Write An Essay For Me
Writing an essay on the topic "Write An Essay For Me" presents a unique challenge as it
involves navigating the paradoxical nature of the prompt. The inherent complexity arises from
the self-referential nature of the task – crafting an essay about the act of composing an essay.
The challenge lies in striking a balance between maintaining a coherent narrative and addressing
the inherent irony embedded in the request.
The initial hurdle involves establishing a clear purpose and direction for the essay. Determining
the scope of the discussion is crucial to avoid veering into tangential topics. Balancing the meta-
commentary on the writing process with substantive content is a delicate task, requiring a
nuanced approach to maintain reader engagement.
The writer must grapple with the paradoxical demand for creativity within a seemingly restrictive
framework. Striking a balance between adhering to the topic and injecting originality into the
narrative is essential. This demands a high level of self-awareness, as the essay should reflect on
the process of writing itself while delivering meaningful insights.
Furthermore, the essayist must be cautious not to fall into the trap of redundancy. Repeating the
same ideas about the challenge of writing an essay on this specific topic can quickly become
tiresome for the reader. Variation in expression and the introduction of diverse perspectives are
essential to keep the essay dynamic and engaging.
Another layer of complexity arises from the potential for self-reference fatigue. Constantly
addressing the act of writing an essay about writing an essay can lead to a recursive loop,
making the essay feel circular and uninspired. Striking a delicate balance between self-reference
and substantive content is essential to prevent the essay from becoming overly self-indulgent.
In conclusion, composing an essay on the topic "Write An Essay For Me" involves a multifaceted
challenge. Navigating the intricacies of self-reference, maintaining originality, and avoiding
redundancy demand a careful approach. However, with a thoughtful strategy and a creative
mindset, the essayist can overcome these challenges to produce a compelling and thought-
provoking piece.
If you find writing such essays daunting, similar tasks and more can be effortlessly handled by
professionals. A variety of writing services, such as HelpWriting.net, offer assistance tailored

The Apache Indian Culture
The Apache are a well known nomadic tribe that dominate Southwestern colonial
America, as well as parts of Mexico. Fighting between the Native Americans and
colonials have temporarily ceased. Our chief has sent me, along with a few
warriors, to meet with a man named General George Washington in hopes of
achieving peace between our people. Our chief describes these colonials as very
close minded, as they rarely see other cultures aside from their own, and may view
us as savages. To avoid further conflict, I must show the colonials our way of life
and explain to them our culture in hopes of creating a bridge between our people
and to possibly create a preverbal bridge of assimilation between us. Surely after
viewing our way of politics and studying... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 1686, the Apache were named the owners of all the buffalo plains. (Colin pg. 28)
People don t live by meat alone, be that as it may. A few specialists believed that the
Apache practiced agriculture when they touched base in the Southern Plains. Early
Spanish records don t confirm that practice, and others trust that any broad farming
endeavors started in the late nineteenth century. The Apache were not oblivious to
the benefits of agriculture however, and there is evidence that a few crops had been
grown by the eighteenth century: They each sow corn and beans near where the
Spaniards live. While sporadic, these endeavors to grow corn proceeded, regularly
centered around the region of the Toyah Creek conversion with the Pecos River in the
Trans Pecos region. At the point when the Texasgovernment entertained the idea of
building an Apache reservation in 1853, the zone they considered for the reservation
was along this creek because the Apache had such a long relationship with. In Texas,
the Lipan and Mescalero were also known to eat pecans, thorny pear fish, and agave

Black Death And The Black Plague
The Black Death, also known as the Black Plague, was one of the most deadliest
diseases of all time. This disease came to Europe around 1347 C.E, by merchants
from East Asia. The Black Plague then spread all across Europe, and killed over
25,000,000 people. The Black Death had its effect on many things. The peasant and
noble differentiation was realized to be bogus, the belief in religious authorities came
under question, and poor people actually benefited from the Black Death. After the
epidemic declined there were a few outbreaks of the disease later on, but that also
came to an end. Nevertheless, its impact lasted for centuries.
The Middle Ages in Europe was from 500 to 1500 C.E. The Middle Ages consisted
of population growth, developing existing ideas, and creating new ones. Before
the Black Death spread to Europe in 1347 C.E, their was a massive increase in
population. The population increased from 25,000,000 people to 75,000,000,
between 950 and 1250 C.E. There was at least 80,000,000 people in Europe by the
time the Black Death struck. There were also many economic developments to
support the people living in Europe. Commerce, manufacturing and travel became
more progressive, and many more towns were built, as well as cathedrals and
mosques. But the drastically increasing population became to much to handle for the
economy of Europe, that some people say the strike of the Black Death, causing
millions of deaths, was a blessing.
The origin of the Black Death was
Analysis Of Saint Thomas Aquinas Third Way Essay
1.)Introduction
In analyzing Saint Thomas Aquinas s Third Way I will first identify the structure of
the argument and then I will define some terms that are vital in understanding the
argument. Next I will state the premises and conclusion of his argument in my own
words. Then I will identify an objection to premise one and finally I will attempt to
articulate a rebuttal to that objection.
St. Thomas Aquinas Third Way is a reductio ad absurdum argument. The structure of
the modal cosmological argument first identifies a certain proposition and then
disproves that proposition by showing an absurdity to which it leads when carried to
its logical conclusion. St. Thomas uses three terms in his argument that are important
to clarify:
Possible: a statement that could happen regardless of how ridiculous it sounds.
Necessity: that which must be actual
Contingent: something which is possibly true or possibly false
2. Aquinas s Third Way
1.We find in nature some things that are contingent.
2.If there are things which are contingent then such things have not always been in
existence
3.If everything is contingent then at one time there was nothing in existence.
4.If there was nothing in existence then there is nothing in existence now.
5.Such a statement is absurd because some things now exist.
6.Therefore, there must be something which exists out of necessity, namely God.
3. An Objection to Premise One
Blessed John Duns Scotus states an objection to St. Thomas
Incidents In The Life Of A Slave Girl Essay
The slave narratives Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass by Frederick
Douglass and Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl by Harriet Jones are similar but
different in many ways. The narratives tell from the perspective of a man and woman
the struggles of slavery and their journey to freedom. Their slave narratives help us to
better comprehend the trials and tribulations that happened during slavery. The main
difference between Douglass s and Jacobs narratives is their gender. Their gender has
a direct impact on the experiences they had and how their got to their freedom.
In Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl, Harriet Jones tells the story of Linda Brent, a
young female slave whose focus is keeping her family safe and ... Show more content

In Harriet Jacob s account of slavery, she talks about how slavery was in the point
of view of a woman. She says, Slavery is terrible for men, but it is far more terrible
for women . This is because men are subjected to the hard labor and physical abuse,
but woman are also subjected to emotional and sexual harassment as well. Jacobs
talks about her master, Dr. Flint, took a special interest in her. She tells how when
she turned 15, Dr. Flint would whisper advances in her ear, send her letters, and
even built a separate cabin for her to live in. Linda did not know what to do, so she
came up with a plan that if she became pregnant with someone else s child, Dr.
Flint would de disgusted with her and let her be. Linda became pregnant with Mr.
Sands child, but this plan and none of her other plans work. Dr. Flint would not let
Linda free no matter what she did. Dr. Flint continues to pursue Linda and gives
her many ultimatums to try to make her be with him. Dr. Flint tells Linda that if
she begins a sexual relationship with him, he will let her and her children be free,
but if she says no, she must go work for his son. Even after Linda goes into hiding
and escapes, Dr. Flint continues to pursue her for seven years. He writes her letters,
goes on trips to look for her, continually harasses her family and friends, and refuses
to sell her children in hopes that she will come back to
Improving The Target Market Of Panera Bread
Expanding the target market of Panera Bread is a good growth opportunity for
them. This can be achieved by product line (menu options) extension or by entering
international market outside the American continent so as to increase their
geographical coverage. In addition, Panera has an opportunity to get additional
market and growth by adapting rapidly to changing market and customer
preferences. They need to advertise and market themselves as a healthy option for
eating out. Health oriented food or food that are low in calories, sugar, cholesterol,
etc. is getting very important as people started becoming very health conscious and
selective. Their effort to roll out new products with fresher ingredients such as
antibiotic free chicken needs to be further expanded. Recognizing the health risks
associated with transfat, Panera had completely removed all transfat from its menu
by 2006. Organic food, non GMO, etc. They could increase number of their
franchises. A number of markets were still available for franchise development. The

franchises. They could open within North America and mainly in areas where they
are not present now, and those areas where the growth potential is good, like some
of the suburban markets. Many good locations for fast casual dining options are
available in many of the untapped areas. Panera has a good market opportunity
outside the small urban niche where greater growth
Asteroids Impact On Society
Asteroid Impact Asteroids are rocky objects that move in the asteroid belt , which is
between the orbit of Mars and Jupiter. Asteroids vary in size, composition, and how
they orbit. It is estimated that more than 100,000 asteroids are orbiting too close to
the earth. Asteroid impacts have affected the Earth remarkably with great damage.
Hopefully these impacts will not be as bad in the future. Clemens Rumpf from
University of Southampton, and his associates, speculated the casualties from an
asteroid and how it would impact Earth. These researchers studied the effects it would
cause on Earth by researching, asteroids that burn up ompletely [sic] before impact,
those that hit the ground and those that strike in water (Crane 1).... Show more content

Until 2004, Spaceguard survey astronomers, did not think about the effect of an
impact and how important it is to look for asteroids that can corrupt Earth in the
future. In 2004, an asteroid event took effect on Earth that changed the way the
Spaceguard astronomers thought. The first event took place on, January 14,
2004. This asteroid was named AL00667 and had a twenty five percent chance of
hitting Earth between thirty six hours. Even though this asteroid missed Earth by
millions of miles, organizations were formed so there could be warnings for any
threatening object that will affect Earth in the future. The second event that took
place was the discovery of Apophis June 19, 2004. Apophis was only imaged for
two nights and was later seen by, Gordon Garradd, from the Siding Spring
Observatory, in New South Wales observatory, December 18, 2004. After his
observations of the minor planet, it was predicted that there was a one out of three
hundred chance that Apophis will hit Earth in 2029 by a software at NASA s NEO
Program Office and at the University of Pisa in Italy. The odds continued to
decrease as astronomers observed throughout the years. As 2029 approaches,
questions still afloat. Will April 13, 2029 be the end of the world? In conclusion,

