Prevention And Prevention Of Measles
Shots might hurt and can be life threatening but it can be worth to prevent disease.
Immunization is also known as vaccination. They are essential for adults as well as
children to protect against infectious diseases like measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis
B, polio, tetanus, diphtheria, and many others diseases ( Immunization: MedlinePlus,
2014). Measlesis one of the highly infectious diseases caused by virus among all of
them. It spreads through the air by coughing and sneezing. It starts with the
symptoms like fever, runny nose, cough, sore throat, red eyes and rashes spread all
over the body. Usually measles can be prevented with complete recovery as soon as
it is vaccinated with MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccines but it can lead... Show

Parents, whose babies were exposed to measles, were so frightened with this
outbreak that they started looking for pediatricians. Some parents even had to take
leave from their work to get their babies vaccinated and keep them safe. Also,
some families were asked not bring their infected babies into the crowded area by
their pediatricians. Clinics started running low on vaccines due to more babies
were being vaccinated at the same time causing a major shortage of vaccines.
According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) infants should get
their first measles shot at the age of 12 to 15 months and if they are traveling to
other countries than at the age of 6 months (Szabo, 2015). One of the pediatricians
Jay Gordon said that measles outbreak changed parents opinion and he was receiving
many calls for vaccine consultations. He also said, People are viewing the vaccine
differently. The people in the pharmaceutical industry must be thrilled (Szabo, 2015).
According to Szabo, studies have found 40% of parents do not vaccinate their
children at all or on time due to some myths about vaccines (Szabo, 2015). I do not
believe such myths because I know that vaccination is for our safety. I suggest parents
to consult specialist for more information regarding vaccination and its side effects.
Parents should understand life is more valuable than some myth for their children. A
rumor about vaccines causing autism is one of reason why measles is
The Portrayal Of Female Characters In Lysistrata By...
Given just the plot of Lysistrata, one might think that Lysistrata by Aristophanes is a
highly progressive comedy in which women are empowered and are given meaning
beyond the household. Unfortunately, as one starts to delve deeper into the story,
there are many things that point the over way, mainly the portrayal of secondary
female characters, the women s overall willingness to discount their non physical
features and the peace making scene around the end of the story.
The events in the play encourage the notion that the best thing young women have
going for them is their bodies. In the beginning of the play, it is pointed out that the
women present during the pact all have very nice bodies. As each women arrives this
is the first thing Lysistrata and Kleonike notice; they make it abundantly clear in the
conversation as well. (Aristophanes, 356) While Lysistrata is telling her about her
plan, Kleonike even says Wisdom for women? There is nothing cosmic about
cosmetics and glamor is our only talent. All we can do is sit, primped and painted,
made up and dressed up. (Aristophanes, 353)
Even though, the women gain power in the play by withholding sex from the men,
they also withhold sex from themselves. Their struggles with coping with the
temporary abstinence is demonstrated by frequent complaining among the women
and, later, the averted endangerment of the movement as a result of some women
trying to ditch the effort. The women that tried to leave gave lame
A Role For India In Afghanistan
A Role for India
India has its relevance in Afghanistan. India has done a tremendous goodwill and
good relationship among the local population of Afghanistan. But India should not be
mistaken that good will here can be Illusion and must not be permanently under

The concern for India is that Islamic radicalisation in their neighbouring countries is
very serious issue and India s presence in Afghanistan must be stabalised if there
were no laboratory for radical islam.

To stabilize Afghanistan an attempt to close tie up with talibanis very natural. Other
issues includes the drawback the role of US in Afghanistan. US and Chinese rivalry
are known issue and world focus has been shifted in between these two countries.
Russia is also aligned with Afghanistan with strategic partnership and also with China
are red alert for Americans as per the fear of communist expansion. China is also
encouraging the Pakistan to continue state patronage of cross border terrorism.
Beijing also focuses to make India on its bay to keep control over Pakistan by
sidelining the enemy.
Conclusion and Recommendations
As an active member of SAARC it is India s most important aspect that it would
counter the growing influence of China into the region. As well as to change the
behavioral and infrastructural condition of Afghanistan for the role of Asian key
player. Both India and Afghanistan are SAARC countries and their firm
determination committed on the regional cooperation where future strategies will
prompted for cooperation in every field. On the other hand India have much more
security concerns in stability of Afghanistan.
India s plan in direct or indirect means addresses the more visible role in political and
economic affairs of the region. Since British times, Afghanistan played by pivotal role
in determining the peace and stability of the Indian subcontinent. The American
invasion of post 9/11 marked the shift of terrorist
Leadership As A Leader And Being A Good Leader
Anyone can be a leader. Leaders come in all shapes, sizes, races, talents, and
abilities. Leadership can be described in numerous different ways. According to
Merriam Webster Dictionary, leadership is the position or office held by a leader.
Oxford dictionary defines leadership as the action of leading a group of people or
organization. Ask anyone on the street, and they will give another definition. All
of these definitions have one thing in common: leaders are in a position of power and
they are in charge of a group of people. However, there is a difference between being
a leader and being a good leader. It takes more than simply leading people. Leaders
are a role model. They are the people looked to in a time of uncertainty. They are the
ones looked to as a guide. That is my personal definition of leadership. It is living
your life as a guide for others to follow. People follow others because they are
attracted to that person s qualities. Then, our desire to fit in takes over, and we
begin to change ourselves slightly to mimic those qualities. Thus, a new leader is
born. Therefore, it is of upmost importance that leaders are a positive guide an
influence, so more good leaders are inspired. I believe in this process because I have
lived through it many times over. As a freshman in high school, I was incredibly shy
and nervous about high school athletics. To make things worse I decided to swim, at
another high school. Not only did I now have to get
Nursing Theory Of The American Nurses Association
Gina M. Randolph NURS 3201 Professional Nursing Concepts Mrs. Pautler July 9,
2017 Nursing Theory According to the American Nurses Association, Nursing is the
protection, promotion, and optimization of health and abilities, prevention of illness
and injury, facilitation of healing, alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and
treatment of human response, and advocacy in the care of individuals, families,
groups, communities, and populations. (American Nurses Association, n.d.) Each
professional nursing organization has their own definition of what nursing is.
However, there is not one universal definition for nursing. Nursing is an ever
changing and growing profession, from the times of Florence Nightingale in the
Crimean war with minimal education and the days of very little critical thinking on
the nurse s part, to the current days of focus on education and learning and a nurse
who leads the care of her patients. From the beginning, nursing leaders developed
theories which shaped and developed nursing into the profession we know today.
Nursing consists of four metaparadigms which is the conceptual framework of the
nursing theories. (Cruz, n.d.) The four metaparadigms are Person, Environment,
Health and Nursing. Person refers to the recipient of the nursing care, which in most
cases is the actual patient, but in many cases also includes the family of the patient.
Environment refers to the surroundings that affect the patient, whether it is the
Knowledge Of The Future In Fahrenheit 451
Today, there are many things that are important in life. We should know how to solve
equations, speak at least one world language, such as English or Spanish, and know
at least some history, like what happened during the Great Depression and what
caused it. Many people just memorize the facts to pass the tests and then shove the
facts into the back of their memory to eventually be forgotten. At the timethis idea
seems good because we won t use this information in the future, right? Wrong,
knowing what happened in the pastis actually just as important as what is going on
today and what will happen in the future. Knowledge of the past helps us learn from
mistakes people made, keep the people who will protect our future in power, and

