“Three poets in three distant ages born
Greece, Italy and England did adorn;
The first in loftiness of thought surpassed.
The second in majesty; in both the last.”
Christopher Marlowe's Edward the Second...A Critical Evaluation, The Way I do..Rituparna Ray Chaudhuri
“Marlowe wrote Edward The Second in 1590. He found a suitable tragic theme in the Holinshed’s account of Edward II’s reign though it was not a promising dramatic material from the chronological point of view as the events were disjointed and uninspiring disastrous. Improper coordinates of the sources has left its mark on Marlowe’s play, nevertheless, this is his most finished and satisfactory of plays…Edward The Second can surely be regarded as Marlowe’s finest technical achievement.” (Edited, Dr. S. LITERATURE I UPHELD- THE ROMANTICS AND SUBJECTIVITY: SAMUEL TAYLOR COLERIDGERituparna Ray Chaudhuri
Coleridge's Treatment of nature and the Tranquillity : The phenomenal description on own thoughts regard me to describe Coleridge, along with William Wordsworth, was instrumental in initiating a poetic revolution in the early nineteenth century which is known as the Romantic Movement. Coleridge invokes the Divine Spirit that blows upon the wild Harp of Time. Time is like the stringed musical instrument on which the Spirit produces sweet harmonious melodies. Coleridge is perhaps best known for his haunting ballad Rime of Ancient Mariner, the dream-like Kubla Khan and the unfinished Christabel, but he wrote several other smaller poems, quite remarkable for their imaginative power. Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
2. “I AM RITUPARNA RAY CHAUDHURI,
HERE WITH MY STUDENTS AND THEIR
GENERAL VIEWS ON DISCUSSION OF
THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE.”
3. “My endeavours were directed to persons and characters
supernatural, or at least romantic; yet so as to transfer from our
inward nature a human interest and semblance of truth, sufficient to
procure for these shadows of imagination that willing suspension of
disbelief for the moment which constitute of poetic faith, is also to
what I call Literature. For the purpose, of creating an atmosphere of
realism the creature sometimes personifies the Forces of Nature and
invests them with human qualities: the Sun, the Moon, the Storm
blast have all been personified substrates with things are seen at a
distance looks very small and vague. As they come nearer, they look
bigger and clearer. What more scientifically accurate description of
the phantom ship(as it appears to the Mariner) can there be then in
the lines:-
FROM THE DESK OF RITUPARNA RAY CHAUDHURI
4. "At first it seemed a little speck
And then it seemed a mist,
It moved and moved, and took at last
A certain shape, I wist" is successful what in rendering, the
supernatural real enough to the reader, not only while reading
the poem, but even afterwards; for he conveys a sense of a
whole reality in which the supernatural exists without
difficulty ;saying that here the natural ends and the
supernatural begins INVESTS HIS TALES WITH 'A HUMAN
INTEREST' AND 'A SEMBLANCE OF TRUTH '' AND
CONSEQUENTLY PRODUCES 'WILLING SUSPENSION OF
DISBELIEF' FOR THE MOMENT, IN THE READER'S MIND, is my
Salvation.” (EDITED FROM A BOOK, WITH SOME
ADDITIONAL TOUGHTS..)

6. “WORD:- Human beings have taken certain noises and give them
meanings. People speaking different languages may utter different
noise with the same meaning, such as, “cat” in English; “chat” in
French; “Katz ” in German.
VERBAL POVERTY:- In order to bring one in the limelight, he needs
to get a clear pronunciation skill, accent, fluency, free of grammatical
errors, clarity in utterances and confidence.
However , till date the world is suffering from the verbosity of
language and perennial of mispronunciations.
GIFT OF DIVINITY:- The gift of creativity is just like a diamond. It is
present in every individuals in different aspects. One’s casket of
diamond (i.e., honour of creativity) reflects one’s global glory.”

7. “Creativity can cure a person of uncertainties.
It can brew glory and self confidence in a
person, which farther helps to instil self
exposure, exposure is the act of unveiling the
doubts and pretensions, and it is to embrace
the real and ideal identity of a person. We can
only gain self exposure when we have been
cured of doubts and fearfulness regarding the
subject. After having the discussion on the
topic among the scholars of different
standards, the average result was lack of grip
and creativity, inability to converse in fluent
English, inefficiency in writing skills.”
AGNIMITA
MUKHERJEE
8. “Certain students marked out their inefficiency in
speaking fluent English which comes as a
irritation and discouragement to brave the
language. Many figured out the paucity in the
proper teaching method which results in the
unenthusiastic and neglectful attire towards the
subject. It is humiliating for many students to
come out of their comfort zone and reveal their
inability as they are aware of the indifference of
educators, inequality among scholars by labelling
them as ‘mediocre’ and ‘brilliant’ only hampers
their courage and psychologically depresses them
to ever expose themselves globally.”
SUBARNA CHAKRABARTY
9. KUNTAL
SARKAR
“To stress on Writing Skill and
Resources, to have a proper group
discussion under a proper guidance,
with fluency on proper accents to speak
on the language, to make students to get
free from grammatical fuss are some of
also immediate steps, I think to be
taken.”

“The language is not my mother tongue.
It is a foreign language. Hence, to get
acquaint with the language, I have to
stress more on every norm and of the
way that to be particularly adopted very
soon, I should get myself to expound.”
*(Words helped by RITUPARNA RAY
CHAUDHURI.)
11. “Too much stress on every subject, yet also on
regard to the foreign language we want to know
the correct way to pronounce a word, to grow self-
ability to express ourselves more on the Language
so that to write from own some paragraphs or
compositions, to read the matter of the Language
using proper dialects, and so on alike.”
TAULIK PAUL
12. “Practice and Self –Efficiency, with a
proper guide anywhere in a place is
altogether needed to get to be
improved on the language.”
NAVANIL
SAHA
15. “The students, in general have so many
aspirations and inspirations. Let the system
and management on depending on their
Psychological Stress fulfil their wants and need
of knowledge on the Language, to whom many
of interviewed students in front of us called too
“The Gift of Divinity”. It was amazing for us
when we noticed, some of them even too were
