2. Meniere s Disease And Exercise Study
Anytime an individual is asked to administer an exercise program for a client with a
major chronic disease, the practitioner must determine if the program will help
facilitate the management of disease or if exercise (or certain types of exercise) will
cause the condition to worsen. Table 2 justifies the use of exerciseand highlights the
importance of recommending exercise for patients with Meniere s disease, although
very little research has been conducted on the population directly. One cohort study,
found that as many as 50% of patients with Meniere s disease use some form of
exercise to help manage their condition (Kentala, 2013). While this study didn t
examine the effectiveness of exercise on Meniere s disease directly, it indirectly...

Until conflicting evidence is found, general guidelines may be utilized for the
individual s with Meniere s, however, a few observations should be considered.
Individuals with Meniere s may benefit from exercise modalities that work in other
balance/coordination based ailments including: (1) Tai chi, (2) yoga, (3) video
games, (4) dance, (5) aquatic therapy and (6) balance/fail training (Е umec, 2015).
Rotational exercises have also been shown to effectively train balance abilities
(Brant, 2001, Nyabenda 2003). While free weights may improve coordination,
safety needs to be considered before incorporating them into your program. Safety
should also be considered before recommending water based activities because
directional disorientation could lead to drowning, if an attack occurred underwater.
Overall the personal trainer must consider the unique aspect of the Meniere s
sufferer s diagnosis, severity of symptoms, fitness level, and individual exercise
preferences before designing a training plan. It is imperative that safety precautions
be taken due to the increased risk of loss of
3. Revolutionary War Tactics
In every major military operation, terrain, troops and weapons often dictate the way
the war is fought. The American Revolutionary War was a prime example of this
military strategy. It is often said that the Patriots use of guerrilla warfare was the
reason why the Americans were successful in defeating the British. However, the
Americans employed various tactics both on and off the battlefield that led to the
ultimate defeat of the British. The American Patriots won the Revolutionary War not
through the sole use of guerrilla warfare, but rather through an amalgamation of
guerrilla warfare, linear battle tactics, and the employment of espionage.
There is no doubt that guerrilla warfare played a significant part in the American

The small arms that the army did have were often defective and gunpowder was
scarce. The standard musket used by the militia was inefficient in terms of fighting
on the larger scale battle fields. Not only were the bullets completely inaccurate at
300 yards but they were also no longer lethal at that distance. Additionally, the rifles
the militia used were their own and not available to the Continental Army as a whole.
Therefore, the Continental Army began using the Brown Bess , the musket with
bayonet attachment that the British Army used. They became available as the
Patriots would capture British troops and were also shipped in from European
manufacturers. Although it was highly inaccurate and was very time consuming
in terms of reloading, considering it was used in mass in the linear formation of
the ranks and file of the standing armies, it was highly effective in terms of the
volleying of the rounds. At fifty yards, the Brown Bess would have an eighteen
inch variance. However, in linear formations, this variance could be overcome and
injury could still be imposed as soldiers were closely filed together. The musket
weighed approximately 13 pounds and released a large amount of smoke after it
was fired. Therefore, the linear tactics had to be employed to allow for repeated
volleys, firing rank by rank, and thus unleashing more damage at approximately nine
rounds per volley. Furthermore, the Brown Bess had the capability of attaching
bayonets, which were also necessary on the battlefield. The bayonet was inserted
down the barrel of the musket, which was imperative for close quarter hand to hand
combat when time did not allow to reload the musket and the enemy was too close.
Linear tactics also allowed Washington s use of artillery, although it was limited.
Washington utilized light, mobile cannons and field artillery to push back the
4. The Upper Class In The Importance Of Earnest
The story of The Importance of Earnest happens in England in the late 19th century,
which is the Victorian Era. It reveals the contrasts of the behavior between the upper
class and the lower class. People from the upper class display a high degree of pride
and pretense with the feeling of inherent entitlement to their wealth and social
position. Instead of analyzing the social classdifferences, this essay will discuss on
the theme of perpetuating the upper class in regard to Lady Augusta Bracknell.
The scenes take place in two identical locales, the lavish London and a countryside
estate. As the heart of England, the urban center of London is a global political and
financial capital as well as a city of poverty. Lady Bracknell is portrayed... Show

Ignorance is like a delicate exotic fruit; touch it and the bloom is gone. The whole
theory of modern education is radically unsound. Fortunately, in England, at any
rate, education produces no effect whatsoever. If it did, it would prove a serious
danger to the upper classes, and probably lead to acts of violence of Grosvenor
Square. (p.15) With the use of irony, Lady Bracknell is insinuating that if the poor
and lower class were taught to think or question, the ruling class might have the
chance of being overthrown. For the benefit of the aristocrats, she firmly believes
education should never give any opportunity of substantial change or revolutionary
ideas to the public. The power should be kept in the hands of few or the upper class
might lose its privileged position. In the meantime, to guarantee the inheritance of the
entire rights and wealth of aristocracy, keeping the father s first and last name is
absolutely essential. In the Victorian era, the crucial duty for the eldest son of a
family is to ensure the survival and continuation of his family name. This can be
shown from the dialogue between Jack and Lady Bracknell. Being the eldest son you
were naturally christened after your father.

The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz The Tragic Fall of Duddy
A man must pursue his dreams. This is certainly true for everyone of the humankind,
for if there were no dreams, there would be no reason to live. Duddy Kravitz
understands this perfectly, that is why he is one of the most ambitious young men of
his time. From the moment he hears his grandfather says, A man without land is
nobody, he is prepared to seek the land of his dream no matter what the cost would

damnable. Duddy is a relentless pursuer; a formidable competitor and also a ruthless

Duddy is never loved in his family, so originally Duddy is quite content to know that
there is someone who cares about him Yvette. He finds great comradeship in her and
has also enjoyed great sex with her.
But as time passes by, Yvette becomes only a tool to him. He uses her as a medium
through which he can buy the land that he lusts for; because he is a minor and he
cannot legally own land. The farmers would be wary of a young Jew, they might
jack up prices or even refuse to sell, but another French Canadian would not be
suspect. Duddy also treats her as a sexual toy. He makes love with Yvette whenever
he wants it, but he does not take Yvette s feelings into consideration: Yvette wanted to
wait, but Duddy insisted, and they made love on the carpet.
He never pays any respect to Yvette and he does ...not know how to treat a woman.
With Virgil, Duddy takes advantage of his physical disabilities. After selling the
pinball machines that Virgil brought him to ease his financial troubles, Duddy does
not want to repay Virgil. Using the fact that Virgil is an epileptic and that it is very
difficult for him to be hired, Duddy employs him as a driver. But Duddy tells him
that a truck would be necessary for the task, and that he can provide Virgil with the

