Waste Management
Waste Management is collection transportation and disposal
of garbage, sewage and other waste products. It is a process
of treating solid waste and offer variety of solutions for
recycling items that don’t belongs to trash.

Introduction

India generates 67 million tonnes of solid waste daily (Third largest garbage
generator).
91% of waste collected by municipal corporation is dumped in open land.
Deonar (Mumbai) is the India’s oldest and largest dumping ground setup in
1927.
60% of total budget is spend on collection, 35% on transportation and 5%
on treatment and disposal of waste.
By 2030 India would become largest generator of municipal solid waste.