A Short History of MRI
What is MRI? Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a sophisticated computerized
imaging technique, which has been a clinical diagnostic tool since 1980. MRI is
used to create images with extraordinary detail of the body or brain by applying
nuclear magnetic resonance phenomena. The distribution of hydrogen nuclei
(protons), found in cellular water, depends on the tissue type and whether or not the
tissue is healthy or diseased. MRI measures and records changes in the magnetic
properties of these protons. The MRI technique uses a strong magnetic field, pulsed
electromagnetic fields known as gradients, and radio waves to excite the protons and
produce the image in the region of interest. The image is produced then displayed on
a gray scale... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
MRI is superior to CAT scan because CAT scan is using ionizing radiation, MRI
uses harmless radio waves. The only unusual preparation is that all removable
metallic objects must be left outside the scanning room, including removable
hearing aids, dentures and other prosthetic devices. Credit cards can be damaged
by the MRI because magnetic codes can be affected by the MRI magnet. Magnetic
Resonance Imaging is a powerful diagnostic tool in the medical imaging market
place as the procedure of choice for the visualization of soft tissue. The MRI
industry is producing over 2,000 units per year. The United States is represented
with 40% of the world marketing and production of MRI. There is an emerging
consensus that the MRI has a broad application in smaller hospital and clinics.
Neurologists are one of medical specialty that depend a great deal on MRI for
accurate diagnostic of the central nerve system. Other medical specialty that rely
upon the MRI technology include neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons and
chiropractors. MRI is useful in diagnosis of pinched nerves in the spinal column,
heart disease, multiple sclerosis and other diseases of the central nerve system. The
use of MRI technology will increase in the United States and the world because of
the tremendous significance in modern medical diagnosis. The Tesla Unit is a label
on every MRI machine signifying the strength of the MRI Magnetic Field. The
stronger the magnetic field, the
Aria A Memoir Of A Bilingual Childhood Summary
In Richard Rodriguez s essay, Aria: A Memoir of a Bilingual Childhood, the concept
that language itself does not convey intimacy, it can be used to communicate
intimacy is apparent. Rodriguez conveys this through his repeated distinguishment of
his family, and the public; Spanish speakers, rather, seemed related to me, for I
sensed that we shared through our languagethe experience of feeling apart from los
gringos. This technique of italicizing the words los gringos , as well as writing it
Spanish emphasizes the separateness Rodriguez has with the public. By using this
technique, it also creates a sense of irony in the reader, which effectively
communicates Rodriguez s point. The reader is, in part, experiencing some of
Rodriguez s childhood by giving the reader themselves the idea of otherness
(established by the use of los gringos. ) Rodriguez also uses this sensation to illustrate
that through this otherness of speaking Spanish, he finds intimacy with those in the
same situation.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He explains this idea by using subtext; I am speaking with ease in Spanish. I am
addressing you in words I never use with los gringos, I recognize you as someone
special, close, like no one outside. You belong with us. In the family (Rodriguez 306.)
Rodriguez describes his experience of hearing his family speak Spanish through
mental subtext. In the quote, a mixture of complete thoughts and fragmented
sentences are used. Rodriguez begins the quote with longer sentences, and then ends
the passage in short fragmented sentences. The progression of the quote goes from
formal to informal fragments. Through this technique, Rodriguez coveys that again,
through his language otherness , he experiences
Chick Fil A Swot Analysis
My company of choice is Chick fil A, and I believe an appropriate mission
statement would be, to serve the best tasting, freshest chicken sandwich while
glorifying God and having a positive influence on the families who enjoy it. Some
objectives that the company could strive for to achieve this goal could be to:
Retain a commitment to using fresh chicken and ingredients
Provide a family friendly atmosphere
Hire employees that respect customers and value the mission statement
Give back to the community
Treat employees with respect
After researching the SWOT analysis of Chick fil A, I found that some of the
strengths include: it is an established brand in the United States, it has a successful

Maybe it is difficult for the company to find a customer base outside the US, or
maybe it would be too difficult to find employees outside of the US who support
and adhere to their mission statement. Whatever their reason, I believe it would be
beneficial to make an attempt at expanding outside the United States. They also
have a fraction of the locations that their competitors possess. McDonald s
currently has 36,900 stores, Burger King has 15,000, and Chick fil A has about
2200. Again, Chick fil A does not have a significant presence outside the US, but the
other companies do, which could account for a large portion of the difference.
Opening more franchises would create a larger customer base for the company and
would maximize profits, changing this weakness to a strength. An opportunity for

Eminem s Influence On Hip-Hop Culture
Since the release of Rapper s Delight , by The Sugarhill Gang in 1979, the hip hop
culture has been widely referred to as one of the most influential industries present
today. With popular artists such as Drake Rihanna releasing record breaking albums,
the influential aspect of this genre is growing exponentially. With the growing
audience in the hip hop world, it s important to recognize the positive influences
present. Within the world of hip hop, thousands of artists and millions of song are
floating the internet, with only around 300 artists considered popular , or globally
known. Of these, 136 artists have released albums that have reached platinum status,
or to sell over 1 million copies, (i.e. Lemonade Beyonce, VIEWS Drake) with many
artists, like Marshall Mathers III, aka... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Eminem has also been recognized as the only hip hop artist to reach diamond
status twice. With hip hop singles and albums topping charts every day, and
breaking records, recognition to this genre has grown by 46% over the past
decade. Many artists, such as Kendrick Lamar , NWA , and even christian rappers
like Lecrae promote change through their music, attempting to influence their
audience. For example, Kendrick Lamar promotes racial equality (even
mentioning Eric Garner, and Michael Brown s case), and urges listeners and other
artists to stop promoting violence and instead promote world peace in a way. This
message runs parallel to Lamar s idol, Tupac Shakur (2Pac, an american rapper
who sold over 75 million records worldwide). If we really are saying rap is an art
form, then we got to be true to it and be more responsible for our lyrics, Tupac told
Vibe in 1995. If you see everybody dying because of what you saying, it don t
matter that you didn t make them die, it just matters that you didn t save them. In a
recent track released by Lamar, To Pimp a Butterfly, he vows to bring the positivity
back to his listeners. This
Flying Spaghetti Monster Research Paper
The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (often shortened to FSM), also known as
the Pastafarian Church, and Flying Spaghetti Monsterism, was created in 2005 after a
letter protesting the teaching of intelligent design in schools, written by Prophet
Bobby Henderson, was posted online. Since that time, The FSM has gained much
internet fame and what Henderson estimates to be millions, if not thousands . The
Church is founded on the belief that the world was created by the benevolent and
undetectable mythical being known as the Flying Spaghetti Monster. It is commonly
believed by members that, after drinking heavily, he created the world in four days,
starting with a mountain, a tree, and a midget, later creating a wench for the midget,
whom all humans are descended from. The church states that their envisionment of

Himself (see fig. 2), which is used to identify other members of the church, and also
to parody the Christian fish symbol. These images are often used in Pastafarian
propaganda, which is also the church s main source of income. The language of the
Church is rather unique. Pastafarians almost entirely agree that the more someone
talks using pirate lingo, the more devout a believer they are. Because of this, one of
the Church s few holidays is International Talk Like A Pirate Day, which is celebrated
on September 19th. They also end all prayers, official or invented, with the phrase R
Amen (sometimes written rAmen), as something of a spoof of the phrase Amen .
While an argument could be made that the Church is a counter culture for their desire
to keep intelligent design and other religious teaching out of schools, the Church is
definitively a subculture. They are simply a group of like minded people who have
banded together in their attempts to improve the

The television show was a great idea and extremely successful and doing more

with the lines of amateurs getting trained or even celebrity fights would be
something they could put on TV. In 2007, UFC were able to buy World Extreme
Cagefighting (WEC) and Pride Fighting Championships, two rival MMA
promotional companies. These acquisitions were huge for UFC because it allowed
them to expand their weight classes, and also with PRIDE being shut down, UFC
was that much closer to controlling the industry and making UFC s name
synonymous with the sport of MMA. This was all part of their company strategy in
controlling the market, and securing their market dominance. Their dominance was

the PRIDE fighters felt they were being mistreated and did not join UFC. Pride was

they were being too aggressive and taking themselves away from that opportunity.

Inside Composing Essay
Composing is something that goes to some as an ability, yet others as a burden. It
s only a unique little something where you either have it, or you don t. Inside
composing, one can express their sentiments and feelings through mind blowing
subtle elements. The pursuer can grasp the subtle elements inside a story, to where
it practically feels as though they are living it themselves. Composing can be an
unwinding strategy for around, a method for communicating feelings for others, or
just essentially charming. Is it workable for one to improve as an essayist inside a

The Red Baron is a film directed by Nikolai Muellerschoen and produced by Niama
Film which was released on April 10, 2008 but wasn t released in the US until
March 19, 2010. This movie was based on a legendary German pilot who fought
and died in World War 1. This pilot was known as Manfred von Richthofen. I
believe that this film was nicely put together, the plot kept its viewers engaged and
wanting to see what would happen next. In this essay I will be giving a brief
explanation on the film and why it is or is not accurate and whether the producer
did it on purpose or by mistake. At the beginning of the movie which takes place in
1906, Manfred is still a child. As a kid Manfred is out hunting with his younger
brother Lothar von Richthofen and younger cousin, Wolfram Freiherr von
Richthofen. Suddenly the sound of an airplane flying nearby flies over them.
Amazed, Manfred jumps on his horse and follows the airplane with his arms spread
out as though they were the wings of a plane themselves. This foreshadows him
becoming a pilot in the future. After this scene the movies jumps ten years into the
future which happens to be during World War 1. After the ten years have passed
Manfred is a Lieutenant and is serving as a fighter pilot for the Imperial German Air
Service. Lieutenant Richthofen is shown flying along the Western front where they
drop a wreath over the funeral of an Allied pilot. On his way back home with his
friends and fellow pilots Werner Voss, Lieutenant

subsequently, placed in charge of the Retirement Division. Two months later, he was

Subsequently as a leader in the organization, James experienced problems from
employees due to the lack of power and influence in his unstructured role within the
organization and mistakes made in his immature leadership approach.
The problems from employees persisted due to James lack of power and influence
in the organization as a leader. According to Bethel University (2011), leaders who
can reward and punish followers may have a greater capacity to influence followers
than those leaders who cannot use rewards or punishments (p. 107). As a leader and
manager in the organization, James acceded to two management positions offered by
vice president of marketing, Eric Johnson, without any clarity of his legitimate,
reward, and coercive powers. Collectively, these powers would have revealed James
authority of position, ability to influence with rewards, and the ability to influence
others with disciplinary action (Bethel University, 2011). James powers and position
in the organization was realized when he asked Eric for a part time secretary. And,
even more, when he became infuriated with a supervisor after asking her
subordinates (two clerks) for administrative assistance without prior approval. The
supervisor refused to assist and impolitely questioned his ability to perform his duties
and stated, ...it is your job, causing James to report the situation to Eric (Bethel
University, 2011, p. 144).

