A Brief Note On The Civilian Aerospace Industry Essay
Introduction: The civilian aerospace industry comprises firms that produce aircraft and firms that parts
of these aircraft. The most commonly produced civilian transport airliners range from smaller
turboprop aircraft to larger wide body jets. Other types aircraft are produced in much smaller
quantities and include two seat leisure aircraft, corporate jets, and civilian helicopters.
Consumers of the American aircraft include the US government, airline companies, cargo
transportation companies, and various private businesses. Aircraft manufacturers contract with these
firms to produce aircraft. These manufacturers often subcontract with smaller companies for specific
components such as engines and electronics.
The limited amount of aircraft contracts and large economies of scale in aircraft production has led the
civilian aerospace industry to be dominated by a few large firms. The United States is home to most of
the major producers in the civil aerospace industry, notably the Boeing Company, United
Technologies, and General Electric. Due to the complexity of certain aircraft parts, subcontractor firms
specialize to only produce those components. For example, companies such as General Electric and
the United Technologies Corporation specialize in the production of aircraft engines. These parts are
then sold to companies like Boeing and incorporated into the airframe to produce a complete aircraft.
Notable foreign competitors include the European Aeronautic Defence and

New York City Transportation System
New York City developed and (attractiveness) that attracted many people to what it provides.
Thousands of people wanted to arrive into the Big Apple and several businessmen recognized that
demand and tapped into it accordingly. A number of railroads were established and built with some
type of a service to New York City. However, only one railroad, the New York Central Railroad, was
able to have its trains actually enter in New York City via Grand Central Terminal. Unlike the
(previously mentioned) railroad, which developed its transportation route in a (North to South fashion
[reword this part]), the other railroads were running from West/South to East/North. The Pennsylvania
Railroad, Erie Railroad, (Delaware, Lackawanna, and Western), ... Show more content on

While these (rail agencies) have not expanded their services into Penn Station as much as New Jersey
Transit has, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority has studies being worked on to provide such
availabilities with regards to its Metro North Railroad. Two of the aforementioned railroad s lines, the
New Haven and Hudson Line are being looked upon as for having the potential to arrive in Penn
Station rather than terminating into Grand Central Terminal through already existing trackage. The
New Haven Line can utilize the same tracks that Amtrak trains use to run from Penn Station to (New
Rochelle), where it connects to Metro North s New Haven Line; the latter line can run along Amtrak s
Hell Gate Line with the possiblity of adding new train station along the way within the vicinities of Co
op City, Parkchester, and Hunts Point before reaching 34th street. The Hudson Line can run along
Amtrak s Empire Connection line that the agency uses to allow its Empire Service trains to transfer
from Metro North s Hudson Line into Penn Station. Along the line, new rail stations may be
implemented within the vicinities of West 125th and West 62nd Streets in Manhattan s West Side.
While an impressive feat, any developments along these lines will have to be (slowed down) until the
East Side Access is completed, allowing LIRR trains to terminate at Grand Central Terminal instead of
Penn Station; rail traffic in the station is high enough as it is to allow for more trains from a fourth
agency to have trains run into and terminate at. (advantages).

Analysis Of. Eliot s Love Song Of J. Alfred Prufrock
In T.S. Eliot s Love song of J. Alfred Prufrock, Prufrock invites the reader on a journey with him
through his story of love, or love that never was. He speaks to the reader as his love lost and asks her
to stick with him on his journey through time, to learn why their love never transpired. He begins by
showing her his decisions as a young adult, optimistic and confident in time, to prepare for her. Time
goes by, he is now middle aged and insecure of his appearance, now in fear of her rejection and unsure
if he has missed his window. Nearing the end of the poem he has grown older still, having wasted all
time, knowing now that his love story will never be, he is ready to show his lost love, why. Young
Adult Prufrock begins as lite hearted and carefree. He invites his love on a walk at dusk through the
sleazy streets of their town. Begging her not to question him just yet of where they are going, Oh do
not ask what is it let us go and make our visit. (Eliot) Prufrock is confident in time, comfortable in
procrastinating. There will be time, there will be time, to prepare a face to meet the faces that you
meet; there will be time to murder and create; and time for all the works and days of hands that lift and
drop a question on your plate: time for you and time for me, (Eliot) Looking further into the text here,
it leaves the impression that he is stringing the love along, expecting her to wait until he is ready,
assuming that she will always be there when he decides

Authoritarian Teaching Style
Introduction The question that I have been trying to answer for myself during the duration of this
course is; What is good pedagogy? As I see it just like osteopathy, it depends on numerous things, the
beliefs of the educational establishment and its individual teachers and the previous experiences and
beliefs it their learners. I would like to discuss my teaching style and how it impacts on my current
clinical role. Teaching styles Teaching style and skills can be observed as a continuum, with
authoritarian teaching style on the right and permissive teaching on the left. Authoritative teaching
should ideally be sitting in the middle. If the main difference between permissive, authoritarian and
authoritative, can be seen as low or high control or involvement. Although permissive and
authoritarian styles function well in some learning environments, the authoritative style is ideal for
many more educational settings, the teacher utilising this style may find themselves able to manage,
encourage and establish both control and involvement in the majority of teaching environments more
effectively ( Stratford ). When a teacher is too permissive, they are observed to have few if any
boundaries and no expectations for their students. Whereas if a teacher is too authoritarian, their
boundaries and expectations are usually perceived as fixed without taking the learners needs into
account. ( Stratford ) Authoritative teaching style Authoritative teachers aim to stay

The Impact of Mental Health Literacy on Help- Seeking...

