The study identifies groundwater potential zones in Tamil Nadu using remote sensing and GIS techniques, focusing on Salem, Erode, and Namakkal districts over an area of 360.60 km². The research involved creating thematic maps of various geological and hydrological parameters, which were analyzed through weighted overlay methods to classify zones as good, moderate, or poor in terms of groundwater potential. Validation through GPS field surveys confirmed the accuracy of the categorized zones with the well locations.
