Life Coaching in Agile Thinking (Agile Coaching Circles Meetup, September 201...Victoria Schiffer
My session on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMuX-MILLck
My speaker profile: http://lanyrd.com/profile/erdbeervogel/
I love being around awesome people, who build great products customers desire.
I love learning from and together with these amazing minds.
I love creating the right environment for teams to flourish.
I love change, and learning from new experiences.
I love working in Agile environments.
How about you?
I bet there are some elements of this list why you're in Agile, too. And you can probably add even more elements to it.
The Agile Manifesto states amongst others individuals and interactions, customer collaboration and responding to change.
In our everyday life doing Agile we already respect these aspects in many ways.
But do we practice what we preach as best we can?
I'd like to challenge your current way of thinking about people and processes.
I'd like to challenge you to focus on you, before you focus on others.
I'd like to challenge your current way of reflecting.
I'd like to inspire you to go different ways.
I'd like to inspire you to inspire others.
Come along to be inspired by Life Coaching and thus to benefit our Agile Thinking!
I've done a 140 seconds session on "What the thinker thinks, the prover proves" this year. This can be a teaser of what you can expect from my session :)

These are slides shared during the opening keynote address of the 2013 TechKnowledgey Conference in Missoula, Montanta, on August 7, 2013, by Wesley Fryer. As exponential digital changes continue to transform the ways people communicate around the world, we are challenged as educators to consider not only how we help students learn but "toward what ends" we help students learn. The goals of this presentation were to challenge audience members' ideas about both school and learning, inspire attendees to "do magic" with technology and students, and persuade educators to radically create and share.
Communication lessons from 5 minutes of awkward silenceDaniel J. Lewis
Learn how to communicate better!
For this presentation, I was awkwardly silent for my 5 minutes while I bodily illustrated points with gestures and intentional movements.
I presented this at Ignite Cincinnati 8. Each slide was displayed for only 15 seconds. Ignite conferences are extremely loud, so this presentation stood out for being silent and well designed.
From PodCamp Ohio 2. Each slide transitions to the next with a sliding effect, revealing it to be a giant, seamless template.
"Don't spam me, bro!" Tips, tricks, tools, and thought-provoking ideas for building a community around your organization through Twitter, but minus the spamming.

Simple design principles and easy tips to transform your site from worthless to wonderful without being an artist
This presentation was as support for my live presentation to an audience of about 700 speakers. This is just a sample of the presentation, and the smooth, subtle animation effects are missing. Please note how each slide template is designed to perfectly transition to the next. This was part of a huge, seamless template that I designed for my presentation.
This presentation is given in-person with the slideshow support sometimes when I travel. For the sake of SlideShare.net, I condensed it and cut out all of the videos that I use through the presentation. Although one image shows a copyright by Answers in Genesis, I was the designer and have full permission to use the imagery.

Then welcome to this PowSyBl workshop, hosted by Rte, the French Transmission System Operator (TSO)!
During the webinar, you will discover the PowSyBl ecosystem as well as handle and study an electrical network through an interactive Python notebook.
PowSyBl is an open source project hosted by LF Energy, which offers a comprehensive set of features for electrical grid modelling and simulation. Among other advanced features, PowSyBl provides:
- A fully editable and extendable library for grid component modelling;
- Visualization tools to display your network;
- Grid simulation tools, such as power flows, security analyses (with or without remedial actions) and sensitivity analyses;
The framework is mostly written in Java, with a Python binding so that Python developers can access PowSyBl functionalities as well.
What you will learn during the webinar:
- For beginners: discover PowSyBl's functionalities through a quick general presentation and the notebook, without needing any expert coding skills;
- For advanced developers: master the skills to efficiently apply PowSyBl functionalities to your real-world scenarios.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
