This document describes key locations from the life of Jesus in Jerusalem. It mentions the Upper Room where Jesus shared the Passover meal with his disciples, the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus prayed on the night of his betrayal, and Golgotha where Jesus was crucified. It also describes the burial tomb where Jesus was laid and the earthquake and angel that appeared there after his resurrection. The document provides lessons about Jesus' community being naturally supernatural, both ancient/future and old/new as Jesus appointed women as the first apostles, and about multiplication as Jesus commanded his disciples to make disciples of all nations.
Luke 24:1-12
1 But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. 2 And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3 but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. 5 And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, 7 that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.” 8 And they remembered his words, 9 and returning from the tomb they told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. 10 Now it was Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James and the other women with them who told these things to the apostles, 11 but these words seemed to them an idle tale, and they did not believe them. 12 But Peter rose and ran to the tomb; stooping and looking in, he saw the linen cloths by themselves; and he went home marveling at what had happened.

Matthew 6:9-13King James Version (KJV)
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
John 10:30
King James Version (KJV)
30 I and my Father are one.
John 5:19-20,22-24
New International Version (NIV)
19 Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. 20 For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed.
22 Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, 23 that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.
24 “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.

Why We Need Christmas - PPT By Sean Si
This sermon focuses in on Jesus' appearance to His 11 remaining disciples on a mountain in Galilee. It begins with some background on Galilee today and in Jesus' day and then looks at the Great Commission itself. We specifically explore the reluctance of Jesus' disciples to go and make disciples of all nations and consider our reluctance both to go and to make disciples.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

17. MATTHEW 28:1-4
After the Sabbath, at dawn on the
first day of the week, Mary Magdalene,
and the other Mary, went to look at the tomb.
There was a violent earthquake, for an angel
of the Lord came down from heaven and,
going to the tomb, rolled back the stone,
and sat on it. His appearance was like
lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.
The guards were so afraid of him that
they shook, and became like dead men.
18. LESSONS on COMMUNITY
1. Jesus’ Community Is NATURALLY SUPERNATURAL
Jesus - & His angels – were always doing supernatural things,
but in fairly natural ways, & in very natural surroundings
19. MATTHEW 28:5-10
The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know
that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here;
He has risen, just as He said. Come, and see the place where
He lay. Then go quickly, and tell His disciples: ‘He has risen
from the dead, and is going ahead of you into Galilee.
There you will see Him…’”
So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid, yet filled
with joy, and ran to tell His disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them.
“Greetings,” He said. They came to Him, clasped His feet,
and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them,
“Do not be afraid. Go, and tell My brothers
to go to Galilee; there they will see Me.”
20. LUKE 24:9-12
When they came back from the tomb,
they told all these things to the Eleven,
and to all the others. It was Mary Magdalene,
Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the
others with them who told this to the apostles.
But they did not believe the women, because
their words seemed to them like nonsense.
Peter, however, got up, and ran to the tomb.
Bending over, he saw the strips of linen
lying by themselves, and he went away,
wondering to himself what had happened.

2. Jesus’ Community Is Both ANCIENT/FUTURE, OLD/NEW
Jesus appoints women as His first apostles…
there are ancient/old realities involved here,
but this also something totally new!

22. MATTHEW 28:16-20
Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee,
to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.
When they saw Him, they worshiped Him;
but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them,
and said, “All authority in heaven, and on earth,
has been given to Me. Therefore go, and make
disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything I have
commanded you. And surely I am with you
always, to the very end of the age.”

3. Jesus’ Community Is About MULTIPLICATION
Jesus commands all of us to help grow His
Kingdom family, to participate in making
disciples who make disciples; that includes you!