Impact of Mental Health Literacy on HelpSeeking Intentions: Results of a Pilot Study with First Year
Psychology Students Key words: mental health literacy; help seeking; young adults Introduction The
mental health of young adults is an area of public health concern. It is important for those with mental
health issues to receive the appropriate support and treatment, and their own help seeking behaviours
are central to this outcome (Rickwood et al, 2005). However, help seeking rates amongst young adults
are less than optimal (Biddle et al, 2007). A factor that may facilitate help seeking and that has been
discussed in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While suggesting a link between knowledge about mental illness symptoms and awareness of
appropriate help sources, it does not provide information about the young person s own help seeking
intentions should they develop a similar problem. Studies investigating barriers to help seeking can
provide this information, with many identified barriers reflecting deficits in mental health literacy. A
barrier to help seeking identified by several studies was the belief that psychological problems will
improve by themselves and/or can be selfmanaged (Cigularov et al, 2008; Eisenberg et al, 2007;
Vanheusden et al, 2008). A related barrier identified by Eisenberg et al (2007) is normalising the
problem. These barriers suggest a lack of knowledge about the importance of help seeking for
symptoms of mental illness, and may also indicate negative beliefs about mental illness. A further
barrier related to such negative beliefs is the view that requiring help is a sign of mental weakness
(Vanheusden et al, 2008). The belief that treatment might make things worse or that treatment would
not help (Vanheusden et al, 2008) may indicate lack of knowledge about the helpfulness of
interventions that are available for many mental illnesses. Knowledge deficits in a range of practical
areas have also been identified as barriers

Today In Society People Are Starting To Gradually Become
Today in society people are starting to gradually become more open to the transvestite community.
Some people take pleasure in dressing as the opposite sex in society. Even though someone dresses as
the opposite sex doesn t mean that they still couldn t be attracted to the opposite sex. When people see
a male or female dressed as the opposite sex their automatic assumption is that there gay but that s not
always the case. A male or female might want to dress in the opposite sex because either they don t
want to be labeled by their clothing or they like to wear clothing that suits them best.

In this cartoon, Mr. Potato head is not following the standard general rules of society. Now earlier in
this paper the term Symbolic Interactionism was brought up, it comes into play because of the four
behaviors of communications. Knowledge and beliefs both come into play together because by the
reaction that Mrs. Potato head gave to her husband. As she was growing up she was probably taught
from her family and the type of culture that she was raised on that men and women are supposed to
behave, dress and have certain responsibilities according to their gender.
Just because we got the impression by her body posture and facial expressions that she was upset and
disapproving her husband s actions doesn t mean our assumptions were necessarily true. Looks can be
deceiving, a variety of things could have been going through her head. Being that Mrs. Potato head is
his wife she is also considered as his significant other, therefore she as a lot of influence on his
judgment. His expression is probably because he never wanted her to know or he was afraid of her to
know about his secret because she might judge or leave him over it. If he would have told her he d be

Romeo And Juliet Potion Essay
Love has been a stabilizer and terrorizer for many families for as long as we can remember. In the play
Romeo and Juliet the two main characters, Romeo and Juliet, quickly fall in love. The two do
whatever they can to live happily ever after, together. Romeo and Juliet s deep love for each other
drives them to kill themselves, because they believe it is the only option they have left to be together.
The first time death becomes a thought is shortly after Tybalt s death. Romeo was the guilty murderer
of Tybalt, causing his banishment from Verona. This takes a large toll on Romeo and Juliet s
relationship. As she finds out about Romeo s banishment, Nurse says, Faith, here it is, Romeo is
banished, and all to the world is nothing (Shakespeare ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

she is laying and takes the poison with him. When he reaches her he utters, Well, Juliet, I will lie with

