The Pathophysiology Of Asthma
Asthma is a common disease that affects approximately 300 million children and adults worldwide
(Arshad, S. H., Babu, K. s., 2009). It leads to rising healthcare costs and reduces the quality of life in a
person due to the restrictions that a person has depending on the type of asthma. Doctors who can treat
asthma are called Pulmonologist, and an Immunologist. It is important to know the pathophysiology,
clinical manifestation and medical management to properly treat the disease.
Pathophysiology
Asthma is a chronic disease that affects the breathing tubes that carry air in and out of the lungs.
(Arshad, S. H., Babu, K. s., 2009). Asthma is sometimes referred to as bronchial asthma. With asthma,
the airways are inflamed, therefore ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Not everybody s body responds the same to medications. Medications for asthma are categorized in
three categories: anti inflammatory, bronchodilators, and leukotriene modifiers, (Types of Asthma,
n.d.). Anti inflammatory agents, suppress inflammation. Bronchodilators relax smooth muscle
contraction which helps with the narrowing of the bronchial tubes. Leukotrienes interrupt the chemical
signaling inside the body that can lead to inflammation and constriction. One kind of anti
inflammatory is a corticosteroid. This the most potent and effective kind. A anti inflammatory that is
commonly prescribed to children is called Cromolyn Sodium and Nedocromil (Types of Asthma, n.d.).
Inhalers are also used in the treatment of asthma. Two types of inhalers are long term and quick relief.
Long term inhalers help for longer periods of time and quick relief is a in the moment type of thing.
Providers recommended decreasing being around allergens that can trigger asthma. When patients are
taking medications, sometimes they begin to feel better and show no symptoms for some time, but this
is confusing to them. They see it as oh I m better I can stop taking my medication. That is not the case
because asthma can flare up

Radiofrequency Exposure
Exposure of the human to radiofrequency( RF) radiation can occur from several sources, including the
use of personal devices (mobile phones, cordless phones, Wi Fi, Bluetooth, amateur radios, etc.),
occupational sources (high frequency dielectric and induction heaters, broadcast antennas, high power
pulsed radars, and medical appliances), and environmental sources (mobile phone base stations,
broadcast antennae). [1] One of the most common tools we see these days is that of people with their
mobile phones next to their ears. Mobile phones are low powered RF transmitters, with frequencies
between 450 2700 MHz, operating through a network of base stations, with power in the range of 0.1
2 W transmitted through an antenna used close to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
[3] The FCC s exposure guidelines delineate an SAR of 1.6 W/kg, averaged over 1 g of tissue, as the
safe limit for a mobile phone user and every handset should comply with this limit before FCC
approval is granted for marketing of a phone in the United States. However, less restrictive limits, e.g.,
2 W/kg averaged over 10 g of tissue, are specified by the International Commission on Non Ionising
Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) guidelines, endorsed by WHO, and used in Europe and most other
countries. [7] Exposure of a user to RF declines rapidly with increasing distance from the handset. A
person using a mobile phone 30 40 cm away from the body, i.e., using speaker mode while talking or
using a hands free device, e.g., bluetooth headsets, will have a much lower exposure than someone
holding the handset against the head. [2] Several devices which claim to increase the safety of mobile
phone use such as., shielded cases, earpiece pads/shields, antenna clips/caps, special batteries, and
absorbing buttons, decrease exposures by a factor of 10, they have the danger of adversely affecting
the phone s antenna, due to which the phone will attempt to

Paul Bogard s Let There Be Dark
In his article Let There Be Dark , Paul Bogard builds a persuasive argument through a series of
effective examples that natural darkness needs to be preserved. To prove his main argument, Bogard
implements facts and statistics about the negative effects of light pollution such as the carcinogenic
effects of a lack of darkness, the dependency of flora and fauna on natural darkness, and the
inspiration sparked through the stillness provided by darkness. Even though humans are the only
living things contributing to artificial light at night, the decreasing amount of natural darkness is
negatively affecting people s health. For most people, this problem does not seem evident, since we
still spend about eight hours every day sleeping in darkness. Bogard makes this issue seem more
tangible by classifying the job of working the night shift as a carcinogen, stating that our bodies need
darkness to produce the hormone melatonin, which keeps certain cancers from developing, and our
bodies need darkness for sleep. Even with numerous vaccines and innovative treatments, cancer
remains to be everyone s worst nightmare. This example is effective because it uses pathos to ... Show

When listing a series of animals affected by the decreasing amount of natural darkness, Bogard
strengthens his argument by including a relatively unknown but helpful animal, the bats that save
American farmers billions in pest control. By relating how animals can be beneficial to humans, the
targeted audience, the author makes the argument more persuasive by presenting the reader with one
of the many benefits of natural darkness. While a negative quality, people tend to change their ways
only if they find personal benefit towards it. Bogard s decision to demonstrate how bats, an animal
dependent on natural darkness, can economically benefit farmers, effectively persuades readers to
want to preserve

The Clause Of Indian Land
In Chapter 6, Wilkins discusses how the disclaimer clauses. These clauses keep states from exercising
authority on Indian land (180). They are an important but often overlooked tool in the arsenal
available to tribes to assert their own sovereignty against state threats (177). A specific example of a
disclaimer clause is Wisconsin s territorial disclaimer of 1836 which prohibited territories or states
from having any authority on Indian land (180). In Native American Church v. Navajo Tribal Council
(1959) it was declared that Indian tribes actually have a higher status than states (179). This was a
major victory for Indians in their fight for sovereignty. United States v. Rickert (1903) was also a win
for sovereignty in that the Court prohibited South Dakota from taxing Indian land (185).After the
verdict in Seminole Tribe v. Florida (1996), the balance of power between state and federal
government leaned towards the states. Before this, negotiations with tribes had been conducted at the
federal level and not with states (187). This was against the idea of sovereignty because now the states
had more power over the tribes and could abuse that power for personal gain.
In United States v. McBratney (1881), McBratney tried to argue that the federal government had no
authority over a crime that occurred on Indian Territory, despite the fact that both parties were white.
The Court ruled that since Colorado had not expressly renounced jurisdiction over the Ute Indian