During the fall of the Zhou Dynasty, violence and chaos were soaring in China. In an
attempt to achieve justice, various philosophers offered solutions in order to restore
social and political order. From these efforts, three significant ethical systems were
founded. These three major schools of philosophy, Legalism, Confucianism, and
Daoism, are creations of unique views that portray their ideas of adequate societies
as well as their perspectives on how one should govern.
Founded by Confucius, Confucianism followers highly valued education as well as
respect for ancestors. According to Document 1, disorder will not be created if

yin and yang. Yin represents females and the evil in the world, while yang
represents all that is good and males. There is a circle in both yin and yang to
represent the balance. Secondly, unlike Legalism and Confucianism, there is a strong
belief in Daoism in not taking part in the government. In Document 8, the point of
view is not interfering with the people in order to have success in taking over the
empire. They believe that people will do better on their own without the government
controlling them according to Document 8. Their beliefs against governing can be
noticed in the Yellow Turban Rebellion against the government that lead to the end of
the Han Dynasty. Also, because their beliefs have lasted to future time periods,
Daoism was banned in China in 1949 under communism. In the Daoism perspective,
there is a very different approach to government and society when compared to the

7. The Three Main Factors Of Cheating
Chances are if students cheated throughout their life in school, it is more than likely
they will cheat in college too. Cheating is like a habit for some students, once they
start cheating and see that they can get away with it, it ll become hard to stop.
Students should not think cheating is okay, but they think as long as they don t get
caught they re fine. Why students cheat is caused by three main factors: to pass the
course, laziness, and having a bad teacher. The main reason people cheat is to pass
the course. They might just need that one extra point to pass. Some students need
those extra points to receive a scholarship. AB students will do anything to keep their
GPA high, even if that means cheatingonce or twice. Therefore, on the next test they
will probably cheat to maintain this. Even if it means glancing to the person next to
them and hope that they have the right answers. As a result, if students grades are low
the chances of them passing the class are slim. If the opportunity to cheat is near,
they will take that opportunity as much as they need to,... Show more content on

Some teachers give directions on an assignment one way and let the students start on
it. Even when students do have questions about the assignment, the teacher might
explain it differently, but it is still hard for students to get the concept. Some
students who don t understand the concept are sometimes embarrassed to ask for
additional help. Those students will then go find someone who understands and
copy off of their paper. If teachers don t care, then the students won t and it will
discourage them when it comes to learning. It will make it easier for them to cheat
because the teacher is not paying attention or is out of the class. Some teachers that
are teaching students in college will help them out by giving them the answers, so
they can be one step closer to graduation. Having a teacher give you the answers to a

8. Hamlet Ambiguity In Hamlet
William Shakespeare s Hamlet, is a famous tragedy that is one of the most well
known, controversial play in which Shakespeare incorporates ambiguity to fortify his
central proposition. Ambiguity not only serves the justification to deepen
Shakespeare s work but to also intricates his piece. Uncertainty, if not the main, is one
of the most familiar concepts in Hamletand in Shakespeare s works in general. It may
be perplexed, but within Hamlet using ambiguity brings forth ideas related to mystery
of death, the desired and undesired, and Hamlet s insanity. Ambiguity creates
intriguing contributions to Shakespeare works and makes Hamlet a unified whole.
The play begins outside the castle of Elsinore where the ghost of recently deceased,
King Hamlet arises. Likewise, with the emerging of the ghost, ambiguity surfaces in
Shakespeare work. The uncertainty of the King Hamlet ghost being an angel or devil
interconnects with the information the King tells Hamlet. After conversing with
ghost, Hamlet gets the information that, Claudius murdered his father. If the ghost is
indeed an angel trying to communicate with Hamlet, the information is true but if the
ghost is the devil it may be untrue. When Hamlet first sees his father ghost, he
believes it is an angel but because of his uncertainty he must confirm in order to be
able to take the action of revenge and this ambiguity, starts the course of the play for
Hamlet to prove the ghosts nature. Shakespeare although communicate to the
audience, through Claudius soliloquy, that the ghost is an angel when Claudius
admits the action of murdering his brother or King Hamlet. It isn t until later in the
play when Hamlet realizes that the ghost is an angel and telling the truth, and Hamlet
indeed can rightfully get revenge on the truth. This ambiguity contributes to the
whole work by complicating the theme of mystery of death, truth, and doing the right
or wrong thing. Hamlet s mother, Gertrude , also adds ambiguity to the play due to
Hamlet s doubt of her being guilty for his father death. Like the ghost being an angel
or devil, Gertrude is questioned whether she is guilty or not. Contributing to the
theme of death, curiosity, death, and proper action determination to

One of the risks of the health care globalization is that the health care providers
standards differ from country to country. Although, the international standards are the
same for all countries around the globe, it is important to understand to what extent
these standards fit the cultural, social, and economic contexts of those countries. In
other words, simply demonstrating compliance with common quality standards, leads
to different results depending on the country or health professionals involved.

Although, developed countries courts would not hold an intermediary liable in case
of unsuccessful results because they are not health care providers. Therefore,
facilitating liability by contract is another important instrument of mitigation negative
results of difference in health care standards. Federal law in developed countries
should recognize foreign patient contracts, which provide binding arbitration or limit
liability. For instance, patients should have an opportunity to get additional insurance
for an amount they believe will protect them in negative consequences of foreign
treatment. A policy should clearly identify financial remedies for specific problems
similar to an accidental death and dismemberment policy (Herrick). In addition, the
government in developed countries such as the USA should encourage follow up
care for patients returned from treatment abroad. Another risk connected with the
globalization of health care is a brain drain from developing countries. The
globalization of the labor market for health care professionals has major implications
for individual practitioners, for health care systems, and for governments. Fast
growing demand for health care services in developed countries results in a shortage
of health care professionals in those countries and causes recruitment of professionals
from underdeveloped countries. The immigration policy of some rich countries as the

10. Book Review Of The Notebook By Nicholas Sparks
I read The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks, a 250 page novel published on October 1,
1996. This book can be classified as realistic fiction, but is considered to be a
romance novel due to the heart pulling plot line of two star crossed lovers. My
attention was caught quickly when I saw this book, because I had watched the
movie with my girlfriend which motivated me to read it. It took me about three
days to read behind Mrs. Kosters desk, each day during the same week; it was a quick
and easy read. This work was completely fiction; however, Sparks was inspired by
his wife s beloved grandparents. They had spent over sixty years together, with their
story being shared with Sparks and his wife, inspiration from their lovemade its way
into the book. Noah comes back, after fighting in World War ll, to his home in New