If children don t learn the truth about the past, then humanity will make the same
mistakes all over again and put people who don t care about their futures in power.
Ray Bradbury portrays the scene where Guy Montag burns books in his novel,
Fahrenheit 451, while the pigeon winged books died on the porch and lawn of the
house. While the books went up in sparkling whirls and blew away on a wind
turned dark with burning (Bradbury, 1:1) Ray Bradbury predicts in his novel
Fahrenheit 451, if we continue down the path we re heading then we will
eventually be stuck in a world where knowledge is withheld from us and books are
constantly burned. The people would vote based on looks and not on insight about
the candidates, and they would allow the government to control their entire lives and
the government would prevent the people from acquiring the knowledge they need
to keep from making the same mistakes over and over again. The government would
also, according to Fahrenheit 451, allow people to embark on homicidal massacres,
killing hundreds of people, and annihilate dosens just for the fun of it and they
wouldn t get punished or even told that manslaughter is
The And Recommendations From The Cable Industry
V. RECOMMENDATIONS
A. RECOMMENDATIONS RESULTING FROM STUDY
Customer Service In our extensive research on Time Warner Cable, we found out that
Time Warner is one of the biggest names in the cable industry. On the other hand they
are know to have notoriously bad customer service, which in turn limits the amount of
customers they bring in, and increases the amount of customers that cancel their
service. To deal with these problems we have come up with multiple marketing
recommendations. In order to get rid of the reputation of bad service Time Warner
has to advertise their new and improved customer service so that people will want to
buy from Time Warner Cable. One way to start improving customer service is to
offer an online survey so that the customers know that their opinion is what s most
important to Time Warner Cable. The survey will not just ask if their problems
were solved or if the representative was good. It will ask in depth questions about
what the customer thought about that particular representative. They also can give
follow up surveys a few weeks after a phone call. These surveys will be there to see
if the problem that the customer experienced is arising again and to make sure that
there are no new problems. These surveys show that Time Warner Cable truly does
care for the wellbeing of their customers. Along with surveys Time Warner Cable
can also offer holiday specialties such as reduced prices for the holiday season. They
can market this by

United and Marvel are multi billion dollar companies and are hard to understand or
feel pity for. That is understandable. No matter how upset far left liberals get, it will
take a miracle to topple these giants. What people can relate to and still understand
is the plight of Sean Spicer s idiocy. In a White House press conference; Sean
Spicer was asked about Syrian chemical weapons. Part of his response was Hitler
never stooped to the level of using chemical weapons. Of course he did. Everyone
knows that Adolf Hitler very famously gassed the Jewish population in one of the
biggest genocides in world history. This was a massive blunder. Even when given a
chance to correct himself, Sean Spicer just bumbled about and said a string of
words that barely made a cohesive sentence. As President Trump s appointed Press
Secretary, Spicer has a job to make statements for the President directly to the
press. Once the video of this hit the internet, liberals took it and ran. The liberal
outrage machine accused Spicer of trying to erase the holocaust. By denying the
use of chemical weapons, the Trump supporters were somehow standing in
solidarity with nazis across time and across the world. Of course erasure of history is
a big deal and if Spicer was actively trying to have the press forget the holocaust,
then the backlash would be deserved. Instead Spicer is just a simple fool. He most
likely misspoke and was caught up in trying to spin a

Being constantly motivated to extend and expand capabilities.
Self awareness is being conscious of oneself, of one s own style as a leader, and of
one s own qualities. Personal reflection and getting feedback from others are
necessary elements for developing self awareness, a process labeled double loop
learning (Nahavandi, 2009, p. 337). What one learns from others as well from
himself is reflected in self awareness. One needs to know his own potential and be
aware of his weakness to recognize chances for expansion (Crnokrak, 2010)
(Nahavandi, 2009, p. 336 337).
Experiences have a great impact in a leader s life; the experiences a leader can have
can be really strong but on occasions can have a negative effect. Sometimes,
experiences can create a stronger leader although sometimes experiences can frighten
a leader. Confronting negative experiences make leaders be afraid and back away
from life. Being afraid of having a similar bad experience leaders occasionally seek

How To Survive Tornadoes
The alarm sounds and hear the crackling, like popcorn. It is hard to move, hard to
think, hard to speak. Tornadoes cause a lot of stress and are very hard to escape. It
is very possible to survive. There are ways to survive tornadoes and we ll go
through them right now. Firstly, what are tornadoes and how are they created.
Tornadoes are rotating columns of air. They can be very dangerous. Warm moist air
from lower parts of the world collide with cold dry air to make a supercell. The
supercell has a lot of windand is a horizontal column of air. Then, with difference in
the airs speed, it causes updraft, now forming as a Tornado.
Now, who is affected by it? Well the answer is the Middle East part of America or in
science terms, Tornado Alley.
Dances With Wolves Similarities
History Through Film Compare and Contrast Essay
Over the past nine weeks, we have watched three movies. The two movies that
stood out were Dances with Wolves and Tombstone. Dances with Wolves was
released in 1990 by director Kevin Costner and tells the story of a white army man
bonding with the Sioux Indians. Tombstone was released in 1993 by directors
George P. Cosmatos and Kevin Jarre and tells the story of Wyatt EarpВґs time as
officer in Tombstone. Both movies have many similarities and differences. Some
similarities and differences can be found in the setting, events, characters traits, and
directors style.
Dances with wolves takes place in the 1860Вґs of Colorado. However, the film was
shot in North Dakota.
Tombstone takes place in the 1880Вґs of a small town in Cochise County, Arizona.
The film was also shot in Arizona too.

Dances with wolves ended with the lovers walking away from the Sioux land and
text explaining the events that followed. Tombstone takes a similar approach by
using guns and revenge to appeal to the male audience and love between the main
character and an actor in the movie to appeal to the female audiences. It also has a
similar ending where the lovers dance after all that has happened. However, there
are differences in the events of the two movies. Dances with wolves tells the story
of a white soldier adapting to the Sioux way of life before his very own army came
and destroyed the Sioux tribe. Tombstone is completely different by instead of
indians, there are cowboys and Wyatt Earp must protect his town from the crime they

being arrested for alcohol or drug related incidents. Without knowing the individuals
or their circumstances, images from the movies or television provide you with the
idea of the person. Your immediate reaction, send them to jail.
Now consider this image, an individual who has been working long hard hours,
begins drinking to relieve the anxieties of the job. He has home, family, friends, a
degree, and investments for the future. Starting on weekends, he drinks to relieve
old memories of fun college times. During the week, he stops by for local happy

The steps to recovery are not the easy way out But the outcome provides the
individual with coping mechanisms and support for the addiction.
Without Treatment
When jail replaces treatment, the individual does not receive the necessary medical
treatment to help combat the disease. The addict will continue using, allowing for
impair judgment to make decisions. An individual may begin to experiment with
other forms of drugs as a means to coping with daily life. Criminal behavior may
follow. Eventually, the person will be back in front of a judge with another arrest for
a treatable addiction.
Rehabilitation is the best option for stopping the addiction/criminal offender cycle.
Repeat offenders waste time and money with court hearings and incarcerations.
Providing individuals with resources to end the addiction process is the better choice.

The Soccer Ball By Physical Theory
Introduction Most of the people in the world watch the football match at least
once per 4 years for world cup. People are enthusiastic about fantastic spinning goal
and non spin goal which is hard to kick. However, people do not think of how the
soccer ball is spinning and not spinning. Also, the people who are playing soccer,
do not think much about the principle of the soccer ball applied scientific facts and
they are not aware of it. This background is the reason why I want to research, there
are interesting factors in the soccer ball by physical theory. These physical theories
are not only on the soccer ball but also it also applies to other sports or practical life
but I will focus on aspect of soccer. The importance of this research reveals that we
can understand how the ball is applied from scientific fact and in accordance with
the fact, we can apply the theory that I introduced to other sports balls. The famous

This is one of the best examples of what I want to introduce to this research project
for spinning ball. In this research project, I focus on the research project to the side

explanation of the theory. On the whole, the outline of concentration contents that I

The Target Of This Literature Review Essay
LITERATURE REVIEW 2.1 INTRODUCTION The target of this literature
review is to study what literature is presented on the research topic. This chapter
will focus on BIM, project scheduling and on how these both topics can work
mutually. The literature objective is to explore and discover what is already
researched by researchers. By reading lots of journal more knowledge is gained
and can apply to the thesis. All of the information was collected from UNITEN
library, and also from the published journals such as Science Direct, IEEE and so

technology that should be implementing on the construction industry. U.S. General
Service Administration or known as GSA is more categorical in their definition of
BIM which is: The purpose of BIM is to make the design information explicit, so
that the design intent and program can be immediately understood and evaluated. A
BIM based approach fortifies on demand generation of documents such as drawings,
lists, tables, and 3D renderings from a consistent BIM. In a sense, these documents
present views of the current BIM. A BIM model, therefore, can live longer,
contribute more to process efficiency, and provide superior accuracy than traditional

