Company
A production company is in charge of
hiring the right people to see that the film is
made which can range from actors and
directors to lights specialists.
They also provide the funding to create the
film.
4. Production Company
Our Production Company name is
‘Epidemic Productions’
We chose this name for our company as
we knew we would focus on creating
zombie films and because it relates to a
zombie apocalypse
5. UK Film Council
Our film would of most likely be distributed by The UK
Film Council. They backed more than 900 films which
include feature and short films.
I believe they would of distributed our film because
they used to support many upcoming film directors,
creators by funding their British film and making it
known to a larger audience. An example of a film
they produced is 28 Days Later. This film and our film
are similar in being zombie apocalypse themed so
they would of likely produced our film.
However the UK Film Council no longer exists so they
would be unable to fund our film.
6. BBC Films
The BBC Films institution is also likely to
fund our film as they produce many
feature films.
However BBC Films are very particular in
the films that they show so it could be
unlikely that they show our Zombie
Horror film. An example is Dead of night
however it is very old.
7. Big Talk Productions
Big Talk Productions is known as a British
Film and TV production company That
produce in the UK and America. This
company would have been unlikely to
produce our film because they mainly
focus on comedy films. Titles like Shaun
of the dead is similar to our film
however it is more comedic than it is
horror.
8. Film 4
Finally Film 4 is an institution that a wide
range of British films and have many award
winning films such as ‘This is England’
Film 4 try to challenge British and
international films by creating films with a
lower budget, so that they could expand
the niche audience. An example of a
horror film they have produced is 127 hours.
However this film does not relate to our film.
9. I think I would want my Zombie Horror film
to be distributed by The UK Film council
as they would be able to help cover
any budget issues that I could face.
