Waste Management
Waste Management is collection transportation and disposal
of garbage, sewage and other waste products. It is a process
of treating solid waste and offer variety of solutions for
recycling items that don’t belongs to trash.

 India generates 67 million tonnes of solid waste daily (Third largest garbage
generator).
 91% of waste collected by municipal corporation is dumped in open land.
 Deonar (Mumbai) is the India’s oldest and largest dumping ground setup in
1927.
 60% of total budget is spend on collection, 35% on transportation and 5%
on treatment and disposal of waste.
 By 2030 India would become largest generator of municipal solid waste.