The Coming of the Spanish and the Pueblo Revolt (Hopi)
The Coming of the Spanish and the Pueblo Revolt (Hopi)
The Coming of the Spanish and the Pueblo Revolt (Hopi) illustrates how the interactions of two
distinctly different groups of people inevitably change the dynamics of each group, collectively and
individually. This story is told from the Hopi perspective, but the outcome of the Pueblo Revolt is
historically validated. It is the events described in this story that show how the Hopi and the Spaniards
change by contact with each other. A few of the changes for the Hopi were the upheaval of their
Utopian like existence by the arrival of the Spaniards, the need to practice their religion secretly, and
the determination to use violence to defend their own, even though it was ... Show more content on

Martin Luther And John Calvin Views On Sinful People
Martin Luther and John Calvin Views on Sinful People
Justification by faith (Sola Fide), the core value of the Reformation, is the belief that
righteousness from God is a recompense for sinner s accounts through faith alone. The sixteenth
century movement for the reform of abuses in the Roman Catholic Church resulted in the
establishment of the Reformed and Protestant Churches. Reformers like Martin Luther and John
Calvin were two of the most significant figures in the history of The Reformation. They both
proclaimed Justification as the main subject of the gospel of God s grace. They were well
acknowledged for their common doctrines of salvation as the deliverance from sin and its
consequences. They believed that to be brought ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To compare Martin Luther s and John Calvin s view on the subject of a sinful person, I
thoroughly looked into their common doctrines and considered how they differ in implementing
the rules that manage their ideology. I was able to conclude that even though Luther and Calvin
shared similar doctrines, their conceptualization and interpretation of those doctrines is very
different. Based on their opinions of sinners, I further realized that not only do they have divergent
interpretations of similar doctrines, but they also have different ambitions and their personalities
are extreme opposites.
Luther often blamed the flesh, which Protestants refer to as our sinful nature (they
believed is the cause of human impurities), for the sins of every human and he gave credit to the
Spirit for every good things that man does. The Reformers and the Protestants believe that there
are two types of spirits: the Holy Spirit, which they proclaim to be the spirit of God, and the human
spirit, which is the part of humans that opens up to the spirit of God. The spirit that is often
refereed to when talking about the flesh is the human spirit (what does the Bible mean by the
flesh by Msgr. Charles Pope). We might argue that Luther is trying not to be judgmental, that he
acknowledged the fact that efforts to live a sin
free life is a mere dream, and the best approach to

Descriptive Essay On Sculptures
As the sun started to settling down, you walked into a wonderful museum full of figure sculptures to
which the natural spot light shines from the sun hit the wonderful master pieces. Then you walk more
deeply inside an exhibition room, suddenly, you notice that you are surrendered by medium size to
large sculptures. One sculpture that is space equally to one an another, but they all have no cloth on.
As you tend to get closer and closer and the story of the sculptures reveal more details of what is the
sculpture tell you like a story telling. Even the details of the bodies tend to give of a more muscle
structures. When looking at a stone sign above, you notice that you are in a theme of nude figure
sculptures. In the center were the four main sculptures which is in order from finest pick from the
museum and three from the class room lecture. They are The Lansdown Athlete, the Roman copy of
the Lysippos, and Roman copy after a Greek original by Praxiteles, Hermes and the Infant Dionysos.
From my opinion is that the sculptures are in nude because they tell us that the sculptures are
goddesses or a recreation of a person that is not real. The nude sculpture is one who is not wearing
cloth or less who which it shows our body parts. Most of the sculptures are made out of stone, marble,
and bronze. They are shown in large structure or a human size. All figures are mostly made in Greek
Late Classical to Hellenistic, thus the artist show more details in human body structures. For

The execution of military operations requires the application of certain fundamental principles, and
tenets that have been the keystone of strategy development and conflict planning, since the appearance
of organized forces. In addition to these tenets and principles, the military relies on the experience of
front line leaders, and lessons learned to ensure operations evolve to focus on current and emerging
threats. Currently, the United States military is waging wars on two fronts, Iraq and Afghanistan. To be
successful, these operations require the coordinated efforts of all branches of service, Army, Navy, Air

Getting the helicopters staged at Desert One proved more difficult than initially imagined. Even before
the initial wave of the helicopters reached Desert One, the mission experienced a loss due to pilot
unfamiliarity with the warning signals of the Navy helicopter. This incident reduced the available
helicopters for the mission, from eight to seven. The weather dealt the mission its second blow. As the
helicopters continued toward Desert One, they encountered severe sandstorms. The sandstorms proved
difficult for the pilots. One pilot became disoriented and turned back, once again reducing the number
of available helicopters, which now stood at six. Once the remaining six helicopters arrived at Desert
One, the operation was ready to proceed. As aircraft and Delta Force operators were positioned in the
final stages for execution, one of the final six helicopters experienced a hydraulic problem that caused
the safety of the craft to be called into question. Ultimately, this malfunction issued the final blow to
the troubled mission. After the order to abort was confirmed and evacuation initiated, as if to add
insult to injury, the already failed mission received one final fatal blow. While repositioning for
departure, one of the five remaining helicopters passed too closely to a parked C 130 cargo plane. The
rotors of the helicopter clipped the C 130 and sparked an explosion that ultimately killed eight military
members. It was later

