WOMEN INJUSTICE IN INDIA
(Past tradition Vs. Modern values)
In rural India most of the rape cases are solved by
the panchayat head by making the victim marry the
rapist irrespective of her age and choice
In parts of India, there is a strong preference for
having sons. Girls can be perceived as a
financial burden for the family due to small
income contributions and costly dowry
demands.
Child marriage continues to put young girls at
great risk for too-early pregnancy and other
sexual and reproductive health issues.
In this male dominating society innocent women are
often treated as the source to release the frustration of
their male counter part in every possible way

Believe it or not when it comes to gender
inequities India fares worse than Pakistan.
In fact, the country fares lower than all
other countries in South Asia save
Afghanistan. These are the findings of the
2010 Human Development Report
released by the United Nations
Development Programme on Thursday as
per its Gender Inequality Index.
So while Pakistan may be in the news for
its treatment of women and might have
become a hot bed for international
women's activism, it certainly seems to
know how to take care of its mothers
better. On maternal mortality, India --
with its abysmal record -- trails Pakistan.
India is worse than Pakistan
on gender equality
 It is the greatest example of physical abuse
towards women.
 Mentality from birth- uneducated
 In New Delhi, quoted in the media- women
is raped every 18 hours and molested every
14 hours
 Hundreds of other attacks are never
reported
 Silenced among women for years
 Recent strong public outcry and global
awareness
 More than 220000 incidents were reported
in 2011 alone according to indian
government statistics.
 It is also due to the hybrid of indian and
western culture
 In recent times many new rules have been
made over this issue after the famous delhi
rape case.
No particular
person is
responsible for
this
devastating
situation of
woman in our
country .Its we
, the people of
India together
responsible for
it
The main
problem for
the
deterioration
of women
power in India
is the lack of
self confidence
of Indian
women over
themselves
and over the
entire system
In India it’s
not that we
don’t have
rules n
regulations.
There is a bulk
of rules for the
women
empowerment
n safety but
what lacks in
our country is
the lack of
consequences.
As it is said that
half baked
knowledge is
very harmful
similarly it can
be said that half
baked
development can
also be harmful.
In this modern
India people
have started
living for show
off.
Westernisation
has influenced
the people of our
country but even
the
westernization is
not full it’s the
partial
influence..
People here want
to show they are
developed. But
somewhere
within they have
that cultural sort
of mind
Suppose we have a lady politician in short clothes and drunk and that
too at midnight ,even if she goes alone nothing will happen to her
because it has a consequence. But for a normal girl even thinking like
this is something..” oh my god!! Are you mad???”
Lack of consequences also doesn’t mean that nothing happens..in
about 50% of the cases the actions are taken but there are two factors
that affect the consequence to proceed further are :-
First is the slow judicial system which takes several years to take
decision even over a worldwide fact.
And the second factor is power and money. In India people who have
both of these things are just like self proclaimed God..They feel they
can do anything, and that’ s the truth anyway.
Whatever is happening in the present india is
due to the time lag between crime and justice
•A group of specially trained woman to tackle different solution
assisted by some police constable should be appointed in each and
every corner of the country
•This group of woman can be contacted by each and every woman
whenever they face any problem
•A common emergency number will be initiated so that the person
in problem can contact them anytime from any part
•Even if this type of plan exist it is not executed properly ,so proper
execution of plan should be brought into act
A step that can act
beneficial………………….
Women should learn to believe in the law by the govertment.
Whenever you WOMEN face a problem, instead of calling to home
and crying before your parent, learn to approach the law, make
them work, they are there for our service.
All the above mentioned solutions are very common infact they are they are
basic necessities for the mission of woman empowerment but for all these to
get into ACTION A SPARK HAS TO BE INDUCED IN EACH AND EVERY
WOMAN OF OUR COUNTRY SO THAT WHEN THESE SPARKS BECOME
UNITED THEY FORM A FLAME AND THE HEAT OF THAT FLAME WILL
DEMOLISH ALL THESE SOCIAL CRIMES OVER WOMEN
To remove these problems
the mentality of people
should be first
improved……………
Educational tour should be
made to every corner of
country making them
understand the need and way
of living in these developing
India. They must be taught to
overcome this gap between
PAST TRADITION AND
MODERN VALUES
So using this platform we want to appeal the citizens of
india that no individual can remove this problem alone. A
colletive step hs to be taken . Eacj an every individual of the
society must realise the role he /she plays in the
empowerment and safety of woman
For women:
Now its high time , build up your confidence!!!!
Your are no less than men.
Wake up from your sleep, and move the mountain.
For men:
Your sister your mother , your girlfriend are not the only one’s
existing in this universe. So what you expect others to do n behave
must also do the same with others..”