How Facebook Can Generate Leads On Pinterest
How To Generate Leads On Pinterest
Do you love Pinterest but aren t sure you re using it as well as you could for your business? Feel like
you re missing something?
You just might be.
Pinterest is so much more than pretty pictures of pretty things. It s an increasingly popular,
increasingly successful platform for marketing, with some sources citing a single Pin worth 78 cents
in real world sales.
But not everyone succeeds on the platform. Pinterest has far and away the most gender targeted
audience of the top 6 social platforms. We re talking about a social site with an 80 percent female user
base. For those businesses that know how to connect on it, though, it s becoming the most exciting
platform with the most exciting opportunities ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This environment also is perfect for a lead generation contest, as 70 percent of Pinterest users use the
platform to get inspiration on what to buy (compared to 17 percent on Facebook). This creates an
environment where people actively want the things they see.
Tip #1: Ensure your Pinterest images are in portrait mode and roughly 600 pixels by 900. Compress
them to below 100 KB there are hundreds of image compressing tools online if possible.
Step by step:
On your website (or on Facebook or Twitter with a 3rd party app), create a visually appealing landing
page devoted to your contest. Create a contest in which users pin images of your products or their
favorite related images onto their own boards. Decide on a prize closely related to your business. (This
ensures leads are genuinely interested in your products, instead of simply a cash prize or random
iPad.) Email gate entry to the contest by requiring that entrants provide their email address before they
can enter to win (lead generation!). On the entry form, ask entrants to enter the URL of the Pinterest
board they re submitting. You can either choose the winner of your pin to win contest yourself or (with
a 3rd party app) open the contest to voting. Voting encourages entrants to share and promote their
pinned images (and therefore your brand) across their own social

Catheterization Research Paper
Catheters are tubes that are used to drain fluids from the body. They are often employed in removing
the fluid from the urinary bladder and therefore, are an important element in urology care. It is
important to understand their importance and correct use, if you are looking to take care of a patient. It
used in a variety of environments.
Here, we first look at how catheters are used and then discuss the problems that may appear when they
are not used in the proper manner.
Catheters in Urology Care
Catheters are basically connected either to a bodily vessel or a cavity. They can be used to either drain
body fluids or push medicine into the body. Catheterization can be done, using a number of needles
and tubes. Some of them are soft while some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They are easily employed by a patient or a trained caregiver at home and therefore, ensure that they
can be used in different circumstances. They are perfect for people who have lost their urinary control
due to a variety of reasons.
The advantage of this method is that you can avoid constant catheterization which is associated with
several problems, such as male infertility and tract infections. The method also ensures that patients
can keep their bladder pressure low throughout the day. These catheters do not cause prolonged issues
and can easily be avoided once the person is able to use ordinary methods.
Foley Catheter A Foley catheter is designed to be connected to the bladder through the urethra. It is the
most commonly used catheter in urology care. It has two channels with one open and the other one
with a balloon. The open channel is used to drain urine out while the closed channel is used to inflate
the balloon. The inflation keeps a Foley catheter in place. These catheters are created these days from
silicone rubber.
They should only be used when indicated by a medical practitioner. As they are inserted through the
urethra, they carry a greater risk of infections and other side effects.

Social Otherness In David Harsent s Duffel Bag
Composers of texts often use language devices to convey the ways in which social otherness impacts
upon one s perspective. The language devices employed by the composer show that social otherness is
capable of completely altering the viewpoint that one holds. It can change the way that people
perceive things entirely, therefore changing them as a person given that one s perceptive ability
defines their overall character. This use of language devices gestures towards the character
development made possible by the impacts of, and direct interaction with social otherness. David
Harsent s Duffel Bag a poem about a person living on the fringes of society and battling addiction and
exclusion, perfectly encapsulates the impacts of social otherness on one s perspective. ... Show more

Harsent s poem Moppet details the struggles of an unnamed, genderless person facing abuse, and how
that affects their sense of self and their quality of life in general. Similarly, composers also employ
language devices to expand on the impact one s perspective has on social otherness. This strengthens
one s ability to understand or empathise with the social otherness faced within the text. To exemplify
the impacts of one s perspective on social otherness, composers use language devices such as; slang,
metaphors and irony. In Edward Albee s The Zoo Story a play detailing the meeting of two drastically
different men, Peter, who is on the higher side of the social hierarchy and Jerry, who is on the lower
side, the effects of Jerry s perspective on his state of social otherness are greatly significant. In all of
these texts, the composers use language techniques to enhance the impacts of social otherness upon
one s perspective and the impacts of one s perspective on social

Behavioral outcome ( Nursing Theory, 2017) is the end goal, as the greater the commitments to a
specific plan of action, the more likely health promoting behaviors are to be maintained over time (

physical interpersonal environment to create incentives for health actions. Furthermore, the concept of

Father Son Relationships In The Book Night
In the book Night, there were three father son relationships. They were all very different but at the
same time had many similarities. Being in the Holocaust really changed their relationships. Eliezer

their children. Another reason is because at Eliahou s son left him towards the end, but Eliezer thought
about leaving his father earlier in the book. The difference between them is Eliezer never actually left
his son, and prayed to God to give him the strength to never turn into Eliahou s son. Also, Eliezer and

