Budget

within funding limitations.
-Projects budget shortfalls or unanticipated financial needs, ensures funds are properly allocated,
obligated and spent to support program goals. In the case where budget shortfalls are
anticipated/projected, develops solutions to ensure the programs stay within their allocations.
-Identifies and applies new processes, information or procedures and applies to annual budget
plans.
-Evaluates the financial performance of assigned Lab/Branches, analyzes strategic operating
plans and applies towards the development of new budgets.
-Assists the Administrative Officer in compiling Fiscal Year Close-out daily reporting, applies
knowledge of federal budget processes to determine budget availability. Assists AOs with
monthly budget reports. Attends monthly budget meetings to track the status of ongoing projects.
-Utilizes NIH and CCR systems such as SOFie, BMS, Cognos (Frederick/Leidos).
Human Resources
-Provides guidance and advice on routine human resource issues to ARC and program staff
including Lab Chiefs, Deputy Directors, and Principal Investigators.
-Reviews all personnel packages for assigned lab/branches, including FTE (T5, T42), Non-FTE
(CRTAs/Visiting Fellows, Contractors, Special Volunteers, Guest Researchers, Summer
Students, and Collaborators), requesting information or documentation from program as needed.
-Coordinate with lab/program staff, Division of International Services (DIS), Human Resources
(OHR) to resolve requests in a timely fashion.
-Maintain and establish filing systems, including electronic files for easy tracking and retrieval of

-Acts as liaison with the Facilities Management office to coordinate logistics of space and office

keep monitored freezer contacts informed of any issues. I routinely correspond with both
REES Scientific & Mesa Monitoring with contract, service & technical issues.
