I grew up in social housing and want to help the sector. My journey includes time in the RAF, a project management degree, and working for several social housing providers implementing a social housing project life cycle. I now help social housing providers assess and improve their project delivery through best practice assessments, customizing and implementing the social housing project life cycle, and targeted training sessions.

Grew up in
Plymouth
In a social housing home provided
by Guinness Trust
Provided me with a secure home and my own room
where I could whizz my toy cars around the carpet

4. The love of
Flying
Joined the Air Cadets where I
experienced Flying.
Decided to join the Royal Air Force (RAF)
as an engineer when I left school
While in the RAF one of my projects
was to set up a flying school

5. Left the RAF and did a
degree in Project
Management
Worked as a Project Manager for
lots of different companies in many
different industry sectors

6. Joining Social Housing
In 2012 I got the opportunity
to join Bromford Housing
and give back to social housing
It was then that I started developing
the Social Housing Project Life Cycle.
This enables social housing providers
to deliver projects better.

8. Relocated to the South
West of England I joined Knightstone Housing and
continued to work on how social
housing providers can do project better
Knightstone merged with
Devon and Cornwall Homes
to form LiveWest

9. Following Knightstone
merger moved to
Alliance Homes
Initially joined to implement a
repairs joint venture between
Alliance Homes and United Communities
Project was successfully delivered on time and under budget.
Stayed with Alliance Homes for a further 18 months to embed
a project management function so projects could be delivered
better.