Hester as an Imperfect Heroine
The Scarlet Letter, a story of Hester Prynne and her paramour, Reverend Dimmesdale,
and her malicious husband in pursuit for revenge, Roger Chillingworth. The novel
begins in the Puritan society in Boston, Massachusetts, during the 1640 s. The town
first ostracizes Hester because of their strong religious beliefs. Hester is then faced
with an immense struggle against the town and Roger Chillingworth. Through this
struggle she is developed into a heroine, or a woman admired for her courage,
achievements, or noble qualities; although she is not the perfect heroine because she
starts her journey at the lowest point in Puritan society, in sin. In Nathaniel Hawthorne
s The Scarlet Letter, Hester Prynne overcomes the Puritan community and Roger
Chillingworth to defy adversity and become a heroine whom everyone to admire.
Even though the Puritan society aims to discourage Hester, she finds a way to
display her pride and grace. To begin, Hester makes her way out of jail exhibiting
her dignity when appearing with the scarlet letter before the town: On the breast of
her gown, in fine red cloth surrounded with an elaborate embroidery and fantastic
flourishes of gold thread, appeared the letter A. It was so artistically done, and with

Timothy The Apostle
Timothy was a young disciple of the apostle Paul. He was a man of God and a pastor
of the
church of Ephesus. He was a Galation who s family lived in Lystra, his mother and
grandmother were faithful Jewish women who taught him the faith. What is so
admirable
about Timothy was that he probably saw Paul being beaten and stoned in the streets
countless times, but it didn t stop Timothy from pursuing a discipleship with the great
Apostle. His journey was rough, filled with travel and hard work. He learned so much
knowledge about taking care of the church with Paul who taught him everything he

Sequence Of A Sequence Structure
Sequence
Basically in a sequence structure the action leads to the next ordered action in an
encoded/programmed order. Sequence can include any numbers of actions; however
no actions can be missed or skipped in the sequence. When the program runs it must
execute each action in order to be not missing or skipping an action. Sequence,
selection and loop are the main vital structures used to solve any logic problems in
programming by forming algorithms.
Iteration
An iteration which is a processor loop that goes through a set of guidelines or

While loop
While loop and do while are used quite also in programming while loop itself
executes a function that is specified by the programmer and it will keep on going on
until the function is true itself.
What while loop does is firstly it tests the specified/given instructions by the user

Role of Cost Accounting and Ethical Consideration
Introduction Cost accounting is used to help management understand how much it
cost to run a business. Understanding the role of cost accounting is important when
one is trying to put together a team of managers to help run the company. The CEO of
a merchandising organization needs to hire a CFO to run the accounting system, but
the CEO has little understanding of cost accounting. The CEO will hire a consultant
to help her understand the role of cost accounting, the role of ethics in cost
accounting, and compare and contrast the absorption and variable costing.

Compare and Contrast Absorption and Variable Cost
It is important for the CEO is the manufacturing organization to understand the
different between absorption cost and variable cost. One different between the two
are the way accounting treats fixed manufacturing overhead. Absorption cost is all
the manufacturing overhead costs applied to the manufactured goods (Hilton, 2003).
Variable cost is applied to work in process as product cost, and fixed overhead costs
are expensed as period cost. Other different is the timing of when fixed overhead
becomes an expense. Variable fixed cost is expense immediately, and absorption
fixed cost is inventoried until the goods are sold. Fixed cost is expense in both
accounting system. Both systems have advantages and it will be up to management
to decide which works best for their organization. Below is a list of each system
advantages:

The Country Of Ghana And Nigeria Essay
What is surprising by most is how Africa is one of the largest known continents and
being one of the richest when it comes to natural resources. However, the countries
that make up Africa and the people living in these countries are known to be living in
devastating poverty. How can it be that this plentiful continent of natural resources,
Africas people are living in povertyand living in the poorest conditions? With Africa
being such a rich continent of natural resources why are the countries within Africa
so poor? Take for instance, the countries Ghana and Nigeria There are many
countries within Africa but the main focus will be on the country of Ghana and
the country of Nigeria. Both countries are poor and the people there are in poverty.
Ghana has been struggling with poverty and being poor for quite some time and
has been slowly trying to work its way out of poverty. In an article called

The History Boys Essay
The History Boys written by Alan Bennett is a play that explores the theme of love
between the characters. The action of the play takes place in all boys grammar
school in Sheffield, in the 1980 s where it focuses on a group of sixth intelligent
boys with fighting for the chance to gain scholarships to go to either Oxford or
Cambridge. Bennet gives an insight of what the education was like in the north of
England in the 1980 s. During this time the play was originated under Thatcher s
conservative regime. Throughout the play Bennett shows the relationship between
Hector one of the teachers and his students. Child, I am your teacher. Whatever I do
in this room is a token of my trust. I am in your hands. It is a pact. Bread eaten in
secret. I have put before your life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose

A personal connection with literature is one of the main tenets of Hector s teaching;
he puts lots of emphasis on learning excerpts from different texts by heart so his
students will remember what they have learned well after leaving school and
moving onto university. This is a perfect example of how different Hector s teaching
strategies are than Irwin s. Hector is passionate and does it to the love and trust of his
students, whereas Irwin is straight out with Hectors, Irwin implies the proper
educational strategies that need to be taught. Further through the play, in a heated
discussion between Headmaster and Mrs. Lintott, Headmaster is believed to criticise
yet again Hectors teaching views. Shall I tell you what is wrong with Hector as a
teacher? It isn t that he doesn t produce results. He does. But they are unpredictable

Mary Anne Warren Analysis
Mary Anne Warren argues in the position that abortion is morally permissible
because the fetus is not a person therefore has no rights and not considered immoral
to be killed. I shall argue that Warren s argument in invalid since the claims of
argument cannot be proven. The general argument made from Warren is (1) If a
person, they have the right to life, (2) The fetusis not considered a person, and (3)
Therefore, since the fetus is not a person they do not have a right to life. Also, (4)
A human being needs all the morals of personhood to be considered a person, (5)
An infant does not have morals, and (6) Therefore, an infant is not a person because
the do not have the morals to be considered a person. From the time that Warren s
article. On the Moral and Legal Status of Abortion, was published she had gotten
critiques that her argument appears to justify not only abortion, but infanticide as
well. (Warren, 16) Warren claims that if her argument is valid then infanticide is not
a form of murder, since you are not killing a person. A human being is a person if
they have the previous characteristics of personhood introduced into her argument.
According to Warren... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Her argument does not specify if the same reasoning can be applied to fetuses. Not
specifying which certain traits are needed to be classified as a person opens up
questions for critics saying that it is not wrong for infanticide because an infant is not
more of a person than a fetus according to her arguments. Although her response
about this is that infanticide is not just because it deprives the infants from people
that care about them and can find happiness along their side. A person might want to
raise these infants and the reason why they should be put into orphanages. In the end
Warren s argument is contradicting that infanticide is morally wrong because it

Theme Of Materialism In A Perfect Day For Bananafish
A marriage between a man and a woman is scared. You vow to have and to hold,
for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do
us part. This is the conflict seen in the short story, A Perfect Day for Bananafish by
J.D. Salinger. We are provided with Muriel Glass, the wife that disregards her vows
and is more into materialism than the importance of Seymour Glass, her husband
and his emotional well being upon returning from World War II. In this story
materialism as I am using it, is the meaning of being so consumed in physical
appearance or the acquisition of wealth, accompanied with the appetite of material
possessions, rather than with spiritual values. We see the illustration of how the
personality of being materialist versus on one that relies on emotional wellbeing
clash and collide. Obtaining a personality like the one of Muriel generates a
blindness to what truly is important in life, especially in a successful marriage.
Focusing on the Muriel Glass as the main issue, we see a numerous amount of
evidence as to why she is so self centered. Most important so incredibly into being
materialist that she totally ignores signs that her husband needs her emotional
support through this tough time. The first signs we see to prove that Muriel is
into physical appearance is on page three where J.D. Salinger writes, She washed
her comb and brush. She took the spot out of the skirt of her beige suit. She moved
the button on her Saks blouse. She tweezed out two freshly surfaced hairs in her
mole. With that we get the knowledge of someone who is definitely vain. We now
know that Muriel uses up her time to look impressive and make sure she is clean
cut. Another critical sign that she is very object orientated is on page eleven during,
the telephone conversation with her mother in which she states, You remember that
awful dinner dress we saw in Bonwit s window? ... She had it on. And all hips.
(Salinger) The indication from this is that she judges others based on what they are
wearing. Concluding, that she is into clothing and how it is worn, especially how
others wear it. We even get the sense that she is into luxurious items because Bonwits
was a luxury department store in