Katsu Kokichi’S Autobiography, “Musui’S Story,” Documents
Katsu Kokichi s autobiography, Musui s Story, documents the life of a samurai in Japan s late
Tokugawa period who adopted the name Musui in his retirement. Katsu is something of a black sheep
within his family, being largely uneducated and deemed unfit for the bureaucratic office s samurai of
his standing were expected to hold. As such, he typifies in many ways the lower ronin, or masterless
samurai, many of whom famously led roaming, directionless lives and wreaked havoc among the
urban poor and merchant classes. The novel addresses the decaying power of samurai throughout the
Tokugawa period and depicts their struggle to find purpose. Throughout the story, Katsu is impacted
by three interconnected systems of power that impact his life ... Show more content on

However, the challenges of this economic power come through forms of temptations that plagued
Japanese men at the time. These include drinking, smoking, gambling, and prostitution. For instance,
during his youth, Katsu was [tricked] into going with [Karoku] to the pleasure quarters in the
Yoshiwara. [He] enjoyed himself immensely and after that went every night. [He] used up all his
money (Musui 44). In this section, Katsu exhibits a lack of self control over his money. His behavior
is representative of many low level samurai throughout Tokugawa Japan. These irresponsible
economic decisions combine with pre existing financial disparity to place samurai largely in debt.
Similarly, these districts were often seen as an escape for samurai and members of the lower class. Just
before Katsu has fled home for the second time, he says To take my mind off my woes, I went to the
Yoshiwara (Musui 60). Many samurai were disheartened by the fact they were indebted to merchants
and had no true purpose in life. As an escape, they fled to districts like the Yoshiwara. Ultimately,
economic power is created by a flourishing economy and is challenged by the temptations of man.
Domestic power comes from family lineage and is used to determine social status/class. The Japanese
class system prohibits individuals from moving between classes to maintain the power of the Daimyo
and Shogun. Moreover, domestic power resides in the level of respect granted to

The functions of telomeres includes protection of chromosomes from degradation and end to end
fusions, maintains the stability of chromosomes, acts as a mitotic clock to understand the replicative
history of a cell.Telomerase is a ribonucleoprotein DNA polymerase that helps in maintaining the
telomeres by adding TTAGGG repeats at the ends of chromosomes (Greider and Blackburn,1989).
Telomerase consists of two main subunits: telomerase RNA (hTR) and catalytic component human
telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT). The enzymatic activity is usually absent in somatic cells but
remains active in germ line cells, embryonic stem cells and tumor cells. Almost 80 to 90% of human

Julius Caesar was a military commander that emerged from the chaos of civil war to take charge of the
republic. He later became known as the dictator of Rome, the absolute ruler of Rome. He made many
reforms and created a new program to employ the jobless and gave public land to the poor. Julius
Caesar was a powerful man and becoming too powerful was what led him to corruption. The Senate
was afraid and jealous of his power and they were worried he might plan to make himself king of
Rome. Needless to say, the Senate wanted to save the republic and so they went against him. Julius

Many Romans continued to honor Caesar and that began to anger the Roman politicians more and
more. Caesar took many decisions in his hands and this put paid to the Roman senate. They wanted
him out, but he had the hearts of the Roman people. They could not attack him publicly because they
would risk their own lives. They had to find a way out of this predicament. The final straw for the
Roman politicians was when Julius Caesar refused the crown three times in front of the crowd. Caesar
has refused, saying he was not the king and therefore not eligible to wear that crown. He lived up to
the expectation of his people and did all that was required of him. He spent so much time making
Rome an empire to be feared that many politicians thought it was all for his own good. They felt he
made Rome a very powerful country because he wanted to rule and wanted the power all to himself.
Julius Caesar was a spellbinding orator and a ruthless politician, although he was merciful in victory,
understanding that such favors would return political dividends. He was also a military genius and his
legions loved him for his courage and skill, and for fighting bareheaded among their ranks. Caesar
was a great man, however, sometimes his actions would prove people wrong. Occasionally crowds
had protested against him and it has mostly been over a specific grievance. Many people of Rome will

Duck Death And The Tulip Essay
Duck, death and the tulip is a children s book that delicately explains death. Death had been
personified to help children comprehend the concept of passing away. This picture book is about how
Death follows the Duck everywhere and anywhere the Duck goes. The objectified version of Death
does not cause the Duck any harm or lead the Duck to death, however Death follows the Duck
because death is unexpected. Although Death is objectified in this book, it s the conscience that allows
the thought of death to linger in one s life because the Duck was illustrated to be surprised when Death

Because death is such a complex subject for children, Duck, Death and the Tulip is able to explain
death in a lighthearted manner without excessive emotions. Furthermore, the story was able to explain
the concept of death without going into too much detail of what happens after death and other beliefs.
This allows children to interpret it in their own ways while comprehending the theme of the story. In
continuation, I believe the illustrations affect reception because the simplistic contrasting images
could have various interpretations and it is up to the person reading the content on how they would
like to interpret each picture. However, the theme affects popular appeal because death as a theme for
a children s book is a sensitive topic for children to comprehend. Therefore, guardians and adults may
be slightly surprised when they initially read this book because of the straightforwardness of the
content. Overall, Duck, Death and the Tulip is a children s book that effectively expresses on the topic
of death. The simplistic art within every page of the book is accompanied by a contrasting symbol
which allows further interpretations of the context. It is no surprise that this book has some
unconventional drawings, however it will allow children to understand death in an appropriate setting.

