A webquest is an inquiry-oriented activity where learners interact with online resources to investigate an open-ended question. There are short-term and long-term webquests. Webquests motivate students, integrate technology, and develop thinking skills through cooperative and problem-based learning. A webquest has an introduction outlining the task, a process section with steps and resources, an evaluation, and a conclusion. A WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented activity in which some or all
of the information that learners interact with comes from

A WebQuest is a scaffolded learning structure that uses links
to essential resources on the World Wide Web and an
authentic task to motivate students' investigation of an open-
ended question, development of individual expertise, and
participation in a group process that transforms newly acquired
information into a more sophisticated understanding. The best
WebQuests inspire students to see richer thematic
relationships, to contribute to the real world of learning, and to
