This document describes the design of a smart wheelchair that can be controlled via smartphone. It contains sections on the components needed including an Arduino microcontroller, Bluetooth module, ultrasonic sensor, and DC motors. The wheelchair is designed to be comfortable, safe, and enable users to participate in daily activities. It has advantages like low cost, advanced technology, and stability. Future improvements could include control via head motion, gestures, eye tracking, or voice commands.
This project explains a simple wireless battery charger circuit that charges your mobile when placed near the transmitter.
This circuit may be used as wireless power transfer circuit, wireless mobile charger circuit, wireless battery charger circuit, etc.
New development in sensors, radar and ultrasonic technologies has proved to be a boon for electronics
travelling aids (ETAs). These devices are widely used by blind and physically challenged peoples. C5 laser
cane, Mowat sensor, belt and binaural sonic aid, NAV guide cane are among popular electronic travelling
aids used by blind peoples. For physically challenged person electric wheel chairs controlled by joystick,
eye movement and voice recognition are also available but they have their own limitation in terms of
operating complexity, noise environment and cost. Our paper proposes an automated innovative
wheelchair controlled by neck position of person. It uses simple LEDs, photo sensor, motor and
microcontroller to control the movement of wheelchair
Arduino Automatic Watering System Plants Sprinkler Using IoTPRAVEEN KANSARI
In this project Arduino Automatic Watering System Plants Sprinkler using IoT, the watering system is automatic using the Arduino Uno board and gets the information about plants and moisture of the soil in Gmail, Twitter and Facebook. In here, two types of programming languages are used which are Embedded C and Python programming. The Embedded C is used for the arduino for automate the watering system of the plants and other language Python is used for sending status of the plants and soil moisture to the Gmail and also IFTTT is used for getting data in Twitter and Facebook. We get data of the moisture sensor in our Gmail, Twitter and Facebook account using the Python code. The data or information is value of the serial monitor of the arduino as the resistivity of soil moisture with the status of plant as a message.
Project details - I have made a project Dual Axis Solar Tracker using Arduino to align the solar panel towards the higher density of Sun light. I have used a ATMEGA168 controller IC for programming, and two servo motor for movement of solar panel. It was now also available on EngineersGarage with the link- http://www.engineersgarage.com/contribution/how-to-make-a-solar-tracker. Check this out.
In our contemporary world of science & technology, most of us are
going for automation. Robotics covers a large area in the automated
world and robotic arm has become popular in the world of robotics.
Robotic arm can do such operations which are difficult & dangerous
for human (e.g. removing mines, mining operations and so on). Even
robotic arm is doing critical surgery of brain. In our project of robotic
arm, our main intention was to control it by the microcontroller. By
doing this we miniaturized the control section of the robotic arm.

Researchers and scientists have contributed a lot for handicapped or physically disabled people to adopt techniques that may help to smooth their mobility in daily life reducing their painful effort, instead of being dependent on others specially while using traditional tools like wheelchair. Many people continuously need help of someone while moving somewhere with the wheelchair. By having an automated control system incorporated with the wheelchair, they would become more independent. The main goal of this project is to fabricate an android controlled wheelchair using Arduino, which can be navigated easily by disabled people with own effort. The inputs will have to be provided through android application which has navigation control and other features, also this application is integrated with home automation system for controlling home appliances. This wheelchair is able to detect any obstacle or crack on the path towards the direction of motion and alerts the user with the help of sonar sensor and IR sensor. The enriched results of this project fabricated a path for further advancement of this technology and finally being manufactured. Please take a look at this link; https://bit.ly/2NStcZ9

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202
