Efforts to achieve empowerment focus on education, self-employment, health, and legal rights. Examples of government schemes to promote empowerment are also provided. The document concludes by highlighting some notable women who have worked to empower women across different fields such as education, health, and self-reliance.

Entrepreneurship and women empowerment-PPT about successful women EntrepreneursKaruppan Gnanasambandan
Empowerment of Women is mainly based on their economic independence. Entrepreneurship will be a powerful tool for them to earn their income. Right or Respect? which one to choose. Simply seeking rights is of no use. Women were most respected lot in India in olden days. It is because of the British legacy we forgot our culture and started using women instead of respecting them.
Women Empowerment : Reservation with ProtectionApurv Londhe
Women Needs to be empowered to make there situation better . The answer is education , employment and ecourage them in social activities . Only reservation won't empower women's situation in India But rather it is a best way to contribute for the empowerment of India . According to me women could be empowered through three ways - 1. Education 2. Employment - i.e Economic Empowerment 3. Sociall Empowerment !!
But being seen the will of our polititian for Reservation in Loksabha , The Bill is still pending is the saddest thing . The President of INC - is a Women , Hon' Speaker of Loksabha is a Women and also Opposition Leader of Loksabha is a WOmen Still and still womens situation in India is not too good , and still the bill is pending .!!!
I am not saying that the bill is only solution put I am damn sure that bill is part of solution !! If womens are led to be the part of the system they could change them and could make other women empower ,
This is what Empowering Women by Women i.e what Empowering Women Empowering India !!!
A study onwomenentrepreneurshipinharyanatheirdevelopmentandmainconstraintsAnuragSingh1049
Increased female entrepreneurial activity heralds a progress for women’s rights and optimization of their economic and social living index. Women entrepreneurship is synonymous with women empowerment. Parallel to the male counterparts, female entrepreneurs are catalytic in job creation, innovation and more than tangible contribution to the GNP of the country. An economy thrives when women get a level playing field as men. Innovation works as a catalyst or an instrument for Entrepreneurship. Indian Women, despite all the social hurdles stand tall from the rest of the crowd and are applauded for their achievements in their respective field. The transformation of social fabric of the Indian society, in terms of increased educational status of women and varied aspirations for better living, necessitated a change in the life style of Indian women. This paper endeavors to explore studies related to Women Entrepreneurship and Innovation in India. Few examples from Haryana, India have been taken to understand the study in a better way.
The PowerPoint presentation is all about the need for empowerment, existing problems, and gender equality. (Also an interview transcript is attached with the PPT)

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

7. A Poem Of Reflection:
We had our first argument last night, and he said a lot of
cruel things that really hurt me.
I know he is sorry and didn’t mean the things he said, because
he sent me FLOWERS TODAY
I got FLOWERS TODAY. It wasn’t our anniversary or any
other special day.
Last night he threw me into a wall and started to choke me.
It seemed like a nightmare, I couldn’t believe it was real.
I woke up this morning sore and bruised all over.
I know he must be sorry because he sent me FLOWERS TODAY
I GOT flowers today, and it wasn’t Mother’s Day or any other
special day.
Last night, he beat me up again, it was much worse than all
the other times
If I leave him what will I do? How will I take care of my
kids?
What about money? I am afraid of him and scared to
leave.

in huge numbers in bidi-rolling, agarbatti-
rolling, bangle making, weaving, brassware,
leather, crafts and other industries.

Status of Japanese working women in dilemma
The Deafening Silence: Asian American women in the whirlpool of depression
Women’s life at risk because of acid attacks in Ethiopia
37% women victims of domestic violence: NFH survey
Almost half of Indian women have not heard of AIDS
Married women, children most anaemic in India
Women are killed in China to become brides of dead men
20. Why it should be?
Reflecting into the “Vedas purana” of Indian culture, woman
is being worshiped such as LAXMI MAA, goddess of wealth;
SARASWATI MAA, for wisdom; DURGA MAA, for power.
The status of women in India, particularly in rural areas
needs to address the issue of empowering women.
Leaving a meager number of urban and suburban women,
the Indian women are still crying for simple justice. Which is
not even allowed to have been accessed to them
Ironically, women have not actively participated in their own
emancipation mainly due to low economic independence.
With their age, they have been raped, kicked, killed,
subdued & humiliated almost daily.
21. Contd……
About 66% of the female population in rural area is
unutilized. This is mainly due to existing social
customs.
In agriculture & animal care the women contribute
90% of the total work force.
Women constitute almost half of the population,
perform nearly 2/3rd of its work hours, receive
1/10th of the world’s income & own less than
1/100th of the world property.
Among the world’s 900 million illiterate people,
women out number men two to one.
70% of people living in poverty are women.
Lower sex ratio i.e. 933.
22. Contd….
The male child perceived as an asset for the
landless rural labourer, a dowry earner for a
greedy middle class family and a simple matter of
pride for the mother.
The existing studies show that the women are
relatively less healthy than men even though, they
belong to same class.
They constitute less than 1/7th of the
administrators & managers in developing
countries.
Only 10% seats in world’s parliament & 6% in
national cabinets are held by them.
23. HISTORY
It dates back to the 1970s and the beginnings of
the international women's movement.
Many women's organizations worldwide set up
credit and savings components as a way of both
enabling women to increase their incomes and
come together to address wider gender issues.
Not only 'reaching women' but 'empowering' them
is the second official goal of the Micro credit
summit programme.
24. Contd…..
Women's empowerment is not a Northern concept.
Women all over the world, including countries in
the South, have been challenging and changing
gender inequalities since the beginnings of history.
These struggles have also been supported by
many men who have been outraged at injustices
against women.
25. What are the main problems?
Lack of education,
Financial constraint,
Family responsibility,
Low mobility,
Low ability to bear risk,
Low need for achievement,
Absence of ambition for the
achievement,
Social status.
31. How to achieve it?
One of the strategies is “EDUCATION” that builds
a positive self-image and boosts self-confidence
among them & develops their ability to think
critically.
Promoting self-employment, through credit &
training.
Providing lean season wage employment.
Addressing minimum needs such as nutrition,
health, sanitation, housing & education.
Direct involvement of women who are likely to be
affected by development programme.
Providing saving habit among them.
32. Efforts
Sarva shiksha abhiyan: the flagship programme of
elementary education has special focus on girl
child.

representation for girl child would contribute

Indira mahila Yojana (IMY): 1995
Women Entrepreneur Development Programme:
Given top priority in 1997-98.

35. Achievement
.
Women have more opportunities for education and stronger
legal rights in many countries, they are taking leadership
roles in local communities, and stand at the forefront of the
peace movement
Perhaps the greatest change will come when women and
men agree to work together for gender equality.
International Women's Rights Agreements --Women's rights are
well-established by international agreements, notably the
international Convention on Eradication of Discrimination Against
Women (CEDAW), which explicitly include women within the
definition of 'human' and hence in all International Human Rights
Conventions.