Evaluating The Security Of A System Or Computer Network
Introduction
In this report I will explain three penetrations methods. The three methods are: OSSTMM Method,
DOS and VMs penetrations testing.
A penetration test is a method to evaluate the security of a system or computer network. This method
allows to simulate an attack and find exploitable vulnerabilities to propose an action plan to improve
the security.
There are two types of penetration testing: the pentest in Black Box or pentest in White Box. The
pentester in Black Box mode really puts in the skin of an external attacker, he has no information on
the target. The pentester in White Box mode work in collaboration with the DSI and the technical
team in order to get maximum information for the penetration test.
The objective of pentester can vary according to context:
 List a set of information found in one way or another, and which may be sensitive or critical.
 List the vulnerabilities or weaknesses in the security system that can be exploited.
 Demonstrate that a potential attacker s capacity to find vulnerabilities and exploit them to break into
the information system.
 Test the effectiveness of intrusion detection systems and responsiveness of the security team, and
sometimes users.
 Perform a final presentation and reporting its progress and its findings to the client.
 Provide ideas and advise on methods of resolution and correction of discovered vulnerabilities.
Nowadays the security of systems or network are constantly changing, quickly evolving, we

Tetanus Toxemia
Tetanus or Tetanus Toxemia, is something that almost all mammals are susceptible to. It is caused by a
specific toxin that is produced in Clostridium tentai in necrotic tissue. Of all animals, though, horses
sheep, and goat seem to be the most intolerant. Tetanus is usually introduced into the body through a
wound, mainly deep puncture, but in some cases like lambs; it can occur through the acts of docking
or castration. It cannot grow in regular tissue if the normal oxidation reduction potential is irregular.
The process, as described by the Merck Veterinary Manual, The bacteria remain localized in the
necrotic tissue at the original site of infection and multiply. As bacterial cells undergo autolysis, the
potent neurotoxin is released. The neurotoxin is a zinc binding protease that cleaves synaptobrevin, a
vesicle associated membrane protein. Usually, toxin is absorbed by the motor nerves in the area and
travels retrograde up the nerve tract to the spinal cord, where it causes ascending tetanus. ... Show

Peeta Mellark Vs. Kat-Niss Everdeen
The two main characters of my novel, The Hunger Games, are Peeta Mellark, and Kat niss Everdeen,
are two characters that particularly have a significant number of similarities, while still having a

common in the Seam, which is the lower class part of District 12 where Katniss lives. Since she is

Peeta is also 16 years old in the book. He has blond hair, a lighter skin tone than Katniss, and has blue

since his father owns a bakery). He isn t too tall either, he is 5 7 , making him noticeably shorter than
one of the most dangerous, if not, the most dangerous trib utes, Cato, who is 6 2 . Peeta lives with both
of his parents, and they run a bakery shop back in District 12. This is the reason why he can lift 100

of District 12. Peeta s really doesn t have a weapon of choice, but some of his advantages are that he

advantage. Peeta could also survive in the Hunger Games because he is also smart, a very good actor,
and partic ularly manipulative. An example of this is at the end of chapter 11 when Katniss finds out
that Peeta is in an alliance with the career tributes. The career tributes are on a team in the begin ning,
and when they have killed everyone, they fight each other. Only the strongest tributes are the career
tributes because they have been trained to be in the arena since they were born. Peeta is with the

The folks behind 9/11 were people of the Islamic faith, because of media portrayals and
misinformation a lot of people blamed all Muslims for the September 11 Attack. However, the post
9/11 reactions of bigotry also heavily impacted the Sikh population in America who are known to
wear turbans. Turbans were seen as a symbol of terrorism in post 9/11 America and even today are
negatively triggering items for miseducated Americans. After 9/11 members of the Sikh faith were
shot, beat up, bullied, yelled at, pushed, and countless other things. Gurpinder Gill recalls the
Gurdwara committees, high offices in the Sikh American community, warning folks about the dangers
of being outside and wearing a turban in America. They requested Sikhs to avoid public spaces as
much as possible. Harvel Gill s parents were fond of walking in public parks, but after the beating of a
Sikh man near their town, they stopped. It was not safe to be Sikh in America. This heavily reflects the
experiences of Chinese people after the American car industry dilapidated due to fierce Japanese
competition. Chinese folks were mistakenly identified as Japanese and targeted in hate crimes. One
was even killed, Vincent Chin. There is a common theme in Asian American history of Asian
Americans being mislabelled and differences between Asian American communities being blurred.
Some White Americans attack Sikhs because they are ignorant on differences in the Asian American
community and can only see turbans as a symbol of hate. Which is very interesting considering the
turban has the exact opposite meaning of hate and terrorism. The turban is a symbol of equality,
justice, and of Sikhism. Harvel Gill also recalls the day in 2012 when a man named Wade Michael
Page walked into a Gurdwara and killed six people. That was a dark day for the entire Sikh American

Pattern Of Behavior In Charles Baxter s Gryphon
In the story Gryphon (fictional) by Charles Baxter, There are two main question that are important to
the whole entire story. Why does Tommy defend Miss Ferenczi? And What do you learn about Tommy
from this pattern of behavior? There are some evidence to actually solve the answers. The first
explanation to question to why Tommy likes Mrs. F is that on page (57, line 430 to 431) it talks about
how Tommy was telling Carl Whiteside, the boy who has bad breath and collect lots of marbles in a
jar about a fake combination to make it sound real so he convinced him that it s possible . and he
combined a human being and a hamster. it s called a humster. Next explanation, on (pg.50, l. 445)

herself. Therefore it was a surprise when a woman we had never seen came into the class the next day,
carrying a purse, a checkerboard lunch box, and a few books. , She had put her hair down and twisted
it into pigtails, with red rubber bands holding them tight one inch from the ends. She was wearing a
green blouse and pink scarf, making her difficult to at for a full class day. , Once again she was
different: this time, her hair hung straight down and seemed hardly to have been comed. She hadn t
brought her lunch box with her, but she was carrying what seemed to be a small box. Final reason is
that on (pg.66,67, 68,l.715 779 ) it shows the tarot pack which it stands for a fortune cards, it tells a