Big Brothers Big Sisters of America Impact of Organizational Changes n Team
Members
Leaders are the central figures in a team, and they are attributed to the largest share
of blame or praise depending on the performance. New leaders in an organization are
faced with many challenges on how to start making an impact and successfully lead
the subordinates on the set mission. According to Kangas (2013), the key element for
a new leader is to establish interpersonal links and relationships that are necessary for
learning about the organization. The success of the leader and the organization as a
team depends on the quality of interpersonal relationships that develop to help the
leader in implementing their mission. Additionally, the influence of leaders over their
followers is largely founded on the interpersonal relationship as members of a team
(Kangas, 2013). Another major source of challenge for leaders in organizations is the
implementation of changes that affect the existing relationships and roles in major
operations. BBBSA demonstrates the challenges that can arise for new leaders in
organizations in implementing changes and the effectiveness of the Leader Member

Reproductive Rights In Canada
1.Reproductive Rights in Canada
Reproductive rights in Canada have been discussed in length for many decades,
particularly in regards to women s rights. Reproductive health is defined as the
complete physical, mental, and social well being of women based on the full
achievement and protection of women s human rights (Loretta Ross). Reproductive
rights, therefore require three basic aspects for women, including the freedom to
choose the number and spacing of children, with the information and means to do so,
the right to have the highest standard of sexual and reproductive health, and the
ability to make decisions without being discriminated against (Loretta Ross).
Reproductive rights also include the freedom to have a safe and satisfying sex ...

refusal of responsibility for social welfare, and resource privatization (Alison

Comparing Plato s Allegory Of The Cave And The Matrix
In Plato s Allegory of the Cave and the Wachowskis The Matrix, the ideas of truth
are that it can only be defined by how far one is willing to think outside of their
own reality. Both the allegory and the film depict truth as a key of sorts for
individuals to break free from their imprisonment. This can be seen by Neo s
physical escape from the pod, which he had been unknowingly trapped in his
whole life and his ascension to light after being swept down the pod s tube. The
tube which swept Neo away is alike to the freed prisoner being dragged...into the
sunlight by force in Plato s allegory; the two characters are being forced to have
their senses enlightened once they ve been freed from the chains on their bodies
(but their minds still need to get adjusted to seeing the world in a new way).
However, the allegory and the film differ in that Plato s prison is a physical cave
which houses it s prisoners, while the matrixis a program that confines people s
minds, thus is limitless while inside. With... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the end, it all comes down to perception, whether or not if that perception of ours
is skewed. This is why Plato stresses the importance of the upward journey which
the freed prisoner takes, how it is reached only with difficulty because of the
external factors which can alter our minds. It shows how the intelligible realm of
our minds/ why we must constantly reflect upon and question what we think, even
if it s hard to do, because we as humans constantly strive to better ourselves.
Otherwise, on the most basic level of life, what else would be our purpose? The
Matrix film demonstrates this purpose in Neo s search for an answer to the question
he had been subconsciously asking, as he had always felt like something was wrong

In the beginning of Blood Diamond, the protagonist, Danny Archer, a white South
African diamond smuggler, is a man who cares only for himself. This personality
trait makes sense because he has unfortunately been alone for the majority of his
life. His mother and father were both violently killed when Danny was just nine
years old. From then on, he had to learn how to survive on his own, without anyone
to support him, and with that he developed selfish characteristics. When he was a
young adult, he fought in the war, which did not help with his selfishness. This most
likely made it worse because hypothetically people that he got close to were killed in
battle. As an adult he lives a life smuggling diamonds to make money for himself,

Lies Exposed Into Reality In Umberto Eco s Physo
One of the recurring themes in the story, although a perverse notion, is how lies
could somehow actually be turned into reality. Baudolino explains, When you say
something you ve imagined, and others then say that s exactly how it is, you end
up believing it yourself. Abdul, one of Baudolino s friends expressed a similar
whim, The vision was an illusion, but what I now felt inside was not; it was true
desire. When you feel it, it s not an illusion. It s real (Eco, 2002). Umberto Eco
suggests that fabricated lies are able to shape reality; even the liar convinces himself
/herself that those lies are the truth.
In reality, almost everyone tells lies, basically to benefit one s own interests.

London is iconic for many things Big Ben, red telephone booths, double decker
buses, and Tower Bridge. Built in 1884, Tower Bridge a staple of London. Pryor to
the building of Tower Bridge, London Bridge was the only way to cross the
Thames river. By the nineteenth century, the population of London had grown
much too large for one bridge, however there was a challenge as to how to build
the bridge without disrupting river traffic. In 1876 a Special Bridge Committee
was formed to oversee the designing and building of the bridge. The committee
decided to open the designing up for public competition. Over fifty designs were
submitted and the committee filtered through them until they discovered one that
they liked. The chosen design was created by Horace Jones, the city architect, and
John Wolfe Barry ( Bridge History ). Construction began in October of 1884. Two
gigantic piers were driven into the river bed to support the eleven thousand tons of
steel and granite that were used to construct Tower Bridge. The project took eight
years, five contractors, and over four hundred thirty construction workers every
day to complete. When it was first completed, Tower Bridge was the most largest
and most complex bascule bridge ever built. The large bascules were raised and
lowered by large hydraulic cylinders that were powered by massive steam engines
and boilers. The bridge remained this way until 1976 when it was updated to be ran
with oil and electricity ( History of Tower Bridge ).
Teaching English As A Second Language
Term Paper
Teaching English as a second language can be a difficult task and the challenges that
teachers face vary greatly from student to student and classroom to classroom. The
internship working Professor Jesse Stewart and his students from his ESL 116 class
was eye opening and great opportunity to work with students who had a range of
English levels. Each student was unique in that they learned differently, had different
language backgrounds and had different language abilities but one thing that seemed
similar was the type of mistakes they were making in their papers for the class. The
errors that the students made in fact reflected the common errors that many ESL
students make everyday and though the reason for these errors is still debated in the
field of linguistics the errors themselves still tend to be similar across language
backgrounds and teaching environments. The theoretical side of this paper deals with
the common errors that ESL learners make as well as the development of literacy and
writing in ESL learners, language assessment, and the importance of ESL in
Canada. Later in this paper, I will include a more practical comparison of my own
experiences with students to the errors discussed previously, as well as give an
insight into my view of the course and how it will help me in the future.

for an easy way to become happy therefor, zippers are a symbol of happiness.
Zippers themselves are very fascinating to John. While he was waiting for Bernard,
John decided to break into Lenina s room and go through her luggage. He finds all
her clothing and takes a special interest in the zippers. The zippers on Lenina s
spare pair of viscose velveteen shorts were at first a puzzle, then solved, a delight.
Zip, and then zip; zip, and then zip; he was enchanted (Huxley 143). It is not even
that idea behind what the zippers do, but that actual zippers that delighted him.
The World State conditions children at such a young age to be open with sexuality
and be comfortable doing adult activity at such a young age. Huxley first
introduces the erotic play amongst children by saying, Outside, in the garden, it
was playtime. Naked in the warm June sunshine, six or seven hundred little boys
and girls were squatting silently in twos and threes among the flowering shrubs
(Huxley 30). When the children have their time to play, they often play a game
called hunt the zipper. This game introduces sex in a fun way for kids by making it
into a game. By using zippers, children are conditioned to connect zippers with the
game and be happy when seeing zippers. On the other hand, John, who was raised
on the savage reservation, values chastity and modesty; making him an outsider in
the World State. John gets himself in a promiscuous situation with Lenina and
thinks to himself, He had only to take hold of the zipper at her neck and give one
long, strong pull... He shut his eyes (Huxley 144). John thinks of pulling her zipper
down because he knows that doing so would give him instant gratification, but he
also realized that, although he will be instantly happy, he will come to regret his
decision.
Persuasive Essay On Immigration Law
Every year, hundreds of thousands of immigrants travel legal and illegal, from
around the world, come into the United States. The destination that attract some
individuals or group to leave their home are for better economic opportunities, higher
standards of living, and freedom. Immigration has been the defining characteristic of
America long before the country even began. It s important to remind ourselves of
our rich history of where it all started. We all came from different places of the world
to create this multicultural groups of people that is in the United Statesin the 21st
century. While Immigrationpolicies have been perfected over the decades, the Trumps
administration attempts to abolish those laws that have been in place by prioritizing
on the value of immigrants, prohibit the travel of Muslim countries from entering the
United States and end a government program which thousands of young immigrants
can face deportation.
A proposed change in immigration law announced by president the Trump
administration would have a critical impact in the way possible immigrants are
selected and become citizens. No longer would America be a place for people that
had the desire to come for equal opportunity. Instead, America would largely focus on
the skilled, higher earning and English speaking immigrates. Trump states that this
change will benefit struggling America families by putting their needs first and
Americas needs first. This bill propose will include a limit on

