Wow Bali is an internationally recognized program on regenerative sustainable development that started in 2012 in Bali, Indonesia. WOW Bali Co-founder and Creative Director Hai Dai Nguyen developed the Sustainable Dynamics Framework based on his case studies of grassroots sustainable community-based ecotourism best practices in Bali, Indonesia since 2008. “Sustainable Dynamics” are the forces and properties that enable a community to coexist and operate interdependently.
WOW Bali program and projects are sustained through mutualism and creative economics with its partners, allowing for the regeneration of new initiatives. The program used to operate under the Yayasan Tri Hita Karana Bali, an organization founded on the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana—the core of the Balinese belief system, which traces the “causes of goodness” on a harmonious relationship between God, people, and nature. Tri Hita Karana Bali exists to educate both adults and children about organic farming practices. Through its various projects and workshops, it is able to sustain its advocacy towards preserving the Bali culture and raise environmental awareness through the principles of permaculture.
In 2015, after three years of developing sustainable local initiatives, WOW Bali evolved from being a program into its very own Yayasan Global Banjar Internasional with the support of its long-term local partners.
Wow Bali International Sustainable and Wellness InitiativeHai Dai
As an international destination, the renowned island of Bali never fails to captivate visitors with wonderful natural attractions and unique culture. Bali has been an epitome of ‘paradise’ to many tourists. But beyond the exoticized image of Bali lies a deeply entrenched tradition that keeps the Balinese cultural and social fabric intact. It runs in all practices of the Balinese that it hardly escapes the curious
and sensitive gaze of any tourist. This is the Tri Hita Karana, the three sources of natural aesthetics according to the Balinese; a “human centered design” of harmonious relationships with people to people, people with nature, and people with the divine.
Inspired by the Tri Hita Karana, our local community partners in Bali are collaborating with WOW Bali International Initiative to share its vision of a Global Banjar, where visitors from all over the world can come to Bali to experience a sustainable lifestyle and learning about one of the world’s living ancient cultures in the pristine ecological villages of Bali. We designed ‘WOW Paradise’ authentic experience to share ecological and cultural practices by the Balinese to inspire you to continue living a sustainable lifestyle long after your visit here in ‘paradise’.
In learning about the traditional processes of the Tri Hita Karana, which ties with the whole Balinese way of living, you will be actively participating in the preservation of ‘Old Bali’ and the enduring sense of ‘paradise’ that it evokes.
WOW experiences are guaranteed to make you more dynamic in living and relating harmoniously with nature. Our award winning team from “Wow Paradise”, WOW Bali International 'Sustainable Dynamic' Collective and International Sustainability and Wellness Initiative, will show you the building blocks of experiences that are connected to our human relationships, our ecology, and the divine.

After 15 years of extensive research, we found that it is important to “collectively sustain” at the community level in order to prevent the loss of biodiversity; the massive
extinctions happening in our ecological environment. The approach has been internationally recognized as “HOLISTIC PARTICIPATORY” model, which has been
academically case studied as a “Dynamic Wellness” solution;recently in 2014 presented as “the top sustainability and wellness framework in South East Asia.”
Ecologically conscious stakeholders have been brought together via mutualism and creative economics through active exchanges to share resources that can
exponentially regenerate through “Sustainable Tourism.” In this WOW presentation, we will share the evolution of our research and development—a combination of fusing
ancient cultures with modern methodologies, shifting perceptions towards dynamic well being through a “reverse osmosis” in the building blocks of experiences. This immediate astounding change will provide new opportunities to participate and for you to initiate positive actions towards a more fruitful abundance in living dynamic relationships. We want to apply celebrations as transformative energetics of cultures via soft power diplomacy for the people. We believe that once we connect ourselves at the energetic level; especially via celebrations, the pinnacle of high consciousness, we can shift our perceptions understandings; therefore connects at a different level decisions making. This research may possibly inspire cultures away from the current logical linear patterns that tends to create separations and deeper into the emotional intelligence that naturally welcome possibilities that it is easy to do and simple to share towards a more sustainable world.

ABSTRACT: Communities respond to sustainable development in diverse ways. Using local wisdom and resources, and accessing global networks, community members work together to sustain their economic and social well-being and regenerate their natural ecosystems. The Sustainable Dynamics Model captures the processes with which interdependent actors and stakeholders leverage each other’s forces and capabilities to achieve their visions of a sustainable community. The study aimed to introduce and de ne the Sustainable Dynamics Model emanated from an observational case study of a sustainable community-based ecotourism project through the Asian Productivity Organization Workshop on Agrotourism Development and Marketing in Bali, Indonesia. Later on, it evolved into interdisciplinary action research seeking to integrate sustainability solutions initiated by various stakeholders to the local community’s vision of a global banjar (community). Focus group discussion and workshops, interviews and case studies propelled the gathering of information on the processes of implementing these solutions from local and international stakeholders. The main lesson that emerged from these local initiatives is that achieving social, economic and ecological balance within the community depends on the dynamics of the actors and stakeholders participating in the collaboration. Developing a sustainable community requires human-level (self) transformation: personal wellness and creative autonomy leading towards the creation of opportunities for social, economic, and environmental transformation