true during 1920 1930s when the United States and other countries across the
globe were going through an economic depression. The working class was going
through arguably their worst phase and a new class of social realists had arisen
which blamed the capitalists for the conditions of the working class. This paper

simple key techniques to create instant rapport and influence others. This could have

Three central techniques for dealing with people: Don t criticize, condemn or

should understand the others. Carnegie explains that, Criticism is futile because it

Analysis Of Donald J. Trump s Looking Glass Self
Donald J. Trump s tax returns, and his 3.7 billion net worth, was once the reason
he was critiqued in the media. Once his political career commenced, the media
satisfied the audience s thirst to revise candidate Trump s history of privilege and
business skills (and how he got them), to such an extent that the election of 2016
was almost omnipresent. I reexamined the sociological aspects in Tremonti s CBC
session with David Cay Johnston. Johnston s stance is that Trump is a no good
manager, and that he will not be a good president. Charles Horton Cooley s Looking
Glass Self, explains how Trump became the man he is today. Lastly, Trump s extreme
self regard creates untrustworthy relations, which will be fatal for America s
businesses and trades.
Synopsis
In CBC s podcast, Johnston exclaims that [if] Trump ran the U.S. economy like he
does his business, the U.S. would have terrible, terrible problems. Investigator and
expert in US economics, David Johnson meant to study the spread of casino gambling
when he went to Atlantic City. There, he met Donald Trumpand began to investigate
his taxes instead. Over the years he was able to collect tens of thousands of Trump
s papers. All of those records are strong evidence that Trump pays very little taxes,
or none at all. Johnston s CBC podcast was live on Thursday, September 29, 2016,
when the idea of Trump becoming president was seemingly inconceivable.
Unfortunately for many, as of November 8th, 2016, Trump became
The Ethical Issues in Hamlett by William Shakespeare
Hamlet is one of the most well known and renown plays in the history of theatrics.
It s known for its ethical issues, gender discrimination and many other themes
throughout the play. In fact it s filled with themes such as Morality, Revenge,
Deceit, and Family. Hamlet is such a great play because of how its many themes are
intricately woven into the plot creating a fabulous storyline filled with tragedy.
Revenge is a dish best served cold, being one of the biggest themes in the play, at its
Hamlets biggest goal in the play. From the very start Hamlet was out seeking
revenge over his father s death. He wanted to kill Claudius because Claudius killed
his father, in an effort to become king himself. Hamlet then becomes obsessed with
seeking vengeance, going so far as to fake madness in order to prove that Claudius
is truly guilty for his father s murder... Along with Revenge comes Hamlet s streak
of Madness, He feigns madness almost like a tool at his disposal. Hamlet first uses
the illusion of his madness as a way of proving Claudius s guiltiness. His madness
acts as an excuse so that he can get away with strange behavior, and he won t be
held accountable for his actions. He feigns madness for so long that his depression
over his father s death and his mother s remarriage pushes him into a madness
which is not faked but rather quite real. He goes as far as to consider suicide. To be
or not to be, that is the question: Whether tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings

Giant is one of the largest retailers in Malaysia. Giant store was founded by the
Teng family in 1944. The store started as a simple grocery store in one of the

wide range of food products at lowest prices as possible. As years gone by the store

recognized that the leading to Giant s success had been its capability to continuously

Laboratory 7: Environmental Effects on Enzyme Activity
BI 185 03
BY
Charlie Kane
10/24/17
Abstract
During this experiment we tested the effects that specific environmental conditions
have on the enzyme, peroxidase. Through this experiment we developed an
understanding of enzymes and their functions. By exposing the enzymes to different
environments, we observed a changed in their activity. In order for us to measure
these changes we used the technique of spectrophotometry, meaning we used a
spectrophotometer, which measures the amount of light a chemical can absorb. In
our findings we discovered that certain environmental factors such as pH, temperature
, boiling do have an affect on enzyme activity. In conclusion the five null hypothesis
were proven to be incorrect.
Introduction
Enzymes are biological catalysts that carry thousands of chemical reactions that occur
in living cells. They could be found in every living thing. Enzymes increase the rate at
which chemical reactions occur. A catalyst speeds up a chemical reaction by lowering
the activation energy required. They are proteins made up of several amino acids.
Each enzyme is different due to its structure, it all has different amino acid sequence.
An enzymes ability to function depends on it s environment. These factors include
temperature, denaturation, pH, the size , the shape, and the amount of enzymes
present. Enzymes performs best at ph7. That is the same pH as blood , the more
enzymes stray away from pH7 the weaker it becomes , the active site gets damaged.
This makes the enzyme not active, no longer functional. When it comes to
temperature enzymes at a certain temperature have maximum activity. As temperature
increases the enzyme activity also increases. When enzymes reach their maximum
activity level and the temperature is still increasing it will start to decline
(denaturation). The rate of reaction also depends on how much enzymes are present.
We tested 5 hypothesis which were the amount of enzyme does not alter the rate of a
reaction. pH does not influence the rate of an enzyme reaction. Temperature does not
influence the rate of an enzyme activity. Boiling an enzyme before a reaction does
not influence enzyme activity. The

Developing a meaningful purpose in life, is a very strong driving force that can often
be underestimated. Without a purpose, living can easily become mere existence.

Happily, he would have [...] if their old life was ever restored to them, nothing would

Not many people would be prepared to give up their passion impromptu, like Mr.

Hosokawa s relationship with Roxanne Coss, may have been the primary factor in
his transformation throughout the novel; considering the fact that in the beginning
of the novel his passion lies in opera. Roxanne is the physical embodiment of opera
in the eyes of Mr. Hosokawa and many others, and being able to listen to Roxanne
Coss perform every day served as a catalyst in the transformation that changed his
overall perspective on life.
Gen Watanabe is another characterthat undergoes a transformation through a
relationship in the novel. Gen is introduced to the audience as a simple translator
who works for Mr. Hosokawa, yet he initially finds it difficult to express his thoughts
and emotions on his own:
Gen, in his genius for languages, was often at a loss for what to say when left with
only his own words. If Mr. Hosokawa had still been sitting there he might have said
to Gen, Go and see what that girl wants, and Gen would go and ask her without
hesitation. It had occurred to him in his life that he had the soul of a machine and
was only capable of motion when someone else turned the key. He was very good
at working and he was very good at being by himself. Sitting alone in his apartment
with books and tapes, he would pick up languages [...] but it was hardly the same
thing as being able to approach a person who was looking at you intently from across

Smartphones And Its Impact On South Korea
In addition to all the factors mentioned above, there are also other information that
will be important for OnePlus. First and foremost, the range of screen size for a
majority of smartphones in South Korea are within the range of 4.7 5.5 inches and
iPhone 6 is said to be one of the smartphone with the smallest screen size which is
4.7 inches as compared to the usual size of other brands which is 5.0 inches. The
demand for smartphoneswith screen size of at least 5.5 inches has increased and
accounted for 24% volume share of total smartphones in the year of 2016. Besides,

with the evidence found.
Primary Activities
Inbound logistics Carl Pei, the director of OnePlus global has mentioned that the
invitation system that they have was more about managing their inventory because
ordering too much upfront will give them a negative impact. By doing so, they will
be able to manage the amount of devices that they sell to consumers and therefore
their logistic support team will get the chance to catch up. Additionally, according to
Tam and Messmer (2015), OnePlus has been able to eliminate cost of location rents,
staff and etc which could actually cost them up to 35% of the final price of their
smartphones.
Operation After releasing OnePlus 3, The best value for money smartphone for this
year, OnePlus surprisingly decided to announced the upgraded version of OnePlus 3
which is OnePlus 3T just after five months after they released it (Chakraborty, 2016)
Outbound logistics According to Bacon (2016), instead of using intermediary retail
partners OnePlus managed to keep their cost low by selling it directly to their
consumer online. As a result, in year 2016, OnePlus has shipped to over 34 countries.
Therefore on September, OnePlus has announced their plan about allowing pre order
for their One phone on October. However, as OnePlus move forward to the India and
Australia market, they started to explore potential partnerships
Bible 104 Worldview Essay
The book of Judges introduces us to the long years of Israel s struggle to maintain
control of the Promised Land and serves as the transition from the conquest to the
kingdom. It deals with events following Joshua s death (c. 1380 BC)
The main body of the story revolves around six cycles of apostasy, repentance, and
deliverance. God intervenes time and again to rescue the struggling Israelites from
military oppression, spiritual depression, and ethnic annihilation.
The book of Judges derives its title from the Latin Liber Judicum, but the Hebrew
title is shophetim. The verbal form ( to judge ) describes the activity of the various
deliverers whom God used despite their personal challenges, oddities, or inadequacies

They introduce a series of contrasts between good and evil judges, plus faithful and
unfaithful kings. As 1 Samuel opens, the era of the judges is still in the forefront,
but it is fading fast. The leadership of Israel rests on the undisciplined and elderly
Eli, the high priest of the tabernacle at Shiloh and one of the last of the minor
judges (1 Sam 4:18). Throughout the early chapters of 1 Samuel, the author draws a
sharp contrast between Eli and his ungodly sons and the godly prophet Samuel. By
the middle of the book (1 Samuel 15 16), the same kind of contrast is drawn between
Saul and David.
In 2 Samuel the narrative shifts to the reign of David as he rises above Saul s son
Ish bosheth to become the king, first of Judah and then of all the tribes of Israel
(5:1 4). The book records David s wars of conquest including the capture of
Jerusalem and the relocation of the ark of the covenant to the City of David (6:1
19). But the author also records David s failures: his adultery with Bathsheba (11:1
26), Absalom s rebellion (15:1 18:30), Sheba s revolt (20:1 26), and the disastrous
census (24:1 25). Like all the prophetic writers, the author presents a portrait of his
historical figures from the perspective of their faithfulness to God s covenant.