Essay on Haydn and Mozart
Between the years 1782 and 1785, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart wrote six string
quartets which were dedicated to his friend and fellow composer, Joseph Haydn.
These quartets, known as the Haydn Quartets, were among Mozart s first six
masterpieces in the medium (Keller, 64). In composing these works, Mozart was
inspired by Haydn s recently published Opus 33, which is also a set of six string
quartets. When Haydn wrote his Opus 33 in 1781, it was the first time he had written
for the string quartetin a period of ten years. With the six pieces of Opus 33, Haydn
established a style of chamber musicthat he described as being in an entirely new,
very special manner (Pauly, 45). At the same time, it had also been nearly 10 years

The royalty of the time was especially interested in having small instrumental
groups play at their social gatherings and official events. The music of these small
groups was known as chamber music, because it was usually meant to be
performed in a royal patron s private chambers (Rosenstiel, 547). In order to suit the
tastes of the aristocracy, this type of music was generally light and elegant. Both
Mozart and Haydn were masters of the classical style. Haydn, born 24 years before
Mozart, was an innovator in the development of the style. Mozart followed Haydn s
lead and went even further by becoming a true master of classical forms. Mozart s
works also show a strong sense of emotion, which adds to their power.
Haydn wrote more than 80 string quartets during his long career. By the early 1770s,
the four movement format was standardized in Haydn s quartets (548). After an
exciting first movement in sonata allegro form, Haydn often used a minuet for the
second movement. The third movement was usually a slow piece and the fourth
movement was usually another up tempo form like the first movement. This order of
movements differed from the traditional order, in which the second movement was a
slow piece and the third movement was a minuet. By changing the order, Haydn
expressed an element of the classical style, because the four movements are balanced
in terms of their expressive weight (Rosen, 280).
Truman Capote s Meaning Of Truman Pary And The
Duality Of...
Although Truman Capote recognizes the duality of Perry, he uses language
complexities to demonize Dick; therefore he argues people with mental health issues
deserve help while those who choose their behaviors deserve harsher punishments.
Amplification embellishes the artwork that Capote illustrates. In the beginning, he
paints the picture of Perry as naive and gentle, which contrasts with Dick who was
heartless and arrogant. Later, a picture of Dick s past as a teenager is elaborated:
An outstanding athlete always on the first team at school. Basketball! Baseball!
Football! Dick was always the star player. A pretty good student, too, with A marks
in several subjects... After he graduated from high school June, 1949 he wanted to go
on to college (Capote 166). The amplification of Dick s high school career was
above average and used to describe his once successful life. This is a crucial
passage to admire because Dick hadn t realized just how fortunate he was as an
adolescent and as he grew older he became dark and closed off as if a switch flipped
inside of him. Creating contrast to his emotions as the murder was leading up. The
behavior switch seemed almost inhuman as a straight A jock turned into a cold
blooded murderer. Dishonorable behaviors can sometimes be the result of a mental
illness, and if society recognized this illness, help could have been provided.
Although, Dick, who decided to follow through with awful intentions without any
remorse, deserves the
Gifted Hands Essay
Gifted Hands is an inspirational novel based around the life of Ben Carson, from
his rugged upbringing in inner city Detroit to his position as director of pediatric
neurosurgery at John Hopkins Hospital at age 33. The novel foregrounds Carson s
struggle to defy all odds aided by his iron will, tremendous faith, respect, meekness
and an unconditional devotion to God.
Carson displayed great determination and dedication from a young age. He thrived
to be ahead of his studies and went the extra mile for the well being of his
education. After I started pulling ahead in school, the desire to be smarter grew
stronger and stronger. Carson focused more on being the best he could be rather than

Throughout the auto biography Carson demonstrates an extraordinary amount of
trust and faith in the Lord. A pristine example of Carson s faith is portrayed before
a major chemistry final. Although Carson was unprepared, he laid the situation
before God and was able to miraculously score well in the exam. Carson lived a
Christ oriented life and the blessings were endless. His faithfulness demonstrated the
power in living in such a way.
Carson was no ordinary man. His intricate way of thinking was like no other. One of
the most obvious and well known achievement is his concept of incorporating lasers
in neurosurgery to nullify complexities faced whilst operating. He knew there was an
easier way and took the initiative to act upon his ideas. Comparing Carson s
accomplishments and initial circumstances serves as living proof that anyone can be
an influential figure in our society.
Carson s radiant demeanor shone throughout the course of his life. His pleasant
behavior and respect for others produced a very likable individual. Although there
were countless incidents where Carson could bad mouth white folk, he never resorted
to racial prejudice and whole heartedly believed in equality amongst everyone.
The problem with many of the intellectually talented is the mentality they withhold
which automatically grants them bragging rights. Carson on the other hand was a

Essay on Two Methods of Defending the Trinity
Two Methods of Defending the Trinity
Christians believe in one God, yet the apparent contradictory nature of the Trinity is
such that it has caused many to doubt whether Christianity is indeed monotheistic.
This has consequently caused Christians to defend their monotheism in relation to the
Trinity. In the two such defensesthat are studied in this essay, we find that Christians
have explained the nature of Trinity with varying degrees of effectiveness and success.
Timothy the Patriarch defends the Trinity before the Caliph Madhi with few
compelling arguments, and Gregory of Nyssa explains it in a more abstract and
therefore more effective way. Each however defends the Trinity according to his
understanding of it. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Timothy offers several apt analogies comparing the Trinity to earthly things, yet he
fails to offer a compelling argument to refute the Caliph s simple yet powerful
statement: If He is one, He is not three; and if He is three he is not one; what is this
contradiction? (69).
The most obvious of Timothy s logical errors is that he assumes (naturally) that the
Son of the Trinity is in fact the Christ or Messiah of the Hebrew Scripture. He
therefore refers to Hebrew Scripture to show that the Son is equal and not
subservient to the Father: God, therefore, called Christ a Lord through the prophet
David, and since no true lord is a servant, it follows that Christ is not a servant (82).
The flaw in this logic, or at least the reason for its failure to convince the Caliph,
lies in the fact that the Caliph cannot believe that Jesus is the Christ. The logic is
also flawed from a modern point of view, for there the writers of the Hebrew
Scripture knew neither Jesus nor the concept of the Trinity. It would therefore be
anachronistic to use such references or to claim for example that the We of the
creation story in Genesis refers to the Christian Trinity.
Timothy makes similar mistakes in reference to the Koran and the Gospels. He
says, It is also possible that the three letters placed before some Surahs in the Kur

Music History thru the Middle Ages, Rennisance, Baroque,...
Music has evolved too many different forms that we recognize today. We trace this
development throughout time. Beginning in the middle ages, we have seen
advancement from the Gregorian chant all the way to the Jazz of the 20th century.
The current events, politics, religion, technology and composers can shape musical
eras during time. Here I will look at the middle ages, renaissance, baroque, classical,
romantic and twentieth century periods. I hope that a better understanding can be
reached to why, when, where and who are the reasons for musical evolution.

In the world, the age saw many explorers in search of a faster trade route to China,

Musicians in the Renaissance society are now professionals and were supported by
the church, city and state as well as the royal and aristocratic courts. The rise of the
merchant class brought new fans to music professionals. With the advent of cheaper
printing, music books became available and affordable making musical literacy
spread dramatically.
The musical style of the renaissance can be noted in the vocal forms by smoothly
gliding melodies. This became regarded as the golden age of cappella style, which is
music without instrumental accompaniment. Polyphony in renaissance style was
based on continuous imitation. This offered many possibilities such as cantus firmus.
Sacred music played a prominent part in ritual of the church. Motets and hymns
became a part of Mass. The motet became a sacred form with a single Latin text.
Motets in praise of the Virgin Mary were extremely popular because of the many
religious groups devoted to Marian worship. Josquin Desprez, a popular master of the
motet and influencer of many composers, composed more than a hundred motets and
numerous secular pieces.

