Our school is divided into first
(1st – 5th class) and second
(6th – 9th class grade).
There are 20 teachers and
about 200 students attending
our school.
Compulsory school attendance
in the Czech Republic starts for
children in the age of 6 and it is
complete when they are 15.
Our school takes part in Health School Association. The project is beeing guaranted by
National Health Organisation under the World Health Organisation. Thanks to this Project
we are beeing provided for example: drinking regime, relaxation items in classrooms and
special teaching aids.
School is also included into Project „School for everyone“ under the Open Society Fund
Association as a one of ten schools in the Czech Republic.

3. School is specially focused on Information
Technologies. We also have special clases for
children with learning difficulties.
We have a great choice of voluntary subjects
for children – pottery, computers, drama works,
first aid lessons, sport, languages, singing etc.
As a compulsory foreing languages are from
3rd grade taught German and English.
School is equiped by school playground, two
gymnasiums, school club for children‘s free
time, school canteen, afternoon club for young
children.
We are one of four schools in the Czech
Republic which has been involved into Home
Schooling Project.

old. It has been found in 1894.

25. Prague is among the most frequently visited cities in the world. Places of
interest for tourists are not, however, concentrated just there. Every part of
Bohemia and Moravia has something to offer visitors.
For some it is old cathedrals and picturescue coves of historical towns,
others value the silent mountain valleys or the mysterious atmosphere of
romantic ruins and ancient castles.

29. Vamberk´s lace
Bobbin lace and the town of Vamberk
(which is situated in the middle-north part
of Czech republic) cannot be thought apart
from each other. As can we read in old
chronicles, tradition of lace-making in the
area of Vamberk is more than 400 years
old.
Skilful lace makers were straggle over the
whole Orlicke mountains (mountains in the
north-east of Czech republic), especially in
the area of Vamberk.

38. The first fishponds may well have been established during the reign of Charles IV. One of
the oldest and largest ponds in the Třeboň region, Dvořiště, is datable back to the second
half of the 14th century (1363). In 1450, there were already as many as twenty ponds
covering about 700 hectares

Bohemian cuisine is influenced by two major culinary themes: the German-Czech
culinary tradition, with its strong regional variation, dominating naturally in those