Laws Affecting The Agency Of The United States Postal
Service
Laws Affecting The Agency
When it comes to The United States Postal Service, I did not think they would have
many court cases, especially dealing with diversity and mistreatment in the
workplace. During my research, however, I was proven wrong. The Postal Service
has had quite a few court cases, while many of them relate to ethical and
discriminatory issues. Individuals have felt that the Postal Service sometimes judge
applicants or workers by their lifestyle or ethnicity. This in turn shows bad
representation of personnel management. One case that shows proof of this is the
United States Postal Service v. Aikens. Harold Aikens, who was a black employee
of the USPS, opened a case against his job being that he felt he was not receiving
promotions because of his ethnicity. This is a direct violation of Title VII if found to
be true. According to the USPS, Aikens applied for a promotion for which he
possessed the minimum qualifications, and that the employer selected a nonminority
applicant, the parties and the Court of Appeals have unnecessarily evaded the
ultimate question of discrimination... (Bartholet 1982). Ultimately, the court upheld
that Aikens did not in fact present a valid prima faci case, which the plaintiff creates
a belief that the employer discriminated against him, and have evidence that backs
up his claim. Due to the failure to prove that he was being discriminated against due
to his race, the case did not go in his way. Regardless of the judgement, this
Socialism And Social Problems In Upton Sinclair s The
Jungle
Truly understanding the conditions of an immigrant s life during the Gilded Age is
a feat of remarkable magnitude for us who live such amazing lives today, but Upton
Sinclair s The Jungle achieves this astonishing task by describing the tortuous lives
of Jurgis and his family as they toil to simply survive the insurmountable debts and
problems society has placed upon them. Sinclair enthralls the reader with this story
of small joys that are quickly overshadowed by depression, death, and anger. He
effectively builds relationships between this small Lithuanian family which seems to
be desperately fending off the whole world and the reader who just wants the best for
them. The Jungle also details the conflicting opinions between the wealthy and the
poor and the growing movement of socialismin America. While I do not agree with
his idea of using socialism as a solution for the problems many immigrants have
faced, Upton Sinclair has crafted a thrilling tale that successfully expresses the lives
of immigrants during the Gilded Age and the amount of dangers they constantly
faced. The Jungle begins with Jurgis Rudkus, our main character who is a recent
Lithuanian immigrant, getting married in Chicago. After his marriage, Jurgis and
several of his relatives find work in Packingtown, a section of Chicago where meat
industry is king. His family rents a shoddy house forcing more of them to find work
in Packingtown. After he joins a union, he begins to see the political corruption that

The event which we had to reenact involved a well established neighborhood and a
church working with mentally ill patients. The church wanted to allow the facility
to keep the mentally ill patients at the church for the majority of the day. The
problem the neighborhood had with this plan was that the crime rate had already
increased and now these patients increase it further. If the facility for the mentally
ill did not monitor them well enough they could then roam the neighborhood
unsupervised. Our professor s goal for the opposing groups was to come to a
common ground in regards to allowing the mentally ill patients to stay at the church.
As part of the facilitation our professor created an agenda on the board for the class
where we would talk about interest, individual positions. Secondly, our professor
explained the ground rules one rule being to wait to be recognized. We also could not
talk to the press about the events occurring within the facilitation. Next each person in
my group explained their relation to the neighborhood. While my partners were
explaining their expectations the professor was charting our comments on the agenda
written on the white board. After we finished introducing who we were, we then
moved on to explaining our positions. Some of the positions for the neighborhood
included our worry about loud music and a crime increase due to the mentally ill
facility. Afterwards our professor explained for the neighborhood our main interest
was the safety of the neighborhood. On the other hand the interest of the church was
the inclusion of the mentally ill. Throughout the rest the facilitation both groups
asked each other pertaining the objections from each side. The church wanted to
allow the mentally ill to stay at the church; while the neighborhood was unsure if was
a good idea. Lastly, after we exchanged questions we then explained our

The Features of Inka Culture
Inka Culture Inka, was a community that used to live in the area of Cuzco, which
is located about 10,000 feet in the mountains of Southern Peru. The word inka
means ruler . The state inka was created during the time of wars. Inka s population
was 800,000km squared in 1438. Their wars were pretty big back in the days, they
had around 200,000 soldiers, which of course was considered the largest and best
armed in the region. Their transportation was walking through the highways
because they had no cars to transport to their wars. They also carried their supplies
on the backs of llamas. Once they settled down and marked their territories for their
troops, they were instructed in the Quechua language. The Quechua language
became the lingua franca of the state (Duiker 177). The inka culture did not have a
writing system, instead they recorded their communications by a knotted string
called quipu . This was able to record numerical nature and whatever they needed to
communicate, instead they just memorized it and then recite it when needed. Even
though they had a lack of writing system, they still had a high level of cultural
achievement. They had a highly developed tradition, also some poetry and music.
Apparently the Inka Empire was destroyed by the Spanish culture by a very
heartless way. The Spanish Fransisco Pizarro stole over 280,000 kg of gold from the
Inka. He also destroyed and prohibited everything of native religions and culture but

Essay On Left Circumflex Blockage
The left circumflex artery, which branches from the left coronary artery, supplies
blood to the lateral and posterior wall of the left ventricle. Patients who have a
blockage of the left circumflex artery are less common than the right coronary artery.
With a left circumflex blockage, the prehospital provider will see that there is
posterior damage done to the heart; which is where performing a right sided posterior
electrocardiogram on a patient will be helpful (this method will be discussed later).
The blockage affects the left ventricle of the heart which means that there will be a

SAMPLE is a popular acronym among many prehospital providers to quickly gain
information about the patient. The SAMPLE acronym stands for: Signs/Symptoms,
Allergies, Medications, Past medical history, Last intake/output, and Events leading

the pain that is being experienced while the patient is in the prehospital providers
care. The acronym used for the investigation of pain is OPQRST which stands for:
Onset (events prior to when the pain started), Provocation (does anything make it
better or worse), Quality (description of the pain), Radiation (does the pain radiate
anywhere), Severity (usually the 1 10 scale is used to determine how bad the pain
is) and Time (how long the pain has been present). The most important thing to
remember is that everyone experiences things differently and that no every patient
that has an inferior MI will present the same. It is important to investigate the chest
pain when it is present. With cardiac chest pain the sensation is usually non
reproducible (Page, 12 Lead ECG for Acute and Critical Care Providers), which is
crucial to the complete assessment of the

Hurricane Sandy Breakthrough

Hurricane Sandy was a devastating storm nicknamed The Frankenstorm . The
Frankenstorm happened from October 19 October 31. Hurricane Sandy was very
catastrophic and damaged lots of properties. The cost of repairs was billions of
dollars. Hurricane Sandy is the second most costly hurricane behind hurricane Katrina

Hurricanes are large gusts of wind that are concentrated usually in a spiral. There are
three different types of this storm: cyclones, hurricanes and typhoons. Why The
Frankenstorm is called a hurricane is because hurricanes happen in and around the
Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. While the others (Typhoons and cyclones) happen in
other parts of the world in other oceans. Hurricanes are the biggest storms and do
more damage than all of the other storms. The season of these devastating natural
disasters are from June 1st to November 30. If you live near the coast of the
Atlantic or Pacific Oceans make sure you are prepared with the tips that will be

only a few hours, when some last over 3 weeks. Hurricane are named on a six year
rotation of male and female names. These names include Ivan, Katrina, Sandy and

Hurricanes form in a quite interesting way. These storms only form above bodies of

Loyalist Or Patriot Analysis
Shall I be Loyalist or Patriot? After the victory towards French in the Seven Years
War, the political and social relationship of the colonists and Great Britain had
shifted to a different direction. The colonists began to think of themselves as
Americans. At that time, The British government felt that the colonies had become
quite independence, and they wanted their colonies to start paying tax in order to
help England pay the national debt. Not only were Americans forced to pay direct
taxes, but they were also obliged to involve in strict regulatory acts such as Sugar
Act and Currency Act. Sugar Act (1764) strongly affected American s trading in
which their oceanic vessels and cargos could be inspected by the British Navy and
might be confiscated if the paper and the goods that being transported were in
disagreement. Currency Act (1764) restricted colonial governments to print their own
paper money. These two acts put some colonists in anger but they were not enough to
result in civil disorder until the Stamp Act was passed. The reason that the colonists
resisted government authority with the passage of the Stamp Act (1765) was because
the Stamp Act collected taxes in all type of papers including newspapers, playing

Religious spaces, characterized by Thomas Tweed, are differentiated, interrelated,
and kinetic. As a sacred city with spiritual significance in three major religions,
Jerusalem is depicted thoroughly in the Hebrew Bible and illustrated as one of the
spaces Tweed defines. The Bible emphasizes that Jerusalemwas chosen by God and
honored by Israelites, which differentiates it as a special, singular space; the
description of Solomon s Temple shows that the Holy City was interrelated to
economic power and involved in the judgment of civil cases. Moreover, the conquest,
development and destruction of Jerusalem illustrate the city as a kinetic space,
reflecting the unsettled history of the Iron Age. These characteristics all make
Jerusalem a religious and political center from the ancient Near East time to present
day, guiding the footsteps of believers around the world.
In his essay Space , Thomas Tweed characterizes spaces for religious practices as
differentiated locales that are sensually encountered and imaginatively figured.
They are more or less special, singular, or set apart from undifferentiated or
unnamed generic places (Tweed 2011: 119). He also states that spaces are always
interrelated with nature and with culture, and they are shaped by political processes,
social relations and economic forces. Furthermore, defining religions as confluence
of organic cultural flows about dwelling and crossing, about finding a place and
moving across
Laura Ingalls Wilder Research Paper
Have you ever wondered about how people lived in the late 1800s in America?
Historians aren t the only ones who can teach you about those times. Laura Ingalls
Wilder lived in those days and experienced all of the joys, pain and hardship of living
the pioneer life. She decided to write about her experiences later in life, and those
writings became famous for providing a window into what life was like then. This
paper will detail the life of Laura Ingalls Wilderand her contributions to literature and
recording american history as the writer of the Little House book series.
Laura Ingalls Wilder had a very colorful childhood on the edge of civilization in the
late 1800s. According to Notable Biographies, a website, almost 150 years ago ...

