Dr. Michael England

2. Question #1
In my opinion, the film Fireproof is ____________.
a)something I can't comment on, because I never saw it.
I've read nothing but poor reviews for it, and don't care
to lend support to an actor who spends his spare time
telling people they should convert to Protestant
Christianity or burn in hell forever.
b)a decently made movie with a good message.
c)an outstanding Christian film, a rarity in an anti-Christian
industry that regularly belittles our values and
brainwashes our youth into being less prepared for the
End Times.
d)Satanic.
3. Question #2
The use of Biblical translations aside from the King
James Version should be _____________.
a)an irrelevant issue, really, because the KJV was assembled
in the Middle Ages under a monarch who demanded that the
translation conform to the teachings of the Church of
England.
b)acceptable most of the time, provided they connect with
the intended audience and bring them to Christ.
c)rejected in favor of the KJV, because they contain subtly
distorted passages and Christians should always be on guard
against efforts to undermine the truth in the End Times.
d)considered Satanic.
4. Question #3
Music in church should _____________.
a)honor God using whatever instruments the performer
feels they can best express their affection, provided the
performance is about Him and not them.
b)honor God but try not to offend its listeners, causing
discord where there should be worshippers united in their
love for Christ.
c)not use the drums, because all Christians should know
that drums were first used in anti-Christian forms of tribal
devil worship that is incompatible with Christian values
today.
d)be considered Satanic in most circumstances.
5. Question #4
I vote for _____________.
a)whoever I consider best for the position.
b)whoever I consider the best moral choice.
c)neither party, because they secretly all
favor the New World Order's unchristian
agenda of mandatory abortions and forced
conversion to homosexuality.
d)I agree with c) for the most part, but
would have described more things as
Satanic.
6. Question #5
On Saturday nights, I _____________.
a)get together with friends and sometimes go to a
movie.
b)get together with friends and have Bible studies.
c)get together with anyone who will listen and talk
about the unchristian dress standards found among
church youth.
d)get together with members of my immediate
family and make them watch the latest Amazing
Discoveries video about how the Adventist Church
is just the latest institution subject to Satanic
infiltration.
7. Question #6
The Second Coming of Jesus _____________.
a)will happen at a day and an hour I'm not meant to
know. My duty is to live every day as if it were the day
I meet Jesus.
b)may be imminent, and the financial crisis may be just
one sign of this.
c)is imminent because the New World Order is working
toward one-world government and a National Sunday
Law.
d)is imminent because things are trending more and
more toward the Satanic. The very fact that you're
asking this question indicates that this quiz is, in fact,
part of a Satanic conspiracy.
8. Question #7
My publication of choice is _____________.
a)Adventist World, because it details the good
works being done by SDAs across the globe.
b)Adventist Review, because it contains inspiring
content and as well articles spelling out doctrine.
c)Signs of the Times, because it details how close
we are to the End Times.
d)Jan Marcussen’s newsletters, because its content
and pictures do the best to show how Satanic
everything is.
9. Question #8
My diet excludes _____________.
a)all meats except fish, beef and poultry,
and takes in all other foods in moderation.
b)all meat.
c)all animal products.
d)all animal products, sweets, and anything
else that has Satanic vestiges of flavor.
10. Question #9
The primary duty of every SDA Christian is
_____________.
a)to love God and love his fellow man.
b)to worship God and show more people the way to Him.
c)to make sure everyone knows that the End Times are
upon us, and have been for as long as I can remember,
and therefore really should be coming up right about
now.
d)to make sure people understand that everything they
enjoy doing is Satanic. The very fact that they don't
recognize it shows how Satanic they are.
11. Question #10
Ellen White _____________.
a)was an early leader in the church whose works
still guide us, but one whose writings should not be
placed on the same plane as the Bible.
b)was a divinely inspired messenger of God.
c)accurately predicted the events of 9/11, stated
that it is a sin to eat meat and correctly warned of
the End Times we're in now.
d)never smiled because she understood that things
were becoming more and more Satanic.
12. Your answers should now reveal why you remain a
member of the SDA church. If you answered ...
Mostly a) - You have questions, and maybe even disagreements about
doctrine, but feel the church's teachings make sense most of the
time.
Mostly b) - You are convinced of the essential truth of the church's
teachings, and feel it is the best way to lead a Christ-like life.
Mostly c) - You never have a doubt in your mind about the church's
teachings, but have doubts about nearly everyone in it, and feel your
role is to stare disapprovingly during the pastor's sermons, just in
case he's thinking about making a pop culture reference.
Mostly d) - You think the church was pure at one point, but now look
forward to starting a new offshoot, because in your mind, the "S" in
the mainstream SDA church stands for ... you know.
14. Traditional/Historic Evangelical/Progressive
Righteousness by Faith
Was righteousness justification
only or both justification and
sanctification?
Major Differences
Human Nature of Jesus Christ
Did Jesus inherit Adam’s sinless
pre-fall or his sinful post-fall
nature
The Sanctuary
Was the Atonement complete
at Calvary, or not?
The Authority of Ellen White
Was Scripture its own interpreter or
were Mrs. White’s writings an infallible
interpreter of Scripture?
15. Evangelical Adventists DO NOT give their ultimate
allegiance to church tradition or fundamental belief
statements, which are merely the current thinking of the
majority of the members at the time a particular statement
is composed.
All of these, church creeds, the inspired counsels of Ellen
White, human reason and logic, must bow to the authority
of Scripture.
16. Evangelical Adventism is authentic Adventism, Adventism
as God meant it to be. The evangelical emphasis is most
consistent with the original purpose of Seventh-day
Adventists as a people called to prepare the world for
the second coming of Christ by the proclamation of the
biblical gospel.
17. Scripture holds the gospel to be the central issue of
Christianity. Paul said "I determined to know nothing
among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified."
(1 Cor. 2:2)
By insisting on maintaining the cross as the central truth
of Adventist doctrine and evangelism, evangelical
Adventism guards against the temptation to make
distinctive Adventist doctrine into the gospel.
18. Just before he died, Walter Martin expressed concerns
about the theological state of affairs within Adventism,
as he saw it. He wondered whether Adventism really
stood behind the book Questions on Doctrine, and, if so,
why the book had been allowed to go out of print.
Evangelical Adventists
insist that if God raised
their church up for a
special purpose, then
they definitely can’t
afford to get the gospel
message wrong.
19. Progressive Adventists cite George Knight’s book,
A Search for Identity, and his detailed
annotations in the republished Questions on
Doctrine, that provide many important details that
indicate the ones involved in drafting QOD were
not fully honest in the ways they articulated
Adventism's doctrinal positions.
20. I hope that progressive Adventism will
be primarily associated with vision of a
free and open servant church and the
"priesthood of all believers."
More importantly, it would be
helpful if progressive
Adventists would work for the
day when the Adventist church
will be mature enough to
welcome and affirm equally the
conservative, historic,
traditional, evangelical,
cultural, ecumenical, and
progressive Adventists.