The Baroque period stretched across half of European history. It began shortly before
1600 and ended with the death of Bach in 1750. During this time, there were change

Gospel Of Luke-Acts Essay
Luke s Gospel is known to be the last synoptic to be written. Since Luke introduced
Acts, it is crucial to date Acts before a date for Luke can be determined. Luke
leaves the reader with Paul in Rome, waiting to present his case before Caesar. Acts
had been completed long before Paul s outcome was known, this means that Acts
came about in the early sixties with the Gospel of Lukebeing written in the late fifties
or early sixties. Luke Acts doesn t mention the destruction of Jerusalem, which is why
there are uncertainty of where Christianity fits in amongst the religions of the Roman
Empire, and the uncertainty of Jew Gentile relations at the same level as in Paul s
epistles. Because of the location, it is agreed that Luke Acts was not written... Show

Liberation theology and Historical criticism are quite different in that of liberation
theology looks at the idea of the poor and suffering, where Historical criticism
teaches us about the background of how the Gospel of Luke came about. The
strengths of Liberation theology are that it holds a poor perspective which teaches us
about how Jesus had a heart for the poor and suffering, for Historical criticism the
strengths are how it teaches us about who look Luke is a person and the purpose
he had in writing the Gospel. The weaknesses of the methods I used was that
because both were so different they had different purposes on interpreting the

different way of interpreting the Gospel, so that for them it can give them a better
understanding of the purpose that is set and how it relates to their everyday lives. It
shows how throughout the Gospel Jesus is shown as a helper and how the parables
have meaning to them. The Gospel of Luke teaches us about life, and how Jesus had

Stories such as When Grandma Was Young (Humphrey, 2000), Elmer and Grandpa
Eldo (Mckee, 2001) and My Granny is a Pirate (Mcdermid and Robins, 2012) can
invoke interest with early years children and inspire them to become inquisitive about
the past. It has been suggested that time means nothing to young children. However
learning to ask and answer questions through story reading will enhance their concept
history. Therefore continuing to do so through the Early Learning Goals will prepare
children, entering at primary level, to appreciate the importance of history (Lunn and
Bishop, 2004).
It is important to remember to children do not stop learning history when they finish
their time at primary school. Maintained secondary schools follow the NC which
maintains that all children will continue to learn history by means of the KS3 History
Programmes of Study (2013). Therefore it is important to prepare children for more
challenging and precise history learning. New topics shall be introduced so it is
important children have the skills to identify significant events, make connections,
draw contrasts, and analyse trends (p.72). It is, furthermore, defined that pupils will
pursue historically valid enquiries including some they have framed themselves
(p.72). This indicates towards children becoming independent critical thinkers, a
valuable quality to have in adult
How Does The Crucifixion In The Dream Of The Rood
In The Dream of the Rood, an Anglo Saxon poem written in the early Middle Ages,
Christ s death and burial is described in a manner which is startlingly different from
the original biblical accounts. In order to highlight the important victory of the
crucifixion, the poet of The Dream of the Rood describes Christ as an aggressive
warrior who boldly confronts and defeats sin. This description is constant with the
honor and courage so highly valued in the early medieval culture. The words used to
describe Christ s approach to the crucifixionin The Dream of the Rood reveal the
poet s conscious choice to portray Jesusas a purposeful courageous warrior:
Then the young hero (who was God Almighty)
Got ready, resolute and strong in heart.
...the warrior embraced [the cross].
Instead of simply using the word Christ, the poet calls Jesus the young hero and the
warrior. The poet also presents a warrior like image of Christ by portraying Jesus
exuberantly preparing for combat rather than being lead passively to the cross. Where

Where the book of John says that Jesus bowed his head and gave up his spirit, the
poet of The Dream of the Rood says that Christ sent forth his spirit. This small
difference between these two accounts is important because the poet of The Dream
of the Rood does not suggest that Jesus gently give up his spirit, but rather that he
forcefully and willfully ended his life, in complete control of the situation until the
end. Just as The Dream of the Rood poet omits details in the biblical accounts of the
crucifixion that imply Jesus was a passive participant in his death, he or she de

Tengriism is a religion practiced and based in Central Asia. The actual founding date
of Tengriism has not been confirmed, but it is believed to have begun sometime
around the Bronze Age, which lasted from 3,300 B.C. through to 1,200 B.C. It is one
of the oldest religions, and includes characteristics of shamanism, animism, totemism,
both polytheism and monotheism, and ancestor worship. It is one of the few
religions to represent a pure philosophical vision rather than religious views, having
never caused any wars or sought to convert and propagandize the world. Tengri was
the main divinity worshipped by the ruling class of the Central Asian people from the
6th to 9th centuries, however, it lost this importance in the 8th century. The worship...

Since before the country independence, English was made compulsory in all schools
in Malaysia except vernacular schools such as Malay, Chinese and Tamil medium

status of the English language was replaced by Bahasa Melayu. Nonetheless, English

Clinics started running low on vaccines due to more babies were being vaccinated at the same time causing a major shortage of vaccines. • 6. The Portrayal Of Female Characters In Lysistrata By... Given just the plot of Lysistrata, one might think that Lysistrata by Aristophanes is a highly progressive comedy in which women are empowered and are given meaning beyond the household. Unfortunately, as one starts to delve deeper into the story, there are many things that point the over way, mainly the portrayal of secondary female characters, the women s overall willingness to discount their non physical features and the peace making scene around the end of the story. The events in the play encourage the notion that the best thing young women have going for them is their bodies. In the beginning of the play, it is pointed out that the women present during the pact all have very nice bodies. As each women arrives this is the first thing Lysistrata and Kleonike notice; they make it abundantly clear in the conversation as well. (Aristophanes, 356) While Lysistrata is telling her about her plan, Kleonike even says Wisdom for women? There is nothing cosmic about cosmetics and glamor is our only talent. All we can do is sit, primped and painted, made up and dressed up. (Aristophanes, 353) Even though, the women gain power in the play by withholding sex from the men, they also withhold sex from themselves. Their struggles with coping with the temporary abstinence is demonstrated by frequent complaining among the women and, later, the averted endangerment of the movement as a result of some women trying to ditch the effort. The women that tried to leave gave lame

  • 8. Leadership As A Leader And Being A Good Leader Anyone can be a leader. Leaders come in all shapes, sizes, races, talents, and abilities. Leadership can be described in numerous different ways. According to Merriam Webster Dictionary, leadership is the position or office held by a leader. Oxford dictionary defines leadership as the action of leading a group of people or organization. Ask anyone on the street, and they will give another definition. All of these definitions have one thing in common: leaders are in a position of power and they are in charge of a group of people. However, there is a difference between being a leader and being a good leader. It takes more than simply leading people. Leaders are a role model. They are the people looked to in a time of uncertainty. They are the ones looked to as a guide. That is my personal definition of leadership. It is living your life as a guide for others to follow. People follow others because they are attracted to that person s qualities. Then, our desire to fit in takes over, and we begin to change ourselves slightly to mimic those qualities. Thus, a new leader is born. Therefore, it is of upmost importance that leaders are a positive guide an influence, so more good leaders are inspired. I believe in this process because I have lived through it many times over. As a freshman in high school, I was incredibly shy and nervous about high school athletics. To make things worse I decided to swim, at another high school. Not only did I now have to get