The case study discusses the potential of drone delivery and the challenges that need to be addressed before it becomes widespread.
Key takeaways:
Drone delivery is in its early stages: Amazon's trial in the UK demonstrates the potential for faster deliveries, but it's still limited by regulations and technology.
Regulations are a major hurdle: Safety concerns around drone collisions with airplanes and people have led to restrictions on flight height and location.
Other challenges exist: Who will use drone delivery the most? Is it cost-effective compared to traditional delivery trucks?
Discussion questions:
Managerial challenges: Integrating drones requires planning for new infrastructure, training staff, and navigating regulations. There are also marketing and recruitment considerations specific to this technology.
External forces vary by country: Regulations, consumer acceptance, and infrastructure all differ between countries.
Demographics matter: Younger generations might be more receptive to drone delivery, while older populations might have concerns.
Stakeholders for Amazon: Customers, regulators, aviation authorities, and competitors are all stakeholders. Regulators likely hold the greatest influence as they determine the feasibility of drone delivery.

WOW BALI INTERNATIONAL INITIATIVE
Bali, Indonesia
About WOW Bali
Wow Bali is an internationally recognized program on regenerative
sustainable development that started in 2012 in Bali, Indonesia. WOW
Bali Co-founder and Creative Director Hai Dai Nguyen developed the
Sustainable Dynamics Framework based on his case studies of grassroots
sustainable community-based ecotourism best practices in Bali, Indonesia
since 2008. “Sustainable Dynamics” are the forces and properties that
enable a community to coexist and operate interdependently.
WOW Bali program and projects are sustained through mutualism and
creative economics with its partners, allowing for the regeneration of new
initiatives. The program used to operate under the Yayasan Tri Hita Karana
Bali, an organization founded on the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana—the
core of the Balinese belief system, which traces the “causes of goodness”
on a harmonious relationship between God, people, and nature. Tri Hita
Karana Bali exists to educate both adults and children about organic
farming practices. Through its various projects and workshops, it is able to
sustain its advocacy towards preserving the Bali culture and raise
environmental awareness through the principles of permaculture.
In 2015, after three years of developing sustainable local initiatives, WOW Bali evolved from being a
program into its very own Yayasan Global Banjar Internasional with the support of its long-term local
partners.

builds upon the existing
efforts and aspirations of
people behind Wow Bali, a
program in Ubud, Bali,
Indonesia, that has a mission
to co-develop “regenerative”

century communities.
2. Vision | Mission
WOW Bali envisions a world in which everyone is happy, healthy, and
prosperous by virtue of living in complete harmony with the “dynamic”
(forces and properties) of human culture and the natural ecosystem.
This would be an evolutionary systemic solution of sustainable cultures
here in Asia and most indigenous and traditional cultures of the world;.
Our mission is to co-develop “regenerative” processes for a more “Sustainable Dynamic” (S|D) in living
and learning for 21st
century communities. (S|D) designs are based on human-centered processes and
evolutionary design system for the integration of local wisdom (native intelligence) with applied modern
methodologies for the development of lean cultures.
v WOW Bali aims to develop systemic, holistic, transdisciplinary, and participatory learning
experiences to cultivate human’s highest capabilities, our“creative potentials”.
v The goals for international collaborations in various areas of sustainable development (such as, but
not limited to sustainable ecotourism and agrotourism) are premised upon the “regenerative” (easy-
to-do; simple-to-share) processes that WOW Bali fosters, based on today’s living culture and best
working practices. We believe that sharing of best practices, showcased sustainability, can yield
valuable impacts not only for individuals and groups involved but also for the communities within
which they work or function.
v Through collaborations, we seek to co-develop ecological communities for the long run so that
sustainable practices can thrive and regenerate. They will be showcased in various platforms to
serve as models for others to emulate. Also of equal importance, to evolve and develop a
conservation for dynamic practices of the “Cultural Wealth” in thousand years old cultures that has
lived in abundance prior to the monetary based systems.

v LEARNING EXCHANGE
For WOW Bali, learning is a dynamic process and is unique for every individual. We support and
apply ‘active learning’; action research methodologies to inspire creativity and maximize individual
learning experience.
v DYNAMIC WELLNESS (aka ‘WOW Dynamics’)
Learning about the natural dynamics of the human body has a lot to teach us about sustainable
living, our relationships with others, with nature, and the divine. We have researched and affirmed