Canadian Immigration Policy Essay
The history of Canadian immigration highlights that the immigration policies has been selective about
the immigrants coming to Canada. The basis of the choice of immigrants and corresponding policies
and laws were motivated and shaped by the political, social and economic position of Canada
throughout the decades. Through the historical records the Canadian immigration policies had been
heavily influenced by ethnicity, race and religion factors.
The most unconcealed act of discrimination of excluding immigrants on basis of their ethnicity was by
implementing the Chinese Immigration Act of 1885. The restrictions on Chinese immigrants were

the highest percentage of drug doping with an average of 3.7%. Not only cycling has the highest
percentage of doping findings, it is also has the highest amount of athletes admitting to taking drugs

Football And Gladiator Similarities
Gladiator games and football have more similarities than we believe. The number one component is
violence. Crowds scream in excitement as the Coliseum gets covered in blood in the gladiatorial
games. Comparing to today, fans scream and cheer as two teams tackle each other in a football game.
Looking at modern day sports and the gladiator games, they suggest that football has just as much
violence as the gladiator games played in the Roman times. If a sport contains violence, it tends to be
the most popular. Both the sport, football and gladiator games involve incredible, violence sights in
front of a huge, cheering crowd (Probing Question: Is football similar to Roman Gladiator Games?,

The Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizens was formed by the National Assembly on 27th
August 1789. It was intended by the National Assembly to be the preliminary statement of principles
which the constitution should be modelled. Thus allowing the nation of France to be liberated and

This was an assertion against the Ancien Regime, where birth rights distinguished citizens; peasants
had no opportunity to improve their social strata due to the high poverty and oppression. Possibly the
most liberating clause out of the declaration, was the concept of popular sovereignty. It was
considered that absolute power should no longer reside in the hands of the Monarch. Instead,
sovereignty would rest with the nation, giving the citizens the opportunity to exercise their power.
There are some clauses that centre wholly on the enlightenment movement. To liberate a nation
required certain minimal restrictions. In 1762 Rousseau had published the Social Contract. Within it
Rousseau outlined that, human beings agree to an implicit Social Contract which gave them certain
rights, in return for giving up certain freedoms (J.Hunt (1998) Pg7). This inferred that people have the
right to life, in return for giving up the freedom to kill others. Release also arrived for religion. People
were free to follow their chosen beliefs, signalling the end of exclusive Catholicism. Deism was being
introduced. In particular, Voltaire believed that although the universe was created by God; it was then
left to operate accordingly to scientific law (Merriman (1996) Pg407). This then paved the way for a

Before And After By Andy Warhol
Before and After
Andy Warhol Doubtlessly, Marilyn Diptych by Andy Warhol is the symbol of Pop Art movement for
me; however, I like to express my reaction to Before and After, 1961, by Andy Warhol. The foremost
reason for choosing this piece is I just saw it and my reaction is so fresh! Reading about Andy Warhol
and his early stages as an iconic pop artist, Before and After attracts my attention, a black and white
big size piece which shows a profile of a woman before and after a nose plastic surgery. Arthur C.
Danto believes Andy Warhol is a person who can make an art piece out of nothing. Before Warhol,
Before and After would have been a piece of boilerplate commercial art, whose maker would be long
forgotten. (Dante, 2) I agree

Definition of White Collar Crime Essay
White collar crime has many definitions, one of the earlier described it as illegal or unethical acts that
violate fiduciary (holding or held in trust) responsibility of public trust committed by an individual or
organization, usually during the course of legitimate occupational activity, by persons of high or
respectable social status for personal or organizational gain. However, as time went on the definitions
and variation of the crimes began expanding and a definition did not describe the act to completion.
The way a crime was determined a white collar crime was if it fit five elements. If the crime
perpetrated has intent, then it can be a white collar crime, by intent it means to commit a wrongful act
or to achieve a purpose ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One type of crime that fits all these categories and the modern definitions of white collar crime is
identity theft.
II. What is Identity Theft? Identity theft has been around for many years, and is a method of stealing
another person s identity. The person who steals the identity then pretends to be the person whose
identity they have just stolen. This is done to get the persons credit card information, their resources,
and their benefits. The victim of the theft can have everything in their life taken from them, and it is
not an easy crime to prove. Sometimes, the person uses that newly attained identity to commit other
crimes, which then can get the victim in even more problems. Identity theft can lead to identity fraud,
leading to the misappropriation of the person s identity. With the modern technology of today identity
theft has become a lot easier. With firmware, spyware, and viruses identity theft has become easier
than ever, apps and programs like these will take a lot more than a person s credit card information.
However, identity theft is not as simple as one may think; many types of identity theft that affect
people every day.
III. Different Types of Identity Theft Identity theft has been split into six different types used to
describe the expansiveness of the crime, identity cloning, criminal identity theft, medical identity
theft, synthetic identity theft, child identity theft, and financial identity theft. The simple definition

