Contents Social Science
This year you will study two important periods in History: Middle Ages and Early Modern Age.
You will study Human Geography.
Year-long project:
This project has two parts:
 The first part stretches the first and the second terms. It consists on making some albums with
pictures and explanations of the most important artistic styles from the 7th
century to 17th
century.You will be posted some instructions to do your project on the teacher´s blog.You must
handit into your teacheraccordingto the followingchart. Atthe endof the term youwill take a test
about what you learnt. You´ll be given the exact day of your project delivery and your test at the
beginning of the lesson.

 The second part stretches the third term. It consists on making your own mini-atlas by completing
blankpolitical mapsof the differentcontinents.Youmusthandit in to your teacher according to the
followingchart. Some dayslateryouwill take a testaboutwhat youlearnt. It will take 10 minutes at
the beginning of the lesson.

 Exams: 60%
 Projects1

: 25%
 Notebook and worksheets: 10%
 Attitude: 5%
o (Bad – 0p; Medium – 0.25p; High: 0.5p)
o (Care over work, enthusiasm in class, group work
collaboration,doinghomework ontime,askingquestions
to understandconcepts,takingnoteswhile the teacher´s
explanation, etc.).
 Final score:
o You must obtain more than 3.5 points in your exams to
average your examination marks.
o You must obtain 5 points in your examination marks in
order to calculate an average with the results of your
projects and your attitude to the subject.
 Remedial exam:
o If the average of your examination marks is below 5
points, you must retake a single exam based on the
contents of the term.
o If you pass your remedial exam, it will be averaged with
the results of your projects and your attitude to the
subject.
 Penalties
You´ll obtain a negative point in
case:
o Your behavior is
inappropriate.
o You forgot your
homework.
o You don´t deliver your
projects on time.
o Anyotherwrong actions
that can happen during
the lesson.
If you get a negative point, you
will lose -0.15 points in the final
score at the end of the term.
You cannot regain that point.
Social Sciences teacher:
1 Year-long Project.
2 Activities made in class or athome.

At the end of the term Type of Assesment  Exams: 60%  Projects1 and activities2 : 25%  Notebook and worksheets: 10%  Attitude: 5% o (Bad – 0p; Medium – 0.25p; High: 0.5p) o (Care over work, enthusiasm in class, group work collaboration,doinghomework ontime,askingquestions to understandconcepts,takingnoteswhile the teacher´s explanation, etc.).  Final score: o You must obtain more than 3.5 points in your exams to average your examination marks. o You must obtain 5 points in your examination marks in order to calculate an average with the results of your projects and your attitude to the subject.  Remedial exam: o If the average of your examination marks is below 5 points, you must retake a single exam based on the contents of the term. o If you pass your remedial exam, it will be averaged with the results of your projects and your attitude to the subject.  Penalties You´ll obtain a negative point in case: o Your behavior is inappropriate. o You forgot your homework. o You don´t deliver your projects on time. o Anyotherwrong actions that can happen during the lesson. If you get a negative point, you will lose -0.15 points in the final score at the end of the term. You cannot regain that point. Social Sciences teacher: 1 Year-long Project. 2 Activities made in class or athome.