Randolph NURS 3201 Professional Nursing Concepts Mrs. Pautler July 9, 2017 Nursing Theory According to the American Nurses Association, Nursing is the protection, promotion, and optimization of health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, facilitation of healing, alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response, and advocacy in the care of individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations. (American Nurses Association, n.d.) Each professional nursing organization has their own definition of what nursing is. However, there is not one universal definition for nursing. Nursing is an ever changing and growing profession, from the times of Florence Nightingale in the Crimean war with minimal education and the days of very little critical thinking on the nurse s part, to the current days of focus on education and learning and a nurse who leads the care of her patients. From the beginning, nursing leaders developed theories which shaped and developed nursing into the profession we know today. Nursing consists of four metaparadigms which is the conceptual framework of the nursing theories. (Cruz, n.d.) The four metaparadigms are Person, Environment, Health and Nursing. Person refers to the recipient of the nursing care, which in most cases is the actual patient, but in many cases also includes the family of the patient. Environment refers to the surroundings that affect the patient, whether it is the
  • 10. Knowledge Of The Future In Fahrenheit 451 Today, there are many things that are important in life. We should know how to solve equations, speak at least one world language, such as English or Spanish, and know at least some history, like what happened during the Great Depression and what caused it. Many people just memorize the facts to pass the tests and then shove the facts into the back of their memory to eventually be forgotten. At the timethis idea seems good because we won t use this information in the future, right? Wrong, knowing what happened in the pastis actually just as important as what is going on today and what will happen in the future. While the books went up in sparkling whirls and blew away on a wind turned dark with burning (Bradbury, 1:1) Ray Bradbury predicts in his novel Fahrenheit 451, if we continue down the path we re heading then we will eventually be stuck in a world where knowledge is withheld from us and books are constantly burned. The people would vote based on looks and not on insight about the candidates, and they would allow the government to control their entire lives and the government would prevent the people from acquiring the knowledge they need to keep from making the same mistakes over and over again. The government would also, according to Fahrenheit 451, allow people to embark on homicidal massacres, killing hundreds of people, and annihilate dosens just for the fun of it and they wouldn t get punished or even told that manslaughter is
  • 11. The And Recommendations From The Cable Industry V. RECOMMENDATIONS A. RECOMMENDATIONS RESULTING FROM STUDY Customer Service In our extensive research on Time Warner Cable, we found out that Time Warner is one of the biggest names in the cable industry. On the other hand they are know to have notoriously bad customer service, which in turn limits the amount of customers they bring in, and increases the amount of customers that cancel their service. To deal with these problems we have come up with multiple marketing recommendations. In order to get rid of the reputation of bad service Time Warner has to advertise their new and improved customer service so that people will want to buy from Time Warner Cable. One way to start improving customer service is to offer an online survey so that the customers know that their opinion is what s most important to Time Warner Cable. The survey will not just ask if their problems were solved or if the representative was good. It will ask in depth questions about what the customer thought about that particular representative. They also can give follow up surveys a few weeks after a phone call. These surveys will be there to see if the problem that the customer experienced is arising again and to make sure that there are no new problems. These surveys show that Time Warner Cable truly does care for the wellbeing of their customers. Along with surveys Time Warner Cable can also offer holiday specialties such as reduced prices for the holiday season. They can market this by

In a White House press conference; Sean Spicer was asked about Syrian chemical weapons. Part of his response was Hitler never stooped to the level of using chemical weapons. Of course he did. Everyone knows that Adolf Hitler very famously gassed the Jewish population in one of the biggest genocides in world history. This was a massive blunder. Even when given a chance to correct himself, Sean Spicer just bumbled about and said a string of words that barely made a cohesive sentence. As President Trump s appointed Press Secretary, Spicer has a job to make statements for the President directly to the press. Once the video of this hit the internet, liberals took it and ran. The liberal outrage machine accused Spicer of trying to erase the holocaust. By denying the use of chemical weapons, the Trump supporters were somehow standing in solidarity with nazis across time and across the world. Of course erasure of history is a big deal and if Spicer was actively trying to have the press forget the holocaust, then the backlash would be deserved. Instead Spicer is just a simple fool. Self awareness is being conscious of oneself, of one s own style as a leader, and of one s own qualities. Personal reflection and getting feedback from others are necessary elements for developing self awareness, a process labeled double loop learning (Nahavandi, 2009, p. 337). What one learns from others as well from himself is reflected in self awareness. One needs to know his own potential and be aware of his weakness to recognize chances for expansion (Crnokrak, 2010) (Nahavandi, 2009, p. 336 337). This chapter will focus on BIM, project scheduling and on how these both topics can work mutually. The literature objective is to explore and discover what is already researched by researchers. By reading lots of journal more knowledge is gained and can apply to the thesis. All of the information was collected from UNITEN library, and also from the published journals such as Science Direct, IEEE and so on that registered with the university. 2.2 BIM Capabilities BIM is a new technology that should be implementing on the construction industry. U.S. General Service Administration or known as GSA is more categorical in their definition of BIM which is: The purpose of BIM is to make the design information explicit, so that the design intent and program can be immediately understood and evaluated. A BIM based approach fortifies on demand generation of documents such as drawings, lists, tables, and 3D renderings from a consistent BIM. In a sense, these documents present views of the current BIM. A BIM model, therefore, can live longer, contribute more to process efficiency, and provide superior accuracy than traditional 2D CAD drawings . BIM is the interpretation from traditional 2D model to 4D model which is scheduling using database through the building lifecycle. 4D BIM model links to the 3D elements with the project delivery timeline

We are provided with Muriel Glass, the wife that disregards her vows and is more into materialism than the importance of Seymour Glass, her husband and his emotional well being upon returning from World War II. In this story materialism as I am using it, is the meaning of being so consumed in physical appearance or the acquisition of wealth, accompanied with the appetite of material possessions, rather than with spiritual values. We see the illustration of how the personality of being materialist versus on one that relies on emotional wellbeing clash and collide. Obtaining a personality like the one of Muriel generates a blindness to what truly is important in life, especially in a successful marriage. Focusing on the Muriel Glass as the main issue, we see a numerous amount of evidence as to why she is so self centered. Most important so incredibly into being materialist that she totally ignores signs that her husband needs her emotional support through this tough time. The first signs we see to prove that Muriel is into physical appearance is on page three where J.D. Salinger writes, She washed her comb and brush. She took the spot out of the skirt of her beige suit. She moved the button on her Saks blouse. She tweezed out two freshly surfaced hairs in her mole. With that we get the knowledge of someone who is definitely vain. We now know that Muriel uses up her time to look impressive and make sure she is clean cut. Another critical sign that she is very object orientated is on page eleven during, the telephone conversation with her mother in which she states, You remember that awful dinner dress we saw in Bonwit s window? ... She had it on. And all hips. (Salinger) The indication from this is that she judges others based on what they are wearing. Concluding, that she is into clothing and how it is worn, especially how others wear it. We even get the sense that she is into luxurious items because Bonwits was a luxury department store in

Big Brothers Big Sisters of America Impact of Organizational Changes n Team Members Leaders are the central figures in a team, and they are attributed to the largest share of blame or praise depending on the performance. New leaders in an organization are faced with many challenges on how to start making an impact and successfully lead the subordinates on the set mission. According to Kangas (2013), the key element for a new leader is to establish interpersonal links and relationships that are necessary for learning about the organization. The success of the leader and the organization as a team depends on the quality of interpersonal relationships that develop to help the leader in implementing their mission. Additionally, the influence of leaders over their followers is largely founded on the interpersonal relationship as members of a team (Kangas, 2013). Another major source of challenge for leaders in organizations is the implementation of changes that affect the existing relationships and roles in major operations. Comparing Plato s Allegory Of The Cave And The Matrix In Plato s Allegory of the Cave and the Wachowskis The Matrix, the ideas of truth are that it can only be defined by how far one is willing to think outside of their own reality. Both the allegory and the film depict truth as a key of sorts for individuals to break free from their imprisonment. This can be seen by Neo s physical escape from the pod, which he had been unknowingly trapped in his whole life and his ascension to light after being swept down the pod s tube. Pryor to the building of Tower Bridge, London Bridge was the only way to cross the Thames river. By the nineteenth century, the population of London had grown much too large for one bridge, however there was a challenge as to how to build the bridge without disrupting river traffic. In 1876 a Special Bridge Committee was formed to oversee the designing and building of the bridge. The committee decided to open the designing up for public competition. Over fifty designs were submitted and the committee filtered through them until they discovered one that they liked. The chosen design was created by Horace Jones, the city architect, and John Wolfe Barry ( Bridge History ). Construction began in October of 1884. Two gigantic piers were driven into the river bed to support the eleven thousand tons of steel and granite that were used to construct Tower Bridge. The project took eight years, five contractors, and over four hundred thirty construction workers every day to complete. When it was first completed, Tower Bridge was the most largest and most complex bascule bridge ever built. The large bascules were raised and lowered by large hydraulic cylinders that were powered by massive steam engines and boilers. The bridge remained this way until 1976 when it was updated to be ran with oil and electricity ( History of Tower Bridge ).