Examples Of Guilt In Macbeth
Guilt is a feeling of responsibility or remorse for a crime or cruel action. Usually, people have this
feeling once they do something terrible and it makes them want to fix their wrongdoings. However,
when Macbeth felt guilt it drove him to do more atrocious actions. In the play, Macbeth, written by
William Shakespeare, a general whose name is Macbeth receives prophecy by three witches that one
day he will become king of Scotland. Consumed by his ambition and spurred to action by his wife
Macbeth murders King Duncan and does anything in his power to remain king. After getting blinded
by this idea of being king he ultimately dies by the hand of Macduff. Shakespeare develops the
characters Macbeth and Lady Macbeth to demonstrate how guilt manifests ... Show more content on

Throughout the entire play, Macbeth, Shakespeare shows how Macbeth s guilt negatively affected him
emotionally as time went on. At the beginning of the play, Macbeth has a minor emotional breakdown
after he kills King Duncan. This emotional breakdown shows the guilt that Macbeth felt, Will all great
Neptune s ocean wash this blood clean from my hand (ii.2.63 64.29). Shakespeare uses this analogy to
show the magnitude of his crime and how that guilt can not wash off and go away easily. In the time
period that Macbeth was in killing a king was a major crime, so him not being able to wash the blood
away helps create the idea that Macbeth knows what he has done and feels the sin that he has
committed. During the middle of the play, Macbeth has Banquo killed so he doesn t take the crown.
When Macbeth was going to enjoy dinner and sit down at the table he saw Banquo s ghost appear and
look at him, Thou hast no speculation in those eyes, which thou dost glare (iii.4.96 97.54). This
imagery that Shakespeare uses helps to show that Macbeth feels some guilt of what he did and that
guilt will come back to haunt him. Even though Banquo is not physically