According to A Little House Sampler, she made her husband Almanzo wait three
years before agreeing to marry him ( 37). Her family had many hardships. A Little
House Sampler says that her husband was partially disabled by diphtheria, and her
baby boy died in 1888 ( 3). A turning point in Laura s life is when her house burned
down in 1890 according to Laura Ingalls official website. In 1894 the Wilders
bought a 200 acre farm in the Ozarks of Mansfield, Missouri (website). Wilder s
official website elaborates saying that Laura, along with her husband Almanzo and
daughter Rose, moved to Rocky Ridge farm near Mansfield Missouri in 1894. By
the mid 1920s Wilder and her husband were doing little of their own
farming...,which allowed her to spend most of her time writing (Notable

suggests Notable Biographies website, it was a big turning point in her life. Rocky
Ridge farm was Laura s last home, and it is where she wrote the Little House books,
according to Wilder s Official website. Wilder was seventy six years old when she
finished the final book in her Little House series (Notable
The Total Cost And Total Duration Of A Project Manager
In real situation, a project manager would certainly attempt to reduce total cost and
total duration of a project. Therefore, the best amount of leveling may occur when
both the total cost and the total duration are minimised. Generally, the total cost of a
project will greatly depended on the total duration. In other words, in most cases, a
plan with minimum total project duration will stand for the best amount of
leveling. The best amount of leveling should take a balanced view with concern about
the client s demands, the project objects and the availability of different types of
resources. For single resource, in small projects, their resource could be leveled by
inspection; in larger projects is to select a target maximum for a resource. Moreover,
when dealing with multiple resources, managers should decide which resource
should be leveled first, i.e., largest fluctuating resources, resource with largest
penality, high cost equipment. Other resource leveling method include extending the
project duration, compressing activities, and splitting activities.
Although it is ideal to have each task started and finished in the earliest period, this
situation may not be found in real cases. In most of time, the resource required to
launching multiple tasks is greater than the maximum available resources.
Consequently, some tasks have to be delayed to start after others are finished.
The steps of resource leveling are dramatically. As the previous figure shown above,
each task
Graceland History
Graceland Over the illustrious history of the campus some of the buildings uses
have changed, or have been restored and changed around. One of the most known
buildings to have its history changed is the grand old Graceland mansion. Each of
the numerous 22 buildings on campus have different uses and an exciting history
behind them. Graceland is no different from its beginnings in 1893 to current uses on
campus in 2015. In 1893, Graceland housed Senator Henry Gassaway Davis. It was a
more modern mansion for its time, being that Senator Davis had his hand in
designing the colonial mansion. At that time he had it designed in such a fashion that
used many other cultural designs to make this 19th century home. During the early

The grand ole Graceland build in 1893 still stands today in 2015. It, along with the
other buildings on campus have its share of historic moments. It truly is a symbol of
what college students should be, mighty, strong, wise, forceful, and persistent. Its
values along with many others is what shape the actual foundation of the mansion
itself. As time has progressed on, in a little town in eastern West Virginia
, it is as
though time has taken a halt. In Elkins West Virginianestled in the mountain tops a
small community on a hill does its best to preserve history the best way it possibly

Literary Analysis Of Rene Magritte s The Son Of Man
Part of human nature is to find faces in images whether they are supposed to be
there or not. So, Rene Magritte purposely made the face unseeable behind the
apple. In his painting, there is more than what meets the eye. The way in which he
executed the piece is simple yet it still makes those who see the art wonder what it
represents. As like any artwork, successes and failures can be found in Magritte s
art and how well it portrays the meaning behind the piece. The Son of Man when
examined closer, can be more interesting than one might think. Representation lies
in every form of art. There is the literal representation, and there is the abstract
figurative way of viewing. Simply, the painting shows a man with an apple in
front of his face and a storm taking place behind him. Many think the fruit is
referencing the tale of William Tell in which he shot an apple off his son s head.
Since in Magritte s painting the fruit is floating in front of him, this alludes to him
about to be shot in the face. Others quickly think religion inspired the work. The
Son of Man sounds eerily close to Son of Man, which is Jesus title. Also, the green
fruit could be from the famous tale of the Garden of Eden where Eve took a bite
from an apple and committed the first sin. Neither of these are wrong, but Rene
Magritte states, Well so you have the apparent face, the apple, hiding the visible but
hidden, the face of a person... There is an interest in that which is hidden and which
the visible
Realism In The Lumiere Brothers
Realism is the artistic attempt to recreate life as it is in the context of an artistic
medium. It began as a revolt against the conventions of the classic view of art in the
late 1800s in America and Europe in the form of an artistic movement (McConnel, R.
1997). There are many themes involved with realismthat shall be discussed. These
include accuracy and independence.
Realists attempt to portray the illusion that their film world has not been manipulated
and is almost like a mirror to the real world. Their techniques are different to those
of any other film. They try to make the film seem as real and as close to normal life
as possible by using natural lighting instead of special lighting equipment, they also
mostly use hand held cameras and employ non professional actors to really uphold
this realistic image.
The Lumiere Brothers were the pioneers of realism through films as they ... Show

The depiction of subjects is always absolutely accurate to reinforce the portrayal of
real life and is void of any unnecessary artistic embellishment (Vaux, R. 2014). A
technique that is used is filming done on locations rather than sets to properly
portray the feel of real life. Events are not euphemized or hyperbolized to become a
distortion or opinion of the truth. Unpleasant images, words and events are portrayed
in full with no hidden facts, as well as plain images, words or events.
A realist film that shows great accuracy is the war film All Quiet on the Western
Front. The storyline incorporates just enough action to inform viewers that it is a
war movie and at the same time it also embodies many other aspects such as the
politics, emotions and hype involved with the war (Ronald, R. 2013). This gives the
viewer a more accurate view as all aspects of the war are covered. Throughout the
film we see that real locations have been chosen to enhance the realistic vision and
accuracy of the film.
Examples Of Hallucination In Donnie Darko
Hallucination from The Past Based on my understanding on the movie I have
watched, I think Donnie Darko was a typical high school guy who wanted to
reminiscent his past life so that he could correct what he did wrong before. He
wanted to fix it properly at the same time to learn the truth if after life existed. Do
you think we could go back to our past life? If so, then can we fix our mistakes and
correct it properly? Well! These questions might be a puzzled to everybody because
as far as we or I concerned there was no record ever stated in the history that people
have a chance to go back their past life. Going back from the past life would be the
effect of hallucination or cognitive impairment because now a days as people are
skeptical, they need proof to believe if this would really existed. Besides it would be
impossible to go back to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So one thing he hope for was to believe in God, that God would help him to find an
answer or perhaps, God does a magical thing for him to go back to his past life.
Unfortunately, it would be impossible to go back to his past life and besides no one
ever successfully recorded in the history to the attempt of going back to the past life.
So I believed Donnie Darko was mentally distress and has a hallucination because
in the movie it shows that his loved ones died and he left emotionally distress.
Therefore, due to Donnie s distress he felt he wanted to go back to his past life to
correct what he did wrong. Also, almost at the end of the movie where sitting takes
place it shown that they drove into the mountain and they see where the sky opened
up. They could go back into the past life without encountered a problem. I think the
setting of the movie Donnie Darko was just a work of evolutionary thought that
creates a magical reference for the viewers. Also to puzzle s viewers mind what was
like the magical imagination are all
Against Gay Marriage
So many people in America and around the world are against Gay Marriage and
Gay Rights in general. Why can t the LGBT community feel comfortable with who
they are? Also, why can t people around the world be happy for them? Why is
being gay wrong if it s something that makes that person happy? It upsets me how
much cruelty there is around us, especially with people who want to love others of
the same gender as them. Honestly if someone is a part of the LGBTcommunity it is
perfectly fine in my opinion. If you judge a person for being themselves before
getting to know them first, then don t get mad if decides to judge you. Everyone
should be able to live their lives the way they what to instead of worrying what
people think of you and what they might call you.... Show more content on

What doesn t make sense is why can t people be happy for them? Being gay doesn t
affect the world in a negative way. It s not like if you re gay you re a threat to
society, you just love who you love. I think all consenting adults who want to
commit to a life partner ought to be treated the same way. (John Stossel). This
quote from this author is really well said and I agree with it. If everyone was
treated the same and not judge other people for who they are then there would be
less hate in the world. Even though in religions it is frowned upon for two people
of the same gender to get married, it is still the union of two souls, whether it be
man and man, woman and woman, or man and woman an expression of love and
commitment to each other as well as the rest of the world. (Carrie Gilleand). I also
agree with this statement because love is love no matter who you end up loving
whether it be the same gender or
Questions On Managerial Cultural Intelligence
4.Analysis of the results
The analysis section is divided into the main themes and subthemes to meet the
research objectives. The findings are compared to the existing literature.
Research objective 1: To investigate the CQ level of the managers according to the
four factors model and to define how their previous international background
influences their CQ.
4.1.Managerial cultural intelligence
Metacognitive component. This component refers to the ability to adapt behavior to
the situation and to acquire cultural knowledge. Almost all managers use consciously
their cultural knowledge in cross cultural communication, they travel a lot and pay
much attention to cultural sensitivities. They also adjust their cultural knowledge
during cross cultural interaction and check its accuracy beforehand. Simultaneously,
they enjoy communication with people from different cultures and look for such
communication purposefully, either related to the learning of foreign languages or
their personal interests:
I travel a lot and I work with different cultures in different roles that I have, not just
within SEMrush, and I m very conscious of cultural sensitivities whenever I travel
for business or personal reasons, I pay a lot of attention to how to act and speak and
not just be who I am in general . (Participant 4)
It s difficult to divide one s stereotypes and perceptions from the essence of things.
For example, I know a lot about Korean culture as I wrote a dissertation on this
Special Forces Soldiers Used in Book, The Ugly American
by...
Special Forces soldiers work in foreign lands with situations which are not always
completely clear from its beginning. The Special Operation Imperatives serve as the
base for success by providing the framework to develop and assist the host nation in
achieving their desired goals. Through this essay I will use the novel The Ugly
American(William J. Lederer Eugene Burdick) to provide context to the benefits of
applying such imperatives and the consequences of improper application. I will bring
to light the actions of the characters and depict the reasons why the application of the
imperative made the character succeed or fail in his desired goal.
The first character that I will discuss is Honorable Louis Sears, American