The errors that the students made in fact reflected the common errors that many ESL students make everyday and though the reason for these errors is still debated in the field of linguistics the errors themselves still tend to be similar across language backgrounds and teaching environments. He finds all her clothing and takes a special interest in the zippers. The zippers on Lenina s spare pair of viscose velveteen shorts were at first a puzzle, then solved, a delight. Zip, and then zip; zip, and then zip; he was enchanted (Huxley 143). It is not even that idea behind what the zippers do, but that actual zippers that delighted him. The World State conditions children at such a young age to be open with sexuality and be comfortable doing adult activity at such a young age. Huxley first introduces the erotic play amongst children by saying, Outside, in the garden, it was playtime. Naked in the warm June sunshine, six or seven hundred little boys and girls were squatting silently in twos and threes among the flowering shrubs (Huxley 30). When the children have their time to play, they often play a game called hunt the zipper. This game introduces sex in a fun way for kids by making it into a game. By using zippers, children are conditioned to connect zippers with the game and be happy when seeing zippers. On the other hand, John, who was raised on the savage reservation, values chastity and modesty; making him an outsider in the World State. John gets himself in a promiscuous situation with Lenina and thinks to himself, He had only to take hold of the zipper at her neck and give one long, strong pull... He shut his eyes (Huxley 144). John thinks of pulling her zipper down because he knows that doing so would give him instant gratification, but he also realized that, although he will be instantly happy, he will come to regret his decision.

These quartets, known as the Haydn Quartets, were among Mozart s first six masterpieces in the medium (Keller, 64). In composing these works, Mozart was inspired by Haydn s recently published Opus 33, which is also a set of six string quartets. When Haydn wrote his Opus 33 in 1781, it was the first time he had written for the string quartetin a period of ten years. The royalty of the time was especially interested in having small instrumental groups play at their social gatherings and official events. The music of these small groups was known as chamber music, because it was usually meant to be performed in a royal patron s private chambers (Rosenstiel, 547). In order to suit the tastes of the aristocracy, this type of music was generally light and elegant. Both Mozart and Haydn were masters of the classical style. Haydn, born 24 years before Mozart, was an innovator in the development of the style. Mozart followed Haydn s lead and went even further by becoming a true master of classical forms. Mozart s works also show a strong sense of emotion, which adds to their power. Haydn wrote more than 80 string quartets during his long career. By the early 1770s, the four movement format was standardized in Haydn s quartets (548). After an exciting first movement in sonata allegro form, Haydn often used a minuet for the second movement. The third movement was usually a slow piece and the fourth movement was usually another up tempo form like the first movement. This order of movements differed from the traditional order, in which the second movement was a slow piece and the third movement was a minuet. By changing the order, Haydn expressed an element of the classical style, because the four movements are balanced in terms of their expressive weight (Rosen, 280).

In the two such defensesthat are studied in this essay, we find that Christians have explained the nature of Trinity with varying degrees of effectiveness and success. Timothy the Patriarch defends the Trinity before the Caliph Madhi with few compelling arguments, and Gregory of Nyssa explains it in a more abstract and therefore more effective way. Each however defends the Trinity according to his understanding of it. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Timothy offers several apt analogies comparing the Trinity to earthly things, yet he fails to offer a compelling argument to refute the Caliph s simple yet powerful statement: If He is one, He is not three; and if He is three he is not one; what is this contradiction? (69). The most obvious of Timothy s logical errors is that he assumes (naturally) that the Son of the Trinity is in fact the Christ or Messiah of the Hebrew Scripture. He therefore refers to Hebrew Scripture to show that the Son is equal and not subservient to the Father: God, therefore, called Christ a Lord through the prophet David, and since no true lord is a servant, it follows that Christ is not a servant (82). The flaw in this logic, or at least the reason for its failure to convince the Caliph, lies in the fact that the Caliph cannot believe that Jesus is the Christ. The logic is also flawed from a modern point of view, for there the writers of the Hebrew Scripture knew neither Jesus nor the concept of the Trinity. It would therefore be anachronistic to use such references or to claim for example that the We of the creation story in Genesis refers to the Christian Trinity. Acts had been completed long before Paul s outcome was known, this means that Acts came about in the early sixties with the Gospel of Lukebeing written in the late fifties or early sixties. Luke Acts doesn t mention the destruction of Jerusalem, which is why there are uncertainty of where Christianity fits in amongst the religions of the Roman Empire, and the uncertainty of Jew Gentile relations at the same level as in Paul s epistles. Because of the location, it is agreed that Luke Acts was not written... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Liberation theology and Historical criticism are quite different in that of liberation theology looks at the idea of the poor and suffering, where Historical criticism teaches us about the background of how the Gospel of Luke came about. The strengths of Liberation theology are that it holds a poor perspective which teaches us about how Jesus had a heart for the poor and suffering, for Historical criticism the strengths are how it teaches us about who look Luke is a person and the purpose he had in writing the Gospel. The weaknesses of the methods I used was that because both were so different they had different purposes on interpreting the Gospel of Luke. The implications arising from my analysis is that people have different way of interpreting the Gospel, so that for them it can give them a better understanding of the purpose that is set and how it relates to their everyday lives. It shows how throughout the Gospel Jesus is shown as a helper and how the parables have meaning to them. The Gospel of Luke teaches us about life, and how Jesus had helped so many, and how we can follow in Jesus footsteps and continue to do what he has done, through the parables that Luke has written in the
  • 53. A Rationale for teaching the Foundation Subjects within... The underlying basis for the inclusion of foundation subjects within early years and primary education might not be immediately apparent, particularly for first year students studying towards qualified teacher status. This essay will, therefore, unfold the reasons for this inclusion whilst including specific reference to the enclosure of history teaching. The National Curriculum (NC), introduced in 1988 and currently undergoing revision, consists of the core subjects: English, mathematics and science; compulsory at all key stages, and the foundation subjects: art, design technology (DT), geography, history, information and communication technology (ICT), modern foreign languages (MFL), music, personal, social and health education(PSHE)... Stories such as When Grandma Was Young (Humphrey, 2000), Elmer and Grandpa Eldo (Mckee, 2001) and My Granny is a Pirate (Mcdermid and Robins, 2012) can invoke interest with early years children and inspire them to become inquisitive about the past. It has been suggested that time means nothing to young children. However learning to ask and answer questions through story reading will enhance their concept history. Therefore continuing to do so through the Early Learning Goals will prepare children, entering at primary level, to appreciate the importance of history (Lunn and Bishop, 2004). It is important to remember to children do not stop learning history when they finish their time at primary school. Maintained secondary schools follow the NC which maintains that all children will continue to learn history by means of the KS3 History Programmes of Study (2013). Therefore it is important to prepare children for more challenging and precise history learning. New topics shall be introduced so it is important children have the skills to identify significant events, make connections, draw contrasts, and analyse trends (p.72). It is, furthermore, defined that pupils will pursue historically valid enquiries including some they have framed themselves (p.72). This indicates towards children becoming independent critical thinkers, a valuable quality to have in adult
  • 54. How Does The Crucifixion In The Dream Of The Rood In The Dream of the Rood, an Anglo Saxon poem written in the early Middle Ages, Christ s death and burial is described in a manner which is startlingly different from the original biblical accounts. In order to highlight the important victory of the crucifixion, the poet of The Dream of the Rood describes Christ as an aggressive warrior who boldly confronts and defeats sin. This description is constant with the honor and courage so highly valued in the early medieval culture. The words used to describe Christ s approach to the crucifixionin The Dream of the Rood reveal the poet s conscious choice to portray Jesusas a purposeful courageous warrior: Then the young hero (who was God Almighty) Got ready, resolute and strong in heart. ...the warrior embraced [the cross]. Instead of simply using the word Christ, the poet calls Jesus the young hero and the warrior. The poet also presents a warrior like image of Christ by portraying Jesus exuberantly preparing for combat rather than being lead passively to the cross. Where the Bible ... This small difference between these two accounts is important because the poet of The Dream of the Rood does not suggest that Jesus gently give up his spirit, but rather that he forcefully and willfully ended his life, in complete control of the situation until the end. Just as The Dream of the Rood poet omits details in the biblical accounts of the crucifixion that imply Jesus was a passive participant in his death, he or she de emphasizes the disgrace, humiliation, and indignity of Christ s position. Nowhere in The Dream of the Rood is it mentioned that Jesus was mocked, flogged, and spit upon in the manner described in the gospel of
  • 55. Tengriism Research Paper Tengriism is a religion practiced and based in Central Asia.
