Subject : Water Science

Today We Will Learn
• What is the water cycle?

• What is the meaning of
  evaporation, condensation and
  precipitation?

• Why does it rain and snow?

• Where does the water come from?

• How does water go to the sky?
What have we learned about
         water?

Solid Liquid Gas
What have we learned about
         water?

 Everything living
   needs water.
What have we learned about
         water?

 What runs and has no
 feet, roars but has no
         mouth?
What have we learned about
         water?

 feet, roars but has no
         mouth?

the ocean, waterfalls, lakes or rivers
How is there always water
 in the ocean, waterfalls,
     lakes and rivers?
Water cycle

                      condensation

      precipitation

                                evaporation
Evaporation
Evaporation is when the sun heats
up water in rivers or lakes or the
ocean and turns it into vapor or
steam. The water vapor or steam
leaves the river, lake or ocean and
goes into the air

                           Video
Condensation

Water vapor in the air gets
cold and changes back into
  liquid, forming clouds.
Condensation

    Video
Precipitation
Precipitation
Precipitation occurs when so much
water has condensed that the air
    cannot hold it anymore. The
clouds get heavy and water falls
back to the earth in the form of
      rain, hail, sleet or snow.