He informed the prince that he personally did not care about the resemblance to him
in the picture, but proclaiming that it hurt relations between the two countries. The
prince, aware of Sears shallowness, directed a positive article to be published in order
to relieve tensions.
A third failure in understanding the operational environment occurred when Sears
coordinated the delivery of rice from Haidho to the stricken area in Sarkhan. His
lack of understanding of the Sarkhanese and communist tactics was reciprocated by
his subordinates. The latter became evident when the rice bags were labeled as if
coming from the communists and no USIS employee realized what it meant. In
addition, there was no effort from US employees to talk or interact with locals at the
destination. The confusion led the Sarkhanese to believe that the rice bags in fact
were provided by the communists.
A good description of Sears failure in understanding the operational environment was
provided by Ambassador Louis Krupitzyn on his report to Moscow. Krupitzyn wrote
how Sears kept his subordinates away from the Sarkhanese and didn t allow them to
go into the hills. This disconnect between the American employees and the
Sarkhanese provided Moscow with the ability to freely connect with the population
and turn the table
The Island Of Dr. Moreau Religion
Science and Religion in The Island of Dr. Moreau
The Island of Dr. Moreau depicts the dueling concepts between science and religion.
Throughout the Victorian Era within which H.G. Wells novel was written, turmoil
between science and religion was at its peak. New scientific theories were proposed
including Darwinism, which H.G. Wells strongly advocated as witnessed in his
book. Many Christians opposed these findings as these new ideas often disproved
what was written in the Bible. Therefore, a divide was created amongst Christians and
scientists, the basis of the material introduced in The Island of Dr. Moreau. Due to
opposing conflict between science and religion, Wells proposes the solution that rules
separate humanity from animals. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Wells articles... is whether ordinary people should be allowed to know the facts
and should discuss their implications (Woolf 498). This excerpt is a prime example
of the division between science and religion that was occurring throughout the time
period within this book was written. Many people began to support Wells in his
beliefs of scientific principles such as Darwinism. However, there were those who
strongly dejected it and even became hostile that those scientific ideas were
available to the public. The reason the ideas were so easily accessible were because
of literary interpretation in controversial books such as The Island of Dr. Moreau.
One interpretation in The Island of Dr. Moreau was that Moreau is a scientific God.
Dr. Moreau and God display many of the same characteristics when comparing the
Bible to H.G. Wells novel. They are both depicted as invisible, but still there
watching. This is shown in The Island of Dr. Moreau as Wells has written, You
cannot see him. But he can see you. Fear the law, (Wells 163). In the Bible a
similar dialog is written, The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil
and the good, (The Holy Bible 378). Both texts also describe the two characters as
healing and wounding. In Wells novel it is written, His is the Hand that
Starbucks Promised For The Working Conditions
Last year, Starbucks promised that they would improve the working conditions
and scheduling of their employees, but the company has not lived up to their
promise yet. The managers want to keep labor costs as low as possible which has
resulted in understaffing and making employees work long days, sometimes even
making them close one night and open the next morning, which is known as a
clopening . Autonomy, one of the most important job characteristics of motivation,
seems to be very low in this situation for multiple reasons. First, the workers are not
able to choose their own work schedule, the company provides them with when
they are scheduled to work. This alone decreases motivation, but the fact that some
workers are scheduled for clopenings further lowers their autonomy. Most workers
would not mind opening or closing as long as they do not have to do both back to
back. One way to fix this would be to allow workers to choose their own schedules.
If Starbucks used an online scheduling program where every worker could input what
times they wanted to work over the next two weeks or so, employees would be much
happier with their schedules. The workers would have a minimum and maximum
amount of hours they could work in the given time period, a minimum and maximum
amount of employees that could work at the same time, and a minimum shift length.
This scheduling process could also ensure that no employee performs a clopening if
it is
Implementing A Successful Cross Training Program Essay
CREATING AND IMPLEMENTING A SUCCESSFUL CROSS TRAINING
PROGRAMBefore developing a cross training program, we need to plan
accordingly. Not all employees need to be trained in all positions. We need to
cross train a little at a time as there is no need to cross train all our employees at the
same time. I suggest creating a formal job rotation program. We could reduce the
workload during the training process since it will take the new person longer to
perform the task until their individual proficiency is reached. This reduced
workload will help employees feel less resentful that they are being required to do
more work. Lastly, we must remember that employees don t retain the cross
training skills forever and must be re trained periodically. The following questions
need to be addressed: How will we communicate the strategy to employees;
especially those employees who for various reasons may not be the best fit for cross
training? What are the positions within the organization should be targeted for a
cross training initiative? Which employees are ready to be cross trained and how
will we determine who will be cross trained? In order to answer these questions, we
must examine the following.Communication. We need to introduce to the employees
the benefits of cross training. Explain to them that will be learning new skills that can
help them grow. We must be sure to explain that the reason for cross training is not to
eliminate positions, but to increase their overall development
Eula Biss s Time And Distance Overcome
In todayВґs society we are constantly informed about the massive technological
development, which is taking place every day. The majority of people think that the
technological development is amazing. However, maybe the development of the
telephone was not quite a great invention at the end of the day, as this text portrays.
In Time and Distance Overcome (2008), Eula Biss (born in approx. 1977) gives an
account of how the telephoneovercame time and distance back then. The essay
depicts the skeptical people, and the consequences from erecting the telephone poles
to the crucifixions.
Eula Biss began her research for this essay by searching for every instance of the
phrase telephone pole in the New York Times newspaper from 1880 to 1920, which...

As the many crucifixions are stated, Biss tells a personal story about her
grandfather, who died when a telephone pole fell and crashed him, line 136 137. She
even tells about when she was younger and actually found telephone wires along the
roadways beautiful, line 138 140. However, her grandfatherВґs accident changed her
mind completely and to her; these poles do not seem beautiful or glorious any longer.
The authorВґs intentions by telling the story is to remind us, who applaud the way
technology has made our lives easier, about the terrible events that were connected to
the invention of the telephone, a tool which pretty much anyone depends on today. It
is clear that the tone of the text is subjective, as the author even uses a personal
experience, which occurred in her own life, line
The World Of International Studies
Research Narrative In the world of international studies there are many bias parties
and individuals as there are drastically differing viewpoints regarding hot topic
issues in the field. This makes for an exciting endeavor when conducting research on
topics such as Private Military Companies as all different types of political
personalities arise when such subjects are debated over. This characteristics of the
international relations area of study also becomes apparent when authors of scholarly
journals and public websites debate over fundamental issues of the aforementioned
subject, such as the different rules for engagement and fighting overseas. When
hunting for sources for this project, I found that the community of experts commonly

Christopher Kinsey wrote an incredibly informative article on the fundamentals of
Private Military and even touches on a few closely related issues, for example,
nuclear regulation was diccues twice through the article. Georgia Southern s library
website contain some very usful links and even some videos on techniques
regarding how to add diversity in a research paper. One such tip was to find two
different articles with completely opposite viewpoints and I believe the tactic to be
very useful. Another type of strategy that one can implement when conducting
research is to find an expert in the field and discusses their stance on the topic, it is
almost like them verbally writing you an entirely different source with a refreshing
perspective. One such expert is Dr. Lubecki. He was more than willing when asked
to be interviewed for this project. He explained that regarding private militaries,
they could start another major war, he used China as one excellent example, so it
is better to limit their use until they are fully regulated. The idea was one that
never appeared in any of the research for this project. The Power to Construct
International Security was a shorter academic article that was of different origin
than the other, this idea was suggested on the library website and has served as a
great tool for finding an array of articles. The last source is one from a famous and
reputable newspaper. I thought