Self Driving Vehicles
In about a decade, self driving cars have transformed from a distant, futuristic dream to a close
certainty. As people begin to acclimate to the idea of self driving cars, developers, such as Google,
Tesla, Audi, and Nissan race to create the best, road ready, consumer ready vehicles that are able to
navigate our streets independently.
While I believe will soon be widely adopted by the young and old alike, the reality is these cars will
be more expensive and may be difficult for your average joe to afford. Although the personal
ownership of self driving vehicles will undeniably occur, fleets of driverless vehicles run through
companies like Uber, Lyft, Google, and many more, will be the compelling force behind the driverless
revolution that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Studies have shown some consumers are cautious of handing over control to a computer, however
studies have also shown they are quick to overcome these fears when that have even a brief, positive
experience with the technology. With developer companies investing and pushing for this technology,
it is simply a matter of time before everyone and their neighbor is familiar and comfortable in
driverless vehicles.
The noticeable advantage of self driving cars is that they allow for a shared vehicle ownership model,
whether ownership is shared between companies, cities, or individuals. Although cars are one of the
most expensive things a family might own, 96% of the time, they stand idle in driveways, parking lots,
and garages. By developing a network of self driving cars, fewer will be needed to transport the same
amount of people if they can drive themselves around to help someone run errands while the car

College Essay On Cosplay
In New York, there is something spectacular. Every fall, approximately one hundred and thirty
thousand people gather under one roof to celebrate the largest and most exciting pop convention on
the East Coast. Featuring hundreds of booths and panels on television, movies, video games, anime,

performance art where people outfit themselves with elaborate costumes and accessories to become
their favorite characters. While the practice originated in Japan, by the early 90 s it gained traction in
North America and is now present at almost every comic convention. Heading to NYCC has always

also brought in countless numbers of tourist to come see the Canal, making the economy grow and
grow. Before the canal the boats would have to go under South America where there were strong
winds and cold waters, taking a long time. After the canal was built, it cut 8,000 miles from travel time
to go around South America, and made the cost less for ships wanting to get to the Pacific or Atlantic
Ocean. Now, countries are able to trade with other countries far away because of the canal. The overall
importance of the Canal is very high. Without it, Panama wouldn t have the booming city like it does
today, would have a low amount of jobs, and other countries wouldn t be able to trade easily by boat.
The canal has made shipment of goods by boats much easier, since they don t have to cut under South
America. If it was never created, boat travel would not be like it is today.

Compare my last duchess and Porhyria s lover considering in particular how the 2 central characters

Both poems, My Last Duchess and Porphyria s Lover have similarities and differences. This can be

This can be seen in, some how I know not how as if she ranked/ My gift of a nine hundred year old

others. He, in fact, ranked his nine hundred year old name, his nobility and especially status above
everything. Therefore he felt, his gift could not be bettered by anyone. This quote also suggests that
the Duke was proud about his status.
The Duke is obsessively possessive. This can be seen in That s my
Last Duchess painted on the wall. This quote shows how the Duke regarded the Duchess as one of
objects. Also within this quote, the possessive pronoun my is used. This highlights his possessive
qualities. Later on in the poem, we see that he treats every woman in such a manner. This can be seen
in Though his fair daughter s self, as I avowed/ At starting, is my object. He describes the Count s
daughter as being an item. This also shows that the Duke was after the money he was going to receive
as dowry after he married the Count s daughter. Therefore we can see that the Duke was greedy and
powerful.
All of these characteristics of the Duke, especially his power, might suggest that the Duke was
involved in the murder of the Duchess. This is evident in I gave commands; / Then all smiles stopped

This quote might suggest that the Duke gave commands to kill the
Duchess because of her flirtatious nature. This is because the smiles

Why Do Paper Towel Absorb The Most Water
AIM: To determine which brand of 3 ply paper towel will absorb the most water
HYPOTHESIS: Brands with thicker paper towels will absorb more water as there are more molecules
present that are the key to absorbency in paper towels
INTRODUCTION:
The key to absorbency in paper towels are the fibers called cellulose molecules which are big
molecules that consist of lots of tiny sugar molecules chained together. When a paper towel becomes
wet, the water molecules rush in and cling onto the cellulose fibers which is why it is able to absorb
the water. Therefore most of the time, thicker the paper towels means there will be more fibers
resulting in more water absorbed.

The results in the table show that the paper towels from the brand Kleenex was able to absorb the most
water as it was the thickess, therefere proving my hypothesis, thicker paper towels will absorb more
water, correct. The results also showed that different paper towels absorb different amounts of water,
some more and some less.
The fibers that make up the paper towel are what enables the towel itself to absorb water. The more
fibers, the more water is absorbed which is why Kleenex was the most successful paper towel brand in
this experiment as it was more thick and held more fibers.
There weren t many weaknesses identified in the experiment design but there were a few
disadvantages of doing this experiment, the main one being that whlist the paper towel was removed
from the beaker using our fingers. This may of slightly affected the results as some of the water may
of fell back into the beaker or were stuck to our fingers. To avoid this, tongs should be used instead.
An unforeseen problem that arouse during the experiment was that we could not measure anything
beneath 100ml with the 500ml beaker so we had to improvise and use a measuring cynliner which
solved the problem but also affected the results as some of the water could ve remained

