INTRODUCTION
o Wheel chair is the best assistive device used by
elder and disabled people.
o The driving and controlling of traditional wheel
chair are much harder task.
o Our aim is to build a low cost and powerful
wheel chair which helps the handicapped people
to travel without depending others.
o Introducing a prototype of cost effective
electronic based smart wheel chair.
o Easy to operate, because this wheel chair can
operated even by a user with his/her
smartphones.
WHEELCHAIR DESIGN
o Wheelchairs should be designed to enable
their users to participate in as many
activities as possible.
o As a minimum, a wheelchair should enable
the user to lead a more active life without
having a negative effect on their health or
safety.
o Comfort and safety are two important
factors affecting the quality of life of long-
term users

o Aurdino software ( for microcontroller )
o Aurdino Bluetooth ( for smartphone )
AURDINO UNO
o Arduino is an open-source electronics platform based
on easy-to-use hardware and software.
o Arduino boards are able to read inputs - light on a
sensor, a finger on a button, or a Twitter message -
and turn it into an output - activating a motor, turning
on an LED, publishing something online.
o You can tell your board what to do by sending a set of
instructions to the microcontroller on the board.
o To do so you use the Arduino programming
language (based on Wiring), and the Arduino
Software (IDE), based on Processing.

• The different directions of motions possible are:
forward, backward, left, right and stop.
• In achieving the task the controller is loaded with
program using the arduino programming language
and arduino development environment.

o Low cost wheelchair with advanced
technology.
o Well designed ergonomics helps the chair
stable.
o Wheelchairs are highly beneficial to senior
citizens because it provides you with great
comfort, mobility, independence and
freedom.
TESTING MODEL
FUTURE SCOPE
o Using head motion.
o Using hand gestures.
o Using eyeball movement.
o Using voice command and etc.,
CONCLUSION
• It is going to bring a revolutionary in the
sense of cost cost management.
• Only fewer components are required and if
any damage it is easily replaceable.
• Helps physically disabled to reduce the
mechanical energy applied to move.
• Smartphones become an essential tool to
control all the electronic components.

INTRODUCTION o Wheel chair is the best assistive device used by elder and disabled people. o The driving and controlling of traditional wheel chair are much harder task. o Our aim is to build a low cost and powerful wheel chair which helps the handicapped people to travel without depending others. o Introducing a prototype of cost effective electronic based smart wheel chair. o Easy to operate, because this wheel chair can operated even by a user with his/her smartphones.
  • 4. WHEELCHAIR DESIGN o Wheelchairs should be designed to enable their users to participate in as many activities as possible. o As a minimum, a wheelchair should enable the user to lead a more active life without having a negative effect on their health or safety. o Comfort and safety are two important factors affecting the quality of life of long- term users
  • 6. COMPONENTS / MATERIAL NEEDED o Hardware o Aurdino uno microcontroller. o Bluetooth module o Ultrasonic sensor o Dc motor o Smartphone o Wheel chair components o Software o Aurdino software ( for microcontroller ) o Aurdino Bluetooth ( for smartphone )

AURDINO UNO o Arduino is an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software. o Arduino boards are able to read inputs - light on a sensor, a finger on a button, or a Twitter message - and turn it into an output - activating a motor, turning on an LED, publishing something online. o You can tell your board what to do by sending a set of instructions to the microcontroller on the board. o To do so you use the Arduino programming language (based on Wiring), and the Arduino Software (IDE), based on Processing.
  • 10. COMMANDS AND ITS OPERATION • The different directions of motions possible are: forward, backward, left, right and stop. • In achieving the task the controller is loaded with program using the arduino programming language and arduino development environment.
  • 11. ADVANTAGES OF SMART CONTROL o Makes your move smarter. o Low cost wheelchair with advanced technology. o Well designed ergonomics helps the chair stable. o Wheelchairs are highly beneficial to senior citizens because it provides you with great comfort, mobility, independence and freedom.
  • 13. FUTURE SCOPE o Using head motion. o Using hand gestures. o Using eyeball movement. o Using voice command and etc.,
  • 14. CONCLUSION • It is going to bring a revolutionary in the sense of cost cost management. • Only fewer components are required and if any damage it is easily replaceable. • Helps physically disabled to reduce the mechanical energy applied to move. • Smartphones become an essential tool to control all the electronic components.