  • 2. The Pathophysiology Of Asthma Asthma is a common disease that affects approximately 300 million children and adults worldwide (Arshad, S. H., Babu, K. s., 2009). It leads to rising healthcare costs and reduces the quality of life in a person due to the restrictions that a person has depending on the type of asthma. Doctors who can treat asthma are called Pulmonologist, and an Immunologist. It is important to know the pathophysiology, clinical manifestation and medical management to properly treat the disease. Pathophysiology Asthma is a chronic disease that affects the breathing tubes that carry air in and out of the lungs. (Arshad, S. H., Babu, K. s., 2009). Asthma is sometimes referred to as bronchial asthma. With asthma, the airways are inflamed, therefore ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Not everybody s body responds the same to medications. Medications for asthma are categorized in three categories: anti inflammatory, bronchodilators, and leukotriene modifiers, (Types of Asthma, n.d.). Anti inflammatory agents, suppress inflammation. Bronchodilators relax smooth muscle contraction which helps with the narrowing of the bronchial tubes. Leukotrienes interrupt the chemical signaling inside the body that can lead to inflammation and constriction. One kind of anti inflammatory is a corticosteroid. This the most potent and effective kind. A anti inflammatory that is commonly prescribed to children is called Cromolyn Sodium and Nedocromil (Types of Asthma, n.d.). Inhalers are also used in the treatment of asthma. Two types of inhalers are long term and quick relief. Long term inhalers help for longer periods of time and quick relief is a in the moment type of thing. Providers recommended decreasing being around allergens that can trigger asthma. When patients are taking medications, sometimes they begin to feel better and show no symptoms for some time, but this is confusing to them. They see it as oh I m better I can stop taking my medication. That is not the case because asthma can flare up ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Radiofrequency Exposure Exposure of the human to radiofrequency( RF) radiation can occur from several sources, including the use of personal devices (mobile phones, cordless phones, Wi Fi, Bluetooth, amateur radios, etc.), occupational sources (high frequency dielectric and induction heaters, broadcast antennas, high power pulsed radars, and medical appliances), and environmental sources (mobile phone base stations, broadcast antennae). [1] One of the most common tools we see these days is that of people with their mobile phones next to their ears. Mobile phones are low powered RF transmitters, with frequencies between 450 2700 MHz, operating through a network of base stations, with power in the range of 0.1 2 W transmitted through an antenna used close to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... [3] The FCC s exposure guidelines delineate an SAR of 1.6 W/kg, averaged over 1 g of tissue, as the safe limit for a mobile phone user and every handset should comply with this limit before FCC approval is granted for marketing of a phone in the United States. However, less restrictive limits, e.g., 2 W/kg averaged over 10 g of tissue, are specified by the International Commission on Non Ionising Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) guidelines, endorsed by WHO, and used in Europe and most other countries. [7] Exposure of a user to RF declines rapidly with increasing distance from the handset. A person using a mobile phone 30 40 cm away from the body, i.e., using speaker mode while talking or using a hands free device, e.g., bluetooth headsets, will have a much lower exposure than someone holding the handset against the head. [2] Several devices which claim to increase the safety of mobile phone use such as., shielded cases, earpiece pads/shields, antenna clips/caps, special batteries, and absorbing buttons, decrease exposures by a factor of 10, they have the danger of adversely affecting the phone s antenna, due to which the phone will attempt to ... • 4. Paul Bogard s Let There Be Dark In his article Let There Be Dark , Paul Bogard builds a persuasive argument through a series of effective examples that natural darkness needs to be preserved. To prove his main argument, Bogard implements facts and statistics about the negative effects of light pollution such as the carcinogenic effects of a lack of darkness, the dependency of flora and fauna on natural darkness, and the inspiration sparked through the stillness provided by darkness. Even though humans are the only living things contributing to artificial light at night, the decreasing amount of natural darkness is negatively affecting people s health. For most people, this problem does not seem evident, since we still spend about eight hours every day sleeping in darkness. Bogard makes this issue seem more tangible by classifying the job of working the night shift as a carcinogen, stating that our bodies need darkness to produce the hormone melatonin, which keeps certain cancers from developing, and our bodies need darkness for sleep. Even with numerous vaccines and innovative treatments, cancer remains to be everyone s worst nightmare. This example is effective because it uses pathos to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When listing a series of animals affected by the decreasing amount of natural darkness, Bogard strengthens his argument by including a relatively unknown but helpful animal, the bats that save American farmers billions in pest control. By relating how animals can be beneficial to humans, the targeted audience, the author makes the argument more persuasive by presenting the reader with one of the many benefits of natural darkness. While a negative quality, people tend to change their ways only if they find personal benefit towards it. Bogard s decision to demonstrate how bats, an animal dependent on natural darkness, can economically benefit farmers, effectively persuades readers to want to preserve ... • 5. The Clause Of Indian Land In Chapter 6, Wilkins discusses how the disclaimer clauses. These clauses keep states from exercising authority on Indian land (180). They are an important but often overlooked tool in the arsenal available to tribes to assert their own sovereignty against state threats (177). A specific example of a disclaimer clause is Wisconsin s territorial disclaimer of 1836 which prohibited territories or states from having any authority on Indian land (180). In Native American Church v. Navajo Tribal Council (1959) it was declared that Indian tribes actually have a higher status than states (179). This was a major victory for Indians in their fight for sovereignty. United States v. Rickert (1903) was also a win for sovereignty in that the Court prohibited South Dakota from taxing Indian land (185).After the verdict in Seminole Tribe v. Florida (1996), the balance of power between state and federal government leaned towards the states. Before this, negotiations with tribes had been conducted at the federal level and not with states (187). This was against the idea of sovereignty because now the states had more power over the tribes and could abuse that power for personal gain. In United States v. McBratney (1881), McBratney tried to argue that the federal government had no authority over a crime that occurred on Indian Territory, despite the fact that both parties were white. The Court ruled that since Colorado had not expressly renounced jurisdiction over the Ute Indian ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Coming of the Spanish and the Pueblo Revolt (Hopi) The Coming of the Spanish and the Pueblo Revolt (Hopi) The Coming of the Spanish and the Pueblo Revolt (Hopi) illustrates how the interactions of two distinctly different groups of people inevitably change the dynamics of each group, collectively and individually. This story is told from the Hopi perspective, but the outcome of the Pueblo Revolt is historically validated. It is the events described in this story that show how the Hopi and the Spaniards change by contact with each other. A few of the changes for the Hopi were the upheaval of their Utopian like existence by the arrival of the Spaniards, the need to practice their religion secretly, and the determination to use violence to defend their own, even though it was ... • 7. Martin Luther And John Calvin Views On Sinful People Martin Luther and John Calvin Views on Sinful People Justification by faith (Sola Fide), the core value of the Reformation, is the belief that righteousness from God is a recompense for sinner s accounts through faith alone. The sixteenth century movement for the reform of abuses in the Roman Catholic Church resulted in the establishment of the Reformed and Protestant Churches. Reformers like Martin Luther and John Calvin were two of the most significant figures in the history of The Reformation. They both proclaimed Justification as the main subject of the gospel of God s grace. They were well acknowledged for their common doctrines of salvation as the deliverance from sin and its consequences. They believed that to be brought ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To compare Martin Luther s and John Calvin s view on the subject of a sinful person, I thoroughly looked into their common doctrines and considered how they differ in implementing the rules that manage their ideology. I was able to conclude that even though Luther and Calvin shared similar doctrines, their conceptualization and interpretation of those doctrines is very different. Based on their opinions of sinners, I further realized that not only do they have divergent interpretations of similar doctrines, but they also have different ambitions and their personalities are extreme opposites. Luther often blamed the flesh, which Protestants refer to as our sinful nature (they believed is the cause of human impurities), for the sins of every human and he gave credit to the Spirit for every good things that man does. The Reformers and the Protestants believe that there are two types of spirits: the Holy Spirit, which they proclaim to be the spirit of God, and the human spirit, which is the part of humans that opens up to the spirit of God. The spirit that is often