The Death Of The Funeral
Things are tense, somehow through the whole school, like they ve ripped off some sort of band aid.
Veronica remembered the last time it was like this; this bad. Detention had only been the beginning of

Larkin Church Going
Religion affects everyone s lives. Even for an atheist religion shapes the world around them. In his
poem Church Going , Philip Larkin shows the daily struggles and doubts of atheists, who are
constantly having God thrown into their faces by using a bitter tone and gloomy imagery.
Philip Larkin uses a bitter tone throughout his poem to represent the resentful feelings that the speaker
has towards believing in God. For example, Once I am sure there s nothing going on I step inside,
letting the door thud shut, Another Church . Here he is showing his doubts of walking into the church.
He checks to make sure nothing or nobody sees him walking inside as though they might see him as a
religious man. Later Larkin says, I sign the book, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

church. The sprawlings of flowers were cut for Sunday and were beautiful, then slowly turned to a
brownish color showing Larkin s negativity towards christianity. He then states, Move forward, run

I not only learned about the procedures for child support but I also learned things that will help in any
career that I decide to get into. I learned about proper communication skills. During my time at the
office I watched how communication was very important. Our communication skills can help in many
things and one major thing is to calm a person down, express compassion, give assurance. I witnessed
several clients going into the offices very bothered and frustrated with their cases or some would even
come in sad and disappointed but the office staff knew how to communicate properly with them and
assure them of any concerns they had. Another thing I learned is multi tasking. The office was all
about multi tasking and doing things fast. I realized that I need to work on my typing in order to type
faster. Since I am interested in office work I do need to type faster than I do now. Regarding multi
tasking, I had to document, file, and place in order all the paperwork for files that needed to be ready

to be printed and also programs where I had to notate what changes were done to the case or the latest
update on the file. I also learned to proper documentation and filing. I had to constantly document any
changes I made to each file. Each documentation was detailed and had to have a date the change was
made, what was the change, and who made the change. I also learned the importance of
confidentiality. During my time at the office they were very clear on how confidentiality is their

There are times when you want to rest your baby to relieve your arms and still want the baby to get a

The Impact Of Domesticated Animals In Africa
The second factor is domesticated animals. The geographic location controls how an animal evolves
and how they adapt to the change in climate due to the change in seasons. In dry places like the
continent of Africa, there are not very many plants available to herbivores. Because of this, there are
more carnivores in Africa which makes it more difficult to domesticate animals. The ability to
domesticate animals helps a civilization develop, as it helps people with agriculture and transportation.
In Eurasia, 13 of the 14 animal candidates for domestication were successfully domesticated. Because
of this, the people of Eurasia were able to develop at a faster rate. The domesticated animals were able
to provide meat, milk, protein, warmth, create fertilizer, eat garbage and were able to be put to work.
The domesticated animals had an easy diet, were able to grow quickly, were able to breed, had good
disposition. The animals also had social structure which made it easier for animals to follow humans.
The geography of Eurasia provided the people with the animals needed to help develop. Since the
animals met the five requirements and were able to benefit humans in multiple ways. On the other
hand, on the hot continent of Africa, not one animal was able to be domesticated because most of the
animals are carnivores. Carnivores are tough to provide food for because it takes a lot of time and a lot
of food to feed an herbivore and a lot of herbivores to feed a carnivore. Breeding can

Km and 5,000 sq. Km allocated 6 Kits · Wards with above 5,000 sq. Km allocated 8 Kits. Since Wards
are different in sizes, even within counties, the analysis of distribution at the county level or regional
level will not provide a representation of a fair conclusion on the spread. For instance, Kilifi County
has 35 Wards of varying sizes but threeWards (Ganze 5,427 sq. km; Bamba 1,532.70; Marafa and
686.90 sq. km.) account for 62% of the entire area of Kilifi County. This means that the three Wards
will get between 6 8 kits and yet the majority of the remaining Wards will receive four kits each. In
the case of Bomet County, the total number of Wards falling within the second category of 31 500 sq.
km is 25. This entitles Bomet to a total of 100 kits using the formula. The concerns that the population
of the unregistered issued with IDs is low and therefore Bomet does not deserve the number of kits is
clearly misleading. Because issuance of IDs is dynamic and the baseline might change at any given

Taking a Look at Bullying
Bullying Bullying in schools was perceived to be a normal part of adolescent, however, when people
begin to have this mentality, they forget that bullying is physically and psychologically harmful to
both the bully and the victim. Bullying was known as an unfortunate cycle of adolescents and for
many years have been dismissed as a passage of growing up. But not until tragic events have led to
believe that bullying has a greater impact on a child s life what first were playful jokes it has led to
traumatic experience and at some cases death. According to John Cloud a writer of the Times
magazine a 17 year old named T.J. Lane was supposedly seen in a high school outside of Cleveland
with a gun. The crime scene was Chardon High School cafeteria where it was reported that Lane fired
10 shots. According to report five students were hit and three were dead. Leaving people asking what
would prompt a 17 year old to do such a malicious crime. The answer may lie in T.J s childhood. Lane
looked like a friendly guy who had a great social life and who even had a ton of friends on his social
media accounts. But behind the lovable personality lied the hardship of his childhood. Both of his
parents were arrested for domestic violence, this forced Lane to live with his grandparents. It is
unfortunate that T.J. could not find people that could help him with his situation and now he will pay
for his actions. But there is another extreme to this bullying crisis, according to Deborah

not outwardly partake in this religion is because of its known ability to backfire on those who are

