to your rich friends and donors, while the people who voted for you, who hoped of a stronger, more prosperous economic future, are victims of your latest tragic endeavor. Within this past month, you have vehemently advocated for the new tax plan, which intends to drastically cut taxes, while broadening the base . You promised to eliminate unwanted loopholes, tax breaks, and special favors. You assured voters that there would be a new tax system, where less time and energy would be wasted on gaming the system to reduce taxes, and for a tax system that would become fairer. However, this plan is not fulfilling your promises, because it will cut too many taxes without raising enough revenue to support the government. This will result in hurting the middle class, while creating a devastating deficit. This may seem crazy to others, who do not see a single reason why you would stay up watching a film that will make you unable to sleep for days, but to others it is a hobby. The question is, what is horror really, and what makes it so good? Per definition, a horror story would be a work of fiction with the intention and purpose of giving the reader a negative feeling, such as fear, repulsion, or dread. It gives the work a frightening atmosphere. Whilst there are many subgenres of horror, the largest amount of horror stories focus on topics like death, evil, the supernatural and witchcraft. This is most likely the case because of its ancient origins, it even has its roots in folklore and religion. The pharmaceutical industry is yet another part of health care that is receiving immense profits from its advertisements and a physician prescribing only certain medications. The truth is that some of the medicines can cause more harm than good. So who s really profiting? For instance, if a patient receives medicine to treat an ailment and it creates more health issues then the doctor will now keep prescribing medications to fix an issue, when it is actually making the patient worse. Symbolism in Jeanne Marie LePrince de Beaumont s Beauty and the Beast If great writers are able to escape the influences of their era and write in a timeless fashion, then Jeanne Marie LePrince de Beaumont is certainly not a great writer. Beaumont wrote Beauty and the Beast in eighteenth century France during the reign of Louis XV. It was a time when the enormous bourgeoisie population was slowly growing in independent wealth, yet remained grossly overtaxed and starved. These peasants were systematically excluded from the aristocracy and the workings of government. France was a stronghold of the dying feudal influenced monarchy system, in which the king declared himself an absolute monarch with the divine right to rule as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Indeed, in eighteenth century France, being part of the elite nobility was the only way one could be guaranteed to have wealth. Because of this, these greedy sisters would not settle for merely a wealthy merchant...they wanted blue blood. A glint of good news came to the now impoverished family when the merchant heard that a ship containing his merchandise had just arrived in port. The merchant was overjoyed and went to claim his wealth, only to find that there had been a legal ordeal and he had, indeed, lost it all. Here, the author tries to illustrate the French government s inadequacy in meeting the needs of the people. In the 1850s, great minds, including the Swiss/French political philosopher Jean Jacques Rousseau, were writing that the authority to rule came from the people themselves. Furthermore, philosophers argued that the government s duty was not to serve their own decadence but rather to serve the people. The French government, being an absolute monarchy, was ruled by only the word of Louis XV, and the royal Bourbon family had a history of ruling to meet their own selfish desires. The French monarchy did not uphold the intrinsic promise and duty of any government to protect, feed, and serve its people. De Beaumont symbolizes this by failing to deliver the goods to the impoverished former merchant. In other words, just like the merchant s undelivered goods, the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 24. Dillon vs Champion Dogbra Essay Assignment #5 Dillon v. Champion Jogbra Business Employment Law (HRIS) Dr. Jean Gordon, Instructor 1. What were the legal issues in this case? The legal issues in this case stem from a lawsuit filed by former Champion Jogbra employee, Linda Dillon. She accused her former employer of wrongful termination. She believed the company breached the implied contract and terminated her services without abiding by its progressive discipline policy as outlined in the company handbook. But, according to Walsh (2010, p. 589), the first page of the manual states; the policies and procedures contained in this manual constitute guidelines only. She would maintain the same pay and benefits, and she had until the end of December 1998 to find a new position or face termination. Dillon did apply for a new position that would become open in a month, but was not selected for that position. Dillon left Champion Jogbra when her temporary position expired. Promissory estoppel is a term used in contract law that applies where, although there may not otherwise be an enforceable contract, because one party has relied on the promise of the other, it would be unfair not to enforce the agreement. (USLegal.com, 2012) Champion s counter argument was that Dillon was an at will employee, and based on policy outlined in the employee handbook, could be terminated at any given time. 2. Explain what the implied contract was in this case. An implied contract is a promise made between two or more parties. Upon accepting a job at the end of an interview, the hiring party is likely to shake the new hire s hand. This is an implied contract. (Doverspike, 2012) The implied contract in this case occurred when Dillon interviewed for the new position. One of the most controversial poems created by Hughes is his poem called Silhouette . Silhouette was written in 1936, where racial segregation and prejudice was emphasized. What makes this piece of work so controversial is how the tone within the poem takes a drastic turn when the speaker and gender are changed. This paper will analyze the ambiguous meanings of the poem once the speakers identity is transitioned. This poem focuses on the lynching of a African American male. The speaker of the poem appears to console a woman who appears to be distressed due to the events taking place. The competition was between incumbent Democratic President Jimmy Carter and his opponent, former Californian Republican Governor, Ronald Reagan. Reagan, assisted by a falling economy complicated by inflation and high unemployment, and the Iran hostage crisis, Reagan would win the election in a sweep, receiving the largest number of electoral votes ever tallied by a presidential candidate not currently in office. • 41. A Research Study On Bone Regeneration Decades ago, numerous studies toke place on bone growth and healing with the use of guided bone regeneration concepts. Bone has been considered as the one tissue with the greatest potential for regeneration among the many tissue in the body. A long time ago in 1889 senn reported that the present of decalcified bonecould encourage healing of the bone defects (170). Guided bone regeneration is frequently used the same concept for hard tissue reconstruction (128, 171, 172). The treatment concept includes the application of occlusive membranes for the regeneration of osseous defects. The membrane induce osteogenic cell population coming from the parent bone tissue by excluding the non osteogenic cell population from the surrounding soft tissues, thereby inhibit the osseous wound (173 176). Actually, the placement of mechanical membranes over the jaw bone defects resulted in effective results in rabbits (177) and over cranial defects in rats (178). Therefore, guided bone regeneration (GBR) was introduced as a therapeutic modality aiming to achieve bone regeneration, via the use of barrier membranes (87). The introduction of biodegradable membranes limits the drawback of non resorbable one but also the use of traditional biodegradable plates and screws have some disadvantages including poor mechanical stability, difficulty handling properties, and time consuming fixation. Any group a person belongs to is an ingroup, and those that they do not belong to are considered an outgroup. Social cognitive research suggests that outgroup discrimination and prejudice are a result of basic and functional cognitive processes such as categorization and stereotyping. Our prejudice and stereotypes come not only from the way our systems process information but also from the world around us. Societal origins of prejudice involve the norms in the world around us, the competition that exists between groups, and the social inequalities that exist in the world. Ingroup favoritism leads to unequal treatment of those we have categorized as in the outgroup. And outgroup homogeneity bias blinds us to the differences within the outgroup. (Feenstra, 6.1 Social Cognitive origins of prejudice and stereotypes, para 2). Immediate social contexts do shape individual responses to individual outgroup members. This exemplifies a social psychological analysis, that is, how actual, imagined, or implied other people influence and individual s stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination. (Fiske, 2000, P. 303).