Descriptive Essay On Sculptures As the sun started to settling down, you walked into a wonderful museum full of figure sculptures to which the natural spot light shines from the sun hit the wonderful master pieces. Then you walk more deeply inside an exhibition room, suddenly, you notice that you are surrendered by medium size to large sculptures. One sculpture that is space equally to one an another, but they all have no cloth on. As you tend to get closer and closer and the story of the sculptures reveal more details of what is the sculpture tell you like a story telling. Even the details of the bodies tend to give of a more muscle structures. When looking at a stone sign above, you notice that you are in a theme of nude figure sculptures. In the center were the four main sculptures which is in order from finest pick from the museum and three from the class room lecture. They are The Lansdown Athlete, the Roman copy of the Lysippos, and Roman copy after a Greek original by Praxiteles, Hermes and the Infant Dionysos. From my opinion is that the sculptures are in nude because they tell us that the sculptures are goddesses or a recreation of a person that is not real. The nude sculpture is one who is not wearing cloth or less who which it shows our body parts. Most of the sculptures are made out of stone, marble, and bronze. They are shown in large structure or a human size. All figures are mostly made in Greek Late Classical to Hellenistic, thus the artist show more details in human body structures. For ... Lessons from Operation Eagle Claw The execution of military operations requires the application of certain fundamental principles, and tenets that have been the keystone of strategy development and conflict planning, since the appearance of organized forces. In addition to these tenets and principles, the military relies on the experience of front line leaders, and lessons learned to ensure operations evolve to focus on current and emerging threats. Currently, the United States military is waging wars on two fronts, Iraq and Afghanistan. To be successful, these operations require the coordinated efforts of all branches of service, Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. Getting the helicopters staged at Desert One proved more difficult than initially imagined. Even before the initial wave of the helicopters reached Desert One, the mission experienced a loss due to pilot unfamiliarity with the warning signals of the Navy helicopter. This incident reduced the available helicopters for the mission, from eight to seven. The weather dealt the mission its second blow. As the helicopters continued toward Desert One, they encountered severe sandstorms. The sandstorms proved difficult for the pilots. One pilot became disoriented and turned back, once again reducing the number of available helicopters, which now stood at six. Once the remaining six helicopters arrived at Desert One, the operation was ready to proceed. As aircraft and Delta Force operators were positioned in the final stages for execution, one of the final six helicopters experienced a hydraulic problem that caused the safety of the craft to be called into question. Ultimately, this malfunction issued the final blow to the troubled mission. After the order to abort was confirmed and evacuation initiated, as if to add insult to injury, the already failed mission received one final fatal blow. While repositioning for departure, one of the five remaining helicopters passed too closely to a parked C 130 cargo plane. The rotors of the helicopter clipped the C 130 and sparked an explosion that ultimately killed eight military members. It was later ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Katsu Kokichi’S Autobiography, “Musui’S Story,” Documents Katsu Kokichi s autobiography, Musui s Story, documents the life of a samurai in Japan s late Tokugawa period who adopted the name Musui in his retirement. Katsu is something of a black sheep within his family, being largely uneducated and deemed unfit for the bureaucratic office s samurai of his standing were expected to hold. As such, he typifies in many ways the lower ronin, or masterless samurai, many of whom famously led roaming, directionless lives and wreaked havoc among the urban poor and merchant classes. The novel addresses the decaying power of samurai throughout the Tokugawa period and depicts their struggle to find purpose. Throughout the story, Katsu is impacted by three interconnected systems of power that impact his life ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, the challenges of this economic power come through forms of temptations that plagued Japanese men at the time. These include drinking, smoking, gambling, and prostitution. For instance, during his youth, Katsu was [tricked] into going with [Karoku] to the pleasure quarters in the Yoshiwara. [He] enjoyed himself immensely and after that went every night. [He] used up all his money (Musui 44). In this section, Katsu exhibits a lack of self control over his money. His behavior is representative of many low level samurai throughout Tokugawa Japan. These irresponsible economic decisions combine with pre existing financial disparity to place samurai largely in debt. Similarly, these districts were often seen as an escape for samurai and members of the lower class. Just before Katsu has fled home for the second time, he says To take my mind off my woes, I went to the Yoshiwara (Musui 60). Many samurai were disheartened by the fact they were indebted to merchants and had no true purpose in life. As an escape, they fled to districts like the Yoshiwara. Ultimately, economic power is created by a flourishing economy and is challenged by the temptations of man. Domestic power comes from family lineage and is used to determine social status/class. The Japanese class system prohibits individuals from moving between classes to maintain the power of the Daimyo and Shogun. Moreover, domestic power resides in the level of respect granted to ... Caesar took many decisions in his hands and this put paid to the Roman senate. They wanted him out, but he had the hearts of the Roman people. They could not attack him publicly because they would risk their own lives. They had to find a way out of this predicament. The final straw for the Roman politicians was when Julius Caesar refused the crown three times in front of the crowd. Caesar has refused, saying he was not the king and therefore not eligible to wear that crown. He lived up to the expectation of his people and did all that was required of him. He spent so much time making Rome an empire to be feared that many politicians thought it was all for his own good. They felt he made Rome a very powerful country because he wanted to rule and wanted the power all to himself. Julius Caesar was a spellbinding orator and a ruthless politician, although he was merciful in victory, understanding that such favors would return political dividends. He was also a military genius and his legions loved him for his courage and skill, and for fighting bareheaded among their ranks. Death had been personified to help children comprehend the concept of passing away. This picture book is about how Death follows the Duck everywhere and anywhere the Duck goes. The objectified version of Death does not cause the Duck any harm or lead the Duck to death, however Death follows the Duck because death is unexpected. Although Death is objectified in this book, it s the conscience that allows the thought of death to linger in one s life because the Duck was illustrated to be surprised when Death had shown up. This allows children to interpret it in their own ways while comprehending the theme of the story. In continuation, I believe the illustrations affect reception because the simplistic contrasting images could have various interpretations and it is up to the person reading the content on how they would like to interpret each picture. However, the theme affects popular appeal because death as a theme for a children s book is a sensitive topic for children to comprehend. The three methods are: OSSTMM Method, DOS and VMs penetrations testing. A penetration test is a method to evaluate the security of a system or computer network. This method allows to simulate an attack and find exploitable vulnerabilities to propose an action plan to improve the security. There are two types of penetration testing: the pentest in Black Box or pentest in White Box. The pentester in Black Box mode really puts in the skin of an external attacker, he has no information on the target. The pentester in White Box mode work in collaboration with the DSI and the technical team in order to get maximum information for the penetration test. The objective of pentester can vary according to context:  List a set of information found in one way or another, and which may be sensitive or critical.  List the vulnerabilities or weaknesses in the security system that can be exploited.  Demonstrate that a potential attacker s capacity to find vulnerabilities and exploit them to break into the information system.  Test the effectiveness of intrusion detection systems and responsiveness of the security team, and sometimes users.  Perform a final presentation and reporting its progress and its findings to the client.  Provide ideas and advise on methods of resolution and correction of discovered vulnerabilities.