Stephen Dunn s Poem Sweetness
After reading the Elements of Poetry and the six poems it becomes clear that there are signs of the
fourteen elements within the six poems. The Element of Poetry is what has helped me understand the
fourteen elements within poetry. The first and most important method of analyzing a poem is look at
the way the poem stanzas are structured, which are the series of lines within a poem. For example a
poem with two lines per stanza is known as a couplet, where a poem with eight lines per stanza is
known as an octave. The structure is what helps sets up the overall organization of the lines and the
patterns of sound within a poem. Take Stephen Dunn poem Sweetness for example, his poem is made

Creating A Winning Employee Recognition Culture
12 Powerful Tips to Build a Winning Employee Recognition Culture About 65 percent of the people in
one survey reported that they received no recognition over the last 12 months for their work.
[Baudville.com: Top 12 Employee Appreciation Statistics https://ideas.baudville.com/h/i/200247240
top 12 employee appreciation statistics] In the same report, 89 percent of employers feel that most
employees leave their companies to earn more money. However, most workers who leave their jobs
cite lack of appreciation as a major reason for seeking other opportunities. HR departments, which are
challenged to recruit and retain the best people, are the prime movers for implementing a culture that
recognises employees, motivates them in their jobs and rewards them with essential psychological
rewards that extend far beyond material incentives. Spending money on routine company gift cards isn
t the same as offering personalised and specific praise based on an employee s performance. Gifts and
incentives can reinforce any verbal praise, but providing honest and thoughtful recognition is one of
the most critical things leaders and HR departments can do to foster a positive company culture where
people enjoy working. Organisations with the most effective recognition strategies have 31 percent
lower turnover rates due to voluntary migration of staff members. [Officevibe.com: Employee

The Importance Of Setting In Frankenstein
In writing, there are several ways to disclose the information about the story and the character instead
of listing it out. The familiar way is through events and dialogue, but Mary Shelly also uses the setting
of each situation to do this. Settings like town to city , the weather like the terrible storm that takes
place continuously and the inspirational nature in the novel, Frankenstein. By using these methods the
story seems more intense and stays in the reader s mind. Mary Shelly s comprehensive description of
the scenes of the story makes the story unforgettable and it also helps the reader understand events,
and helps to identify the character s personalities and about the future events in the story. one of the

While victor is trying to overcome the murders of his friends and family and his own illness, he often
seeks nature for peace. After all of his struggle in the life, he goes out in the forest and mountains to
find his peace and quietness. We passed a fortnight in these perambulations: my health and spirits had
long been restored, and they gained additional strength from the salubrious air I breathed, the natural
incidents of our progress . . . the air is not only necessary for life but for Victor, it gives him his
strength. Nature is more important to Victor s health. While Victor is shocked and horrified with his
creation, the monster, murdering his friends and family, he constantly seems to be drawn by the nature
for support instead of his friends and family. Even after Elizabeth s murder, Victor is attracted to
nature. He enjoys the nature and the different instincts of it, makes him happy. Another character that
finds peace in nature is Victor s creator, The Monster. While the monster is surrounded by the tress
and the noise of the birds, he really enjoys his life, he likes staying there but as soon as he gets around

Classic Chic Bride Persuasive Essay
Classic Chic Bride and Groom Cake Toppers
These days, most couples don t resonate with the traditional plastic bride and groom cake toppers. You
remember, the formally attired bride and groom with big plastic smiles, painted on their little plastic
faces. Yet, some couples do want a traditional wedding, complete with all the rituals.
Fortunately, there are refreshing alternatives for the old standbys! You may still have your bride and
groom figurines, except they will be crafted from hand painted porcelain or long lasting acrylic, rather
than cheap plastic.
And because the 2016 focus is on the couple s story, there are scads of figurines symbolizing scenes
such as, first dance, first kiss, relaxing in the garden, etc.
Here are some of our favourite classic chic bride and groom cake toppers. ... Show more content on