Write An Essay For Me. Write my essay for me

  • 1. Write An Essay For Me Writing an essay on the topic "Write An Essay For Me" presents a unique challenge as it involves navigating the paradoxical nature of the prompt. The inherent complexity arises from the self-referential nature of the task – crafting an essay about the act of composing an essay. The challenge lies in striking a balance between maintaining a coherent narrative and addressing the inherent irony embedded in the request. The initial hurdle involves establishing a clear purpose and direction for the essay. Determining the scope of the discussion is crucial to avoid veering into tangential topics. Balancing the meta- commentary on the writing process with substantive content is a delicate task, requiring a nuanced approach to maintain reader engagement. The writer must grapple with the paradoxical demand for creativity within a seemingly restrictive framework. Striking a balance between adhering to the topic and injecting originality into the narrative is essential. This demands a high level of self-awareness, as the essay should reflect on the process of writing itself while delivering meaningful insights. Furthermore, the essayist must be cautious not to fall into the trap of redundancy. Repeating the same ideas about the challenge of writing an essay on this specific topic can quickly become tiresome for the reader. Variation in expression and the introduction of diverse perspectives are essential to keep the essay dynamic and engaging. Another layer of complexity arises from the potential for self-reference fatigue. Constantly addressing the act of writing an essay about writing an essay can lead to a recursive loop, making the essay feel circular and uninspired. Striking a delicate balance between self-reference and substantive content is essential to prevent the essay from becoming overly self-indulgent. In conclusion, composing an essay on the topic "Write An Essay For Me" involves a multifaceted challenge. Navigating the intricacies of self-reference, maintaining originality, and avoiding redundancy demand a careful approach. However, with a thoughtful strategy and a creative mindset, the essayist can overcome these challenges to produce a compelling and thought- provoking piece. If you find writing such essays daunting, similar tasks and more can be effortlessly handled by professionals. A variety of writing services, such as HelpWriting.net, offer assistance tailored to your specific needs, allowing you to navigate the intricacies of essay composition with ease. • 2. The Apache Indian Culture The Apache are a well known nomadic tribe that dominate Southwestern colonial America, as well as parts of Mexico. Fighting between the Native Americans and colonials have temporarily ceased. Our chief has sent me, along with a few warriors, to meet with a man named General George Washington in hopes of achieving peace between our people. Our chief describes these colonials as very close minded, as they rarely see other cultures aside from their own, and may view us as savages. To avoid further conflict, I must show the colonials our way of life and explain to them our culture in hopes of creating a bridge between our people and to possibly create a preverbal bridge of assimilation between us. Surely after viewing our way of politics and studying... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In 1686, the Apache were named the owners of all the buffalo plains. (Colin pg. 28) People don t live by meat alone, be that as it may. A few specialists believed that the Apache practiced agriculture when they touched base in the Southern Plains. Early Spanish records don t confirm that practice, and others trust that any broad farming endeavors started in the late nineteenth century. The Apache were not oblivious to the benefits of agriculture however, and there is evidence that a few crops had been grown by the eighteenth century: They each sow corn and beans near where the Spaniards live. While sporadic, these endeavors to grow corn proceeded, regularly centered around the region of the Toyah Creek conversion with the Pecos River in the Trans Pecos region. At the point when the Texasgovernment entertained the idea of building an Apache reservation in 1853, the zone they considered for the reservation was along this creek because the Apache had such a long relationship with. In Texas, the Lipan and Mescalero were also known to eat pecans, thorny pear fish, and agave when they were in
  • 3. Black Death And The Black Plague The Black Death, also known as the Black Plague, was one of the most deadliest diseases of all time. This disease came to Europe around 1347 C.E, by merchants from East Asia. The Black Plague then spread all across Europe, and killed over 25,000,000 people. The Black Death had its effect on many things. The peasant and noble differentiation was realized to be bogus, the belief in religious authorities came under question, and poor people actually benefited from the Black Death. After the epidemic declined there were a few outbreaks of the disease later on, but that also came to an end. Nevertheless, its impact lasted for centuries. The Middle Ages in Europe was from 500 to 1500 C.E. The Middle Ages consisted of population growth, developing existing ideas, and creating new ones. Before the Black Death spread to Europe in 1347 C.E, their was a massive increase in population. The population increased from 25,000,000 people to 75,000,000, between 950 and 1250 C.E. There was at least 80,000,000 people in Europe by the time the Black Death struck. There were also many economic developments to support the people living in Europe. Commerce, manufacturing and travel became more progressive, and many more towns were built, as well as cathedrals and mosques. But the drastically increasing population became to much to handle for the economy of Europe, that some people say the strike of the Black Death, causing millions of deaths, was a blessing. The origin of the Black Death was
  • 4. Analysis Of Saint Thomas Aquinas Third Way Essay 1.)Introduction In analyzing Saint Thomas Aquinas s Third Way I will first identify the structure of the argument and then I will define some terms that are vital in understanding the argument. Next I will state the premises and conclusion of his argument in my own words. Then I will identify an objection to premise one and finally I will attempt to articulate a rebuttal to that objection. St. Thomas Aquinas Third Way is a reductio ad absurdum argument. The structure of the modal cosmological argument first identifies a certain proposition and then disproves that proposition by showing an absurdity to which it leads when carried to its logical conclusion. St. Thomas uses three terms in his argument that are important to clarify: Possible: a statement that could happen regardless of how ridiculous it sounds. Necessity: that which must be actual Contingent: something which is possibly true or possibly false 2. Aquinas s Third Way 1.We find in nature some things that are contingent. 2.If there are things which are contingent then such things have not always been in existence 3.If everything is contingent then at one time there was nothing in existence. 4.If there was nothing in existence then there is nothing in existence now. 5.Such a statement is absurd because some things now exist. 6.Therefore, there must be something which exists out of necessity, namely God. 3. An Objection to Premise One Blessed John Duns Scotus states an objection to St. Thomas
  • 5. Incidents In The Life Of A Slave Girl Essay The slave narratives Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass by Frederick Douglass and Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl by Harriet Jones are similar but different in many ways. The narratives tell from the perspective of a man and woman the struggles of slavery and their journey to freedom. Their slave narratives help us to better comprehend the trials and tribulations that happened during slavery. The main difference between Douglass s and Jacobs narratives is their gender. Their gender has a direct impact on the experiences they had and how their got to their freedom. In Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl, Harriet Jones tells the story of Linda Brent, a young female slave whose focus is keeping her family safe and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This can be achieved by product line (menu options) extension or by entering international market outside the American continent so as to increase their geographical coverage. In addition, Panera has an opportunity to get additional market and growth by adapting rapidly to changing market and customer preferences. They need to advertise and market themselves as a healthy option for eating out. Health oriented food or food that are low in calories, sugar, cholesterol, etc. is getting very important as people started becoming very health conscious and selective. Their effort to roll out new products with fresher ingredients such as antibiotic free chicken needs to be further expanded. Recognizing the health risks associated with transfat, Panera had completely removed all transfat from its menu by 2006. Organic food, non GMO, etc. They could increase number of their franchises. A number of markets were still available for franchise development. The have opportunity in front of them to open more outlets, both company owned and franchises. They could open within North America and mainly in areas where they are not present now, and those areas where the growth potential is good, like some of the suburban markets. • 7. Asteroids Impact On Society Asteroid Impact Asteroids are rocky objects that move in the asteroid belt , which is between the orbit of Mars and Jupiter. Asteroids vary in size, composition, and how they orbit. It is estimated that more than 100,000 asteroids are orbiting too close to the earth. Asteroid impacts have affected the Earth remarkably with great damage. Hopefully these impacts will not be as bad in the future. Clemens Rumpf from University of Southampton, and his associates, speculated the casualties from an asteroid and how it would impact Earth. These researchers studied the effects it would cause on Earth by researching, asteroids that burn up ompletely [sic] before impact, those that hit the ground and those that strike in water (Crane 1).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Until 2004, Spaceguard survey astronomers, did not think about the effect of an impact and how important it is to look for asteroids that can corrupt Earth in the future. In 2004, an asteroid event took effect on Earth that changed the way the Spaceguard astronomers thought. The first event took place on, January 14, 2004. This asteroid was named AL00667 and had a twenty five percent chance of hitting Earth between thirty six hours. Even though this asteroid missed Earth by millions of miles, organizations were formed so there could be warnings for any threatening object that will affect Earth in the future. The second event that took place was the discovery of Apophis June 19, 2004. Apophis was only imaged for two nights and was later seen by, Gordon Garradd, from the Siding Spring Observatory, in New South Wales observatory, December 18, 2004. After his observations of the minor planet, it was predicted that there was a one out of three hundred chance that Apophis will hit Earth in 2029 by a software at NASA s NEO Program Office and at the University of Pisa in Italy. The odds continued to decrease as astronomers observed throughout the years. As 2029 approaches, questions still afloat. Will April 13, 2029 be the end of the world? In conclusion, Earth has
  • 8. A Short History of MRI What is MRI? Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a sophisticated computerized imaging technique, which has been a clinical diagnostic tool since 1980. MRI is used to create images with extraordinary detail of the body or brain by applying nuclear magnetic resonance phenomena. The distribution of hydrogen nuclei (protons), found in cellular water, depends on the tissue type and whether or not the tissue is healthy or diseased. MRI measures and records changes in the magnetic properties of these protons. The MRI technique uses a strong magnetic field, pulsed electromagnetic fields known as gradients, and radio waves to excite the protons and produce the image in the region of interest. The image is produced then displayed on a gray scale... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... MRI is superior to CAT scan because CAT scan is using ionizing radiation, MRI uses harmless radio waves. The only unusual preparation is that all removable metallic objects must be left outside the scanning room, including removable hearing aids, dentures and other prosthetic devices. Credit cards can be damaged by the MRI because magnetic codes can be affected by the MRI magnet. Magnetic Resonance Imaging is a powerful diagnostic tool in the medical imaging market place as the procedure of choice for the visualization of soft tissue. The MRI industry is producing over 2,000 units per year. The United States is represented with 40% of the world marketing and production of MRI. There is an emerging consensus that the MRI has a broad application in smaller hospital and clinics. Neurologists are one of medical specialty that depend a great deal on MRI for accurate diagnostic of the central nerve system. Other medical specialty that rely upon the MRI technology include neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons and chiropractors. MRI is useful in diagnosis of pinched nerves in the spinal column, heart disease, multiple sclerosis and other diseases of the central nerve system. The use of MRI technology will increase in the United States and the world because of the tremendous significance in modern medical diagnosis. The Tesla Unit is a label on every MRI machine signifying the strength of the MRI Magnetic Field. The stronger the magnetic field, the
  • 9. Aria A Memoir Of A Bilingual Childhood Summary In Richard Rodriguez s essay, Aria: A Memoir of a Bilingual Childhood, the concept that language itself does not convey intimacy, it can be used to communicate intimacy is apparent. Rodriguez conveys this through his repeated distinguishment of his family, and the public; Spanish speakers, rather, seemed related to me, for I sensed that we shared through our languagethe experience of feeling apart from los gringos. This technique of italicizing the words los gringos , as well as writing it Spanish emphasizes the separateness Rodriguez has with the public. By using this technique, it also creates a sense of irony in the reader, which effectively communicates Rodriguez s point. The reader is, in part, experiencing some of Rodriguez s childhood by giving the reader themselves the idea of otherness (established by the use of los gringos. ) Rodriguez also uses this sensation to illustrate that through this otherness of speaking Spanish, he finds intimacy with those in the same situation.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He explains this idea by using subtext; I am speaking with ease in Spanish. I am addressing you in words I never use with los gringos, I recognize you as someone special, close, like no one outside. You belong with us. In the family (Rodriguez 306.) Rodriguez describes his experience of hearing his family speak Spanish through mental subtext. In the quote, a mixture of complete thoughts and fragmented sentences are used. Rodriguez begins the quote with longer sentences, and then ends the passage in short fragmented sentences. The progression of the quote goes from formal to informal fragments. Through this technique, Rodriguez coveys that again, through his language otherness , he experiences

Chick Fil A Swot Analysis My company of choice is Chick fil A, and I believe an appropriate mission statement would be, to serve the best tasting, freshest chicken sandwich while glorifying God and having a positive influence on the families who enjoy it. Some objectives that the company could strive for to achieve this goal could be to: Retain a commitment to using fresh chicken and ingredients Provide a family friendly atmosphere Hire employees that respect customers and value the mission statement Give back to the community Treat employees with respect After researching the SWOT analysis of Chick fil A, I found that some of the strengths include: it is an established brand in the United States, it has a successful marketing campaign ( Eat Mor Chikin ), many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Maybe it is difficult for the company to find a customer base outside the US, or maybe it would be too difficult to find employees outside of the US who support and adhere to their mission statement. Whatever their reason, I believe it would be beneficial to make an attempt at expanding outside the United States. They also have a fraction of the locations that their competitors possess. McDonald s currently has 36,900 stores, Burger King has 15,000, and Chick fil A has about 2200. Again, Chick fil A does not have a significant presence outside the US, but the other companies do, which could account for a large portion of the difference. Opening more franchises would create a larger customer base for the company and would maximize profits, changing this weakness to a strength. An opportunity for Chick fil A is the young people and families who are moving to the metropolitan areas around the country (which is where most of the restaurants are) need a family friendly, clean place to eat out. I believe that they will continue to attract this client base if they continue to run the business as they have

I believe that this film was nicely put together, the plot kept its viewers engaged and wanting to see what would happen next. In this essay I will be giving a brief explanation on the film and why it is or is not accurate and whether the producer did it on purpose or by mistake. At the beginning of the movie which takes place in 1906, Manfred is still a child. As a kid Manfred is out hunting with his younger brother Lothar von Richthofen and younger cousin, Wolfram Freiherr von Richthofen. Suddenly the sound of an airplane flying nearby flies over them. Hamlet is such a great play because of how its many themes are intricately woven into the plot creating a fabulous storyline filled with tragedy. Revenge is a dish best served cold, being one of the biggest themes in the play, at its Hamlets biggest goal in the play. From the very start Hamlet was out seeking revenge over his father s death. He wanted to kill Claudius because Claudius killed his father, in an effort to become king himself. Hamlet then becomes obsessed with seeking vengeance, going so far as to fake madness in order to prove that Claudius is truly guilty for his father s murder... Along with Revenge comes Hamlet s streak of Madness, He feigns madness almost like a tool at his disposal. Hamlet first uses the illusion of his madness as a way of proving Claudius s guiltiness. His madness acts as an excuse so that he can get away with strange behavior, and he won t be held accountable for his actions. He feigns madness for so long that his depression over his father s death and his mother s remarriage pushes him into a madness which is not faked but rather quite real. He goes as far as to consider suicide. To be or not to be, that is the question: Whether tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and

