On Wednesday, November 30th at 7:30 p.m, I attended The Lebanon Valley College Chamber
Orchestra and String Chamber Ensembles . It took place at the Lutz Hall. This hall is located at
the Blair Music Center (LVC). It can fit up to 500 people. This time there was about 50 60
people. For this event, the hall was not decorated as I expected. It had a camera in the middle,
recording the concert and that s about it. The stage was big, it fit the 26 members of the orchestra
comfortably.
Entering the hall, there was a guy with the programs on his hand. He was very sympathetic. He

With a total of five performances. Johannes Dietrich was the conductor and he played in all of
the performances. The first performance was Mc Mozart s Eine kleine bricht Moonlicht Nicht
Musik by Teddy Bor. This performance lasted for about four minutes. It had a total of four

Gilgamesh Female Characters
In this paper, I am going to analyze the female characters that caught my attention the most in the
three stories The Epic of Gilgamesh, Thousand and One Nights, and Candide. They all are
important characters in each of the stories and their influence in the story is to help. These stories
also depict how women were being treated during these times such as being used for their bodies
and wisdom. The characters that I will be analyzing in the paper are Shamhat, Ishtar, Shiduri,
Sharazad, the Old Woman, and Cunegonde. In all three stories, they mostly share the same
depictions of the role of women and how women weren t really important besides their bodies.
To start off, there were three characters from The Epic of Gilgameshthat interested me, so I will
begin by analyzing them. The first character was Shamhat. She was a hierodule, temple prostitute,
that Gilgamesh used to help civilize Enkidu. Besides being a prostitute, she caught my attention
because of her caring personality and generosity. She did things that she wasn t obligated to do
such as taking off some of her clothing to cloth Enkidu. She also went out of her way to teach
Enkidu how to eat, dress himself, and keep himself groomed like a human being should.
Shamhat isn t a jealous or possessive lover, she prepared Enkidu for life outside of the wild and

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you spilled something onto your recorded audio
Compact Disk (CD) and didn t realized it until several days later? Below is a report on the effects
of long term exposure of certain household chemicals will have on CD s.
Possible hypotheses:
It is my belief that the Sulfuric Acid will be the one to do the most damage to the CD. If there is
any damage done at all.
Experimental Design and Timeline:
I have wondered about what a household chemical will do when exposed to a CD. So I have
decided to conduct an experiment in which I will take 5 pre recorded audio CD s and divide
them into 24 different sections. That will allow me to place 1 drop of each chemical onto each
section 1 day for 24 days and record the result. I have decided to do this by trying out several
different acids and solvents that you can find around the house.

The world s energy crisis has worsened in recent years, as oil prices dramatically increased due to
the limited amount of available oil. Global warming is considered as a byproduct of energy crisis,
because as oil continues to burn in the refining process, CO2 is constantly emitted to the
atmosphere at a fast rate and in heavy concentrations, which in turn, worsens the global warming
situation. Photovoltaic cell technology converts sunlight into direct current electricity. This source
can be a possible solution to solve the energy crisis as well as the global warming issue.

One of the possible solutions to solve these problems is the replacement of renewable energy,
solar energy, which converts sun energy directly to usable energy such as electricity. This will
possibly slow down the process of energy crisis and global warming. 3 Results and Discussion
Almost everything in our daily lives depends on oil as a major energy source, automobiles,
freeways, commutes, air travel, food and heater/air conditioning. Since the production of oil is
considered cheap and convenient in economic terms, people rarely consider alternative sources
of energy. Until recently, the energy crisis has worsened. This is indicated by the rising of oil
prices. The world, especially the U.S. is highly depending on the Middle Eastern oil because oil
productions in other places are constantly declining. Not only city residents are dependent on oil,
but also the farmers. Farmer represents 2% of the American population, but they can produce
enough food for the rest of the 98% of the population due to the help from the oil powered
machineries. It is estimated that it takes approximately one ton of oil to produce one steer. (The