The Food Safety Policy Of The European Union
Introduction
Everybody loves food, everybody has to eat. Unfortunately not all food is safe for us to consume, even
though it may appear to be safe. There are over 200 known microbial, chemical or physical agents that
can cause illness when ingested(Acheson, 1999). There has to be regulations to keep the US and EU
citizens healthy and protected from these harmful agents in our food. In the United States, this is
where the FDA(Food and Drug Administration) the CDC(Centers for Disease Control) and the
USDA(United States Department of Agriculture) step in. The FDA controls food and drug regulations,
the CDC helps identify pathogen and diseases and the USDA deals with meat and poultry regulations.
In the European Union(EU) a close FDA ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The 1990s was the decade that Europe was hit with the Mad Cow disease crisis that caused a great
number of the EU citizens to distrust their government. In response to this distrust, the government
came up with different studies and initiatives to change and reorganize food safety(Halkier Holm,
2006)policy. Today, because of the constant race to defend against food borne illnesses, the European
Union has one of the highest food safety standards in the world. The European Commission developed
an integrated approach to food safety which they call from farm to table . The goal is to address all
problems in all sectors of the food chain before they get to the consumers plate. These sectors include:
feed production, primary production, food processing, storage, transport and retail sale. The EU has
implemented a number of legislation pieces to achieve this goal such as: the General Food Law, a new
general Food Safety Policy, and the European Food Safety Authority(EFSA). The European Food
Safety Authority provides scientific advice and support to the authorities who regulate food safety and
they also find ways to communicate its scientific finding to the public. In addition, there are a few
other initiatives and agencies that help deal with food safety such as the Rapid Alert System for Food
and Feed. This is a system that very quickly alerts authorities and the

The Angel Of Death Research Paper
The Angel of Death
The Nazi party rose to power in 1933 under the leadership of Adolf Hitler, and would soon unleash a
reign of terror and death upon Europe. However, Hitler was not directly responsible for all of the
terror to ensue; there were many Nazi followers and soldiers who committed unspeakable crimes of
war and other atrocious acts even as far as crimes against humanity. One such man was Dr. Josef
Mengele.
Mengele was born March 16th, 1911 in Günzburg, Germany. He received his Ph. D. in physical
anthropology in 1935, when he was 24 from the University of Munich. A few years later, in 1937 he
was the assistant to Dr. Otmar von Vercheur who was famous for his research on twins. In 1945,
Mengele fled Germany. He was caught by US soldiers who later released him, not realizing who
exactly he was. Mengele was never found alive again. It was said that after he escaped, he befriended
a Nazi supporter in Brazil named Wolfgang Gerhard, who hid Mengele for years and even ... Show

It is hard to imagine someone able to do such horrible things to a person and be able to calmly walk
them to their deaths as if it was nothing. Like the Nazi system Mengele was able to let people believe
in a false sense of security, thinking they had the system, and Mengele s intentions figured out while
they were unknowingly being led to their demise.
Josef Mengele was a revered scholar and one of the most infamous members of the Nazi party known
of today, especially through the crimes against humanity he committed from his work with
experimentation and torture on twins and many others. In most pictures found of Mengele he is
showing off his gap toothed smile, but behind that smile is the terrible Angel of

