Many Asian creative firms are good at working hard for their clients but are weak at evolving their own business models. I shared our insights with Singapore creative firms from Architecture, Interior and Landscape on the 16th Sept at the National Design Centre of Singapore on how they can redesign their business models to sustain global expansion. Finally as a member of DBCS Business Connect, I shared ideas on how we can enhance collaboration among us.
In today’s fast paced organization setting, staff and managers increasingly face situations that require critical decision making in an atmosphere of uncertainty and time pressure. Breaking down a problem and assessing the outcomes of different options is neither simple nor straight forward. High-quality decisions are essential for strong business performance, but only a few people get the coaching they need to make good decisions consistently, with clarity and confidence.
Thales Learning & Development Customer Open Day 23rd May 2014Jenny Mudd
How many Thales Learning & Development customers does it take to build a bridge?
We found out the answer to that question last Friday when we held an open day event at our learning centre.
We showcased some of our latest L&D interventions, including leadership games, videos of our experiential learning, what’s new in Microsoft Office 2013 and how project management can be applied in unexpected scenarios. It was a really fun day for us, and we’ve had lots of positive feedback already. The cupcakes didn’t go down too badly either!

Oprah Winfrey: A Leader in Media, Philanthropy, and Empowerment | CIO Women M...CIOWomenMagazine

The case study discusses the potential of drone delivery and the challenges that need to be addressed before it becomes widespread.
Key takeaways:
Drone delivery is in its early stages: Amazon's trial in the UK demonstrates the potential for faster deliveries, but it's still limited by regulations and technology.
Regulations are a major hurdle: Safety concerns around drone collisions with airplanes and people have led to restrictions on flight height and location.
Other challenges exist: Who will use drone delivery the most? Is it cost-effective compared to traditional delivery trucks?
Discussion questions:
Managerial challenges: Integrating drones requires planning for new infrastructure, training staff, and navigating regulations. There are also marketing and recruitment considerations specific to this technology.
External forces vary by country: Regulations, consumer acceptance, and infrastructure all differ between countries.
Demographics matter: Younger generations might be more receptive to drone delivery, while older populations might have concerns.
Stakeholders for Amazon: Customers, regulators, aviation authorities, and competitors are all stakeholders. Regulators likely hold the greatest influence as they determine the feasibility of drone delivery.

Pravin Nath - Partner and Director at Foresight Group International AG
White Ladder’s workshops have always been truly enlightening and invigorating. In
this particular workshop we wanted to drive home elements of the Foresight core
values. The White Ladder team was able to quickly grasp the underlying philosophy
of the identified core values via a couple meetings with our senior management
and translate the same into interactive learning. White Ladder interventions have
always been appropriately designed and successfully executed.
Ankur Sharma - Corporate Health, Safety & Environment Manager, Nestle India
We had done a one day workshop with White Ladder Consulting (Innovation and
Communication - pan Asia SH&E team. Feedback from the team was excellent and it was
amazing to see the high energy and engagement injected into the session. Lots of takeaways
from the workshop - both personal as well as professional. We look forward to more
workshops from White ladder Consulting.

comes to real time execution. Very Impressive.