Noah who worked at a lumberyard. Reuniting brings out a tidal wave of emotions

11. The Absurdities Of Social Class As Shown Through Clothing
The Absurdities of Social Class as Shown through Clothing
Charles Dickens uses a repeated theme of the power of clothing in Oliver Twist to
colorize, emphasize, and ultimately satirize class distinctions in Victorian Britain. As
shown through examples concerning the poor, the rich, and Oliver himself, Dickens
is arguing through the device of clothing and, one extends the metaphor, of body
weight that socially constructed class identity is ridiculous, arbitrary, and harmful.
THE POOR
The poor are a social class that suffer because of the clothes they wear; or, rather,
because of the clothes they are assigned. From the workhouse orphans to Fagin s
gang, nearly every character has their clothes described by Dickens. Sometimes,
only their clothes are described, reducing the character to their fabric, as the rich do
to the poor in real life, and as seen with various descriptions of orphans and beggars.
Specifically concerning the gang, they use clothing as a costume that allows them
to change social class. For example, Nancy dons new garments on top of her old
ones to cover up for the fact that she is not actually middle class when she goes to
pick up Oliver from jail: Accordingly, with a clean white apron tied over the red
gown, and the yellow curl papers tucked up under a straw bonnet ... Miss Nancy
prepared to issue forth on her errand. Stop a minute, my dear, said the Jew,
producing a little covered basket. Carry that in one hand; it looks more respectable

Was
The purpose of my research conducted for this paper was to examine the relationship
between Parkinson s disorder and its connection to the anatomy of the human body.
Parkinson s is a progressive disorder of the nervous system that affects movement due
to the loss of Dopamine. Dopamine which is a neurotransmitter located in the brain
allows signals to be transported from one nerve cell to another. Its purpose is to
regulate both movement and cognition. The loss of these chemical messengers can
cause both stiffness of the body and tremors, which are two common effects of
Parkinson s. Throughout this paper I will include more information gained through
my research of the disease and its relationship to the human body.... Show more

Several decades after the publishing of An Essay on the Shaking Palsy Charcot took
it upon himself to conduct research of his own. Known as The Father of Neurology
Charcot differentiated tremors found in Parkinson s disease with those of patients
with multiple sclerosis (Aslinia, Kumar, Mazza, 2011). After his findings he found it
necessary to pay homage to the first physician who originally brought recognition to
this disorder. Naming the disease maladie de Parkinson which in English means
Parkinson Disease .
What exactly is Parkinson s? Known commonly as a movement disorder. It affects
movement, muscle control, and balance. It is the second most common progressive
neurodegenerative disorder after Alzheimer s disease, and the second most prevalent
and disabling condition in the expanding elderly population (Mikkelsen,Stinson,
2011, pg xix). For those that aren t aware what neurodegenerative means it s simply
the loss of nerve cells. Nerve cells which are also known as neurons are located in
the nervous system. Neurons are broken down into three different types. They are
sensory (receptor), motor (effector), and interneurons (connector). Each one of these
neurons plays a different role in the nervous system. The purpose of neurons is to
receive incoming information and in return send signals to other neurons, muscles or
glands. Neurons are made up of three parts. First the cell body which controls the

The ability to get coverage may be impacted by building a data center in potential
lucrative and growing markets, which may have a higher risk profile, than a nearby
country that has viable communications bandwidth into the target market space.
3.1.3Global Risk Issues
Given the recent and more frequent catastrophic weather related events affecting
highly developed areas, we all need to review and perhaps re evaluate our basic
assumptions. While we are still in a very stable zone in SA and not been exposed
to harsh weather risk that other countries face. The evaluation of any potential data
center or other critical infrastructure site is not a cut and dried exercise. Geographic
diversity for replicated or back up sites is no longer an option; it is a necessity in
issues of floods and other disasters.
3.1.4Availability and Cost of Power
Picking a site location that is physically secure and has reliable access to power,
water and communications is an important first step. Since energy is the most
significant operating cost of a data center, focus your attention on the cost of
power and its long term impact. Energy costs are highly location dependent and are
based on local or purchased power generation costs (related to fuel types or
sustainable sources such as, hydro, wind or solar). If the site is relatively remote
and needs to be newly developed, ensure to factor in the cost of bringing in new high
voltage

15. Negative Effects Of Violent Video Games
At a young age, the brain is only developing by learning and applying it to their
everyday life. Life styles are reinforced by what is taught to a young child,
therefore, the daily presence of violent video games may harm their young minds.
Many studies show multiple experiments from young children, to older men on the
topic of violent video games. Researches say that violent video games do affect the
brain, physically and changes a person emotionally as well.
In the article Violence, Crime and Violent video games: Is there a correlation? Gael
Founis states that data showed an increase in aggressive moods or thoughts and
hostility after playing violent video games and suggested impairment of prosocial
behavior. After many experiement ideas, the statement shows true meaning when the

between teens who play violent video game and those who do not.
Dr. Mathews, a professor of radiology at the university stated that the group that
played the nonviolent game showed more activation in the frontal lobes. Those who
choose to play violent video games will imitate the characters and actions of the
games. This is proven by the theory that partcipants must make decisions for the
character in the game, which shows that the person makes

having to stop watching a soap opera on television. They happen to be surrounded
by real life events of a sort that soap opera writers only dream about, miraculous
occurrences alive with joy and pathos, love and laughter, courage and tears: all the
things that give the phrase triumph of the human spirit a bad name. It need not have
been so. Awakenings, Dr. Oliver Sacks s 1973 account of the events that are seen

Thus these patients, Dr. Sacks wrote, some of whom had been thrust into the
remotest or strangest extremities of human possibility, experienced their states

possibly responsive to the drug L dopa that led to the opening of what the film

I believe that the different characteristics that helped Robert F. Kennedy rise and
become a powerful leader in the society that he lived in were that: * He was a
persuasive speaker who used his charisma and honesty to gain the trust of the
nation. * He was determined and this allowed for him to reach the multitude of
goals that he set for himself, for example without this determination RFK would
never have been able to implement any change in relation to the abolishment of
racism in the Civil Rights Movement or the increased convictions of organised
crime. * Through goal setting and planning, RFK was able to be a visionary and
look at the big picture as well as try and achieve his goals through determination,
assertiveness and proper resource management. For example, the increased
convictions of organised crime would not have been achieved without RFK setting
his goal and originally having the dream of alerting the American people of the
corruptness of the Mafia. * RFK had the ability to work collaboratively with others,
and although many cried nepotism when his brother gave him the position of
Attorney General, through the brothers cooperation and cohesiveness they actually

