1. What is a computer?
Is a machine to process and transform data into information and helps to complete
the tasks of the user.
Parts of the computer:
Software: logical part of the computer and it convey all the application used by
the user like Microsoft word, application to make deposits in the bank,
application the hardware like operative system, etc.
Hardware: the physical part the computer and it contains the devices used to
interact with the user and divided in:
1) Input devices:
A. are used to provide information to the computer by the user, this could
be:
(i) The key board
(ii) The mouse, etc.
2) Output devices:
a) Are used to show the results of the process of the data provided to the
computer for example:
i. When you type in the keyboard the computer process
the information of the key pressed and show on the
screen the result
3) Storage devices:
A. They are used to save the information in a permanent way
4) Process devices:
A. Takes the data provided by the user into information that can be used for
different purpose