Laboratory 7: Environmental Effects on Enzyme Activity BI 185 03 BY Charlie Kane 10/24/17 Abstract During this experiment we tested the effects that specific environmental conditions have on the enzyme, peroxidase. Through this experiment we developed an understanding of enzymes and their functions. By exposing the enzymes to different environments, we observed a changed in their activity. In order for us to measure these changes we used the technique of spectrophotometry, meaning we used a spectrophotometer, which measures the amount of light a chemical can absorb. In our findings we discovered that certain environmental factors such as pH, temperature , boiling do have an affect on enzyme activity. In conclusion the five null hypothesis were proven to be incorrect. Introduction Enzymes are biological catalysts that carry thousands of chemical reactions that occur in living cells. They could be found in every living thing. Enzymes increase the rate at which chemical reactions occur. A catalyst speeds up a chemical reaction by lowering the activation energy required. They are proteins made up of several amino acids. Each enzyme is different due to its structure, it all has different amino acid sequence. An enzymes ability to function depends on it s environment. These factors include temperature, denaturation, pH, the size , the shape, and the amount of enzymes present. Enzymes performs best at ph7. That is the same pH as blood , the more enzymes stray away from pH7 the weaker it becomes , the active site gets damaged. This makes the enzyme not active, no longer functional. When it comes to temperature enzymes at a certain temperature have maximum activity. As temperature increases the enzyme activity also increases. When enzymes reach their maximum activity level and the temperature is still increasing it will start to decline (denaturation). The rate of reaction also depends on how much enzymes are present. We tested 5 hypothesis which were the amount of enzyme does not alter the rate of a reaction. pH does not influence the rate of an enzyme reaction. Temperature does not influence the rate of an enzyme activity. Boiling an enzyme before a reaction does not influence enzyme activity. The

As 1 Samuel opens, the era of the judges is still in the forefront, but it is fading fast. The leadership of Israel rests on the undisciplined and elderly Eli, the high priest of the tabernacle at Shiloh and one of the last of the minor judges (1 Sam 4:18). Throughout the early chapters of 1 Samuel, the author draws a sharp contrast between Eli and his ungodly sons and the godly prophet Samuel. By the middle of the book (1 Samuel 15 16), the same kind of contrast is drawn between Saul and David. In 2 Samuel the narrative shifts to the reign of David as he rises above Saul s son Ish bosheth to become the king, first of Judah and then of all the tribes of Israel (5:1 4). The book records David s wars of conquest including the capture of Jerusalem and the relocation of the ark of the covenant to the City of David (6:1 19). The word inka means ruler . The state inka was created during the time of wars. Inka s population was 800,000km squared in 1438. Their wars were pretty big back in the days, they had around 200,000 soldiers, which of course was considered the largest and best armed in the region. Their transportation was walking through the highways because they had no cars to transport to their wars. They also carried their supplies on the backs of llamas. Once they settled down and marked their territories for their troops, they were instructed in the Quechua language. The Quechua language became the lingua franca of the state (Duiker 177). The inka culture did not have a writing system, instead they recorded their communications by a knotted string called quipu . This was able to record numerical nature and whatever they needed to communicate, instead they just memorized it and then recite it when needed. Even though they had a lack of writing system, they still had a high level of cultural achievement. They had a highly developed tradition, also some poetry and music. Apparently the Inka Empire was destroyed by the Spanish culture by a very heartless way. The Spanish Fransisco Pizarro stole over 280,000 kg of gold from the Inka. He also destroyed and prohibited everything of native religions and culture but even though he did

Patients who have a blockage of the left circumflex artery are less common than the right coronary artery. With a left circumflex blockage, the prehospital provider will see that there is posterior damage done to the heart; which is where performing a right sided posterior electrocardiogram on a patient will be helpful (this method will be discussed later). After the victory towards French in the Seven Years War, the political and social relationship of the colonists and Great Britain had shifted to a different direction. The colonists began to think of themselves as Americans. At that time, The British government felt that the colonies had become quite independence, and they wanted their colonies to start paying tax in order to help England pay the national debt. Not only were Americans forced to pay direct taxes, but they were also obliged to involve in strict regulatory acts such as Sugar Act and Currency Act. Sugar Act (1764) strongly affected American s trading in which their oceanic vessels and cargos could be inspected by the British Navy and might be confiscated if the paper and the goods that being transported were in disagreement. Currency Act (1764) restricted colonial governments to print their own paper money. These two acts put some colonists in anger but they were not enough to result in civil disorder until the Stamp Act was passed. As a sacred city with spiritual significance in three major religions, Jerusalem is depicted thoroughly in the Hebrew Bible and illustrated as one of the spaces Tweed defines. The Bible emphasizes that Jerusalemwas chosen by God and honored by Israelites, which differentiates it as a special, singular space; the description of Solomon s Temple shows that the Holy City was interrelated to economic power and involved in the judgment of civil cases. Moreover, the conquest, development and destruction of Jerusalem illustrate the city as a kinetic space, reflecting the unsettled history of the Iron Age. These characteristics all make Jerusalem a religious and political center from the ancient Near East time to present day, guiding the footsteps of believers around the world. In his essay Space , Thomas Tweed characterizes spaces for religious practices as differentiated locales that are sensually encountered and imaginatively figured. They are more or less special, singular, or set apart from undifferentiated or unnamed generic places (Tweed 2011: 119). He also states that spaces are always interrelated with nature and with culture, and they are shaped by political processes, social relations and economic forces. Furthermore, defining religions as confluence of organic cultural flows about dwelling and crossing, about finding a place and moving across

Therefore, the best amount of leveling may occur when both the total cost and the total duration are minimised. Generally, the total cost of a project will greatly depended on the total duration. In other words, in most cases, a plan with minimum total project duration will stand for the best amount of leveling. The best amount of leveling should take a balanced view with concern about the client s demands, the project objects and the availability of different types of resources. For single resource, in small projects, their resource could be leveled by inspection; in larger projects is to select a target maximum for a resource. Moreover, when dealing with multiple resources, managers should decide which resource should be leveled first, i.e., largest fluctuating resources, resource with largest penality, high cost equipment. Other resource leveling method include extending the project duration, compressing activities, and splitting activities. Although it is ideal to have each task started and finished in the earliest period, this situation may not be found in real cases. In most of time, the resource required to launching multiple tasks is greater than the maximum available resources. Consequently, some tasks have to be delayed to start after others are finished. The steps of resource leveling are dramatically. As the previous figure shown above, each task

  • 43. Literary Analysis Of Rene Magritte s The Son Of Man Part of human nature is to find faces in images whether they are supposed to be there or not. So, Rene Magritte purposely made the face unseeable behind the apple. In his painting, there is more than what meets the eye. The way in which he executed the piece is simple yet it still makes those who see the art wonder what it represents. As like any artwork, successes and failures can be found in Magritte s art and how well it portrays the meaning behind the piece. The Son of Man when examined closer, can be more interesting than one might think. Representation lies in every form of art. There is the literal representation, and there is the abstract figurative way of viewing. Simply, the painting shows a man with an apple in front of his face and a storm taking place behind him. Many think the fruit is referencing the tale of William Tell in which he shot an apple off his son s head. Since in Magritte s painting the fruit is floating in front of him, this alludes to him about to be shot in the face. Others quickly think religion inspired the work. The Son of Man sounds eerily close to Son of Man, which is Jesus title. Also, the green fruit could be from the famous tale of the Garden of Eden where Eve took a bite from an apple and committed the first sin. Neither of these are wrong, but Rene Magritte states, Well so you have the apparent face, the apple, hiding the visible but hidden, the face of a person... There is an interest in that which is hidden and which the visible

The depiction of subjects is always absolutely accurate to reinforce the portrayal of real life and is void of any unnecessary artistic embellishment (Vaux, R. 2014). A technique that is used is filming done on locations rather than sets to properly portray the feel of real life. Events are not euphemized or hyperbolized to become a distortion or opinion of the truth. Unpleasant images, words and events are portrayed in full with no hidden facts, as well as plain images, words or events. A realist film that shows great accuracy is the war film All Quiet on the Western Front. The storyline incorporates just enough action to inform viewers that it is a war movie and at the same time it also embodies many other aspects such as the politics, emotions and hype involved with the war (Ronald, R. 2013). This gives the viewer a more accurate view as all aspects of the war are covered. Throughout the film we see that real locations have been chosen to enhance the realistic vision and accuracy of the film.

Starbucks Promised For The Working Conditions Last year, Starbucks promised that they would improve the working conditions and scheduling of their employees, but the company has not lived up to their promise yet. The managers want to keep labor costs as low as possible which has resulted in understaffing and making employees work long days, sometimes even making them close one night and open the next morning, which is known as a clopening . Autonomy, one of the most important job characteristics of motivation, seems to be very low in this situation for multiple reasons. First, the workers are not able to choose their own work schedule, the company provides them with when they are scheduled to work. This alone decreases motivation, but the fact that some workers are scheduled for clopenings further lowers their autonomy. Most workers would not mind opening or closing as long as they do not have to do both back to back. One way to fix this would be to allow workers to choose their own schedules. If Starbucks used an online scheduling program where every worker could input what times they wanted to work over the next two weeks or so, employees would be much happier with their schedules. The workers would have a minimum and maximum amount of hours they could work in the given time period, a minimum and maximum amount of employees that could work at the same time, and a minimum shift length. This scheduling process could also ensure that no employee performs a clopening if it is

Not all employees need to be trained in all positions. We need to cross train a little at a time as there is no need to cross train all our employees at the same time. I suggest creating a formal job rotation program. We could reduce the workload during the training process since it will take the new person longer to perform the task until their individual proficiency is reached. This reduced workload will help employees feel less resentful that they are being required to do more work. Lastly, we must remember that employees don t retain the cross training skills forever and must be re trained periodically. The following questions need to be addressed: How will we communicate the strategy to employees; especially those employees who for various reasons may not be the best fit for cross training? What are the positions within the organization should be targeted for a cross training initiative? Which employees are ready to be cross trained and how will we determine who will be cross trained? In order to answer these questions, we must examine the following.Communication. We need to introduce to the employees the benefits of cross training. Explain to them that will be learning new skills that can help them grow. We must be sure to explain that the reason for cross training is not to eliminate positions, but to increase their overall development