18. Peisistratid Tyranny Research Paper
Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, it is a pleasure for me to address the topic Athens
under the Peisistratid Tyranny to you all at the Ancient History Teachers Association
of Australia today. The Peisistratid Tyranny includes the succession of three tyrant
in Ancient Greece; Peisistratus, Hippias and Hipparchus from 561 510 BCE.
Peisistratus ruled Ancient Athens as a tyrant several times, in 561, 559 556 and 546
BCE until his death in 528 BCE. His tyranny, as well as tyranny as a concept and
form of political control, have been viewed in a negative way, being seen as
oppressive, dictatorial leaders who abuse their citizens. However, the growth in
Ancient Athens, both socially and economically, during his reign contradict the
common views of tyranny.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Peisistratus rule seemed to have benefitted mostly to the poorer, lower class
Athenians, as the redistribution of land and the stimulation of the trade, pottery and
agricultural industry flourished under his tyranny. These newly thriving industries
allowed social and political advancement for the lower classes in Athens, as
Peisistratus supported the growth and trade of farming products from those
Athenians. Over the entire Peisistratid tyranny, the thriving Athenians became
increasingly accustomed to look to Athens as a strong central government. The
segregation and influence of the aristocrats and nobles were challenged and
destabilised as Peisistratus and his sons worked to secure and maintain the well being
Athenian citizens as a whole. Aristotle, one the two most reliable/primary sources
and authors in Ancient Athens known today, stated that during Peisistratus reign, he
...caused the people no annoyance in his rule, but was always trying to provide them
with peace and to assure their tranquility and so it could often be heard said that the
tyranny of Peisistratus meant living in the age of Cronus [ a Golden Age ]. This state
of Athens during the Peisistratid tyranny is clearly stated in this quote, from the
Constitution of the Athenians by Aristotle, or by a student of his based on his notes,
in c. 350 BCE. The quote was found in Ancient Greece from
19. Ship Breaker Dystopian
Dystopian literature is a genre of fictional writing that portrays the world in a
worst case scenario using three elements. These three elements are dystopian
society, dystopian controls and the dystopian protagonist. Paolo Bacigalupi uses
these three elements to create a very realistic dystopian novel that is not too far
away from becoming a reality. With all of this said, It is obvious that Ship Breaker
is a completely dystopian novel. Not only is it a dystopian novel, but it also gives
a view into what the real world might look like in the near future. The bureaucratic
control in Ship Breaker is very evident when Bacigalupi begins to talk about the
swanks. The swanks own people that are half man and half dog to use at their will

Assignment 3 Thomas van Essen Dutch Supermarket moves cross border
In this paper we would like to advise the Dutch supermarket chain on their plans of
expanding their services globally. The supermarket chain wants to do this by means
of an online platform service from which customers can order their groceries. They
will have local distribution centers where the groceries will be delivered from.
Customers must create an online account to order groceries. By creating the online
account customers are required to give up personal information.
Big data is often regarded as the currency of today s digital economy. Collected,
analyzed and moved across the globe, personal data has acquired enormous
economic significance and it s more than understandable that the supermarket
aspires to follow the trend. The key challenge in relation to cross border data
transfers lies in the differences in approach to privacy protection across the world.
However, more and more countries follow the European model when keeping local
privacy laws up to date and call for harmonization of data protection laws on a global
level.
It is important that the supermarket performs a careful consideration of the European
Union (EU) data protection requirements before it initiates a cross border data flow to
determine which data protection requirements exist for them based on national data

Set This House in Order, a novel written by Matt Ruff, features the journeys of two
characters with Multiple Personality Disorder. This novel gives its readers a look
into the complex mind of two different multiple personality cases. Throughout the
novel, these characters, Andrew Gage and Penny Driver, come to terms with their
MPD and the events that lead to the conception of their disorder. This essay will
focus on the characterization of the main character Andrew Gage. In Literature

23. Criminal Case Analysis
Throughout the 20th century, the importance of criminal cases increased. From
sentencing the death penalty to creating a model code that almost all of the states
use, the decisions on criminal cases have changed constantly. Criminal cases are
defined as a person committing a public wrong which is considered an offense
against the state. A criminal case can be settled with a plea bargain or through a trial,
which is decided by certain jurisdictions. There are many factors that go into deciding
a criminal case, those being the crimethat was committed, the evidence that is
brought into the case, the state the trial is being held in and whether the Judge
dismisses the case or not. Many of the crucial criminal cases have shined a light on

The MPC was used in courts, and judges rely on it when handling substantive
criminal law decisions. Some states even used MPC s model of organization as a
starting point. MPC remains an influence in the criminal laws for more than 2/3 of
the states even if it s received a lot of criticism.
Another way that decisions on criminal cases have developed is with the Hearsay
Rule. The Hearsay rule is defined as a statement, other than one made by the
declarant while testifying at a trial or hearing, offered in evidence to prove the truth
of the matter at hand. (HR) The hearsay rule is not allowed in several courts
because it is questionable and could violate the 6th and 14th amendment. The only
exceptions for allowing the hearsay rule is in some cases if the declarant can testify,

How to Become an Effective Hitter
Babe Ruth is known for his 714 home runs. However, few people realize the other
statistic he holds, which is having the most strikeouts of any player in the major
league. This statistic helps to prove there is only a slight difference between a good
hit and a strike. To become a good hitter in baseball, three fundamentals are necessary.
First, the batter s stance in the batter s box, second, the batter s eye contact on the ball,
and third, the batter s swing are the three fundamentals a good hitter will possess.
First, a good stance in the batter s box is required to hit the ball successfully. The
stance is not only important to the hitter, but it informs the defense of the location of

The knees should not be locked but slightly bent. For example, when I hit, I usually
foul a ball down the first or third base line so the outfielders move accordingly. In
our final game of the season against Middle Georgia College in Cochran when I
played softball in college, however, the right fielder was positioned way off the
first base line towards second base. She was reading my even stance as I was trying
to hit the ball up the middle or over second base. She was wrong. At the last minute, I
changed my stance as the ball was coming and hit it right down the first base line. A
good stance is important to becoming a productive hitter.
Second, no matter how perfect the stance, unless a batter has good eye contact, a
high batting average will never be possible. A pitcher can put a large number of
different spins on the ball. For example, the curve ball, the slider, the fast ball, and
the knuckle ball move differently. A batter needs to watch the ball from the time
the pitcher releases it until the batter brings the bat around and through the ball. A
batter cannot hit the ball unless one knows what direction the ball is traveling.
Sally, a teammate at Macon College in 1993, was always striking out because at
the last minute before swinging the bat she would close her eyes. After being
convinced she could keep her eyes open while swinging, she was able to hit a game