  • 2. A Brief Note On The Civilian Aerospace Industry Essay Introduction: The civilian aerospace industry comprises firms that produce aircraft and firms that parts of these aircraft. The most commonly produced civilian transport airliners range from smaller turboprop aircraft to larger wide body jets. Other types aircraft are produced in much smaller quantities and include two seat leisure aircraft, corporate jets, and civilian helicopters. Consumers of the American aircraft include the US government, airline companies, cargo transportation companies, and various private businesses. Aircraft manufacturers contract with these firms to produce aircraft. These manufacturers often subcontract with smaller companies for specific components such as engines and electronics. The limited amount of aircraft contracts and large economies of scale in aircraft production has led the civilian aerospace industry to be dominated by a few large firms. The United States is home to most of the major producers in the civil aerospace industry, notably the Boeing Company, United Technologies, and General Electric. Due to the complexity of certain aircraft parts, subcontractor firms specialize to only produce those components. For example, companies such as General Electric and the United Technologies Corporation specialize in the production of aircraft engines. These parts are then sold to companies like Boeing and incorporated into the airframe to produce a complete aircraft. Notable foreign competitors include the European Aeronautic Defence and ... The New Haven Line can utilize the same tracks that Amtrak trains use to run from Penn Station to (New Rochelle), where it connects to Metro North s New Haven Line; the latter line can run along Amtrak s Hell Gate Line with the possiblity of adding new train station along the way within the vicinities of Co op City, Parkchester, and Hunts Point before reaching 34th street. He begins by showing her his decisions as a young adult, optimistic and confident in time, to prepare for her. Time goes by, he is now middle aged and insecure of his appearance, now in fear of her rejection and unsure if he has missed his window. Nearing the end of the poem he has grown older still, having wasted all time, knowing now that his love story will never be, he is ready to show his lost love, why. Young Adult Prufrock begins as lite hearted and carefree. He invites his love on a walk at dusk through the sleazy streets of their town. Begging her not to question him just yet of where they are going, Oh do not ask what is it let us go and make our visit. (Eliot) Prufrock is confident in time, comfortable in procrastinating. There will be time, there will be time, to prepare a face to meet the faces that you meet; there will be time to murder and create; and time for all the works and days of hands that lift and drop a question on your plate: time for you and time for me, (Eliot) Looking further into the text here, it leaves the impression that he is stringing the love along, expecting her to wait until he is ready, assuming that she will always be there when he decides ... • 5. Authoritarian Teaching Style Introduction The question that I have been trying to answer for myself during the duration of this course is; What is good pedagogy? As I see it just like osteopathy, it depends on numerous things, the beliefs of the educational establishment and its individual teachers and the previous experiences and beliefs it their learners. I would like to discuss my teaching style and how it impacts on my current clinical role. Teaching styles Teaching style and skills can be observed as a continuum, with authoritarian teaching style on the right and permissive teaching on the left. Authoritative teaching should ideally be sitting in the middle. If the main difference between permissive, authoritarian and authoritative, can be seen as low or high control or involvement. Although permissive and authoritarian styles function well in some learning environments, the authoritative style is ideal for many more educational settings, the teacher utilising this style may find themselves able to manage, encourage and establish both control and involvement in the majority of teaching environments more effectively ( Stratford ). When a teacher is too permissive, they are observed to have few if any boundaries and no expectations for their students. Whereas if a teacher is too authoritarian, their boundaries and expectations are usually perceived as fixed without taking the learners needs into account. It is important for those with mental health issues to receive the appropriate support and treatment, and their own help seeking behaviours are central to this outcome (Rickwood et al, 2005). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While suggesting a link between knowledge about mental illness symptoms and awareness of appropriate help sources, it does not provide information about the young person s own help seeking intentions should they develop a similar problem. Studies investigating barriers to help seeking can provide this information, with many identified barriers reflecting deficits in mental health literacy. A barrier to help seeking identified by several studies was the belief that psychological problems will improve by themselves and/or can be selfmanaged (Cigularov et al, 2008; Eisenberg et al, 2007; Vanheusden et al, 2008). A related barrier identified by Eisenberg et al (2007) is normalising the problem. These barriers suggest a lack of knowledge about the importance of help seeking for symptoms of mental illness, and may also indicate negative beliefs about mental illness. A further barrier related to such negative beliefs is the view that requiring help is a sign of mental weakness (Vanheusden et al, 2008). The belief that treatment might make things worse or that treatment would not help (Vanheusden et al, 2008) may indicate lack of knowledge about the helpfulness of interventions that are available for many mental illnesses. I witnessed several clients going into the offices very bothered and frustrated with their cases or some would even come in sad and disappointed but the office staff knew how to communicate properly with them and assure them of any concerns they had. Another thing I learned is multi tasking. The office was all about multi tasking and doing things fast. I realized that I need to work on my typing in order to type faster. Since I am interested in office work I do need to type faster than I do now. Regarding multi tasking, I had to document, file, and place in order all the paperwork for files that needed to be ready for court. I had to have over 4 programs open on my desktop to look for photos and files that needed to be printed and also programs where I had to notate what changes were done to the case or the latest update on the file. I also learned to proper documentation and filing. I had to constantly document any changes I made to each file. Each documentation was detailed and had to have a date the change was made, what was the change, and who made the change. I also learned the importance of confidentiality. • 32. The Impact Of Domesticated Animals In Africa The second factor is domesticated animals. The geographic location controls how an animal evolves and how they adapt to the change in climate due to the change in seasons. In dry places like the continent of Africa, there are not very many plants available to herbivores. Because of this, there are more carnivores in Africa which makes it more difficult to domesticate animals. The ability to domesticate animals helps a civilization develop, as it helps people with agriculture and transportation. In Eurasia, 13 of the 14 animal candidates for domestication were successfully domesticated. Because of this, the people of Eurasia were able to develop at a faster rate. The domesticated animals were able to provide meat, milk, protein, warmth, create fertilizer, eat garbage and were able to be put to work. The domesticated animals had an easy diet, were able to grow quickly, were able to breed, had good disposition. The animals also had social structure which made it easier for animals to follow humans. The geography of Eurasia provided the people with the animals needed to help develop. Since the animals met the five requirements and were able to benefit humans in multiple ways. On the other hand, on the hot continent of Africa, not one animal was able to be domesticated because most of the animals are carnivores. Carnivores are tough to provide food for because it takes a lot of time and a lot of food to feed an herbivore and a lot of herbivores to feed a carnivore. Breeding can ... Since Wards are different in sizes, even within counties, the analysis of distribution at the county level or regional level will not provide a representation of a fair conclusion on the spread. For instance, Kilifi County has 35 Wards of varying sizes but threeWards (Ganze 5,427 sq. km; Bamba 1,532.70; Marafa and 686.90 sq. km.) account for 62% of the entire area of Kilifi County. This means that the three Wards will get between 6 8 kits and yet the majority of the remaining Wards will receive four kits each. In the case of Bomet County, the total number of Wards falling within the second category of 31 500 sq. km is 25. This entitles Bomet to a total of 100 kits using the formula. The concerns that the population of the unregistered issued with IDs is low and therefore Bomet does not deserve the number of kits is clearly misleading.
