Thus proper Engine Health Management (EHM) is significant for the optimal performance of the aircraft engine. But to democratize the idea that EHM will be done only by engine manufacturers, providing access of engine data to other stakeholders is necessary. Considering android as an obvious choice as an open source secure platform, if ported on PowerPC, primes and OEMs can do EHM independently. eInfochips overcame biggest challenge of difference in endianness and successfully ported Android on PowerPC.