26. Comparing Thomas Hobbes And John Locke s State Of
Nature
Hobbes and Locke have very different ideas on property, which is a result of their
views on the state of nature. In Hobbes state of nature, no one owns property but
rather they live and maintain whatever land they are capable of. This is because
Hobbes state of nature is under the mindset that every man is for himself and
against all other men. These ideas are what leads Hobbes state of nature to be
described as solitary, poor, nasty, brutish and short (Hobbes). On the other hand,
Locke s state of nature is not the everyday war of Hobbes , but rather a place where
everyone was to get along and respect the rights of others. In Locke s state of nature
it is possible to own property and it was quite easy to do so. Therefore, the difference

Property was able to be acquired in Locke s state of nature because he believed that
people were their own property and were able to acquire more property by
applying labor into common resources. For example, if a man was to find a piece
of land that was unclaimed, he could build a house on it and it would become his
property. Unclaimed land being so easily claimed as property is important to
Locke as he believed that cultivated land is more valuable than unused land,
especially once people are in society. Hobbes believed that people leave the state of
nature to join a society to preserve himself, his liberty, and property, which are
rights that Locke believed people were born with. Those rights are how the idea of
exchanging property came about. Instead of every man supplying everything they
need, in a society they would be able to exchange property amongst the other
(Locke). For example, a farmer could trade corn for wool, now the farmer is no
longer dependent on just himself and his property. Exchanging property was also a
good motivator for the people of the society has profit could be made from these
exchanges. Locke also believed it was the right of the individual to own their
property without worrying about the government. The government was not able to
take over someone s property without their consent, but they were allowed to place a
taxation over property only if it was necessary to preserve the government. Hobbes
believed that individuals had the right to own property whether it be physical goods
or land and that these rights existed in the state of nature and in society, under a
government where the government s purpose was to further protect the individuals
27. Society In The French Society Of The 14th Century
Intro, The French society of the 14th Century was very hierarchal and had a strict
structure of people at the top, the Royal House of Capet/ Valois, and the peasants
at the bottom, this is called Feudalism. Religion was a big part of society in the
14th Century and really until the French Revolution, France was a very strong
Catholic nation. France s like most of Europe at the time had a very agricultural
economy. The 14th Century was a time of turmoil, diminished expectations, loss of
confidence in institutions, and feelings of helplessness at forces beyond human
control This is how the 14th century is described, this is due to the amount of
changes the whole of Europe went through, from changing borders, natural
disasters, and social unrest. Black Death, The Black death is described by
Gottfried as being the Greatest natural disaster in European history. Philip
Daileader estimates 45% 50% of the population of Europe dead while Ole
Benedictow has 60%, and as the population of all of Europe was 80 million, that is
50 million people, however Philp Ziegler says that figures during the middle ages
are hazardous as people did not keep a complete record, but around a third of
Europe died. These figures, although they are for all of Europe shows that the
Black Death played a dramatic part in French society as many of those would
haven been peasants who worked the land. In parts of France they blamed the
English for spreading the plague, due to the ongoing war between the two nations,
this caused further tension between the two countries. The Plague first struck
Europe in 1347 while France and England were at war this allowed the plague to
spread more quickly. The famine that had started in 1333 had ended recently
which meant crop production and the reverse of grain had not yet recovered
causing more deaths. The economy for most countries had started to become
crippled as they lost a lot of people who worked the land, however most countries the
wages of workers improved as landowners needed people to work the land, labour
became more mobile as people moved to where the conditions were more favourable
. People s view on religion also started to change as The Catholic Church suffered a
credibility loss

Although scholars have obtained verbal histories and generic written documentation
evidencing the general research activities of these low status prisoner doctors, little
identifying information has been found recording the names of these prisoner
doctors, or the roles they played in specific experiments. However, there are a few
examples where identifying information about specific prisoner doctors was
recorded and retained. For example, typhus began to spread feverishly through the
ranks of the German front line, and SS officials such as Heinrich Himmler and
Medical Chief Ernst Robert Grawitz, were impatient for a vaccine. When the facility
where typhus vaccine research was being conducted was bombed by the allies, the

Many of the mid status non prisoner doctors conducted research to benefit the Nazi
military effort. Research on altitude, sea water, and mustard gas was conducted to
help increase the survival rate of navy, air force, and army personnel. In order to do
so, the mid status doctors were required to either suspend, or redefine their moral
code, to serve their higher purpose of careerism. The first group of these
experiments, the high altitude experiments, were done under the supervision of Dr.
Sigmund Rascher, an SS doctor at the Dachau camp. High altitude research
duplicated the atmospheric conditions a German pilot might encounter in combat
when falling great distances through space without a parachute and source of
oxygen. Altitude experiments were carried out by locking the prisoner in an
airtight, low pressure chamber, then simulating high altitude atmospheric conditions
and pressures up to 68,000 feet.25 The prisoner was observed to see the conditions
at which a German pilot would not be able to survive. The unprecedented
opportunity to use live human subjects accelerated Rascher s research efforts; the
research was extraordinarily [MISSING]German air force to benefit the pilots.26

29. Notes On Credit Default Swaps
Credit Default Swaps
Another financial vehicle that could be problematic was CDS (credit default
swap). CDS is a financial derivative works like insurance on securities. The
underwriter is obligated to pay a pre determined fee to counterparty if a certain
security default. In return, underwriters charge a fee as compensation. CDS can be
used to hedge against risks. However there are still some difference between a CDS
and an insurance contract.
The CDS does not require buyers to actually hold underlying assets. That means a
third party can insure against default risk that it would not bear the consequence at
the first place. A financial institution can act like an insurance company by selling
CDSs. American International Group (AIG) was the largest CDS underwriter during
the crisis. AIG issued tons of CDSs because historical default rate on bonds were so
low that issuing CDS became a cash generator. They simply collected the premium
and never though of paying out anything until the crisis hit.
Another thing that CDS is different from the insurance is that an insurance pool can
be much better diversified. For example, a car crash in Los Angeles will not
increase the risk of another car crash in New York since two events of car crash are
not correlated to each other. However, as mentioned before, when the house price
bubble popped, the events of defaulting on mortgage can have high correlations.
When millions of mortgages defaulted one after another, the institutes had

often truancy is practiced by girls between the ages of 14 15 and boys 16 17 years

Truancy is an ongoing problem in the Trinidad and Tobago education system.
Purpose of the study
The intent of this study was to examine the factors of truancy in a secondary school
in central Trinidad. The purpose of this study was to test the social control theory that
relates low performance, school environment, socioeconomic status, the family and
the community to truancy of students from the ages of 14 to 17 years. Truancy will
be defined as an inexcusable absence from school or class.
Significance of the study:
In order to arrest and address the problem of truancy, parents, educators,
administrators and other stakeholders need to make and implement informed
decisions. This study will contribute to the body of research on the issue and will
provide empirical proof needed to develop effective, positive

Imperialism
Imperialism is the extension of a country s power and influence through means such
as colonization or military force. During both the Colonial Era and the Age of
Imperialism, European nations acted on imperialist policies and established colonies.
The motives that shaped European colonization in the two periods were economically
and politically similar, however the 19th century motives for imperialismput more of
an emphasis on religion and ethnocentrisms while Colonial Era imperialism was more
affected by exploratory motives.
The political and economic motivations for colonization and imperialism during the
two eras were in nature. European countries were motivated by economic interests to
expand. The economic reasons for expansion during the Age of Imperialism were
similar to those during the Colonial Era. During both periods, European nations
experienced economic expansion. Economic expansion created a demand for cheap
labor, access to natural resources, and the creation of new markets. After the advent

spread Western culture. Unlike during the Colonial Era, colonialismduring the Age of
Imperialism was less about displacement, and more about assimilation. The white

century. European imperial nations believed that their culture was superior to those
of the regions they invaded. Imperial conquest was perceived as part of the duty of

Professionals are people who use a specialized set of skills in order to serve
society. Because of these skills, professionals are often held to higher standards than
ordinary workers. A code of ethics helps professionals determine how they should act
both personally and in their workplaces in relation to their professions. With the
current surge in technological advances, it is extremely important for those who
work with computers to adhere to a specific code of ethics. The Association for
ComputerMachinery s (ACM) current code of ethics was adopted in 1992. Computer

and being involved in professional societies such at ACM. Some will even receive
higher degrees. It is especially important for computing professionals to keep up to
date on recent developments in order to ensure they are performing the best work
possible since technology is such a rapidly progressing field. For example, most
software engineers earn a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science before they are
able to accept jobs. Many software engineers will earn a Masters Degree in
Computer Science so that they are able to vastly expand their knowledge of
computer systems. In section 2.3 of the code of ethics, the professional is implored
to know and respect existing laws pertaining to professional work. In any
circumstance, a professional must obey local, state, national, and international laws
unless it directly conflicts with an ethical principle. It is imperative that if there is an
ethical reason to challenge a law, a professional must do so. The professional must
assume responsibility and accept the consequences for his or her actions. Section 2.4

33. Block s Encounters With Death in The Seventh Seal
A 1957 film, written and directed by Ingmar Bergman, a Swedish writer, producer,
and director, The Seventh Seal concentrates on Antonius Block s journey following
his return from the Crusade to Sweden at a time when the country was plagued by the
Black Death. In addition to displaying the knight on his journey home, the film
focuses on the continuous chessmatch he has against the personification of Death,
who has come to take him away. The use of multiple chess scenes between Block
and Death as a metaphor for Block s attempt to elongate his life to find the
meaning in life not only leads the knight to go on a quest in search of knowledge ,
but at the same time, allows the important theme of light against dark to emerge,
presenting the constant struggle between hope and despair as a way to describe
Block s struggle and triumph. The film starts in a gloomy mood as wild waves and
dark background music welcome knight Antonius Block following his return from
the Crusades after ten years to his homeland Sweden. To add further darkness to an
already hostile surrounding, Death, whose pale face is covered in black robe,
ominously emerges out of nowhere, unexpectedly surprising Block and creating
even more suspense. Once they encounter with one another, Death expresses his
intent to take Block s life in the immediate aftermath of his return: Who are you? I

Women have always dealt with problems of beauty. Many of them desire to look

expectation has led American women to judge their own beauty in some negative
ways. However, a campaign by Dove has attempted to convince the other 96
percent of women that they are also beautiful. Dove Real Beauty Sketches is a
short film produced in April 2013 as a part of Dove Real Beauty campaign. The
purpose of this campaign is to show that you are more beautiful than you think by
comparing the sketches of self description and the descriptions from strangers. At
the beginning of the film, over lightly soft music, a group of female participants
from different ages briefly talk about their appearance, and how they wish they can
be somehow different. Then, they are called back into a warehouse where a man
named Gil Zamora, who is a FBI trained forensic artist, is waiting in front of a
drafting board with his back to them and separated by a curtain. He asks them about
their hair color, chin, and their most prominent feature. At the same time, he draws
sketches based on how they describe themselves, and then draw the same people with
the strangers describing them. Then, the commercial continues to flash on the next
screen; the artist shows the sketches to these women with the version of their

THE BAROQUE AGE
Social and Cultural Background
Baroque is a term borrowed from the visual arts and one that is used in many
different senses. The Baroque Era applies to the years between
1600 and 1750. The most famous composers of this time were Bach, Handel,
Vivaldi and Teleman.
Politically it was an age of magnificent absolute Monarch s. The most magnificent of
all was Louis XIV of France. Louis ruled from 1634 until 1713.
During this time the need to create a national culture or a regional style that would
match or surpass the elsewhere created cultural models was pressed for.

The composers at this time usually did not specify dynamics on their pieces, they
simply wrote loud or soft.
The most prominent element in Baroque music was rhythm and texture. Baroque s
fast movement generally caused the feeling of rhythmic drive. Tempos were always
constant. The least prominent element was melody. Gradual rise of tonality on the
other hand was a great Baroque innovation. This is the major minor system that is
still used today in the twentieth century.
Opera was one of the most important developments in the Baroque
Era. It began in Florence in 1600. French operas featured more emphasis on the
orchestra and chorus. During this time Handel invented the oratorio.
An oratorio is a large work for soloists, chorus, and orchestra sung in concert format,
without costumes or staging, in a concert hall rather than as part of a church service.
Some other instrumentals formed during this era were: Concerto Grosso: in three
movements, fast slow fast, and pits a large group of soloists against the larger string
ensemble.
Suite: a less formal structure consisting of several binary dance movements Fugue:

victim by using strategies such as appearance, setting, and symbols of civilization.
Readers are invited to see Piggy as a victim through Piggy s altered appearance.
Piggy is unable to partake in essential activities around the island such as
swimming, running and climbing the mountain. Piggy s physical appearance is
different to the other boys and he is therefore shown as an outsider. Piggy is
described as the fat boy , having asthma, glasses and no hair. He was the only boy
on the island whose hair never seemed to grow. The rest were shock headed, but
Piggy s hair still lay in wisps over his head as though baldness were his natural
state. (Pg67). In this quote it is evident that Golding uses Piggy s physical
differences to cast Piggy in the light of an outsider. As well as using Piggy s
physical appearance to make Piggy an outsider, Golding has used Piggy s location
and surroundings. Piggy is restricted from doing everyday activities for reasons such
as asthma.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

12 March 2015 Professor Jordan told us this week that in order to fix the blind area
of the Johari window, you need to get feedback. I have seen this put into action in
life. One time in middle school, there was a day where one of my friends had
really smelly breath. To try and help her one of my other friends went up to her
and told her as nicely as possible that her breath didn t smell that great and gave her
a piece of gum. That turned out to be one of the best things she could have done
because the one girl was completely unaware that her breath smelled bad. After
seeing how this helped, I will always try to get as much feedback as possible and to
give feedback to people when they need it. Another ... Show more content on

In doing this, I gained absolutely nothing because no matter how hard I tried to
blame someone else, it was still my responsibility and my fault. Just by experience I
have learned that the best course of action is never to blame someone else but to take
responsibility. Knowing this, I will try to take full responsibility for my actions in the
future to prevent myself from blaming others.
Last, we learned that in order to be proactive, you have to use proactive language.
One article says, The problem with using reactive language is that it becomes a
self fulfilling prophecy: Re enforcing the belief that we are pre determined (1).
Using reactive language then keeps you from being a proactive person. I have
witnessed this in my own life with my cousin. Whenever anything bad happens to
her, instead of being proactive and taking charge of her life, she just settles and just
says that s the way it is. In doing so, she has failed to be a proactive person and
therefore her situation hasn t changed. From this, I know that in order to be my best
self, I have to use proactive language.

40. A Reflection Of Religious Beliefs And Ideas Of Antigone
It seems to be far stretching to contrast Antigone as a play reflecting tragic events in
441BCE with the Basilica that started with a chapel built in 1658. However, both
arts showed how religious beliefs shape people s lives and both are a reflection of
how humans explained both tragic and joyous events. More significantly, how art
forms (play and architecture) depict historical and social events.
The most important difference between the play and the basilica is that they present
a different idea in their beliefs, and the effect god has on people. In the play, although
the dialogue between Oedipus and the chorus explores themes of fate, freedom, and
personal moral responsibility that were central to Athenian tragedy, it was apparent
that people are mostly motivated by fear, and obligated to respect and follow the
laws of the gods in order to prevent tragic events. In the basilica, believers are
motivated by love and hope more than fear, and they pray to St. Anne with the
expectation they will be cured from their sickness or despair in return. This difference
is important because it changes the influence and power religion has on people and
the way each society views god.
In the play, people feared their gods, instead of loving them. People believed they
had gods that some could be angry or pleasant, mean or kind, cruel or loving.
According to their beliefs, their gods would also punish their whole city for one
person s sins. This shows how people in the play believe
41. Essay on Biomedical Engineering
Biomedical engineering, also known as bioengineering , is a branch of engineering
that combines the design and problem solving techniques of engineering with
biological and medical sciences to improve health related and medical problems.
Bioengineers have made many positive changes in many lives today. By designing
live saving objects such as artificial hearts, dialysis machines, and surgical lasers
bioengineers have helped save many lives. Biomedical engineers dates back to over
3000 years with the Egyptians. Egyptians created a wooden prosthesis to replace the
big toe. Since then, bioengineering has developed a great deal. A big improvement
this century has been the development of artificial lungs. When polio hit the states,

Some colleges recommended to obtain an engineering degree include: Oklahoma
State University, Michigan State University, University of Minnesota, Baker
University, Tennessee Tech University, and San Diego State University. A four to six
year engineering program is also needed to become a bioengineer. A professional
engineer license is required by all states in the United States, including the District of
Columbia, if engineering person wishes to offer services to the public. After
becoming an engineer and gaining the expected work experience, the professional
license can be taken in any state. Bioengineering held around 14,000 jobs in 2006 but
is expecting a 21 percent employment growth because of the demand for better
medical devices and equipment designed by biomedical engineers. (Bureau of Labor

Arizona, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Maryland. On the other hand, the states in
lowest demand for bioengineers are Minnesota, Texas, Illinois, New York, and
Massachusetts. Biomedical engineering pays in between $47,640 and $121,970 with
an average of $77,400. Biomedical engineering advancements are

Parties Against Full Inclusion
According to the latest figures available from Data Accountability Center, U.S.
Department of Education, 2,415,564 students were identified as having a Specific
Learning Disability in the Fall of 2010 ( Full Inclusion ). With the severity of the
number of individuals with disabilities in the school system, the controversy of the
best way to support them arises. One of the solutions of this controversy is the issue
of full inclusion. Those opposed to the idea of full inclusion fear that the approach
may impede on the children without disabilities and put a strain on the students with
disabilities. The major stakeholders against full inclusion also fear that the process
will negatively affect the teachers, as well as, the atmosphere of the classrooms.
Many of these parties and individuals are not fully against inclusion all together, but
do not support the idea of full inclusion.
Author Sharon Cromwell states that she does not want to completely eradicate
inclusion as whole, because to oppose inclusion would seem to advocate exclusion.
One of Cromwell s articles, called Inclusion in the Classroom: Has it Gone Too Far?
grew in popularity since she wrote it in 1997 her paper was on the Education World
website in 2004. In the article, she supports inclusion, but she opposes full inclusion.
She fears that the acts of full inclusion will put a strain on all of the individuals
involved. In her article, Cromwell states that many of the major
43. A Note On B2b Sales Cycle
If you re not using or have given up on landing pages, then you re missing out on a
truly integral component of the sometimes complex B2B sales cycle.
Whether used as part of a lead or sales funnel... integrated into an email, PPC, or
direct mail campaign... a well crafted landing page can really boost your conversion
rates.
Now there are potentially hundreds of specific steps you can take in order to get the
most out of them. And there are, of course, various ways to test each page element.
Am I recommending that you ignore all the testing and tweaking? Of course not.
But if you want to get the most bang for your buck, you can t afford to ignore the
basics.
So without further ado, here are five steps to creating landing pages that convert.
1. Determine the goal.
The lack of a clearly defined goal is probably the single biggest stumbling block for
most people. If your pages contain six different ideas, all competing for attention,
then you re in for a disastrous conversion experience.
For example, if you ve recently published three white papers, it would be a huge
mistake to design one landing page for all of them. Studies consistently show that
vague or competing themes are a huge factor in the overall success or failure of a
landing page. So instead of cramming multiple ideas onto one page, be sure to
create a separate one for each. If you follow this one step alone, you ll likely see at
least a double digit improvement in your conversion rate.

44. Healthcare Leadership Challenges
The healthcare system is an ever expanding, dynamic and complex industry that
requires strong leadership to steer and direct employees performances by utilizing
flexible, strong and transformational planning system and management of staff
strengths, core values and talents (Reeves et al, 2013). These leaders are often faced
with enormous challenge of creating culture, strategies, modes of operation and
tweaking the status quo in order to meet the Institute of Medicines goals and
expectations of providing quality, and effective patient centered cost effective care
on time. Human resource challenges in the healthcare industry are numerous and
require a lot of time and money to tackle effectively in order to bring about the
desired healthcare delivery service (Arnold, 2010). From the 2010 National Center
for Healthcare LeadershipReport, it was discovered that lack of talent management
and continuous professional training and development constitute 25 percent of chief
nursing officers leaving their positions, with 62 percent planning to do so in the near
future. Evidence from the same report also show that there was a significant increase
to 18 percent of chief executive officers in healthcare who left their positions in 2009
compared to previous years. This challenge can, however, be addressed if healthcare
organizations can put strategies to hunt, train and... Show more content on

45. Allusion In Letter From Birmingham Jail
Over the course of Letter from Birmingham Jail , the author, Martin Luther King Jr.,
makes extended allusions to multiple philosophers, among them Aquinas and
Socrates. His comparison would seem to indicate that he shares an affinity with
them. King s work devoted to a single objective: the protection of civil disobedience
as a form of protest such that the Civil Rights Movement could continue in
uncompromised form. In this way, King s letter in fact served a fourfold purpose: to
establish himself as a legitimate authority in the eyes of his audience, to show the
trials of the black in America, to justify his cause, and to argue the necessity of
immediate action.
In Martin Luther King Jr. s letter, written to the Clergymen from Birmingham
Prison, he uses the rhetorical appeal of ethos to establish his credibility on the
subject of racial discrimination and injustice. He starts off the letter with My Dear
Fellow Clergymen . By him saying this, he is putting himself on the same level as
the clergymen, sending the message that he is no less than them and they are no
better than him. He then goes on to say, I am here because I have organizational
ties here. But more basically, I am in Birmingham because injustice is here . He is
telling them that he has credibility on the matter of injustice, not because he is the
recipient of white privilege, but because he is well researched on the subject. King
says, I have the honor of serving as president of the Southern

Evaluation of Harmful Mold Contamination in the Eastern Washington University
Science Building (Names/date) Abstract We investigated the levels of fungal
contamination in the Eastern Washington University Science Building; which could
be harmful to the frequenters. Certain types of fungi produce macrocyclic
trichothecene mycotoxins. The toxins have the ability to cause weakness, ataxia,
hypotension, coagulopathy, and death. (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
2013). The primary species of mold that produce macrocyclic trichothecene include
Cladosporium sphaerospermum, Penicillium chrysogenum, Aspergillus versicolor,
Alternaria alternata and Stachybotrys chartarum (Sodipe 2013). The level of

Specific types of infections include diseases acquired from services the building
preforms, infections spread from person to person, adverse reactions to chemicals
stored within the building, or reactions due to molds contained in, or on the building
(Burge 2004). Microbial infections, especially from molds, are suspected to be the
major cause of health problems associated with water damaged buildings. Leaking
pipes, leaking windows, and leaking roofs are all conceivable sources of moisture that
can lead to mold invasion (Sodipe 2013). Cellulose or carbohydrate based materials
make adequate nutrient sources for molds (Cooper 2007). Consecutive periods of
water damage can enhance fungal growth and mycotoxin production, when followed
by drier conditions these fungi can release spores and hyphal fragments (Nielsen
2003). Mycotoxins are secondary metabolites of molds that exert toxic effects on
mammles, spacifically humans (Peraica, Radic, Lucic, Pavlovic, 1999). Molds that
produce mycotoxin and macrocyclic trichothecene strains include C.ladosporium,
sphaerospermum, P.enicillium, chrysogenum, Aspergillus, versicolor, Alternaria

47. Applying Certificate Iv Of Training And Assessment
Applying Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to work in assisting youth
towards market demand in Timor Leste
Introduction
Timor Leste received independence on 30 August 1999 after a majority of the
population voted for pulling out of Indonesian occupation of the country. Life was
not easy after getting the light of independence as many sectors were destroyed to the
ground by the militias. An enormous responsibility rested on people to exert efforts to
reorganize everything from the ground up. The education system was highlighted as
a core sector to be improved both in quality and service within the country. Education
and training are some of the main tools being used to wipe away the tears of victims,
who suffered much during the conflict. Technical vocational educationand training
(TVET) is believed to be a key area which will assist in restoring many devastated
sectors which totally paralyzed the country. In early 2010, the TVET system was
formally established in a national strategic plan with a particular function in assuring,
formulating and establishing the national qualification framework (NQF) (PATVET,
2011). It has been tremendously effective through its system of competence based
training and competence based assessment in working towards market needs. This
TVET system has evolved smoothly in Timor Leste as it is culturally appropriate to
local beliefs and is flexible in its approach. The role of the TVET System in
producing competent and qualified
49. Gun Control Is Bad
Gun control is people control. A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the
security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be
infringed. Without our second amendment right the people of the United States of
America would be susceptible to abuse from a tyrannical government, and unable
to defend themselves from the criminals within society. The theory of gun control
has become a controversial topic due to recent mass shootings that call into
question the safety of the people of this great country. The fact is that gun control
does not work. The city of Chicago Illinois is a prime example. Chicago has some
of the strictest gun control laws in the country, as well as one of the highest crime
rates in the country. On the other hand in Kennesaw Georgia every resident in the
city is required by law to own at least one firearm. Immediately after passing their
unusual gun law crime rates fell dramatically, so much so that in two thousand
eleven through two thousand thirteen there were no murders, twenty two
robberies, and no rape cases. (Wm. Craig Graydon) If a bill was passed into law
banning firearms there would be no way to collect these weapons from criminals,
only from the law abiding citizens. Even in a perfect world were the government
would be able to take every gun from every citizen, the criminals would still be able
to smuggle or make homemade firearms such as pen guns, and innocent people
would be unable to protect themselves.

It is really surprising that these talented actors/actresses have yet to win an
Academy Award (also referred to as an Oscar). I honestly hope Glenn Close wins an
Oscar before it s too late, otherwise the legendary actress will have to settle for the
Academy Honorary Award. The award recognizes exceptional people in film who
never received an Oscar.
Number One: Tom Cruise. The actor has been nominated for three Academy
Awards, but he has yet to win the award. Cruise has been nominated twice for Best
Actor for Born on the Fourth of July (1990) and Jerry Maguire (1997). In the year
2000, he was up for the Best Supporting Actor award for his work in Magnolia.

Of...
Yanacocha produces about $1.3 million each year. In order to gain that amount of
money they use a cheap and effective process of extraction called cyanide heap
leach, to extract the gold laden rock known as ore that are found in the mountains.
Example In order to get ore, the first step is to use explosions to blast the
mountains since ore is found in the sedimentary rocks. The ore that has been
crushed is put in piles in massive heaps that is then sprinkled with a dilute cyanide
solution that penetrates through the pile and bonds with the flecks of gold. The
cyanide solution with gold will drain into a staging reservoir. Afterwards the gold
cyanide solution will be mixed with carbon making the gold particles bond. Then it
will passed towards
